Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hey guys, there's
wars and rumors of wars, as it
is written, and we've seen thisnow coming to fruition.
President Trump just recentlyordered the US military to
strike three Iranian nuclearfacilities.
So it's just the start of WorldWar III.
It's a discussion the day after, so let's get your thoughts on
it.
All right, guys.
(00:25):
It's Carl Gerard on my podcast, just giving you a recap of
everything that's took place inthe last 23, 24 hours.
This is coming from the NewYork Post.
President Trump ordered the USmilitary to strike three Iranian
nuclear facilities, includingthe heavily fortified Fordow
site, using advanced bunkerbuster bombs.
(00:48):
I've seen a lot of people kindof tongue-tied on that one.
This weekend.
Trump claimed that thesestrikes successfully destroyed
Iran's nuclear enrichmentcapacity.
Now he addressed the nationlike right after you know the
strike took place.
So what I'm going to do is I'mgoing to play a clip of Trump
addressing the nation afterbombing these facilities.
(01:11):
Listen to this.
Speaker 3 (01:15):
A short time ago, the
US military carried out massive
precision strikes on the threekey nuclear facilities in the
Iranian regime Fordow, natanzand Esfahan.
Everybody heard those names foryears as they built this
(01:35):
horribly destructive enterprise.
Our objective was thedestruction of Iran's nuclear
enrichment capacity and a stopto the nuclear threat posed by
the world's number one statesponsor of terror.
Tonight, I can report to theworld that the strikes were a
spectacular military success.
(01:57):
Iran's key nuclear enrichmentfacilities have been completely
and totally obliterated.
Iran, the bully of the MiddleEast, must now make peace.
If they do not, future attackswill be far greater and a lot
easier.
For 40 years, iran has beensaying death to America, death
to Israel.
(02:17):
They have been killing ourpeople, blowing off their arms,
blowing off their legs withroadside bombs.
That was their specialty.
We lost over a thousand peopleand hundreds of thousands
throughout the Middle East andaround the world have died as a
direct result of their hate.
In particular, so many werekilled by their general, qasem
(02:40):
Soleimani.
I decided a long time ago thatI would not let this happen.
It will not continue.
I want to thank and congratulatePrime Minister Bibi Netanyahu.
We worked as a team likeperhaps no team has ever worked
before and we've gone a long wayto erasing this horrible threat
(03:00):
to Israel.
I want to thank the Israelimilitary for the wonderful job
they've done and, mostimportantly, I want to
congratulate the great Americanpatriots who flew those
magnificent machines tonight andall of the United States
military on an operation thelikes of which the world has not
seen in many, many decades.
(03:21):
Hopefully, we will no longerneed their services in this
capacity.
I hope that's so.
I also want to congratulate theChairman of the Joint Chiefs of
Staff, general Dan Raisenkane, spectacular general, and all of
the brilliant military mindsinvolved in this attack.
With all of that being said, this cannot continue.
(03:43):
There will be either peace orthere will be tragedy for Iran
far greater than we havewitnessed over the last eight
days.
Remember, there are manytargets left.
Tonight's was the mostdifficult of them all by far and
perhaps the most lethal.
But if peace does not comequickly, we will go after those
(04:05):
other targets with precision, speed and skill.
Most of them can be taken outin a matter of minutes.
There's no military in theworld that could have done what
we did tonight, not even close.
There has never been a militarythat could do what took place
just a little while ago.
Tomorrow, general Kane, secretary of Defense Pete
(04:28):
Hegseth, will have a pressconference at 8 am at the
Pentagon and I want to justthank everybody and, in
particular, god.
I want to just say we love you, god, and we love our great
military.
Protect them.
God bless the Middle East, godbless Israel and God bless
America.
We love our great military.
Protect them.
God bless the Middle East, godbless Israel and God bless
(04:48):
America.
Thank you very much, thank you.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
So, as you can see,
you know, this military action
here would raise a lot ofeyebrows in terms of the
reactions to it.
So the top Republicans inCongress supported the move,
deeming it necessary to curbIran's nuclear ambitions.
Conversely, though, seniorDemocrats and some Republicans
condemned the strikes asunconstitutional and they warned
(05:17):
that this could drive the USinto a broader conflict.
In response, iran vowed todefend itself and launch a
barrage of missiles at targetsacross Israel, injuring at least
16 people.
Israel, in turn, carried outadditional strikes on Iran
military targets, and there areconcerns that the US attack
could lead to further dangerousescalations in the region, as
(05:39):
Iran's allies and proxies mightretaliate against US forces and
interests.
Now, the strike seemed to havediminished hopes for a
negotiated resolution to thisconflict, with Iran's foreign
minister rejecting all calls toreturn to the negotiating table.
So what I want to do is I wantto play a clip from Iran's
(06:02):
foreign minister.
Iran's foreign minister, Ibelieve his name is Aba Abiy.
I might be I'm totallybutchering this man's name.
I'm totally butchering thisman's name.
But the Iran foreign ministerRachi, I believe it is.
He has response to this wholething.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
This is coming.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
Press so check this
out.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
The Republic of Iran
condemns in the strongest terms
with the United States' brutalmilitary aggression against
Iran's peaceful nuclearfacilities.
It is an outrageous, grave andunprecedented violation of the
fundamental principles of theCharter of the United Nations
and international law andinternational law.
(06:57):
The warmongering and lawlessadministration in Washington is
solely and fully responsible forthe dangerous consequences and
far-reaching implications of itsact of aggression.
There is no red line that theyhave not crossed, and the last
(07:18):
one and the most dangerous onewas happened only last night,
when they crossed a very big redline by attacking nuclear
facilities.
I don't know how much room isleft for diplomacy.
Speaker 1 (07:35):
Now, guys, this
sounds like a pretty sticky
predicament.
So, as you can see, they're notgoing to just let this one get
swept under the rug.
You know, when this strikeinitially happened, a lot of
people just pretty much came outand said that, like, this is
not going to work out good, thisis not going to work out good
Even if it as I heard one punditsaid even if it took, even if
(07:58):
it took Iran, say, about 15years to rebuild their whole
nuclear weapons facilities.
They're going to use that insome form or fashion, and I
think that's something that weneed to be aware of.
So, as it was stated earlier, the key nuclear sites that were
targeted by the US militaryincluded, as President Trump
(08:20):
said, the Fordow nuclear site, natanz and another facility in
Isfahan.
The operation employed powerfulbunker buster bombs and cruise
missiles as well.
So now, naturally, the reactionfrom the US lawmakers were
divided along the party lines.
Right so the strikes on Irannuclear sites.
(08:41):
The top Republicans in Congress, such as Speaker Mike Johnson
and Senator John Thune, praisedthe military operation as a
necessary measure against Iran'snuclear ambitions and that it
maintained the strikes, maintaining that the strikes
were consistent with Trump'sforeign policy.
Now, a lot of people you knowargue too that Trump totally
(09:02):
backtracked on what he wasinitially said in his reelection
was that he was trying to bringpeace.
So, in contrast, seniorDemocrats and some Republican
lawmakers condemned the strikesas unconstitutional and raised
concerns that they could seethat they could escalate into a
broader war in the middle in theMiddle East.
(09:23):
Democratic leader Senator ChuckSchumer and Representative
Hakeem Jeffries also spokeagainst it, characterizing the
strikes as misleading andreckless, demanding
accountability from Trump andcalling for congressional
authorization which I thinkTrump did go around Congress to
(09:45):
even get this done, which issomething that should not even
happen.
Some Democrats, includingRepresentative Alexandria
Ocasio-Cortez, or AOC as she'smore widely known, suggested
that the strikes warrantedimpeachment proceedings against
Trump.
However, a few Democrats, likeSenator John Fetterman,
expressed immediate support forthe strikes.
(10:06):
Overall, republicans generallybacked the military action,
while Democrats largelycondemned it, as probably they
would, as unconstitutional andpotentially dangerous,
highlighting a clear partisandivide in the lawmakers'
response.
Now, iran's immediate responseto the US, as you just heard,
(10:28):
was that the nuclear facility, the nuke that it.
I'm sorry, let me get thisbacktrack.
I'm sorry, let me get thisbacktrack.
The US attack on its nuclearfacilities included a vow to
defend itself, laboring theattack, a grave, unprecedented
violation of international law.
Iran retaliated by launchingmissiles at targets in Israel,
(10:48):
resulting in injuries andcasualties.
Now, several key concernsemerged regarding the potential
for escalated conflict in thatregion following the US strikes
on Iran's nuclear facilities.
One of them is fear of Iranianretaliation.
Concerns were raised thatIranian forces or their militant
proxies across the Middle Eastcould respond to the US
(11:12):
bombardment by attackingAmerican troops or allies and
potentially igniting furtherfighting and a border regional
conflict.
Likelihood of entering adangerous phase of war, all
right.
The strikes also could initiatea more dangerous phase of
ongoing conflict between the USand Israel and Iran and concerns
(11:32):
about border militaryengagement.
Some Democratic lawmakerscriticized the strikes as
unconstitutional and calls thatthey could lead the US into an
unauthorized military conflictin the Middle East.
Doubts about Iran's willingnessto negotiate by analysts.
(11:53):
They were skeptical that thestrikes would lead Iran's
leaders to embrace diplomaticsolutions, with one stating that
Iran was likely to believe itcan simply capitulate to the
United States.
The potential for Iranianretaliation against you as
interests were that the warnings.
If the US became more involvedin the conflict, iran could
(12:16):
retaliate by attacking Americanmilitary bases, deploying naval
mines in the Persian Gulf orattempting to strategically
excuse me, strategicallysignificant Strait of Humas.
Now, with that being said, guys,I want to hear your thoughts on
it because you know this is avery fluid situation here and
(12:41):
we're getting more informationday by day and it's just, you
know, it's just something thatcame out the blue and this is
very concerning.
Again, some of the concernscentered around the risk of
escalating the conflict, thepotential for a wider regional
war and doubts about the strikesachieving the desired
diplomatic outcomes with Iran.
(13:02):
Now I just want to hear whatyour take on it is because, like
again, this is a very fluidsituation.
Keep your ear to the ground.
As I said, wars and rumors ofwars, but what do you think?
Do you think Trump was rightfor doing this?
I mean, I personally don't seethe point in it for him having
the US involved in this.
Do you think it's a potentialfor a World War III?
(13:24):
What do you think?
Please reach out, drop it inthe comments If you think that
this is not going to end wellfor the United States in terms
of another war being started orbeing a part of another broader
conflict between two nations.

What do you think about thiswhole conflict with, you know,
(14:29):
israel, iran, and now with theUS inserting itself in it, and
some say that US insertingitself in it, and some say that
even Russia, china.
I mean, it's a lot of movingparts in the story, guys.
Just keep your ear to theground, all right.
