Speaker 1 (00:05):
Hello, and welcome to Outspoken. It's your dose of the
hottest influencer and pop culture news twice a week. I'm
Amy Torber and coming up on today's show, Tammy Hembro
returns to YouTube with a behind the scenes look at
her marriage breakdown. Sky Wheatley poses as her manager amid
advertising complaints and Matt Sakowski's Love Island Secret. But first

(00:28):
og travel blogger Lauren Bullen has far to break up
rumors after unfollowing her baby daddy Liam on Instagram. The
social media disc comes just months after the pair celebrated
their daughter's first birthday together. Before we get into it, okay,
can you bring listeners up to speed with who Lauren
Bullen is?

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Well. She's probably better known by her Instagram handle Gypsy Lust,
and she's attracted almost two million Instagram followers by sharing
very aesthetically pleasing snaps from her travels. She actually set
up her home base in Bali years ago, but she
returns to Australia quite often to visit her twin sister,
Ellie Watson. So Ellie Watson also is an influencer in

(01:05):
her own riot. She's better known by her Instagram handle
Elsa's Wholesome Life and she has six hundred and fifty
two thousand followers on Instagram. I remember I actually used
to follow Elsa, and I'd always heard of this gypsy lust,
but I'd never put two and two together and realized
that they were twin sisters. And I remember when Lauren
appeared in one of Ellie's blogs and my mind was blown.
I was like, was that gypsy lust? I'd heard so

(01:26):
much about her and that the twins is just bizarre.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Well, Lauren really was that og influencer, wasn't she. I
remember back in the day trying to get her on
a story for Today Tonight when I worked there, and
my boss was so out of touch with social media.
He's like, no one knows who she is, no one cares,
and I'm like, she's huge. Yeah, well, just two million
people seem to care exactly. Now, let's get back to
the breakup, because not only have Lauren and Liam unfollowed

(01:49):
each other on Instagram, they've also been absent from each
other's accounts, which is, of course a telltale sign that
something isn't right. So Liam last posted about Lauren in June,
and that was when they were holidaying together in Italy
with their daughter.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
Now, if they have broken up, sadly, it's not actually
the first time. So this couple has this incredible relationship
redemption art. So just for a bit of a timeline,
they actually began dating just months after Lauren announced her
shock split from her longtime partner and fellow travel blogger
Jack Morris. And this was massive news at the time
because Lauren and Jack had over four million Instagram followers

(02:26):
between them, and they were famous for taking beautiful couple
photos around the world, and they infamously built a three
story mansion in Balley together in twenty nineteen. So in
June twenty twenty one, when Lauren Hard launched her new
boyfriend Frenchman Liam to her socials, she was criticized for
moving on too quickly. In fact, some of her followers
accused her of trying to upset Jack with her new

(02:46):
loved up Instagram photos, and at the time, Lauren as
showed her fans that there was no drama and that
she and Jack were happy for each other. She wrote,
don't jump to conclusions that any of these posts are
hurting him. Believe me, I wouldn't be posting about it
if I believed this would hurt him. There is no
hashtag team Lauren or hashtag team Jack, so just leave it.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
She went on to say she didn't expect everyone to
understand or agree with her new relationship with Liam, saying
if you think it's too soon, that's okay, but you
have to realize you don't fully understand what people have
been going through prior to knowing about the breakup, so
you don't have any place to tell someone when it
is okay for them to love again. Yes, in the beginning,
I tried to run or deny feeling this way about

(03:26):
someone so soon, but when someone comes into your life
and makes you feel the way he made me feel,
then you better not run from it. I choose to
embrace it, and I'm so happy I did now.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Following all of that drama, Lauren and Liam ended up
spending the European Summer of twenty twenty one together in
between France and Greece before returning to Barley together. However,
less than a year later, Lauren announced their split on
her Instagram story, and she admitted that there was never
a perfect time to talk about a breakup, but she
had to address the elephant in the room awkwardly. She

(03:56):
happened to be in Paris at the time, which is
where Liam is from, and she said she found it
really difficult to document her trip there, so she wrote,
I'm far from ready to talk about this, but Liam
and I are no longer together. I know the majority
of you come from a place of loving and caring,
but I'm reminded every time I open Instagram to see
your messages. I share so much of my relationships, so
I know I somewhat owe an explanation now. For a while,

(04:19):
Lauren kept her dating life off social media, but she
began dropping clues in twenty twenty three that things were
back on with Liam. She never actually formally addressed it, though,
and then in March twenty twenty four announced that they
were pregnant with their first child.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
That's a pretty big way to relaunch your relationship back
on social media.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
Yes, quite a hard launch to say, oh, we're back
together and we're also having a baby, so it's very
sad news. If they actually have broken up. He got
me thinking, do you think you can ever make it
work with an X again?

Speaker 3 (04:46):
I think it.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
Depends how the relationship ended. If it ended because of cheating.
I don't think you can ever get over it, because
that is going to be brought back every single time
you have a fight.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
See. I've known couples who have broken up and been
apart for quite some time, then gotten back together, and
they've gone on to get married. So I think the
difference is that they've probably worked out what the issue
was and moved on from it. You can't hold on
to things from the last breakup, I think.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
See that's really awkward for the friends because anytime a
friend breaks up with someone, that's when you tell your
friend what you really thought about them.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
Yeah, and you're gone unfollowed.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
Yeah, And then it's super awkward when they're like, oh no,
I'm actually getting back with that person. You like think,
holy fuck, Like that's going to be super awkward when
I now have to refollow that person.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
Yeah. I've now learned to hold off from saying my
true opinions of someone because there always seems to be
that phase where the person will go back to them
for at least a little bit, and then they usually
come to their senses.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
Now, just back to Lauren. She added more fuel to
the fire last week when she documented traveling from Bali
to Ibtha solo with her one year old daughter, so
it took her three flights to get to the party island,
where she met up with her friends for what she
said was much needed girl time.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
If this doesn't screen breakup, I don't know what does.
She ended up conceding that the three solo flights parenting
were a lot and very ambitious of her. In fact,
she ended up sharing a story time about a female
passenger abusing her in business class because her daughter cried
during the night flight. So, according to Lauren, her daughter
slept for the first four hours, but made some noise

(06:17):
every couple of hours. Lauren was then left shocked when
she was confronted in her business class suite by a
female passenger. So Lauren's daughter was asleep on her as
this passenger aggressively said to her, how dare you? How
dare you bring your baby into business? I paid for
this so I can sleep. How dare you now? Lauren
said she was lost for words, but managed to respond

(06:39):
something along the lines of you think I want my
baby crying right now? Now?

Speaker 1 (06:43):
Lauren said the encounter tipped her over the edge and
left her sobbing in her seat. She wrote on her
Instagram story, I'm very emotional since becoming a mother, and
I just couldn't comprehend how someone could be so rude
and offensive to someone who was already in a very
vulnerable position. Flying with a young child is pretty stressful,
even when two parents are there, let alone on your own.

(07:04):
She went on to write, I want to share this
story for other mothers, and just anyone who has never
thought about how it feels to be the parent with
the crying baby on a plane, have some compassion for them.
I know many of us at times felt irritated by
a baby crying and maybe past a thought about it.
But to go out of your way to approach that
alone mother, how fucking mean. No one wants their baby

(07:24):
to be crying. No one wants to interrupt others' sleep.
But this is public transport, and I have as much
right as she does to be in business class with
my child. She better hire a private jet if she
thinks she's entitled to a completely uninterrupted flight next time. Anyway,
I hope I never have to encounter such a bitch again.
And I think the fact I was so rattled about
it shows a lot about my morals. Verse hers, I've

(07:45):
never heard anyone referred to business class as public transport.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
That's quite hilarious. But I suppose the only way to
be guaranteed a baby free flight is to charter your
own jet.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
Yeah, I'm in two minds because I obviously feel really
sorry for Lauren. That would be such a shit experience.
But can you imagine paying what twenty grand or something
to fly business class and having a baby cry the
whole way there?

Speaker 2 (08:07):
I mean, I've got to admit as well, before having
a baby, I was someone who was so annoyed when
I saw a baby was on my flight, and I
have had the experience of some long night flights and
economy with babies crying. Now that I am a mother, though,
I just feel so sorry for any parent that has
to endure a flight because I'm sitting there thinking, oh,
it's so hard on me having to listen to it,
but imagine having to tend to the baby. It would

(08:27):
be so bloody stressful. In saying that, though, Amy, I
do agree with you. If I'd paid all of that
money for business class, I would not be thrilled if
a baby was seated near me.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
And it doesn't surprise me that something like this happened
on an aeroplane because emotions are so high. Like I
saw a clip the other day on TikTok where a
man stood with his arms against the back of his
seat for eight hours to stop the man in front
of him reclining bad. Like people just turn into absolute animals.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
The thing is, though we've now progressed so far with
noise canceling headphones, surely they should be available in business class,
you know, just even to help out with people abusing
the flight attendants over babies being on planes.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
I have seen there's this trend where parents will bring
a little survival kit for the people sitting around their children,
and will often be like lollies and chocolate and ear plugs. Somehow,
I don't think that would go down well in first class.
They're not the sort of people that are impressed by
a couple of miles bars and some skittles.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
I'd love to know how many times the woman who
abused Lauren has flown business class, because I'd almost be
willing to give her the benefit of the doubt if
it was her first and only time, and it's been
interrupted by this famous travel.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
Vogger with that attitude I think she's in there all
the time. I think she thinks that business class is
just her personal cabin.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
Well. I actually looked up how much it costs for
a baby to travel business class with you, because I
know if you bring babies I think it's under two
on a regular flight, you don't have to pay for them. However,
it's a little bit different in business class, so you
end up having to pay around ten percent of the
adult fair if they sit on your lap, whereas if
you get a seat for them, you pay the same

(10:02):
as an adult houses class.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
Fair, because you should almost have to pay more because
of the inconveniency other people.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
Yeah, well it's pretty interesting because Malaysian Airlines is the
only airline who outright bands babies in their A three
eighty first class. They say babies aren't allowed due to
an inability to accommodate bassinets as well as passenger complaints.
There have also been some airlines who have either experimented
or implemented children free business class zones.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
I think that could be a good idea. Yeah, I
think that's a great idea. I heard on a podcast
that there's also now baby free hotels that you can
go to.

Speaker 2 (10:38):
Well, they've got baby free islands in Queensland, so it
makes sense. I think the real MVP here is Eddie
Had because they provide a flying nanny service that's available
to all passengers across all classes. So it's essentially an
in flight childcare assistance scheme where the nannies help with
bassinet and baby equipment. They also help with feeding, including

(10:58):
delivering meals, early warming bottles.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
Just going through the motions. At the end of the day,
life is not perfect. People aren't perfect.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
Tammy Hembro has given followers another look behind the scenes
of her marriage breakdown to Matt Zukowski. The og influencer
backed up the viral video she shared of her crying
last weekend with a YouTube vlog documenting the months leading
into her divorce announcement in June. Okay, this is the
first time that Tammy has posted a YouTube in over
four months.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
Yeah. Her last vlog was back in late March when
she visited her younger sisters in London, and the vlog
documented bits and pieces from Tammy's birthday, Wolfe's birthday, her
supplement brand selfish as pr tour in Melbourne, and her
trip to Egypt. So Tammy shared the link to a
YouTube on her Instagram story and provided a disclaimer revealing
she'd been avoiding posting the video and really didn't want to.

(11:56):
Let's listen to more of what she had to say whatever.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
Posted it, So if you want to go watch it,
go watch it, but bear in mind that had a
lot going on in the background.

Speaker 4 (12:07):
I don't know, I can't rewatch it.

Speaker 3 (12:11):
Because it's just like too.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
Much to me. But if you guys want to watch it.

Speaker 3 (12:17):
I thought, I'm just gonna post it whatever, because I
had the first time in Egypt, and like you know,
people here asking me.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
Went about IM posting my next YouTube videos.

Speaker 4 (12:25):
I'm just posting it.

Speaker 1 (12:27):
I'm guessing she didn't want to post it at the
time because she didn't want to provide further proof that
her and Matt had broken up.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
Yeah, and the end scene that was included in the
vlog was actually filmed around the time that Tammy started
teasing that something was going on. Remember it was a
week before she announced the divorce, and she said, look,
I've been going through something difficult.

Speaker 4 (12:47):
I mean.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
The other telltale signs were the fact that Matt was
absent from all of these important family events, which was
already quite obvious on her Instagram story. In terms of
this final scene, Tammy admitted that she was going through
a difficult time and had been pretending online that everything
was okay, and she went on to say that it
had been really difficult for her to show up for
her kids and also work while she was going through

(13:09):
something so difficult.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
Well, imagine how many people would have been asking her
in Egypt, how's Matt like your wedding looked beautiful?

Speaker 2 (13:16):
Yeah, because she was hosting this trip alongside this travel agency,
so they were all fans of hers that were on
the trip. Now. At one point in the YouTube, Tammy
almost broke down in tears, but pulled herself together and
said she'd cried enough for an entire year in the
last month, so didn't want to cry anymore. She then
said this.

Speaker 3 (13:35):
Just going through the motions. At the end of the day,
life is not perfect. People aren't perfect, and life can
throw you some curveballs and you just got to roll
with it. Sometimes it's not the outcome you wanted, and
that's just lif Sometimes the universe tries to tell you

(13:58):
and you don't listen until you are forced to listen.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
Tammy went on to tease that she would have more
to say in her next YouTube video. Let's take a
listen to what she said.

Speaker 4 (14:09):
I will talk about things more.

Speaker 3 (14:12):
I probably won't go into like super details, but I
definitely will talk about it more later on. Because for me,
like having an online presence and stuff I don't. It's
not like I just post like just fashion or just
gym or just you know, like I very much show
my just my life and me and stuff online.

Speaker 4 (14:35):
So it makes me feel better not having.

Speaker 3 (14:40):
To like hide certain pasts and in the past like
I do. I do try to have respect for other
people involved and not you know, I never want to
hold on to hatred and negativity and like make other
people look bad.

Speaker 4 (14:54):
But I also do want to be able to express now.

Speaker 2 (15:01):
As I mentioned before, this scene was shot in June,
before she announced her divorce. I wonder, though, if she
will be going into more detail in her new YouTube videos. Well.

Speaker 1 (15:12):
I really think it depends how much Matt actually reveals
because he has been stoking the fire. He made a
similar vow last week to his podcast listeners, saying that
he was going to share more about his breakup journey.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
Yeah off the back of that, I waited with baited
breath to listen to his podcast. Interestingly, Matt and his
co host Anna McAvoy chose to interview a narcissist abuse educator.
So Matt and Anna claimed it was a topic their
audience had asked them to cover for a long time.
Interesting timing they chose to do that that week.

Speaker 4 (15:43):
Now.

Speaker 2 (15:43):
In the episode, they spoke about how to tell if
someone is a narcissist or just has narcissistic traits, as
well as discussing how social media encourages narcissism. I felt
pretty uncomfortable listening to this episode because to me, it
felt like a thinly veiled swipe at Tammy.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
It definitely came across that way. I think if Matt
wants to speak out about Tammy, just say something. Don't
start sharing this type of petty stuff online.

Speaker 2 (16:07):
Well, he can't come out and say she's a nascissist.
This is the way that he can infer that's what
he's thinking without getting himself in too much trouble. I mean,
we've got to remember that they're still finalizing the divorce.
There are lawyers involved, so he needs to be really
careful about what he says, maybe he is waiting to
see how he fares in this divorce before putting too

(16:28):
much information out there.

Speaker 1 (16:29):
Well, we already know that they signed a pre nut.

Speaker 2 (16:31):
Yeah, but you never know. If there's things that people
don't want discussed, there might be negotiations back and forth.

Speaker 1 (16:36):
What we know from listening to So Dramatic is that
Tammy has already threatened Matt legally, so allegedly, So that's
maybe why he's trying to speak in riddles on his podcast.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (16:47):
Well.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
Meanwhile, one of Matt's former Love Island co stars has
alleged a whole episode of the reality show never aired
due to something Matt did during filming. Vanessa Sierra, who
Matt had a short lived romance with on the show
six years ago, divulged that she was sworn to secrecy
over the incident. So it all came out during a
Q and A over the weekend when Vanessa was asked

(17:08):
by a follower if she had any Love Island dirt
to share for fun, and she replied, there's a whole
episode that they didn't air because of something that matt
Z did, and the producers told me not to tell anyone,
including the Islanders. In hindsight, I should not have listened, and.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
She has continued to remain tight lipped about what actually
went down, And it's important to point out there has
been no suggestion of wrongdoing on Matt's behalf, and we're
definitely not trying to suggest he did anything.

Speaker 2 (17:32):
I would love to know what actually happened, though. It's
pretty mysterious to say that a whole episode of the
show was pulled because of something he did. I mean,
if you're going to come out and say that, just
tell the full story rather than tease everyone.

Speaker 1 (17:45):
Maybe Vanessa will have to release her own subtle podcast.

Speaker 2 (17:48):
Well. In terms of their relationship on the show, I
didn't actually watch this series, but she was one of
the original Islanders in season two of the show, and
she coupled up with Matt pretty early on when he
entered the Villa a bomb show.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
So you had to see this series.

Speaker 4 (18:02):
No, I actually want to.

Speaker 2 (18:03):
Go back and watch it.

Speaker 1 (18:03):
No. I watched it, and I've seen some clips of
the show coming back on TikTok, and there was one
where because Matt's sort of claim to fame was that
he'd slept with I think it was like two hundred
women and some of the girls had a bit of
a go at him, and that clip has since gone
viral on TikTok.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
I'm sure it has.

Speaker 1 (18:20):
The issue with matt was. I think he gave a
lot of the girls the ick and he had a
lot of difficulty coupling up. He was in a lot
of friend couples.

Speaker 3 (18:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (18:28):
Well, Vanessa ended up getting voted off the show by
the other contestants because they thought she was leading matt
On and didn't actually have very good intentions with him,
and he decided to remain on the show and he
didn't leave with her. And apparently when he left the
show and found out that Vanessa was the villain, he
wasn't really interested in getting to know her any further inter.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
Just seeing she's brunette as well, because that's meant to
be his time big boobs and brunette.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
Yeah, well, she.

Speaker 4 (18:53):
Ticked the boxes there.

Speaker 2 (18:54):
The last time we spoke about Vanessa Sierra was back
in twenty twenty one, so that was when she made
it explosive claims about her then boyfriend, Australian tennis player
Bernard Tomic. So they made headlines when they started an
OnlyFans account together and then Vanessa created a massive media
frenzy when she claimed that Bernard had anger issues and

(19:15):
that he smashed her laptop during and Hour.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
That's right, she released that vision, and then Bernard accused
her of being a clout chaser and using his name
for attention.

Speaker 2 (19:24):
Ironically, they actually ended up getting back together after that
for only a short amount of time, but they somehow
managed to patch things over well.

Speaker 1 (19:30):
On the topic of athletes, there are currently whispers that
Tammy is planning her Brownlow look. Wouldn't this be epic?

Speaker 2 (19:37):
Yeah? Well, we don't have to wait too long because
the Brownlow takes place the Monday before the Grand Final,
and that's on the twenty second of September. I cannot
wait to see if Tammy hembro rocks up with Bailey Smith.
It's been reported that Tammy is set to create the
biggest spotlight still since Beck Judd's read dress twenty years ago,
and countless designers have been contacting Tammy to dress her

(19:59):
for the event. However, it's been tipped that she'll be
styled by influencer stylist Paul VERSACEI.

Speaker 1 (20:05):
We definitely didn't have this in our twenty twenty five
predictions Tammy and ending the Brownlow.

Speaker 2 (20:10):
I would be absolutely flawed knowing that this was in
the cars.

Speaker 1 (20:12):
But well, I think at the time we all thought
that the marriage would end, but we felt too mean
to say in our predictions. But a lot of people
sent that through.

Speaker 2 (20:19):
I think we did predict it, surely, No, we didn't.

Speaker 1 (20:22):
We felt too mean. It was an aldesome private prediction. Yeah,
it was a private prediction.

Speaker 2 (20:28):
Five youngness again, quit my job.

Speaker 1 (20:32):
Sky Wheatley has been accused of breaking advertising rules after
filming herself getting a salmon sperm facial. The allegations came
off the back of the former Reality Style revealing she
spent more than five hundred k on plastic surgery and injectables.

Speaker 2 (20:47):
I love it because you had to record that a
couple of times, because you burst out laughing when you
said that she was filming herself getting a salmon spam facial,
because it kind of sounds like she broke advertising rules
because it's kind of a sordid process. It's notually just
injected into your face.

Speaker 1 (21:02):
But I'd only heard of the salmon sperm facials from
bek Jud's podcast that we spoke about a couple of
months ago.

Speaker 2 (21:07):
Yeah, and that's why this story is so interesting. So
Sky is no stranger to sharing her experience with cosmetic procedures.
In twenty twenty five, she documented herself getting a breast
augmentation in Thailand as part of a promotional arrangement. Unfortunately,
that surgery went wrong and she was left with a
very noticeable double bubble in her right breast, and she

(21:27):
later paid twenty eight thousand dollars to have corrective surgery
in Sydney to fix the issue. Of course, this time
last year, Sky underwent a controversial fox eyelift in Turkey.
We spoke about that in length at the time, and
during that trip she also had a temporal lift and
liposuction on her arms and inner thighs. So it seemed
very on trend for Sky to share about getting a

(21:48):
salmon sperm facial. Nothing too out of the ordinary, and
she documented her experience on TikTok, sharing a glowing testimony
of the treatment. She also filmed the procedure in progress
and the aftermath. Sky also shared before and after photos
on an Instagram story and made claims about how the
treatment worked. It's important to point out it's unclear what

(22:08):
the advertising relationship is between Sky and the cosmetic Clinic.
She hasn't disclosed that there was a partnership, but she
tagged the skin Clinic in her TikTok and on her
Instagram story. So the big question is why is it
a problem and how does this differ to her sharing
about her plastic surgery.

Speaker 1 (22:26):
So the difference is that the procedure is actually regulated
by the TGA as a Class three medical device. So
back in twenty twenty two, the TGA updated their code
which impacted the way influencers promote cosmetic injectibles on social media.
So the rules are now very strict. Basically, influencers cannot
show before and after comparisons or provide testimonies.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
And it got me thinking about how Beck Judd recently
spoke about the salmon sperm facial on her podcast Vainish,
and it appears the difference is that Beck did it
in more of an educational way that was balanced, and
she spoke about both the risks and the benefits. It
also appears she wasn't actually paid to speak about it,
which is another major difference. It is all rather confusing
because it appears that the restrictions around the promotion of

(23:12):
medical goods and devices is actually stricter than the promotion
of surgeries, because you see so many influencers talking about
the various cosmetic surgeries that they've had and it doesn't
seem like they have to abide by any specific rules.
But that's essentially because surgeries are already regulated as a
professional service and the focuses on the practitioner, whereas with

(23:34):
medical goods and devices they can be misused by the
public more easily, So that's why they have what appear
to be stricter rules around advertising on social media.

Speaker 1 (23:44):
So it's interesting because it was actually the Daily Telegraph
who broke the story about Sky, and recently they have
been reporting on major media outlets who've been receiving fines
and court actions by the TGA for allegedly unlawful advertising,
and this is in relation to stories about medical cannabis,
weight loss drugs and also cosmetic surgery, so it's obviously

(24:05):
on their radar.

Speaker 2 (24:06):
Yeah, reading between the lines that seem like the Daily
Telegraph were quite annoyed by the fact that big media
are getting stung while influencers are dodging penalties. They even
reported that the TGA are yet to reveal comparable penalties
for influencers. The details the TJA have released though, are
that nearly thirteen thy five hundred online ads will remove

(24:27):
last year due to breaching restrictions. So I wonder if
they're really trying to make an example of Sky.

Speaker 1 (24:32):
I can understand why there would be frustration coming from
the large media outlets because the influencer world is so
unregulated and even though there are apparently all these rules
that they must follow, it doesn't seem that any influencers
ever actually get punished for doing the wrong thing. I mean,
how many times do we see influences not disclosing ads
and nothing ever happens.

Speaker 2 (24:53):
Yeah, at the worst, they seem to get a slap
on the wrist. I do want to point out the
TJA have not confirmed if Sky is being invest sigated,
as they cannot actually comment on individual cases.

Speaker 4 (25:03):
Well.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
Funnily enough, the Daily Telegraph reached out to Sky for comment,
and they reported that they received a message back from
a woman claiming to be Sky's manager called Daniellet Lombardi,
and she apparently wrote, I'm Sky's manager and I do
not give you permission to write about Sky, nor is
it any of your concern, and later Sky confessed on
TikTok that she was actually pretending to be her manager.

(25:26):
So in the comment section of her video, she wrote, Yep,
that was me. I wrote that with two laughing faces.

Speaker 2 (25:31):
And this is why Sky continues to be popular on
social media.

Speaker 4 (25:35):
I love that she.

Speaker 1 (25:36):
Didn't even go to chat GPT for a response, but
you can tell that she just wrote this herself.

Speaker 3 (25:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (25:40):
Well, the Daily Telegraph actually included some of the typos
in the message as well, which was rooted for.

Speaker 1 (25:45):
You could just imagine they would have been sitting around
in the newsroom and been like, this is not her manager,
this is Sky.

Speaker 2 (25:51):
The fact that they actually included it because normally they say, oh,
you know, Sky Wheatley was contacted and refused to comment
or something like that, but to actually include it obeyed
him as pretty good.

Speaker 1 (26:01):
I love that Sky just thinks that because her manager
says you don't have permission to write about Sky, they're
just going to go, oh, okay, sorry, that's cool, we
just won't print anything.

Speaker 2 (26:10):
What I want to know is her manager actually called
Daniella Lombardier or is that a fake name as well?
Real sure it's a fake name. Well, that's where we're
going to leave things today. But if you do want
extra content from us, we drop a subscriber only episode
every Thursday. Essentially, it's just like this show, but on
a Thursday.

Speaker 3 (26:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (26:26):
Outspoken Plus is just essentially an extension of this show.
There's a lot of extra influencer drama that we discuss
on there each week.
