Welcome to Open Premise: the show where my guest comes up with the premise to each episode! The thing I love about recording this podcast is that I truly never know what to expect. I ask fun, interesting, and talented guests to join me, and I’m always surprised and thrilled by the creative premises they throw my way. I have no control over my own show, and I wouldn’t trade that for the world. This is Open Premise.
Elliott McVey is a 20-year-old standup comedian! He's so funny and makes me wish I started comedy earlier. What a guy! Elliott and I discuss our music taste from middle school. Does it hold up? I guess you're about to find out.

Kate McCarthy is a comedian from San Fransisco and LA and New York and Minneapolis. She is from America. She is absolutely hilarious. I'm still surprised she agreed to be on my show??? I'm so glad she did. She brought with her a topic I knew a thing or two about: 3-sibling families. It just so happens I come from one myself.

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
