Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hello, and welcome to Outspoken. It's your dose of the
hottest influencer and pop culture news twice a week. I'm
Kate Torber and coming up on today's show, the beef
between Mikayla Tester and Emily Hembro boils over at the
Outback Steakhouse, Georgia Riches contemplates quitting social media, and Sarah's
Day's injured thumb. For first Molly May has broken the

(00:25):
Internet after strutting her stuff at the Laurel Paris Fashion Week.
Amy I felt like a proud mum when I clicked
on her Instagram story and saw that she actually made
it to the runway this time. Yeah, because she famously
turned down the opportunity just last year to walk in
the same show, and this was featured in her documentary.
Let's have listened to what Molly said at the time. No,
I had a baby recent name what you so recent?

(00:46):
It's not recently at all? Christianity two SAB's unbelievable, But no,
I just I couldn't be like.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
Dress Maybe names chare not for me.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
I couldn't relate more to what Molly said about being
postpartum and when do you stop counting yourself out as
being post part because I'm fifteen months and I'm like,
but still, it just seems like such a big life change.
I'm getting used to it. Yeah. Well she did what
every postpart of Mum normally does and she's gone the chop.
So that was the other thing that shocked people. She
strutted on the runway with this amazing bob. Oh it
looked so good. How many people are going to be

(01:22):
copying that hairstyle. I've got to put it out there.
I think Sophie may copy it. Oh, that's what I
was going to say, Like, when is Sophie booking into
the hairdresser to get that bob? It was this beautiful
like flick at the end, and I thought, is that
her real hair or is that a wig? But her hairstylist,
Jack Luckhurst, has confirmed so he was interviewed and he said,
we cut the bob because we wanted a wow factor

(01:43):
moment and also fancied a change with day to day styling.
This is easy for Molly to manage herself at home,
but also give such a new image for her and
me when creating new looks. I'm gonna call it. I
don't think Molly will keep it for that long. I
think she'll have extensions back in, maybe like a month. Yeah,
and everyone should remember that who's thinking of coppying Moll
because she's got the coin to actually chuck those extensions
back in. I wonder if she was inspired by her

(02:05):
sister Zoe's big change, because she recently went brunette and
looks absolutely incredible.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
I think this is more about marking a big identity change,
particularly because we know that this scene is going to
feature on her doco. I think this will be the
closing scene where they're like, Wow, in the last two
years we've been following Molly around and look at that
she's now up on the stage. She sees herself as
the person that all the audience sees her as, as
this glamorous, successful woman. Well, I bet Lorella wrapped because
Molly is an ambassador for them, and apparently her contract

(02:33):
is worth seven figures, so they must be extremely happy
that this has made worldwide news. Now, before we get
into this story, we want to issue a trigger warning
as we touch on issues surrounding domestic violence.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
I would like to deeply apologize to the Outback Steakhouse
for the disturbance that happened last Thursday night. We had
no idea this was going to happen, and me and
my partner absolutely love your restaurant and we are so
deeply embarrassed by what happens.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
A dispute between Mikayla Tester and Emily Hembro has broken
out at Outback Steakhouse on the Gold Coast. The incident
comes off the back of the influencers publicly feuding online
earlier in the year. Now, the Outback Steakhouse seems like
a pretty good place for the influencers to have beef
pun intended. Before we get into the more serious nature
of this story, though, we need to talk about the

(03:18):
fact that this happened at the Outback Steakhouse. So after
everyone got over the initial shock of the incident, people
were like, what the hell Mikayla Tester and Emily Hembro
doing at the Outback Steakhouse. Mikayla even referenced it in
her video as her favorite restaurant on the Gold Coast. Now,
it isn't your typical influence a hotspot. No, I think
there'd be like a brawl at Tottis or somewhere like that.

(03:40):
I know State Gold Coast doesn't have a Totties, but
the outback Steakhouse. This is like TGI Fridays or something like.
I wouldn't expect either of them to be seen dead there. Yeah,
for full transparency, we actually don't have an outback steakhouse
in Adelaide. Take a shop every time we say that
restaurant's name, So for anyone not familiar with it, it's
an American chain of restaurants that serves American cuisine in
an Australian demed atmosphere. Funnily enough, it was created by

(04:02):
Americans who were inspired by the Crocodile Dundee movie. There's
around a thousand of these restaurants across twenty three countries
and as he said, it kind of gives me TGF
Friday vibes. That's the sort of meals you get there,
like big Steaks. I'm still even more confused finding out
more about this restaurant that they would be there. I know,
it's bizarre. Now, aside from the jokes made about the

(04:23):
location of the incident, the argument was far from funny
because it actually stems from a very serious matter involving
the Hembro's half brother Honra time. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (04:33):
So.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
Honra was arrested in July of twenty twenty four after
assaulting his then girlfriend, Charlotte Chant And while the matter
was before the courts, a number of online creators came
out in support of Charlotte and condemned the Hembros for
allegedly standing by their brother. So. Mikayla Tester was one
of the online creators who accused the Hembros of allegedly

(04:54):
bailing Honrey out of jail. So she went on to
claim that they enabled his behavior.

Speaker 4 (05:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
And after sharing that TikTok, Mikayla claimed that she was
sleeping with a knife and baseball bat next to her
bed as she was scared of Emily Hembro's husband, which
were pretty bold claims to make at the time. Off
the back of those claims, Emily spoke cryptically about how
she had been in discussions with her lawyer. So people
put two and two together and were like, she must

(05:20):
be serving her with defamation papers.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
And at the time, Tammy was forced to publicly distance
herself from Honre, so she released a TikTok video saying
I have no contact with my brother. I haven't seen
my brother I'm not involved at all, in no way,
so I wanted to make that clear now. Following the
online drama. In June this year, honre pleaded guilty to
a number of domestic violence offenses, including common assault, stalking,

(05:44):
and two counts of strangulation. He was sentenced to three
years imprisonment, with parole commencing the day of the sentencing,
as he had been held in custody for almost a
year already. Now fast forward to this week, and McKayla
issued a public apology to the Outback Steakhouse after what
she called a disturbance took place involving her and Emily Hembro.

(06:04):
She took to TikTok to share that she was deeply
embarrassed about what took place. So from her account, it
seems like things escalated to the point where other diners
were getting involved and shouting. I'm surprised as the first
that we've actually heard online about it, considering it had
been five days since the incident took two sous. If
I were Sarah would have whipped my phone out so
quickly to film this argument. But maybe the people there

(06:25):
were just like families who had no idea who these
people bower that were arguing. Mikayla did extend the apology
to the families who were there. Michayla's video has gone
absolutely viral and at the time of recording, has over
four point eight million views. In terms of what happened,
Mikayla said that she was lining up to order her
food with her fiance Max when she was approached by

(06:46):
Emily Hembro and her husband. Mikayla alleges that Emily accused
her of spreading lies about her family and labeled Honrei's
victim Charlotte Chant a liar. Mikayla also claimed Emily threatened
to serve her with legal papers for deaf animation, but
when she called her bluff, Emily apparently backtracked and said
that she didn't have them with her. To be fair,
it's not like you're carrying legal documents around with you.

(07:09):
In terms of the defamation claims, this is what Michayla
said in her video.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
Of course, I only speak truth and only speak things
that are truly coming from my heart. I have not
been sued for defamation by Emily Hanbreu as her husband
even admitted to me that night that they cannot sue
me for defamation, as I have not lied about them.
Everything that I've posted about Honore Thine or Honory Hanreul,
Emily Hambrew's brother is completely factual.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
Things that you can.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Find on the internet, legal documents and court dates.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
Now, Mikayla described the incident as a short screaming match
and tease that Emily may release footage from the incident
as she filmed the encounter. When I heard this part
of the story, I was like, Okay, so Michayla wants
to get on the front foot. This footage must not
be very flattering of her. Release the vision. I release
the vision. Yeah, I mean, Mikayla did admit that she

(07:58):
got quite agitated and was yelling back at Emily, well,
it's unfair sometimes, like if you're the person that's filming,
of course you're going to be a bit more subdued
because you know that this is going to be recorded.

Speaker 4 (08:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
And also Emily was the one that approached Mackayla and
kind of startled her. Mikayla mentioned that she really wasn't
in a good headspace at the time because one, she said,
she found out some really horrible news and two she
said she had just got her face lasered. I've had
my face lasered before, and there's no way I would
want to be filmed or and also yelled at this
is giving me awful flashbacks to when we saw Sarah's
Day's husband Kurt Tills at a restaurant. This is, of course,

(08:32):
after we've spoken about them on the podcast for years
and also reading between the lines, he threatened to sue
us for Yeah, the deep dive that we put out.
Got about that bit. To be fair though, this is
how I thought it would play out, but it didn't.
No one actually said anything, and everyone just well, that's
the funny thing about social media. Like Michayla Tester and Emily,
they're both very confident online, like Michayla's put all of
these videos out having a go at the Hambros. But

(08:54):
then when you actually see the person in real life,
it's very different. It's very awkward scene someone and actually
confronting them in person. Well, following the encounter, Mikayla labeled
Emily as rude, mean, and horrible, and she went on
to accuse Emily of enabling her younger brother and suggested
Emily was trying to believe in her brother's innocence as
a way to cope with the fact that he was

(09:14):
quote a horrible person. Now. After this outburst, Michayla said,
Emily returned to the table with her family, but her
husband stayed and spoke to her and Max. I was
pretty surprised because it was at this point that Mikayla
did a complete backflip about Emily's husband, and she admitted
that he was really kind, and Emily's husband explained to
Mikayla that Emily was just trying to protect her family,

(09:36):
and he revealed that she would do anything for them.
Mikayla also claimed Emily's husband confirmed that there were no
legal papers waiting for her, and she said she ended
up apologizing to him about what she originally said online
about him and shook his hand, and she confirmed that
he was the only one to condemn Honrei's actions. It
was pretty apparent that she wanted to put on the

(09:58):
record to the public that there was no beef between
them anymore. I found that really interesting, and I wondered
if that was an agreement that they came to that
she had to publicly apologize to human order to not
get served by the legal document because wild Mikayla is
adamant that she hasn't said anything defamatory around Honrei's case,
and she has got the truth defense with the sentencing

(10:20):
documents and all of the receipts that Charlotte Chant has
provided online. In terms of what she alleged about Emily
Hembro's husband, I do think the Hembros had a leg
to stand on that it was defamatory. My other thought
perhaps is Emily said, look, we'll release this vision. That
doesn't make you look too good unless you actually go
on the record and take away those comments that you said. Well,

(10:42):
off the back of Mikayla's TikTok, Charlotte Chant shared her
own video hitting back at the alleged claims that she
was a liar. So she explained she received a FaceTime
call from Michayla about the incident, which left her shaking
and angry. She went on to show further receipts, which
included the sentencing papers and disturbing text messages that she
alleged was sent to her from honre Charlotte made a

(11:04):
point not to name Emily because she said she didn't
want to be sued now at the time of recording,
Emily Hembrow is yet to release an official statement or
share the footage from the incident, but she has been
defending herself in the comments section of random TikTok accounts.
So a TikToker called Kayla Bruno's comment section blew up
after she released a video mocking the location of the fight.

Speaker 3 (11:27):
Just working up from a what year is it? Noppen,
I've just seen that Mikayla Tester is punching on what
the Hambrow sisters. Yet again, that's not the part of
concerned about it. I quite like the drama. What I
need to know is what the fuck is out back steakhouse?
Are we talking like a bloomin onion American chain outback steakhouse?
What the fuck is Emily Hembro doing there to begin with?
I'm telling you, the more I hear about the Gold Coast,

(11:48):
the more I fucking don't understand it now.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
Someone commented under the video send the papers, to which
Emily responded, she left the country when I had them ready,
and now she has apologized about my husband to myself
and him and online publicly, so there is no need.
That's what I was mad about. Nothing else. Mackaylea then
joined the comments section and claimed that Emily had blocked
her so she can't see her comments. She went on

(12:12):
to say that she never apologized about making up lies
about Emily's husband. She said she apologized to Emily's husband
for saying that she was scared of him online and
that he seemed like a pretty reasonable guy in person.
She went on to say, I even clarified that I
thought her brother was x y Z and that I'm
not apologizing for anything else, she said. She then walked

(12:33):
out of the restaurant and told her to serve her
the papers. She went on to write, let's hope she
posts the video in full, and I'll go and get
CCTV footage as well. Is it terrible that I really
hope that happens? Like I would love to see this vision.
I think the Outback Steakhouse needs to jump on this
publicity and release the CCTV vision. I mean, they're already
getting a lot of free publicity. Why at milk it

(12:54):
for what it's worth? Okay, you haven't had a steak
for what? I can't like what thirty years? I can't
remember ever eating a Would you have a steak in
order to get this vision. Yes, I would, And do
you know what I say that? And I've actually lost
this bet before because I've been vegetarian since I was
fourteen and back when I was working with another job,
I ended up having to eat a big mac after
losing a bet and I did it, so I will

(13:15):
do it. Yeah. So if you've got that vision out
Back Steakhouse and you want Kate to eat a steak
in order to get it, contact us. Hit us up
at Outspoken Underscore, the Underscore podcast. You can find me
with the Gold Coast to to eat it. It'll be
nice because we don't have one here in Adelaide now.
In a subsequent video, Caylet Bruno posted about the incident,
Emily replied to another comment that accused her of calling

(13:37):
Charlotte a liar. She wrote, she also said in person
with many witnesses that Charlotte said she had met my husband,
which is false and a lie. That's what I was
referring to. Obviously, not my brother. We all know he
was guilty and went to jail. That's common sense. And
like I've said numerous times, I don't condone or support violence.
I also don't condone or support liars and online bullies.
There's a pattern with her content. It's pretty clear. It's

(13:59):
going to be interesting to see how this plays out
online because we all know Mikayla Tester is definitely not
one to back down. Yeah, I am very interested to
see if Emily Hembro puts out anything officially. I think
she won't. I think she'll be hoping that this blows over.

Speaker 5 (14:13):
I have been experiencing the worst logging fear, but I
am terrified to put up my camera most days. Terrified
sounds dramatic, and honestly it is, but it's how I feel.

Speaker 1 (14:24):
Gold Coast YouTuber Georgia Richards has revealed she contemplated deleting
her social media accounts and never going on the internet
again after struggling to cope with judgment online amy. Before
we get into it, can you give us some background
on who Georgia Richards is.

Speaker 4 (14:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (14:39):
Well, I mentioned last week that Georgia was one of
my favorite comfort YouTubers. So she's been sharing content on
YouTube for the last seven years. She's twenty seven years old.
She's got around one hundred thousand followers on YouTube and
seventy one thousand on Instagram. When I first came across
Georgia's channel, I was hooked because she was just a
regular girl sharing her life. She worked at a coffee shop.
She shared about catching up with friends. There was also

(15:01):
the interesting element of her being involved in the church,
so she used to start her days doing Bible versus.
And now I feel like I've been along the whole
journey with her because over the last couple of years,
she opened up about the fact that she is gay,
and she actually left the church. Was such a big
step for her. Yeah, and she's been really open sharing
her sexuality online. She's spoken about going on many dates

(15:22):
and also about her first girlfriend, which she got around
the end of last year. It was really brave of her,
considering what a taboo topic it would have been for her. Yeah,
and at the start of this year she got really
candid about her breakup. So this was with her first
ever girlfriend. And I really loved the honesty from Georgia.
I was glued and I really enjoyed vicariously living through

(15:43):
well not just the breakup, but her whole dating experiences. Well,
I think there's something about a first breakup that majority
of people can relate to and you just I just
felt so sorry for her watching it, because you know
that the only thing that's going to heal that type
of pain is time.

Speaker 4 (15:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (15:57):
And the thing with Georgia is she never actually shared
the full identity of her girlfriend. It was always like
the back of her head in vlogs or her arm,
like them hand in hand, but she never nsid her name. Yeah.
And so this week, Georgia revealed in a YouTube video
that she was really struggling with the judgment of others.
And she said that at the start of this year,
she shared so much about her life and now she

(16:19):
was having a lot of intrusive thoughts about shit. I
actually need to take my life offline because I can't
deal with people's judgment. Let's have a listen to what
she said.

Speaker 5 (16:28):
My favorite part of being on the internet is just
feeling connected to people. However, in order to feel connected
to people, you have to be vulnerable, and that just
opens you up to so much hate and the wrong
kind of people seeing your stuff, and people not understanding you,
and people perceiving you in a way that is either
not accurate or just like people perceiving me in general,
just makes me extreme uncomfortable. I've talked about it in

(16:48):
therapy so much like in relationships, in deep friendships, but
I've just felt so like almost frozen in fear. I
just am so scared to do, say, post literally anything,
which I know, you know, anyone know. I know, it's
so silly. I've been trying so hard to shake it
because I work one of the coolest jobs ever. But
I am so lucky and I can Mary blessings every

(17:08):
single day because of all of the incredible opportunities and
freedom that this platform has given me. But oh my god,
the Internet has been so scary to me.

Speaker 1 (17:17):
God, I felt so sorry for Georgia when I watch this,
because I think when you do put yourself out there online,
whether it's as an influence or a podcaster, you do
get a little bit of a oversharing hangover. You're like,
oh my god, I've put that out on the Internet forever,
especially when people are being assholes and going on riding
total life. I could judge shape with the rise and
popularity of sites like this. We've spoken about it before

(17:38):
on the podcast, but there are a number of threads
which exist about Georgia on Reddit and I had a
look at them and they were just mean. And I
think what you realize as you grow up a bit
is that these haters who are in the threads, there's
only a handful of them, Like Georgia would look at
those and go, oh my god, there's everyone hundreds and
hundreds of people who hate me. Actually it's probably just

(17:58):
three very sad people who have the time to comment
on the Reddit thread. Like there'd be so many people
who love watching her life, including me, and it's sad
that that's spoiling it for so many people because she's
not sharing as much as she would. Unfortunately, it really
is part and parcel of the influencer space, and I
think most content creators go through it where they discover

(18:19):
these threads about themselves, and unfortunately, the only way you
can really push forward is just to not look at
the stuff. Yeah, as hard as that is. Yeah, And
I think for a number of creators this kind of
hate it often kicks off once you reach around one
hundred thousand subscribers, and that's what's happened to Georgia. She's
got one hundred thousand subscribers now on YouTube, her following

(18:39):
is just increasing, and sadly it is just part and parcel.
But let's have a listen to what Georgia said, because
she spoke very honestly about how she feels about these haters.

Speaker 5 (18:49):
It honestly annoys me because the mean, scary people of
the Internet who are actually just like really sad, lonely
people behind a screen, they're the ones that are ruining
it for the good people and like for me, And
I'm like, you, you shouldn't hold that power. You shouldn't
like get to have that in you because like A,
I literally don't know you, and b you're just awful people.

Speaker 1 (19:07):
I just really hope Georgia continues to share her life
online because while there may be a small corner of
the Internet that are being judgmental, I think that she
would have helped so many other people that have been
going through similar things in their life. Yeah, and she
noted in this YouTube video that that was one of
the main reasons why she started to share her life
on YouTube was because she didn't see people like herself

(19:28):
being represented. And it's a real shame that this is
potentially stopping other people being able to watch someone like Georgia,
like someone at home who might not feel represented can
actually align themselves with her, but hopefully she will continue
her content because I'm living for it at the moment. Yeah,
you always complained to me, like, can you believe she
hasn't released itv loog for two weeks? Now, I'm like,
I didn't actually know. Now I see why, because of

(19:50):
the fucking nasty people.

Speaker 6 (19:52):
I just told the ligaments in my thumb and I
meant to be launching my biggest sixty day workout challenge
in ten days.

Speaker 1 (19:58):
Sarah's day has been thrown an obstacle. Just ten days
out from the launch of her fitness challenge. On Monday,
the fitness influencer announced she's torn the ligaments in her
thumb and will have to wear a splint for six
to nine weeks now. Sarah shared the story in a
pretty dramatic fashion on her Instagram. So on Monday morning,
she revealed to her one million followers that she was
waiting to get an X ray on her thumb. So

(20:20):
at seven that morning, she hyper extended her thumb all
the way back, causing suspected ligament damage. She said, as
soon as she heard the sickening crunch and felt the pain,
she knew there was something wrong. She was really coy though,
about how she actually hyper extended her thumb. She said
it was really embarrassing and teased that she would tell
the story later. As soon as he heard that, I
was like, I must know, like what were you doing?

(20:41):
I mean, she's got a baby, so I was like,
did it have something to do with him? I don't know, Like,
how could you possibly do it?

Speaker 3 (20:48):
Well?

Speaker 1 (20:48):
Thinking back to when you dissiccated your knee, that was
kind of an embarrassing injury because you were leaning to
get wrapping paper from behind a TV. It wasn't some
kind of dramatic injury. So maybe it's something like that.
Could it be sex injury? Oh god, hope not doing
this with their foul matter, be talking about how she's

(21:09):
had these pregnancy scares, So god, I don't think. I
think she wouldn't tell that story. That's what I mean. Like,
imagine doing it in some really embarrassing way and you're like,
how do you hid mixed on your thumb? Why are
we kept to cancel the challenge? Anyway? Moving on? In
a true feat for our public health system, Sarah said
that she managed to see the GP, get an X ray,

(21:31):
and meet with a hand specialist, all within an hour.
And a half. What the hell is it even possible?
What's a hand specialist? Well, the hand specialist is the
one that said, look, I have to wait for the
swelling to go down to tell the severity of the damage.
But according to Sarah, the doctor was positive that she
has done ligament damage. They're not sure. I had an
incident with a tennis ball machine. So I was embarrassing. Well,

(21:55):
it was kind of embarrassing because I was having a
hit with my tennis ball machine named Maurice, and I
was vollying at the net and I saw this tennis
ball flying towards my head and I stupidly put my
hand out to catch it. But it was on like
the hardest level, like it was anyway, I was convinced
I'd broken my finger and done ligament damage. So was
the doctor. Turns out, nah, well, I broke my finger.

(22:19):
If this was back in two thousand, it was the
night of the Olympic Games in Sydney. I have no
recollection of this. We're playing netball, ok, well, bounced into
my finger, I broke it. Still carried on. We went
to McDonald's and I got a cup of ice and
put it in there. Did you go to a hand
specialist the next day. No, Mom and Dad did not
pay me for me to got a hand specialist anyway.

(22:39):
Jokes aside, I'm pretty shocked, considering the strain that is
on our healthcare system in Australia, that she managed to
get all those appointments done between eight thirty and eleven
as It's incredible. Yeah, I mean, most specialists would have
a massive waiting list. But I do feel really sorry
for her because apparently she hasn't even been able to
change her son's nappies. Well, I mean I feel sorry

(23:00):
for her, but it's a good way to get out
of it as well. I mean it does sound very painful,
but I couldn't help but laugh at how much she
was actually using her injured hand in the video. Yes,
so for those who haven't seen it, it's literally like
when someone gets engaged and suddenly they want to do
everything with their left hand to show off the ring.
Because she's got this hot pink splint on her hand,
and she's known already for being really emotive with her hands.

(23:21):
So when she was speaking on camera, like she was
literally over exaggerating everything with the bandage hand. It was
so distracting. I did like the color pink though of
the bandage. I thought, has she got shares in this
plaster company or something like? Is this the new Hiro?
I actually someone did ask her where she got the
bandage from, like from the hand specialists? Oh okay. Now,
off the back of Sarah's update, a lot of her

(23:43):
followers question why she got an X ray rather than
an MRI, and she explained on her Instagram story that
she couldn't get an appointment for an MRI for another
two weeks, so the x ray was to rule out
a break. So Sarah conceded though that the hand specialist
wasn't too concerned about the MRI as she will be
able to tell what's going on with at once this
swelling subsides. Now, as for Sarah's mindset, she said she's

(24:06):
just focusing on keeping her mindset positive and getting creative
with this injury and juggling three kids, including a baby
who wants mommy to hold in twenty four to seven,
that would be so difficult and Kurts had to take
time off to stay home with the kids. Well, fair enough,
I mean yeah, I mean yeah, whatever, But I was
only able to use one hand and look after my son. God.
All I could think about, though, when I saw Sarah's

(24:28):
update is what's going to happen to the five to
sixty Challenge? Because on Monday, so If and I were
speaking about how we think Sarah is already cutting it
fine by announcing a launch date when she hasn't actually
completed all of the work for the project. So it
turns out she's yet to film the workout videos that
go with the challenge, and Sarah was quick to confirm
on Monday that the challenge would still be launching on

(24:48):
the ninth of October, but she would just have to
moderate her workouts. Here's some of what she's said.

Speaker 6 (24:53):
Hand specialist has told me I can get back into
training in five days. She it's going to take five
days off to like not swell it up. I'm definitely
going to have to get creative, but like this, I'm
not going to let this derail me. I'm going to
show you guys that even if you have a torn ligament,
you can still commit to the sixty days. I guess
I just won't be doing any dumbbell work on my
left hand or like planks on my hands. I just

(25:14):
need to get a little bit creative.

Speaker 1 (25:16):
Not to laugh because it's horrible that she has hurt
her thumb. But it cracked me up because a lot
of people have been saying that every time Sarah tells
her community that they're going to do one of the
workout Guys together or do a fitness challenge together, that
she always comes up with an excuse not to do it.
So I remember before she announced her pregnancy with Malachi,
she was like, Oh, yeah, we're all going to do

(25:37):
the fitness challenge together, and then she's like, oh, I
can't because I'm pregnant. Well, it'll be interesting to see
if she does the full sixty days. Yeah. Well, she
ended up sharing another vlog talking about her thumb, and
she started the video by saying, Hi, it's your favorite
damaged ligament girl. And it took me back to I
think it was like twenty seventeen when she had a
staff infecttionous. She kept calling herself staff girl, like she

(25:58):
really manages to milk the content out of these types
of injuries. I'm living for the content. It's actually hilarious. Well,
in the vlog, she said that she was choosing to
adapt and not quit, so she said the five sixty
program is going ahead in nine days and nothing will
stop me, not even torn ligaments. And it turns out
that the day after she hurt her thumb, she had

(26:20):
a filming day locked in for the fitness challenge, so
she went and got her hair washed and blow dried
because she couldn't actually do it herself. It's unclear if
the videos are just going to be pieces to cameras
or she's going to do the workout, and that would
be against her doctor's advice because they said, well, don't
work out for five days. Always says like someone's got
this voodoo doll of her just putting the pins in

(26:41):
her thumb or something. Yeah, you will not get your
challenge out. It was interesting because someone in the comments
of this vlog wrote, girl, you think a hand injury
is tough, try having a whole body that refuses to
cooperate haha, and then Sarah responded, I didn't realize was
a competition, and then the person required it so awkward.
They're like, not a competition at all. I was just
joking about my own struggles. I have LGMD, a muscle

(27:03):
wasting disease, and can relate to the nothing will stop me.
Now didn't requite further. I was, oh, oh, that poor person. No,
I was like, God, you can't go at people in
your comments without knowing the full story. To be fair,
there is that whole what is it? Is it called
like the blueberry bagel theory or whatever it is where
it's like you could say I love blueberry bagels and
everyone's like, what about the plane ones? Yeah, well, I

(27:23):
mean that's clearly not what this person was doing. But
I suppose you don't know. Tone on social media is triggered.
Now I've got a prediction for you. I think Sarah
is going to go to an acupuncturist and naturally cure
her ligament injury hesself.

Speaker 4 (27:35):
No, it sort of made me feel not uncomfortable. I
wasn't feeling sorry for myself, but I was like why.

Speaker 1 (27:42):
Matt Sakowski has revealed he felt emotional after attending his
friend's wedding over the weekend. Now, this was the first
wedding he attended since the breakdown of his marriage to
Tammy Hembro. Let's have a listen to what Matt said.

Speaker 4 (27:56):
It was a bit strange to watch, like when they
were doing their it was so cute and so heartfelt.
It sort of made me feel not uncomfortable. I wasn't
feeling sorry for myself, but I was like why, Like
why was mine? You know what I'm trying to say?

Speaker 1 (28:11):
Not forever?

Speaker 2 (28:12):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (28:12):
Why was mine? Not forever? Because in that moment, I
remember when I was saying them, I was like, this
is forever, and I was like, why did it? Why
was it not real? Why was it? You know what
I'm trying to say.

Speaker 1 (28:21):
Yeah. Matt went on to say he couldn't quite articulate
how he felt and needed time to talk to his
therapist to help identify the exact emotion. It's crazy to
think it's nearly coming up to their first wedding anniversary.
That's in November, so only like four or five weeks away.
That is actually crazy because it feels like just yesterday
that the Daily Mail's drone was flying overhead Tammy was

(28:44):
in a pink dress. Like that's crazy. What do you
do on your first wedding anniversary when you're divorced? Go
out and have a drinker? Yeah? I mean it would
be really triggering for Matt to attend a wedding and
also I mean not to make himself the main character.
But you'd almost feel like people would be looking like
side buying you howsy reacting. Yeah, And he said the
most emotional part for him was seeing them walk down

(29:05):
the aisle because they did a dip like he did
with Tammy. And he also said it was hard to watch,
but it didn't make him feel upset or angry. He said,
it just felt weird. It's interesting because his co host
annamcavoy asked him if he thinks he'll ever get married again,
and he said he was hopeful he would, but he'd
have to be really certain about the person. Well, that's
why we're going to leave things today. If you do
