2nd race on the day. Finished 2nd overall 1st masters. Felt abnormally good. So went with it. Didnt plan to be out in front. But found myself in 2nd with a tenth or two. 1st had 5-10 second lead that stayed that way till 1.5 in. Reeled him in slowly. Mile 2ish when hit the actual trailmi was right behind him. Ehh finished 2nd. But happy wuth it. Time is decpetive. 19:26.3 official time. The course though is hard and slows you down so i would absolutely say this would be a 18 or under 5k performance on a flat course.  This had 400 feet both up and down. Bear encounter tonight on the Bells Gap Trail. Let's just say i was extremely lucky. Mother and cub amd cub was running before I saw them. Race went way better then expected. What i mean is body felt way better and performed way better then I was expecting. 1st 2 miles ran at a comfortable pace carrying on a conversation with my one buddy.
