Be a 9/12 American | United We Stand, Divided We Fall

For those who were fortunate enough to experience 9/12/01, you know it was a day of transformation. Albeit short-lived, the bickering and disagreements that are the norm for any functional society nearly ceased. On that day, and many days that followed, most Americans set aside their difference, and came together - a truly united, United States. Only 20 years after 9/11, our nation is in utter chaos. The American flag, by some, is seen as a symbol of hate. The enormous good our beautiful Republic has spread throughout the world is discarded - and all focus is on the mistakes of the past.  If we could deteriorate to this degree in only 20 years, what will this nation look like in 20 more years? It is up to us - We The People - to either come together in support of the blood-bought freedom we enjoy - or, lose it forever. I certainly hope we do not need another 9/11 to bring us together once again... and, I fear not even an act of terror so horrific could heal the internal hemorrhaging we are experiencing. We must find a way to bring 9/12 back again. Each and every one of us must commit to be a 9/12 American. Or, I fear, our Republic is doomed.
