Numbers 1-3 :: Don't Judge a Book by Its Title

 

 

At first glance, Numbers might not sound like the most exciting book—but don’t let the title fool you. These opening chapters are about way more than a census. They tell the story of a people in transition, our God who calls each person by name, and a journey through the wilderness with Him at the center.

 

In this episode, we’ll unpack how God was preparing His people—not just for travel, but for trust. Each tribe was counted, every role assigned, and the camp was arranged with God’s presence right in the middle. It’s a powerful reminder that He isn’t distant at all. He leads, provides, and walks with His people—even in seasons of uncertainty.

 

And just like Israel, we all go through wilderness seasons. Times when the path ahead isn’t clear, when we feel lost or stuck. But the same God who guided them guides us too. He knows our names, calls us with purpose, and invites us to trust Him as we journey forward.
