(00:31):

Now on to the show.
Hey friends, welcome back toanother episode of Organized
Chaos.
If you're new here, welcome tothe space where we get real
about juggling the chaos of lifewith some kind of order, and if
you are a returning listener, you already know we're in this

(00:53):
together.
So today I want to talk aboutsomething that's probably hit us
all at some point when a doorcloses in our life.
It might be a job opportunitythat didn't pan out, it might be
a project where you wereexcited and it just didn't take
off, or even a relationship thatended unexpectedly.
So we've all been there right.

(01:14):
It can feel like you'restanding at a dead end, with no
idea where to go next.
But what if I told you thatclosed doors weren't the end.
What if it's actually thebeginning of a new path, like an
unexpected opportunity that youdidn't see coming?
That's what we're going to bediving in today.
I want this to be an episode tofeel like we're just having a

(01:38):
chat over coffee, reflecting onthose moments that didn't go as
planned and how they mightactually be turning points we
didn't even know we needed.
So let's start by talking aboutthat feeling when a door closes
in your life.
It's such a gut punch, isn't it?
Like you pour your heart intosomething you're all in and then

(01:59):
, bam, the door slams shut.
It's disappointing, you mayfeel frustrated and it's easy to
feel like you've failed or thatyou missed your shot.
I remember a few years back Iwas working on a project I was
super passionate about.
I thought it was going to bethat big thing that took

(02:20):
everything to the next level, but then guess what?
It completely fell through, andat that point I felt like all
that hard work was for nothing.
But what I didn't realize wasthat the skills and lessons I
learned during that processwould actually set me up for
something even better down theline.

(02:41):
It's so normal to feel a wave ofemotions when things don't go
as planned, and we should allowourselves to feel those things.
But it's important not to getstuck there, because sometimes
that closed door is really justa detour steering us in a new
direction or maybe an unexpectedopportunity.

(03:03):
So let's talk about shiftingour perspective.
It's easy to see a closed dooras a failure or a missed
opportunity, but what if welooked at it as a nudge, a
little push from the universesaying hey, you're meant to go a
different direction?
I've learned that when wereframe our thinking from why

(03:25):
did this happen to me?
To what is this trying to showme, we can open ourselves up to
new possibilities.
It's not always easy, right, because we like to have control,
we like to know what's comingnext, but some of the most
incredible opportunities in mylife came from the moments of

(03:45):
uncertainty, when I had to pivotand try something new.
I once read a quote that statedsometimes not getting what you
want is a wonderful stroke ofluck, and that really stuck with
me.
It's a reminder that we can'talways see the big picture when
we're in the thick of things, that we can't always see the big

(04:06):
picture when we're in the thickof things, but looking back,
those detours often lead us toplaces we never even imagined.
Now I want to talk about thoselittle signs.
We might miss the subtle hintsthat a new opportunity is on the
horizon.
Sometimes it's a conversationthat sparks a new idea, or like
a chance encounter with someonewho introduces you to something

(04:28):
completely different.
These are the littlebreadcrumbs that life leaves for
us.
I remember once, after one ofthose doors slammed shut in my
face, I was feeling pretty low.
I ended up chatting with afriend who just happened to
mention a project she wasworking on, and it wasn't even
something I was initiallyinterested in.

(04:50):
But the more we talked, themore I realized it was exactly
what I needed to dive into next.
If I hadn't been open tolistening, I would have missed
it completely.
The key is to stay open, evenwhen you're feeling down.
Sometimes we're so focused onthat closed door in front of us
that we miss the window openingright next to it.

(05:12):
Let's get into the idea ofstaying open to new
possibilities.
I know it sounds simple, butit's easier said than done.
When something doesn't go asplanned sometimes, our instinct
is to often retreat, to likeprotect ourselves from the
disappointment again.
But what if, instead, weapproach these moments with
curiosity.
What if we asked ourselvesApproach these moments with

(05:35):
curiosity.
What if we asked ourselveswhat's next?
What can I learn from this?
When we embrace the uncertaintywith an open heart, it can lead
to the most amazingopportunities.
I've seen it in my own lifetime and time again.
There's a reason why people saytrust the timing of your life.
It's because when we let go ofthe need to control every single

(05:59):
detail, we make space forthings to unfold.
Okay, so I want to leave youwith something to think about.
What door has recently closedfor you?
Maybe it was a job, maybe itwas a business deal, maybe it
was a potential client, or evena relationship.
Take a moment to like reallysit with it and then ask

(06:19):
yourself what might this bemaking space for in my life?
What new path could be openingup that I haven't noticed yet?
These moments can feel likesetbacks, but they are often the
very thing that sets us up forthe greatest comebacks.
I challenge you to look at yourown life and find the hidden
opportunities in those closeddoors, and if you feel like

(06:41):
sharing, I'd love to hear yourstories.
You can always reach out to meon social media or just leave a
comment.
I want to thank you for spendingtime with me today.
I know these moments ofuncertainty can be really tough,
but I hope this episode hasgiven you a little bit of
comfort and maybe even a newperspective on the closed door
in your life.
Remember, when one door closes,it doesn't mean it's the end of

(07:05):
the road.
It's often the start of, like,a brand new adventure, one that
might lead you somewhere evenbetter than you imagined.
And if this resonated with you, please take a moment to share
it with your friends who mightneed a little inspiration today.
And if you haven't already, make sure you follow this
podcast so you don't miss anyfuture episodes.

(07:25):
We've got some amazingconversations coming up that I
can't wait to share with you.
All right, that's it for today.
I'm sending all the love andencouragement on your journey.
Until next time, keep embracingthe chaos and finding your own
path.
I'll see you in the nextepisode of Organized Chaos.
I hope you have an amazing dayand I'll see you next week.
