An Even Better Message - Jonah

In the Book of Jonah, we consistently see God’s message of mercy and grace. Yet, as an OT book in Jonah we’re not able to see this message in its fullness; these things foreshadow a greater message to come! That greater message is Jesus, and Jesus himself noted that the story of Jonah pointed forward to Him.

You Can Run, But You Can't Hide - Jonah
Jonah 1:17, Chapter 2
In his distress and difficulty, Jonah cried out to God. When we find ourselves in spiritual distress and difficult circumstances, we need to surrender to God and seek His help humbly, transparently, and repentantly. When we do this, even though we do not deserve it, we will receive God’s mercy and grace.

Jonah disregarded God’s call and went his own way. We often choose our own agenda over God’s plan, yet amazingly, God still pursues us with mercy and grace even when we’re disobedient.
