In this episode Nicoleta chats about menopause and happiness with Lisa Adams, registered nurse and yoga teacher from Manchester.

Find how Lisa embarked on a career in health care now spanning over 3 decades and in time developed interest in menopause and women’s health.

Learn that there is not much happiness in the medical world due to organisational issues like underfunded services and overworked staff which generally keeps the morale low.

How to find happiness inside yourself and how to reach that mental state where you feel at peace, content and balanced.

Why do people in the post-modern search for happiness in the outside world and how the answer to our questions can be find within ourselves and in the mirror of our souls.

Take ownership and responsibility for your illness or condition and listen to your body. It is not easy to recognize the menopause symptoms.

Why are we still not talking enough about this topic? Why many women are not aware of the cause of the symptoms that settle in insidiously at times. What are the symptoms of menopause. What to do when GPs misdiagnose and prescribe antidepressants because they have not been trained in menopause, plus many other questions answered on the way.

Women need to learn to be caring and nurturing towards themselves not only for other people, especially now that women live 2 – 3 decades, almost a third of their lives post-menopausal.

Health is paramount and education in schools curriculum for both girls and boys to help shape their relationships in a healthy way could lower the now highest rate of divorce in menopausal women.

Menopause remains a sensitive subject surrounded by stigma. Women find it difficult to talk to others about their experience and men struggle to understand them.

Conversations about menopause are taking place in whispering and women don’t know where to turn to.

Get informed and educated and feel empowered to implement actions to make the menopause transition as positive as it can be for yourself and the people around you.
