Now on to the show.
Hey friends, welcome to anotherepisode of Organized Chaos.
I am so glad you're here andI'm super pumped for today's
episode, because today we'regoing to be talking about
morning routines, but not justany morning routine.

(00:52):
I'm going to share with youwhat I call my hype up morning
routine, so it can energize yourday, set you up for success and
help you get things donewithout feeling defeated at the
end of the day.
What I really want to sharewith you is what has transformed
my mornings and enhanced myproductivity throughout the day.
First, I want to start off withwhy it's important to even have

(01:12):
a morning routine.
So there are so many benefitsto having a routine, because it
just sets up a positive tone forthe day.
It can influence your mindset,of course, your productivity and
just your overall well-being.
We all thrive on routines, sowhy not make it the best that
you can?
I'm going to share with you howI got started with a morning

(01:32):
routine because, believe it ornot, I am not a morning person
and you don't have to be amorning person in order to have
a morning routine.
I've been a night owl most ofmy life, but because of work and
kids and just me trying tofigure out how to be healthier,
I needed to set up a morningroutine.
Now, morning routines don'thave to be three, four, five

(01:55):
o'clock in the morning, now.
A lot of people have differenttimes.
It's just having a routine thatsets you up for the day.
It's a set of things that youdo that tackle some components
that you're working on.
So for me personally, my hypeup morning routine consists of
inspiration, reflection,planning, action and fitness.

(02:16):
Now I'm going to go into all ofthose individually, but notice
how I go from waking up withinspiration, reflecting on my
life, planning my day orplanning for goals, taking some
type of action and then movingmy body.

(02:37):
So you're going to see how thishas benefited me so much, and
your morning routine doesn'treally have to contain all of
these things.
However, I have found that forme personally, this has been the
best and I've been able tomaintain it for a long time.
But I do have to say, for thosemom entrepreneurs out there,
this set of components for yourmorning routine is a game

(03:01):
changer for you, because you'regoing to find out that you don't
have enough time in the day.
You feel like you don't haveany direction when you sit down
to work, or you don't have timeto work out or just take care of
yourself.
So you're going to find thatthis hype up morning routine is
going to fit your lifestyle sowell.

(03:23):
So I call my routine hype upbecause I have to hype myself up
.
I am not a morning person, likeI said, so I have to do things
to really hype up my mentalstate and my physical state.
So I first started off withinspiration.
So for me that's either readinga book or listening to a book,
and not just any book, like aninspirational book or something

(03:46):
specifically that I'm trying tolearn.
So I'm making sure I start theday off with positive and
uplifting content.
So currently I'm reading we AllShould Be Millionaires by
Rachel Rogers.
Now, I really like this book.
So far I'm only in chapter four, but it's just something that
gets you thinking and feelsmotivational, because when you

(04:09):
hear other people's stories oftheir past failures but now
they're succeeding and they'resharing what they did, like I
always say, success leaves clues.
So when you're reading thesebooks and you're kind of
learning on some of the stepsthat you can take and some of
the mindset that you can applyin order to reach your goals,

(04:31):
like that's just a really greatway to start off the day.
The next step is all aboutreflection.
So for this I say journalingand practicing gratitude.
Now I have my planner and thathas sections for me to plan out
my day and everything, butthere's also a place where I can
write down three things I'mgrateful for, and even a place

(04:52):
where I can journal and just youknow, free form write anything
that I want, anything that's onmy mind.
This is such a great habit toget into because you're focusing
on your mindset and yourself-awareness and once a week I
will go back and look at theweek and see what went well, so
that I'm focusing on my wins andthen I also see what I can

(05:14):
change to improve the followingweek.
This habit really helps youstay grounded.
We can get really caught up onthe day-to-day hustle that we
don't take time to actually sitdown and think of all the great
things that are happening.
Now let's move on to planning.
So this is where I review mygoals and I plan out my day.

(05:36):
Again, this is in my journal,so I can do it kind of all at
once and this way I'm makingsure that the things that I'm
doing align with my goals and Ihave more clarity.
For my day I have 90-day goals, but then I also have daily
goals.
So if there's somethingspecific that I want to get done

(05:57):
and usually it's just one thingI will write that down as one
of my goals.
Then I do some time blocking, where I write down the things
that I'm going to be doingspecifically, so when I'm going
to be working out, when I'mgoing to be taking the kids to
school, you know when I'm goingto take a shower, when I'm going
to eat, when I'm going to work.
So this helps me so muchbecause I know exactly what it

(06:22):
is that I need to do and I don'twaste time.
But I also make sure that Itake breaks.
So even that is on my calendar.
Next is action.
So I call this my power hour ofwork, because this is when the
house is completely quiet.
I have almost zerointerruptions.
So why not get something doneas far as work, as far as the

(06:43):
business?
Later on I will set some timeaside of like a bigger chunk of
time that I can do some focuswork.
But this one hour in themorning, man, it just feels
great to be able to just checksomething off so early in the
morning, and sometimes it's noteven like a really big project,

(07:05):
it's just something that I cando, that nobody's going to
bother me.
Nobody's going to bother me atthat time.
So I can actually just sit downand just feel productive.
And I call it action becauseit's usually something that's in
my 20%.
So, based on the 80-20 rule, that 20%, the high value items,

(07:27):
the high value tasks I make surethat this is some of the time
that I use to focus on those.
So this one's pretty simple,it's fitness and this is a time
that I work out.
I have to work out at this timeand it's not because it's like
a chore, it's because, first off, I'm able to do it without

(07:50):
interruptions.
But also it gets me hyped upphysically.
So I am physically capable oftaking on the day.
I am mentally stable to get thekids up when they don't want to
get up, right.
So I don't lose my crap andit's just a way for me to get my
body moving, get my bloodflowing and I just feel good

(08:14):
after I do it.
So it's non-negotiable for meand I don't do it every single
day.
Let me emphasize that I don'tdo it every single day.
I do it five to six days a week, depending on what program I'm
doing.
But even if I don't have ascheduled workout, I still do
something.
I will stretch, I will do somefoam rolling or even some

(08:37):
meditation, and it's justsomething to really help me with
my energy levels and just myoverall health.
Okay, so now it's your turn tofigure out what your hype up
morning routine is going to be.
Take some of these componentsand apply them.
You don't have to apply all ofthem, just pick one.

(08:59):
Pick one that you can do and doit consistently.
And once you have that down asa habit, then implement
something else so you cangradually set up the morning
routine that's going to workbest for you.
All right, so just to recap.
So the hype of morning routinethat I have personally has five

(09:19):
components.
One is inspiration, so that isreading a good book or listening
to a good book.
Reflection, and that isjournaling and practicing
gratitude.
Then there's planning, so thisis reviewing your goals and
planning out your day.
And then the next thing isaction, which is the power hour
work session.

(09:40):
And then there's fitness, justmoving your body.
So, like I said, experimentwith this, try out one habit and
then add on another once yourother habit is consistent, and
start tracking your results andsee how you feel.
And if you already have a hypeof morning routine that's
different than this one, I'dlove to hear it, because I

(10:00):
always want to share with mylisteners other options.

If you don't follow me, myhandle is at Teresa Hildebrand,

Thanks so much for listeningand tune in to the next episode.
