Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hello, and welcome to Outspoken. It's your dose of the
hottest influencer and pop culture news twice a week. I'm
Kate Torber and coming up on today's show, Steph Claire
Smith announces her husband's phaseectomy. Britt Hockley confirms she's moving
to Italy Live, Kelly is back with her ex following
Rheesce Hawkin's Fling, Sarah's Day, Slam's Japanese dining experience, and
(00:25):
for Darn defends her annual birthday astravaganza. But first, Sammy
Robinson has unveiled a new collaboration with a cocktail brand
called Quips. The video, which saw Sammy miming to Celine
Dion's All Coming Back to Me, helped launch a new
limited edition flavor. This clip went absolutely viral amy, but
it looked really familiar. Yes, So Quips has been really clever.
(00:47):
They've actually played off a viral moment that Sammy had
in twenty twenty one on TikTok where she mimed to
this very song and her video got over four million views,
and considering this was essentially a dupe of that video,
it's had its own success. It's had over half a
million views. I mean, you can see why this went
off on social media. The production level was a lot
higher than the original video that she sheared on TikTok,
(01:09):
and she looked absolutely stunning in it. The funny thing is, though,
a lot of social media experts say, in order for
a piece of content to go viral on TikTok or Instagram,
that you have to shoot it in a vertical video.
It should be shot on your phone and not on
a professional camera. This piece of content was beautifully shot.
It has defied all of the social media experts. I
wonder if we're going to see it popping up on
our TV screens, particularly because of the production level and
(01:32):
the fact that it was actually shot as a tvc
we might The interesting thing about this brand is that
Sammy revealed on TikTok that she's such a big fan
that she actually wanted to own the company. Let's have
a listen to what she said. I wanted to acquire
their business and they said off, and I said, what
an ideal flavor, And so hence Sammy Evan sometimes Quits
(01:53):
was born. I wonder if she got inspiration to ask
that question off the back of Sarah's day being a
shareholder and hirer. You've also got Dick Clinton, who now
owns shares in boof Hair. I can see why she
would want a piece of the pie, considering she has
had so much success with her own business one Mile
as well. She is someone you wants the face of
your brand. Well, she might even be taking inspiration from
(02:13):
influencer Alex Earl because she has invested in the company Poppy,
which was then acquired for some huge amount of money.
Surely Sammy is at least a small investor in this business. Yeah,
surely they gave her a couple of shares. I mean,
I think that this is going to be common practice
we see moving forward with big influences and getting them
across the line to work with brands. The funny thing
is that this drink is a cocktail in a pouch,
(02:35):
And so Sammy was sharing all these videos of her
and her friends drinking it, and it looked like they
were sucking down one of those yogurts in a pouch.
And I just thought, Sammy's so classy, and she goes
to all of these cool events, and I can't imagine
people drinking cocktails like that. I can imagine more people
taking this cocktail onto a bus or something and trying
to Yeah, well, let's be honest. Her target audience are
(02:56):
probably gen zettas, so you know, while Sammy might not
be slurping back the cocktails from a pouch, her followers
probably are. So the thing. She made it look cool,
so I was even sold on. I don't even really
like cocktails, but I was like, I could drink that.
That looks delicious. The branding looked good.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
Let's do a birthday hall of everything I bought on
the annual for Daan Birthdays to abaganza.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
Popular TikToker for Dan has been forced to defend her
annual birthday hall, Kate, can you tell us more so?
For those not familiar with for Dan, she is a
forty seven year old divorce lawyer with over one point
three million followers on TikTok, and she is best known
for sharing the platters that she eats on a Saturday. Now,
for the last couple of years, for Dan has taken
(03:38):
her followers along for the ride of what she calls
the annual for Dan birthday Extravaganza. Now, the day consists
of for Dan booking herself a hotel, taking herself out
for lunch and then having this massive shopping spree. Wait,
is this all by herself? Yes, so she is married
and she has twins, but this is a day just
for her. So she stays in the hotel by herself
(04:00):
like it is her just running a muk, enjoying it,
and she films it for all of her followers to enjoy. See.
If I had heard this story before having a child,
I would have been like, what the hell, Like why
would you want to do that? And now this actually
sounds like great idea. Well, I mean I would like
to go with you, though considering that we share a birthday.
Oh well yeah, but like going childless and husbandless. That
sounds And this isn't amy your typical spending spree. It
(04:24):
is a designer shopping spree. So this year Fadan reportedly
spent almost twenty thousand dollars on herself. Now this was
actually only a guestimate from a follower. Other years she
has done this full cost breakdown. However, this year she
didn't mention any of the prices, and she threw her
followers off because it took her a week to actually
(04:45):
upload the hole. After she filmed herself at the shops,
and this led to a speculation that she had returned
the items she filmed herself purchasing another person that accused
her of not staying overnight in the hotel that she booked. Well,
so people are like at first, oh my god, this
rich bitch, and then they're like, wait a sec, you
faked this. Yeah, exactly, that's exactly what happened. Do you
(05:06):
think there's any truth to it? No, So, for Dan
has publicly addressed the accusations on her TikTok, and she
came with receipts. So she ended up showing a booking
confirmation for the hotel she stayed at, but the follower
was actually correct. So Fadana explained that she didn't end
up staying the night at the hotel because she needed
to be in court the following day. And she also
said she just wanted to get home and get things
(05:27):
organized for her twins because it was a Sunday night,
and you know she likes to be organized for Monday morning.
At what time? I mean normally you check into a hotel,
what you can check in about two pm? So she
was there for what a few hours? Well, she kept
going on how tired she was, so. I mean I
can kind of get that, you know, when you've like
had a big day at the shops and then all
you kind of want to do is maybe just go
(05:48):
home and bed out. Like she's probably thinking of the
traffic's going to be horrendous the next day. Let's just
call it a day rich people problems, just flat out
from shopping doing a twenty thousand dollars the shopping spree.
To be fair, she I wasent to a lot of stores.
She would have done a lot of walking around, and
then also just having to converse with the people in
the designer stores. Like not that I've actually ever bought
anything from there, but I can imagine it would be
(06:09):
quite tiring. You're having to sort of keep up this front. Yeah,
well that was part of the reason why she put
this haul up so late, because she was just so tired. Kay,
Can you share with us what she actually bought? All right?
So she bought herself Fendy shoes and a Fendy bag.
Why I sell sunglasses, Christian do your shoes, a Valentino
(06:30):
necklace bag, sunglasses and shoes, a Birberry bag and hat,
and a Louivton reversible bag. I'm kind of surprised that
this all just cost twenty thousand, that that sounds like
it would be a lot more. To be honest, I
actually didn't really like a lot of the stuff, so
I wonder if it was you know, they're big brands,
but kind of the cheaper stuff. Maybe I heard Stephen
(06:52):
Bartlett from Diary of CEO. He was talking about how
when he first made a lot of money, he wanted
to wear all this branded stuff, but now he realizes
being rich person, that it's really tacky, like having the
big designer brands just splashed all over you.
Speaker 2 (07:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
I don't want to throw shade at for darn, because
I mean, you do you on your birthday and buy
whatever you want. But the video is documenting her actually
selecting the items. It kind of just seemed like there
wasn't much thought put into it, and it was kind
of like, oh, well, this shop is fancy, so I
have to kind of buy a few things. It's pretty
funny because someone ended up asking her what her husband
bought her, and she said that she'll have to do
(07:26):
a separate video on them. But it's like how much
stuff can you get? Like what's your husband meant? To
buy you if you're already doing your own spendspree You've
bought sunglasses, a bag, a hat, like what else is left?
Really there's no perfume. Maybe he got a perfume.
Speaker 3 (07:41):
People were asking questions and I think it's because we're
actually annoying.
Speaker 1 (07:44):
About how you got fired. Britt Hockley has confirmed she's
moving to Italy to be with her husband Ben, As
we discussed on Tuesday show, the Life on Cut host
hinted a move was imminent in a Spotify rap thank
you video sent to Life on Cut's top fans. So
Brit announced what we'd all been thinking in the most
recent episode of Life Uncut, and she opened up about
(08:04):
how hard the last six months has been for her
and Ben. After they got married in Bali. She said
they wanted to be together more than ever, especially after
tying the knot, but it's actually been the longest that
they've ever been apart. I really don't know how they've
done long distance for six months following the wedding. Nine
would have been super tough, considering you would have had
this massive build up and it would have felt so
(08:25):
special and then suddenly you were just back to doing
long distance again, it would have been really weird. I mean,
Britt was saying that she's looking forward to all of
the mundane things with Ben. She said, I just want
to watch TV with him. I want to go on
a walk, And she said that sounds really boring, but
they're things that they haven't actually been able to do
together since they've been married, or even since they've been
in a relationship. Yeah, particularly because when they are together,
(08:45):
it seems like they're trying to make the most of it.
So they're on this really beautiful holiday together, they're not
doing normal things. Yeah. During this episode, Laura and Britt
also address rumors that they were fired from their radio show,
The three pm Pickup, after joking about it on their
previous episode. Let's have a listen to what they said.
Speaker 3 (09:03):
We aren't doing the Pickup. I know we made jokes
about it, but we aren't doing the radio show next year.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
Yeah, we did say we got fired a lot, which
we kind of did. We sort of just like we
got fired.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
And sure we didn't really give any explanation, but yeah.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
So Laura went on to explain that in order to
keep their job at the three pm pick Up, brit
would have had to have stayed in Australia and Laura
wouldn't have been able to take maternity leave until mid
next year. Laura reiterated that their decision to stop doing
the three pm pickup wasn't just due to BRIT's situation,
but because Laura wanted to be more flexible with her girls.
Let's have a listen to what she said. The thing we.
Speaker 3 (09:38):
Don't have control over is the radio side of things,
and the radio side of things is the most restrictive
I know. I kept saying I'm going to have more
maltonally this year. The one thing I can take more
maternally from is from radio, and now that's a possibility.
So I am able to kind of like scale down
and work until at least midyear next year. Yeah. So
it's worked for both of us. I don't want you
to think that it's just been this deceas that had
(10:00):
to be made because you want to go overseas bricks. Yeah. Yeah,
it worked really well for both of us, and where
we're at in life, this makes.
Speaker 1 (10:06):
A lot of sense because at the moment Laura is
really burning the candle from both ends. She's got her
jewelry brand Tony May the doing the podcast the radio show.
I mean, she's just had a baby. Her plate is
very full. Yeah, And with podcasting, even though most podcasts
release on a set day, there's a bit of flexibility
around it, like if you can't get it done at
a certain time, you can maybe push the recording out
(10:28):
to later in the day. But with the radio it
was like three pm on the dot, five days a week, Like,
there's no flexibility with that. So it makes a lot
of sense. That being said, Britt dropped some interesting info
that she said she never had any intention of sharing
on the podcast, but because we're getting to the end
of the year, she didn't have many other interesting stories.
And I'm so pleased she shared this because I actually
(10:50):
laughed out loud. So she said that she was recently
doing some influencer work with Quantus, and instead of receiving
a cash payment, she got frequent Flyer points instead. I
wonder if Britt wouldn't have accepted this type of contra
if she wasn't in a long distance relationship. It seems
like they're like, oh, do you know who we might
get across the line without paying Britt Hockley, just just
send her some points. Yeah, especially if it means you
(11:12):
can bump your flight up to business class. I mean
she said she was going to be flying back to
Australia a lot from Italy. That's pretty funny because the
team from Quantus asked for BRIT's frequent flyer number and
she said that she keeps this in the note section
of her phone. Now, the next day, the team from
Quantus rung and asked if she was sure she had
the right number. So she went back, cross referenced her
(11:34):
notes and was like, yeah, yeah, that's my number again.
The next day she received a call from the people
at Quantas and they said, look, we just want you
to double check because it's actually not coming up with
your name, it's coming up with a different name. Is
this your frequent flyer number? So she crossed referenced to
it and said, well, yeah it is, but what name
is it coming up with? It was Jordan Thompson, her
(11:55):
ex tennis player boyfriend's frequent flyer number. Oh shit. So
did she get the point if it's back, like, can
you transfer them back over? Well, that was the first
question that Kisha and Laura asked, and she's like, nah,
you can't. So for four years Britt has been racking
up frequent Flyer points flying back and forth to see
her now husband Ben, and they've all been going to Jordan.
What do you do in that instance? Do you say, oh, well,
(12:16):
you owe me a couple of flights? Now. It's sort
of embarrassing though, because it was Britt's mistake. So she
said that when she started dating Jordan, she didn't have
a frequent flyer number, so he was booking a lot
of her flights and the points were going to her,
and so she mistakenly wrote down his number as her own.
I wonder if he noticed ages ago that he was
getting all her points and just didn't say anything. I
(12:37):
don't think he's aware of it, but he will be
aware of it now. After this segment, let's have a
listen to BRIT's reaction to finding out.
Speaker 3 (12:44):
I'm not a guide.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
I feel sick, saying I nearly died and I just thought,
oh my god.
Speaker 1 (12:49):
I wrote back on Shreway, I said this is a
sick joke.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
They were like, this is not a joke, and I said,
do not send him any more points.
Speaker 1 (12:56):
Sparah thought, for Ben, her now husband, I mean they're
talking about her ex boyfriend, She said that she was
most scared to tell Ben and she was going to
keep it a secret, but she said she's terrible at
secret keeping, so ended up telling him and he just
laughed and was like, well, accidents happened, and she's like,
what aren't you angry? And he's like, well, it's not
ideal that all the points have been going to him.
Ben had bumped her up to business class a few
(13:17):
times as well, so all of those points had gone
to Jordan. I'd be absolutely spewing, because I'm the type
of person that loves any sort of voucher or loyalty
card like my If I don't bring my zombrero's layd
to a color with me, I am absolutely cart. Did
you imagine your ex getting your free burritos? That would
set you off? Oh? Fuck, I'd hate that. Let's get
(13:38):
into our Friday Influencer Dump and to kick things off live,
Kelly has confirmed a breakup and relationship revival all in
one Instagram dump. So last week we discussed the mounting
speculation that the fitness influencer was back with her ex.
Jamarat hugil Hagen. The AFL footballer, had been dropping hints
of a reunion on his Instagram account, and this caused
(13:59):
a lot of confusion as Live had hard launched a
long distance relationship with Tammy Hembro's ex fiance and baby
daddy Reese Hawkins in August. It just goes to show
a lot can change in a few months, amy, particularly
when your ex moves to your hometown. Because Jamara used
to play for the Western Bulldogs in Melbourne, but he
recently accepted a trade to the Suns, who were based
(14:21):
on the Gold Coast, which is where Live just so
happens to live, and it seems like the chemistry was
too much to deny in close proximity, so Jamara made
an Instagram official posting a selfie with Live in their
bathers at a hotel Paul. He shared the photo on
his Instagram story and tagged Live in it now. Liv
repaid the favor and she featured Jamara in her photo
(14:43):
dump and she captured the post a lot to be
grateful for. She also included a quote within the photo
dump that said, never regret the love you give. It
will return to you in another time, in another person,
in another circumstance, but it always comes back to you.
I wonder how Reese Hawkins feels this. I mean, I'm
guessing Live dumped his ass after he started popping up
(15:03):
in all of those tabby herbro tiktoks. Yeah, I mean
it seemed like Tammy was definitely baiting him, but he
also was a willing participant in them. I mean it
would have pissed me off. I can see why Liv
was like what the fuck? I wonder though, if Liv
was trying to make Jamara jealous, because it kind of
seems like the jealous type, because he ended up commenting
under Liv's most recent Instagram dump about a particular video
(15:27):
that was shared within it. So in a video, she's
doing like hip thrust at the gym and he goes,
let's relax on the hip thrust, laugh out loud. So
I don't think he was that please her followers were
also seeing it. I don't really like that. That's a
bit no. I thought that was a little bit of
a red flag. I would also love to know how
these two got back together, considering Liv has thrown a
(15:47):
lot of shade at Jamara on social media, So just
to refresh listeners memories, they broke up in mid twenty
twenty four after dating for around two years, and in
July this year, Live shared a video which appeared to
be aimed at him so over the top of a
video she filmed of herself. She wrote the caption when
you kept silent to protect them, but find out what
(16:08):
they were actually doing when you weren't there. Their projections
are their actions underneath this video. Liv also replied in
the comments we love a narcissist and intuition was right
all a lot. It's pretty awkward. This is why you
caught this sort of shit on social media. If you're
going to take them back. Yeah, Well it gets worse
because a month later, after Hard launching her relationship with
(16:29):
Rheese Hawkins, she shared this collection of very cute clips
of the couple and caption the TikTok thank God when
my family and friends ask how I'm being treated, I
don't have to lie anymore. That's doubly awkward, considering Jamara
is now going to have to come back into her
life talk to her family and friends, She's basically said,
my family hate you. Yeah. I mean. My guest is
that Jamara has really worked on himself over the last year.
(16:50):
He had the year off footy to address mental health
issues after he admitted he had reached rock bottom. So
I'm guessing that liv has taken him back because he's changed.
Steph Clare Smith has revealed her husband Josh has undergone
a vasectomy. Speaking on the Kickpod alongside her co host
Laura Henshaw, Steph said they made the decision after discussing
(17:12):
what contraception they would like to use. Was it just
me or do you think that this conversation was too
fresh for Steph to have because she did break down
in tears and she was like, Oh, I don't want
anyone to think that I regret this decision or I
was pushed into it. But I have to admit that
was my thought the whole time listening to him, because
it sounds like she was the one that wanted to
(17:34):
potentially go for a third baby, and Josh was the
one that was certain he didn't want another one.
Speaker 2 (17:39):
Ye.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
It kind of sounded like he had persuaded her. Well.
The conversation started when Steph said that she didn't want
to go and have another IUD and then she said, well,
Josh and I don't like to use condoms, So I think,
to me, that was kind of like Josh doesn't like
using it. Yeah, no, she rights to say both of
us that I took from that conversation too. And then
this led to Josh and Steph having a conversation about well,
(18:01):
do we actually want any more children? And Steph said
that she was really shocked to hear that Josh was
happy with two because he's come from a really large family,
so she just expected, well, we're gonna have more than two.
Let's have a listen to what she said.
Speaker 2 (18:15):
I think the other thing is because I've spoken to
some girlfriends about this and they're like, oh, but you know,
it's reversible, and like all the things say, you know,
don't go and make this decision if you're planning to
reverse it, right, if you've already got the plan to
reverse it. But I think what we also came to
and came comfortable with making the decision is like, if
(18:36):
say three is down the track, like I completely flip
my mind and have this huge desire to try again,
and we try the whole reversal thing and it fails,
because there's a good chance that it does. It doesn't
always succeed. In that I'm comfortable with that, Like we
got to this place where I was like, I don't
think I will want that. I don't think I after
going through it and really working through it, I don't
(18:57):
think I'm going to change my mind.
Speaker 1 (18:59):
I found it interesting when Steph said, well, we're not
going to go into the personal reasons why we decided
that we didn't want to have a third child. I
was thinking, isn't this the whole episode? And then she
was listing reasons that people often would have and it's like, oh, financial,
but oh, we don't have that, and we know we
have the means to do it. I just found it
odd because it's kind of like, well, it's okay if
you don't have a third Yeah, that's completely fine.
Speaker 3 (19:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (19:22):
I feel like after having one, a lot of the
time people go, oh, do you want a second one?
I feel like there's almost more pressure when you have one,
even compared because I have none. I feel like I've
never had so many people ask me. I've seen the
tiktoks when people are like, oh, first baby announcement, Oh
my god, it's so exciting. Second baby announcement, Oh my god,
it's so great that the other baby's going to have
a friend of third announcement? Are you mad? Like remember
(19:44):
when Laura Byrne announced her third baby, and I remember
it's like, what I do. Think it was quite brave, though,
of Steph to share this conversation, because I feel like
a lot of couples do have it. They're like, Oh,
are we going to have another one? Or is the
husband going to get a snip? Is that what's going
to happen? The snip conversation is a funny one because
I have friends who it's a little bit of an
(20:05):
in joke in our friendship group that the husband just
needs to go get a snipper because they've had baby
number three, but he just doesn't want to do it.
And it's like, oh, come on, mate, like your wife
has literally gone through three pregnancies. It's the least you
can do, exactly, I mean. And then also, anytime a
man goes and does that, they seem to have bed
rest for like a week, whereas if you've given birth
you have to be up all hours. Yeah, exactly, they
(20:27):
need to get up and get on with it like
we have to. I was a little bit concerned when
Steph kept saying that the visectomy was reversible, because that's
not always the case. Like, yes, in some instances it
can be reversed, but there are also instances where it
can't be. And I just think if you're unsure, then
maybe one of you should go in another form of
contraception rather relying on the visectomy being the contraception. Sarah's
(20:50):
Day splashed the cash for her husband, Kurt Tills's birthday.
Not only did they dine on the most expensive sushi
roles Sydney has to offer, but Sarah also price Kurt
with his dream watch, Kate, can you tell us? More So,
the couple enjoyed a twelve course Japanese omakasi at a
bar in Circular Key. Now, Sarah explained that omakasi means
(21:12):
dishes selected by the chef, so you could tell at
that point it was very expensive and for someone who
touts themselves as a foodie, she didn't really seem ultra impressed,
so she wasn't a fan of the restaurant's signature sushi,
which she shared was the most expensive sushi roll you
could get in Sydney. She was so complained about the
diners she had to share a table with. So for
(21:32):
this type of dining experience, you had to sit with
other couples who you don't know, and according to Sarah,
the two older businessmen next to them had main character
energy and dominated the conversation. When she described them like that,
I was like, I wonder if they thought that she
had main character energy, They're probably like, why are these
people filming themselves? I found it ironic that complaint coming
(21:53):
from an influencer. I'm like, if anyone's not main character energy,
it's an influencer who's filming themselves eating twelve courses. I'm
just still getting used to seeing Kurt with no hair,
and it seems like a lot of Sarah's followers are also.
There were so many comments about Kurt's shaved head. Yeah
it was Someone wrote in capitals under the video, why
is he bald, to which Sarah replied in capitals because
(22:13):
he shaved his head. I got the vibe that Kurt
didn't really like the feast either, because the first course
was an oyster, which he doesn't like. I mean, I
just feel like the stuff was too fancy, you know, like, Oh,
I'm going to go to this really nice restaurant. It's
going to cost an absolute bomb, and then all the
food's a bit weird. You gotta go get Macas on
the way home after Yeah, I mean I would love
to know if behind the scenes Sarah's day actually does that,
(22:35):
because I swear she has macis. Oh she would, Now,
I don't think you her hey day she would have,
but definitely now Now, after the dinner, Sarah surprised Kurt again,
this time by taking him to Cartier and buying him
his dream watch. Now the watching question is called the
Santos and retails for thirteen thousand dollars. This is nothing
(22:57):
compared to the boat she got him for Christmas though. Yeah,
but I mean people were like, oh, is this like
a milestone birthday and she's like, nah, I'm just a
dream wife. I guess like people were absolutely shocked. I mean,
Sarah was quite sassy in the comments because someone wrote
under the video, imagine receiving a thirteen thousand dollar watch
for your birthday, and Sarah responded, imagine with the drooling emoji.
I'd be pretty over the moon, to be honest, Why
(23:19):
are you being rude to your followers? Yeah, that's probably
not the best way to play it, wouldn't That's that's
when you meant to use the whole influencer card of
We're so grateful. Without you guys, we wouldn't be able
to do this. Yeah, it's just a copy and paste
job of how grateful you are. And I mean it
didn't seem very grateful. It kind of was like, Yeah,
I've got a lot of cash, what's your issue? I mean, obviously,
when you're gonna post a video like that, and you know,
(23:42):
like like the video for Dan posted of a birthday
stob aganza, you're gonna have the comments of people saying
it's tone deaf and I can't believe you can afford
that much. You don't just then be braddy back to them,
because you know, that's what you've got to expect. I
wonder if they discussed how much they're gonna spend each year,
because if you're spending thirteen thousand dollars one year, do
you then have to back it up the next year?
Or you know, when she got Curt a boat, what
(24:03):
did she get him the next year? Like a packet
of jocks and socks? Like how do you work here?
But also if you're Kurt, how do you repay the favor?
Because it's quite clear that Sarah's day is the breadwinner
of the family, and you know, she likes to slash
her cash and spoil her family members. A couple of
years ago, she bought her dad in Aston Martin. You've
touched on the boat that she bought Kurt for Christmas.
(24:25):
I mean, most people aren't in a position to repay
the favor, So do you have to go down the
really thoughtful path and go like, oh, I'm going to
get you this thing that's you know, like my kids
engraved names on you know what I mean, like something
very personal. Well, Sarah always gives across his vibe that
she's disappointed by her presence at Christmas and her birthday.
(24:45):
Did get that vibe too, Like, maybe I've watched too
much of their content. I'm gonna say I thoroughly enjoyed
Sarah's most recent vlog. It was like she was back
to her old vlogging style. She shared so much about
what was happening in their life, and I just found
myself like, actually really enjoy Well, it's clear she's had
a tough trot the last year. You know, she had
her third baby who had refluxed. She documented how difficult
(25:06):
it was, and it seems like she's sort of on
the other side of that and enjoying family life a
lot more now and that's reflected in her vlog content.
I do love her Christmas Dave blog. I hang out
for that every year, and I love the fact that
she films her and her kid's opening her Christmas presence
and the genuine responses because, as you say, it kind
of gives me the vibe of when you look back
at our old family videos and you can kind of
(25:28):
tell like, my mom didn't really like that, or you know,
that person didn't really I actually want to do that
this year where I've logged my own Christmas Day and
obviously not put it online, but just have it as
a momento. I am mortified. So last Christmas, I set
up my phone to film like Jack opening his Christmas Presence,
and you know, I was like, oh, whatever, I'll you know,
be in my pj's. Unfortunately, though, I had tanned the
(25:51):
night before, and I it is honestly the most embarrassing
vision I've actually watched back because I hadn't watched the
tan off and I kind of look look a bit green.
I think the tan was a bit old, so I
kind of looked like the gringe and the tan is
just so severe it's like so greeny brown on my neck,
and then my face is just like completely stark white,
(26:11):
and I'm wearing a dressing own and I'm like I
could not look more hideous. So this Christmas I neither
either need to do my tan in advance or have
a shout before we film the present vision end up
getting played on your in law's photo frame. Like our
parents and also your husband's parents, they both got given
these photo frames that you can put videos and photos on,
and I think didn't automatically think that video into their frame.
(26:35):
Oh yeah, he sent them a video and I nearly
died because it was quite a while after Christmas Day
that I saw it on this interactive frame and I
was in the background of it, and I was like,
holy fuck, like what the hell? And I actually I'm
removing it from the frame, I hope but deleted. But
I was like, Reece, could you be more careful with
(26:55):
the things that you said? And I was in the
background of that. I feel like I need to set
my camera up and to automatically take photos on Christmas
Day because I already know the photos of me and
Harry are going to be horrendous. If there is God, hands.
So I did a December first box for Jack and
I was sitting there like reading him a book from
the box, and mind you, it wasn't in the morning.
(27:16):
I was like I'd had a day of it, like
I'd had a day of you know, looking after a
toddler running around. I was not looking my best, and like,
you know, Reese did the thing that you ask all
husbands to do, which was to take some sort of
like nonchalant photos of you, unaware of your interacting with
your child, like big tick there. The photos were that
dreadful though. I was like, oh my god, is that
what I look like? And they were kind of like,
that's not what you look like. It was the frame
(27:39):
wasn't shot up something like Samsung. Yeah, like shit, yeah.
I was like, what the fuck? It zoomed up as well,
Yes I did, and I was like, I mean, I
know that my makeup was rubbed off and whatnot, but
I was like, surely this has got something to do
with how you took the photo. And I actually gave
him that feedback and then he said, well, this is
why husbands don't take photos. And I'm like, it's so
unfair because the photos and videos I get with him
(28:00):
and Jack so nice. I realized the other day that
the reason Dale's photos are so shit is he has
an iPhone but he holds the button on the side,
you know, like the volume button. Oh, he takes it, Yeah,
the button. And I said, is his iPhone like an
iPhone six or something as well? Wrap and then he
takes it like he doesn't actually hold it and look
at the person. He like, takes it sort of on
the side. There's no way that any of the photos
(28:22):
he took were going to be any good. Well, we
need to be good mums with each other and just
start taking that that vision of ourselves when we're together.
Let's get into our Friday debrief. And I cannot believe
it is already the twelfth of December, and normally we
would have already started rolling out our Christmas content. Last
year we did Christmas interviews. I think we'd be doing
them for I don't know, since twenty twenty now. Yeah,
(28:43):
But the vibe I was getting was people actually prefer
our regular episodes. They want a touch of Christmas, but
they still want the influencer gossip. So we are going
to continue rolling out fresh content over the Christmas period.
We're not going to go on a massive break like
all of the other podcasts. Something worst on your favorite
podcast goes on a break and you're like, what I
meant to listen to? I heard something. I think it
was Abby Chatfield. I was listening to her podcast and
(29:04):
she was saying that normally she has a six week
breakover Christmas from her podcast, but she's not this year,
and I was like, oh my god, that's right. Everyone
goes away for such a long time you have to
listen to like reruns or other I'm very envious of
the podcast that also are so big that they have
a middle of the year break. So we're going to
(29:24):
be releasing bite sized episodes that will keep you up
to date with what's going on in the influencer world
across that break. There'll be a bit of Christmas fun
within those episodes as well. We're going to be doing
our ann You'll Influencer twenty twenty six predictions. We're also
going to be looking back at the top ten influencer
stories of twenty twenty five. I've actually said Thokate that
we're not doing the Influencer slash Celebrity interviews this year
(29:47):
about you know, what they're doing for Christmas, because we
could have had a really interesting interview with body Blue.
I can't even keep a straight face. So basically Bondy
Blues PR people reached out and they said, oh, we
think it'd be really great fit for this podcast. They're
obviously trying to get a lot of publicity about her
because she was at school. She's now in Bali, apparently
facing fifteen years in a hell whole jail according to
(30:08):
the Daily Mail. So imagine having Bonnie Blue on talking
about her Christmas. Yeah, they've actually sent up a few
follow ups. They're quite desperate to get her on Outspoken,
but we've said, no, why don't we even reply vibe
of the you know, the podcast or something that we
really want to be promoting, But we did. I did
laugh though when that interview request came. Do we get
so many now from like these random PR companies? And
(30:30):
I think, do you even listen to the podcast? Like,
clearly this is like a center around CC blind CC.
This interview request, well we got with from a PR
company that clearly got confused. So like we'd love to
have so and so on Outspoken podcast. I was going
to write back and say this is just Outspoken. We're
not a beauty podcast. No, well there is one called
Outspoken Beauty, so it does exist, but it's not us.
(30:53):
That is where we're going to leave things today. We'll
back in your ears on Tuesday, but if you do
want to hear more content from us in the meantime,
we drop us the debscriber only episode every Thursday. We
had a very juicy topic about Ashy Bines's new personal
development vault. Only had seventy five people sign up out
of the million followers that she has, so it wasn't
really a great conversion rate. The the best thing about
(31:15):
Outspoken Plus is that once you sign up you can
listen to all of the old episodes. So if you're
looking for a podcast to listen to over Christmas, Outspoken
Plus that could be a good, good little Christmas gift,
a great Christmas present to tell your partner she get
it because it just keeps giving the whole year week
gift that keeps giving. Well, I think that's what we've
got time for. I hope you guys have a lovely weekend.
And this episode was recorded on the traditional land of
(31:36):
the Ghana people of the Adelaide planes. We pay respect
to Elder's past and present,
