Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hello, and welcome to Outspoken. It's your dose of the
hottest influencer and pop culture news.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Twice a week.
Speaker 1 (00:08):
I'm Amy Torba and coming up on today's show, Olivia Rodgers,
Shock Baby News, Sarah's Day's, Black Friday promo drama, Nadia
Bartell's plans to grow her family, and our Friday Influencer Dump.
The first Tammy Henbrose antics following show Poe's fifteenth birthday
event in Sydney have set tongues wagging cake?
Speaker 2 (00:29):
Can you tell us more?
Speaker 1 (00:30):
So? Tammy was filmed by paparazzi leaving the event with
an older gentleman who appears to be Sean Anderson.
Speaker 3 (00:36):
Now.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
Sean is the CEO of the talent management company twenty two,
who recently signed Tammy to its books. He's also one
of Australia's best known talent managers. He made a name
for himself back in the day managing Jennifer Hawkins when
she was crowned Miss Universe. And in this vision, they
look very cozy, don't they. So Sean's got his arm
around Tammy's shoulder and it almost looks like they're holding hands. Yeah,
(00:58):
his hand kind of link down to hold hers and
it's kind of awkward because they're around other people waiting
for a taxi.
Speaker 3 (01:05):
Now.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
The video appeared on Paparazzo Jaden Seagrass TikTok before it
was very swiftly taken down, which got people questioning, oh,
is he married? Now? I did some digging and it
appears Sean is single. Back in twenty twenty one, the
Daily Telegraph reported that he and his wife separated after
twenty years of marriage. They have two adult children together.
I wonder what they think. It's quite awkward because the
(01:26):
search term Tammy hembro old man is currently training on TikTok.
Speaker 3 (01:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
I must admit when I saw the vision, I was like,
who the hell is this guy? And what on earth
is going on? I mean, playing Devil's advocate. This could
just be a friendship that we're seeing. I mean, he
is the CEO of the talent management company Tammy works for.
On Saturday night, Tammy and her sisters attended the company's
twenty second birthday event in Sydney, so they've been hanging
out a lot recently. I also noticed Tammy showed some
(01:53):
love on a post about Sean, so one of the
publicists who works for twenty two Management, put up a
post in the lead up to the birth praising Sean
and Tammy. Hembro added love hearts under it. Look to me,
this vision looked very flirty. It didn't look like they
were friends. And to add further intrigue, back in Tammy's
hotel room after this event, she shared a video of
(02:13):
her lying in bed, miming to the infamous mean Girl's line,
I can't go out. I'm sick, And after she mimes
to this, you see a man's mustly arm reach into
the shot and the anonymous man pulls her into his bicep.
I mean, this really is bicep gate. People are like,
who the hell is this? Is this the old guy?
I mean, not to aid shame, but I didn't look
like an arm of an older gentleman. I mean, if
(02:34):
it is Sean Anderson, good on him. You've clearly been
hitting the gym. It was pretty funny because Tammy was
hanging out at this event with Indy Clinton. Again, they
are an iconic duo. They've actually added to their mum's
group aims. What an inclusion. She is an absolute legend.
I love seeing the three of them hanging out and
filming tiktoks and it's pretty funny because Indy Clinton wrote
(02:55):
under the video, oh my effing god, I have no
one to talk about this. We can I call you?
And Ames added the way I gasped. Other people weren't
so happy about it. Another person wrote already, to which
Tammy replied, it's just a by sep. What does she
mean already? Hasn't she seen the news about Bailey Smith?
Could this be Bailey Smith's bicep?
Speaker 2 (03:14):
Well?
Speaker 1 (03:14):
Talking about Bailey Smith. One of our lovely listeners emailed
us to let us know that they spotted Bailey Smith
on a plane to the Gold Coast, potentially flying out
to visit Tammy.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
I'm excited for my bump.
Speaker 4 (03:26):
Like I said, I've already got this Pinterest folder saved
of all the outfits I want to wear with my bump.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
Olivia Rodgers has announced she's expecting her first child with
boyfriend Hugo Brakey. The former Miss Universe contestant, shared the
news on social media earlier this week and was.
Speaker 2 (03:42):
Inundated with well wishes.
Speaker 1 (03:44):
The reaction online was almost as if people had just
found out their best friend was pregnant. Everyone was just
so genuinely happy for Olivia, which was so nice to see. Yeah,
and it makes a lot of sense because Olivia has
been so open about how much she wants to be
a mum.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
It was only a couple of years ago that she
documented the process of freeze her eggs, and following her divorce,
she shared that she was going through fertility treatment during
her marriage to Justin mckin, which was very brave considering
She shared that it was actually a part of the
decision why she decided to break up with him, because
she was set to undergo a fertility procedure and realized
the day before going through with it that it just
(04:18):
wasn't going to work with Justin.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
She didn't want to have a child with him.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Yeah, because she said the thought of having a baby
with him made her feel really scared when you should
be feeling really excited and happy.
Speaker 4 (04:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
And as you said earlier, Olivia has been so open
about the fact that she is ready to be a mum.
She even spoke about the prospect of having a baby
on her own. So that is why everyone is just
absolutely thrilled about this news. I suppose it goes to
show you never know what's actually around the corner because
it was a year after Olivia made that statement that
she met Hugo, So they actually met in December of
twenty twenty three, when Hugo was at a Bucks show
(04:50):
and they're set to celebrate their second anniversary in a
few weeks time. God, time is just going so quickly,
because I was like, I'm certain they've only been together
for a year, but it actually has been too which
blew my mind.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
How was it two years ago since she was dating
Morgan Waterhouse?
Speaker 1 (05:02):
Well them, I have something to do with the fact
that she didn't go public with her relationship until June
twenty twenty four, six months into it, and that was
off the back of Olivia wanting to keep her relationships
private after her divorce from Justin McKeon. As you touched on, Amy,
she did hook up with Morgan Waterhouse quite quickly after
her divorce, and quite publicly, But I feel like Morgan
Waterhouse was the one pushing to make that so public. Yeah,
(05:24):
he made quite a few public potshots at Olivia that
I thought were really out.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
Of one and I feel like him being such a
douchebag during and after their relationship.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
I think It made everyone like Hugo so much, even
though we'd really only seen a photo of him, like
for months, all that we knew of him was that
he kind of looked a bit like Justin McKeehan. It
wasn't until September that Olivia dropped an interview with Hugo
and it was really in depth and he seemed lovely.
I mean, kay, I remember you mentioning that he seemed
like a real private schoolboy. Originally, I think that's perfect
(05:55):
for Olivia, let's be honest. Yeah, exactly. My math is correct.
It must have been around this that they actually found
out they were pregnant. It is interesting timing. I mean,
from a pr perspective, Olivia probably thought, geez, I really
need to introduce this guy to my audience, because it's
going to come as quite a shock if I just
suddenly say, oh, we're I'm expecting a baby. I mean,
I've been very open about the fact that I've been
(06:16):
on engagement watch ever since this interview. I was predicting
an engagement in December, but this has really thrown me.
This was not on my bingo card. Well, yeah, I
thought you were onto something, especially when Olivia announced that
she and Hugo were moving into a bigger place, but
this is of course, to accommodate for their baby.
Speaker 4 (06:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
Well, it seems like this move was put on fast
track because Olivia said that she didn't want to move
when she was heavily pregnant, which is obviously a good idea.
It seems like this was a real shock to Olivia
and Hugo because Olivia was interviewed on her own podcast
this week after the news and she said that it
came as a surprise because they actually weren't trying to conceive,
(06:54):
and she ended up taking a pregnancy test after her
period was a couple of days late, so she found
out of the four weeks, which is very early. You
actually hear this happening quite often, especially in the influencer world,
like Sarah's Day. She spoke about all of her fertility
issues and then she had this surprise pregnancy with Fox.
I'm assuming that maybe they weren't taking as many precautions
because they thought, well, this is going to be quite
(07:16):
difficult for us to conceive, and then they've had this
amazing news.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
Olivia actually opened up about the fact that she was
quite nervous to share the News because, as you said,
she's been very open about her fertility struggles, and she
felt like maybe it wouldn't be received that well, particularly
because she'd also lined up to have her fertility specialist
on the podcast.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
To be interviewed.
Speaker 1 (07:37):
Well, I'm kind of not surprised at that thought went
through Olivia's mind because other influences have spoken in the
past about how they've been on a fertility journey and
when they fall pregnant, suddenly their audience doesn't relate to
them anymore and they almost turn on them. Yeah. Well,
there are a lot of emotions involved in a topic
like fertility, so it is understandable that things can get
emotional in that space. Well, on the day of this interview,
(07:59):
Olivia shared video on Instagram of her finding out that
she was pregnant.
Speaker 2 (08:03):
So she had hit.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
Record on her phone because she thought that this pregnancy
test was going to be one of many negative tests,
so she was very.
Speaker 2 (08:11):
Shocked to actually discover that she was pregnant.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
Yeah, this was one pregnancy video that you knew was
one hundred percent genuine, like there was no hamming it up.
She was completely shocked, like her eyes were so wide.
Apparently Hugo was in the other bathroom and she had
to call him in and he was just not expecting it.
But I loved his reaction. You can tell he just
has such a calming effect on Olivia. He's like, this
is good news. Well, even though Olivia and Hugo were
(08:35):
obviously thrilled by the news, she did admit on the
podcast that they were both rattled for a couple of
weeks after, and apparently when Olivia told her sister, her
first reaction was to ask how Hugo was because she
knows exactly what he's like. Yeah, Olivia spoke about how
Hugo is a real planner, and that was very evident
in the podcast interview he did with her because he
(08:55):
works as a management consultant and has a backgrounding chemical engineering.
His job is literally coming into businesses and making them
function better, and you can see he's really structured in
his approach. So Olivia said, it's really thrown him that
this pregnancy wasn't planned. Apparently he's taken it in a
stride and has been listening to a parenting book to
prepare himself, which I thought was really sweet. There is
(09:16):
I think you did the word you see your husband
reading a parenting book. I remember seeing Dale read Doctor
Golly and I was like, Okay, this is good. I
do want to commend Olivia on being so real when
she was talking about having mixed emotions when she found
out she was pregnant, because it's something a lot of
us go through. So she said that during the first
two weeks she felt so scared about her life changing
because she loves her life. And she also spoke about
how she was worried that having a baby would change
(09:38):
her relationship with Hugo.
Speaker 2 (09:40):
Let's take a listen.
Speaker 4 (09:41):
Nervousness also around. I love my relationship with Hugo, and
I have been like, oh my god, I'm I going
to burst the bubble with this. But I do think
from all of my close friends who have kids, they
have said, if you've got any little niggles or things
that annoy you about the other person, it's like pouring
fuel on them.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
So they will be exacerbated.
Speaker 4 (10:02):
But equally, if you're in a good relationship, it makes
you feel stronger and it gives you this bond that
is like nothing else. So I'm excited about that. I
think it's normal to feel nervous like I talked to
my cycle a lot about it, Nervous about whether or
not I'm going to be good at it.
Speaker 2 (10:18):
You know, being a good parent.
Speaker 4 (10:20):
I think there's so much to learn.
Speaker 1 (10:22):
I think that's a hard emotion for people to admit,
especially ones who've struggled to conceive, because you would have
running you through your mind. I have to be so
grateful that this is such exciting news. But it doesn't
mean that Olivia isn't going to experience all of those things,
like she will feel resentful at some stage, that maybe
she is looking after the baby more, or she will have,
(10:42):
you know, those pangs of missing her old life. It's
just normal, well, particularly when it wasn't something that was planned.
We heard Nikki Westcott shares a similar sentiment on her podcast.
So it's nice that women feel comfortable enough to talk
about these things. I was keen to hear Olivia's thoughts
on the privacy around her baby, because this is something
influences have to really seriously consider, and she seemed to
(11:04):
be apprehensive about sharing her baby's face online. She said
she wasn't really sure what she would do, and one
of her friends actually said to her, well, how would
you feel if your baby's face was shared on the
Daily Mail, and she was like, I actually wouldn't like
that at all. I wonder if that came off the
back of her ex husband Justin McKean's birth announcement being
shared in the Daily Maybe there's something about the Daily
(11:27):
Mail like it's I think it's the comments section that's
the big issue with it.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
The people on the are just so vile.
Speaker 1 (11:34):
Yeah, I mean she did say that she potentially could
change her mind. I think a lot of people are
swayed when they see their baby and they're just so
proud and like, oh, I want to share them. So
she said she you know, that could change. It's interesting
because she spoke about how she used to share her
niece's face online up until she was about two and
went to daycare. It seems like at the moment, the
general consensus with influences is you don't show them at all,
(11:55):
or you show them up to two. Yeah, have you
noticed that recently? Brooke Hogan did the same thing, And
obviously Steph cls Smith we've spoken a lot about how
she stopped showing Harvey's face when he was around three.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
Seems to be the cutoff.
Speaker 1 (12:07):
It's really hard because I'm in that predicament where I've
shared my son's face on Instagram and it's got to
that point where I'm like, I don't know if i
want to continue sharing it because you hear of all
these horror stories for you know, normal people like it's
it's And it would be even worse if you had
this massive following because it would attract weirdos. Like Unfortunately,
(12:28):
you have to consider like where is this image going
to turn up?
Speaker 2 (12:31):
What can be done to this image?
Speaker 1 (12:32):
Is this safe to be putting these identifiable features out there? Yeah.
I also found it fascinating that Olivia said she was
apprehensive about sharing about motherhood and pregnancy in general, and
she mentioned how she was so shocked at the backlash
that Laura Henshaw received after she shared that she wanted
to have an elective cesarean. But we actually touched on
that a few weeks ago, so if anyone wants to
(12:54):
hear our thoughts on it, we were pretty passionate about
that topic. Yeah, because I mean a lot of influencers
once they become that sort of becomes their niche and they.
Speaker 2 (13:02):
Share about that.
Speaker 1 (13:03):
So it'll be interesting to see how Olivia's content changes,
and if it just becomes to a point, which I
think will probably get to where motherhood is so encompassing
and if your job is an influencer, you are going
to share about that process. I mean, you can do
it without sharing your baby's face, but there is a
lot of judgment I suppose that comes with that that
she is probably wanting to avoid.
Speaker 2 (13:23):
Okay, just back to your prediction.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
You said that you had a feeling that Hugo might
propose on Christmas Day. Well, it seems like your spider
senses were tingling for another reason. So this is a
pivotal date for them. Because Olivia revealed this is the.
Speaker 2 (13:37):
Date they're going to find out the gender of their baby.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
That must have been why I was thrown off. It's
pretty cute because Olivia said that she always thought she
wouldn't find out the gender, but because Hugo is such
a planner, he wants to know. So they've come up
with this compromise that they'll find out about the halfway
mark at twenty weeks, which is Christmas Day. I wonder
if they'll share the news with all of us on
Christmas Day or they'll keep it under it. Well, wasn't
(14:01):
a Christmas Day, or maybe it was Boxing Day where
Olivia a few years ago shared the Olivia edit of
her wedding video. So I wouldn't be surprised if they
dropped the news. Can we have a prediction? Do you
think girl or boy?
Speaker 2 (14:13):
I'm gonna go girl.
Speaker 1 (14:14):
Yeah, I was gonna say everyone seems to be having
boys that is in our life at the moment, But
I also have a strong feeling it's gonna be a girl.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
I'm not happy about this. We need a talk.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
Sarah's Day has been accused of misleading her audience. Following
the launch of her Black Friday sale, the og fitness
influencer shared her postpartum transformation in a video.
Speaker 2 (14:35):
That has now gone viral.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
The ad left people questioning whether the transformation featured was
a result from her much hyped sixty day challenge. I
can see why there was some confusion because Sarah has
spoken a lot about this challenge on her social media
and she's really been targeting it towards postpartum mums like herself,
and the video started off with Sarah showing a close
up of her freshly postpartum stomach, and in the vision
(15:01):
she squeezed and squished the loose skin together, and text
then appeared on the screen that said loading transformation. It
then transitioned to a shot of Sarah showing off her
very toned abs in the mirror. Now, this was a
full on body check like she used to do back
in the day. It looked like she was really sucking
in and positioning her body in the most flattering angle possible,
(15:23):
and text appeared on the screen that said up to
thirty percent off workout programs. Now in the caption, she
wrote up to thirty percent off workout programs including Body
and Bump, Pregnancy Guide, Restore, Postpartum Guide, sweat At to
Shreddit Home Workout Guide, and the entire Sweat series. Now
Sarah's five to sixty challenge is actually the only challenge
that's not on sale. However, there was a lot of
(15:44):
confusion around the video. Someone wrote, wow, is this the
start of your sixty day challenge, to which Sarah responded,
this is after my third baby. Then another one of
her followers chimed in saying it almost appears from the
way it is edited to insinuate it is from the
start of the challenge. I think transparency is needed telling
audiences exactly how many days et cetera postpartum those clips
(16:06):
were taken, as there is some natural looseness and elasticity
that takes some time to return immediately after birth. There's
no denying your an absolute machine who works very hard
and intentionally, but I think that transparency is key. Now
that comment got fifty four likes and Sarah did not.
Speaker 2 (16:21):
Reply to it.
Speaker 1 (16:22):
I'm actually surprised that that comment is still on there,
because most of the time comments.
Speaker 2 (16:26):
Like that get swiftly deleted by Sarah.
Speaker 1 (16:28):
I mean, for full transparency. There were a lot of
people who claimed that they were inspired by it, but
to be perfectly honest, it made me feel a little
bit sad because these were women who were postpartum and
looking for it for hope. So someone wrote, wow, so inspiring.
I'm currently three weeks in with my third baby who
might be collicky too, and having this loose belly skin
it gives me hope. Someone else added, man, I wish
(16:50):
I had as much discipline as you, and someone else wrote,
please adopt me as your mentor and teach me the
milk ways. I mean, there's no denying that Sarah looks
bloody amazing, But I think what people need to remember
is one, she is a fitness influencer too, she is
trying to push a guide. And three, everyone's bodies are different,
so even if you were to do all of these
workout plans, you may still not have Sarah's abs. And
(17:13):
the most disturbing thing, as you mentioned, Kay, is this
has been pushed to really vulnerable postpart and women who
were feeling shit about themselves. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (17:20):
Well.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
There was a Reddit thread about this promotion and some
women shared how it made them feel. One woman wrote,
I am nine months postpartum and have loose skin, extra weight,
and a birth injury. I'm still rehabbing. If I wasn't
in therapy and surrounded by people who were loving, encouraging,
I would be so torn up if I saw this,
and another woman wrote, I unfortunately bought the postpartum Workout Guide.
I used to blindly follow her, and then, while trying
(17:42):
to recover, I was doing these whack exercises that didn't
slowly increase intensity and cause many issues both physically and mentally.
In a low time in life, I thought if I
did the program, I would look like her and be fixed.
Since getting correct help both physically and mentally.
Speaker 2 (17:57):
I've learned how toxic Sarah is me.
Speaker 1 (18:00):
You are seven months postpartum. How does this type of
content make you feel? To be honest, when I see
content like this, I do sometimes look at it and go, wow.
Speaker 2 (18:07):
That is actually very inspiring.
Speaker 1 (18:09):
Yeah, but has it inspired you to do a workout? No,
but that's more of a time factor.
Speaker 2 (18:15):
But that's the thing.
Speaker 1 (18:15):
It is that you go, oh, I'd love to have
my body look like that, but actually, in reality.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
I don't have time. I probably am ever going to
look like it.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
But does that make you think, oh, well, Sarah, she's
got three children and she looks like that. You know,
it makes me feel bad that I'm not doing it.
Speaker 2 (18:29):
N It's definitely that.
Speaker 1 (18:29):
Content where you go like, fuck off, like as if
you look like that, and then it does, in turn
make you feel pretty shitty. And then the other thing
is then you think, well should I buy this, because
it's almost like you're buying a dream.
Speaker 2 (18:41):
You're buying hope that.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
You will actually maybe look at that, and that is
you know, and that is the problem with this because
there's no nuance there. It's quite misleading and saying Okay,
well I look like this and now I look like this,
so buy my workout guide. And there's no acknowledgment about
the fact that, well, Sarah is an incredible, wealthy business
woman who potentially has a nanny. I mean, she's been
(19:04):
open about the fact that she has a professional babysitter
there quite often to help her with work. It's also
a part of her job to look like that in
order to sell these workout guides. So when she, you know,
carves out time to do work, it is working out.
So there are a lot of parts to the story
that are not reflected in this promotion, and I do
think it's misleading and I feel for impressionable postpartum women
(19:27):
who are being targeted like this to essentially to at
the end of the day, make money, and a lot
of it.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
You know, this.
Speaker 1 (19:34):
Guide has sold over two thousand copies. It's made Sarah
over three hundred thousand dollars in revenue. That's a lot
of money we're talking about. I'd love to hear from
people that have done it. I mean, notice in Sarah's
marketing she doesn't use before and after photos. That was
something Kayla Estenez did back in the day. She solely
just relies on how her body looks. But does this
(19:54):
actually work for other people's bodies? That's what I would
like to know. Well, I wonder if Sarah is even
still taking part in the sixty Day ChIL because a
big part of the marketing was that you were doing
this challenge with Sarah, But after doing a couple of workouts,
it's completely dropped on.
Speaker 2 (20:07):
The sales have gone through.
Speaker 1 (20:09):
The thing I find crazy about some of these influencer
workout guides is, for example, with this one, Sarah made
it pretty clear that these exercises aren't what she does
all the time. So the body she currently has isn't
from doing these workouts, it's from doing other things like
pilates and going to the gym.
Speaker 2 (20:23):
Well, and she has a personal training.
Speaker 1 (20:25):
Yeah, but then we're being sold like, oh, if you
do this, you're going to look like Sarah. Well no,
because Sarah looks like Sarah because she's done X, Y
and Z. She hasn't just been doing this guide. On
the topic of Sarah, it's pretty interesting because earlier this week,
news dot com do au published an article about Hiro,
which is the electrolyte company that she invested in and
has been heavily promoting, and it spoke about how Hiro
(20:45):
is becoming a multimillion dollar company. So, according to the
co owner Steve Chapman, who was interviewed, the company's collaboration
with Sarah's Day and others have actually propelled the product
forward to be on track to do well north of
ten million dollars in yearly revenue for twenty six now.
Steve went on to say that when they launched their
collaboration with Sarah, they did multiple six figure days, which
(21:08):
were their biggest days by far at the time. However,
he's expecting to beat it this Black Friday now in
saying that prior to the Black Friday sales, Sarah's Hiro
flavor was actually being sold for half the price, despite
originally the company's sparking fears that it would instantly sell
out back in August off the back of their campaign.
(21:29):
Whenever I see figures like this mentioned in news articles,
I always take them with a grain of salt, because
it's good for Hiro to be quoting these type of figures.
We haven't actually seen any proof that they've made that money,
not to say they haven't, but they want to get
back on their investment with Sarah's Day. So by promoting
their business as earning x amount, they're going to get
(21:49):
more investors on board and there's going to be more interested.
Speaker 2 (21:51):
In this business.
Speaker 1 (21:51):
Well, they've been pretty open about the fact that they're
looking for investors. Their plan over the next five years
is to build the business into a one hundred million
dollar company. That's exactly what they're doing with this pr
But I mean, when you zoom out and look at
the full picture, and the reality is that they didn't
sell as well as they thought for Sarah's collaboration because
they've been flogging it off for fifty percent off before
Black Friday. Now let's get into our Friday influencer dump
(22:14):
and we're going to kick things off with Nadia Bartel,
one of my favorites. So she has opened up about
plans to grow her family and this is with her
long term boyfriend Peter dougmore So. The forty year old
told the Stellar podcast the couple have undergone the process
of freezing embryos and would like to start trying to
conceive this year. I can't believe she's forty. It blows
my mind. When beck Judd turned forty, it kind of
(22:37):
took me back because I just think of her back
in the day when she was twenty one on the
red carpet in that red dress at the Brown Low.
It's crazy to think that Nadia and beck have been
in the public eye for so long now. Yeah, and
it makes you realize that forty is not old at
all now. Nadia went on to tell Stella that the
plan is for them to try and conceive naturally, but
it is comforting to know that they've got the embryos
(22:58):
as well. Yea already has two sons with her ex,
Jimmy Bartel, a seven year old and a ten year old,
who are very cute. One of them looks exactly like Jimmy.
Speaker 2 (23:08):
Buttell which would.
Speaker 1 (23:09):
Be really I always thought, would that be difficult for
Nadia to be constantly reminded of her ex husband who
cheated on her? I mean, poor Kit, it's not his fault.
Speaker 2 (23:16):
No, No, I feel like it would be pretty shit.
Speaker 1 (23:18):
I don't know if you saw these rumors Kate in September,
but a lot of people thought that Nadia and Peter
had got engaged, and this was because she was seen
leaving a Melbourne bridal store with a big dress bag.
But the rumors were squashed the next day when she
appeared a charity event in this designer's outfit. But this
was off the back of her telling The Daily Mail
that Peter was the ones.
Speaker 2 (23:38):
A lot of people like, oh my god, they must
be getting married.
Speaker 1 (23:40):
I would love to see Nadia Bartell get married again.
I was obsessed with her look when she got married
to Jimmy Bartell, but I think from a style sense,
she's even gone up a notched, particularly since she's launched
her very successful clothing brand, Henny. So it'd be so
interesting to see what she did with her look, the bridemaids,
all of the styling of the events.
Speaker 2 (23:57):
I would definitely love to see it.
Speaker 1 (23:58):
She was actually quizzed by The Daily Emailed this month
about a potential wedding, and she told them I'd rather
be with someone that respects me and cares about me
than get married again, clearly a subtle swipe at Jimmy.
I mean, if they're planning on having a baby together,
I would imagine that a wedding may be on the cars.
Perhaps she's just waiting for Peter to propose. I didn't
(24:21):
actually know that much about Peter, so I did a
deep dive and he used to play football and he's
now a model, so he's actually super hot. And he
slid into Nadia's DMS in twenty twenty two. And Night
has said in this interview that she didn't normally respond
to private messages on Instagram, especially from people she didn't know,
but she made an exception because Peter looked really nice
(24:41):
on his Instagram. And he also didn't have too many
photos of himself. Oh that is always a good sign.
I mean, no photo with a fish tear, not too
many selfies a tick.
Speaker 2 (24:49):
Amy. When you mentioned that Peter played football, I was like,
did he?
Speaker 1 (24:53):
So? I quickly did a live Google while you were talking.
It wasn't at an AFL level. It seems more of
a local level potentially.
Speaker 2 (25:00):
I think that's even more appealing, to be honest.
Speaker 1 (25:03):
Yeah, because the VFL players actually have to have jobs
outside of footy, so they seem to be more well
ridd than normal, were more normal. Millie Court is reportedly
set to join the new series of Love Island All
Stars UK. The twenty nine year old, who won the
twenty twenty one season with former boyfriend Liam, is set
to enter the villa when the show starts in January.
(25:25):
What makes this extra juicy is the fact that Milly
and Liam only broke up in September this year, and
it's not the first time they've broken up. So a
couple of years ago they broke up and got back together. Now,
after the most recent breakup, it was widely tipped that
Liam would join the All Star series. Now that Millie
has been named as a contestant, people are even more
(25:47):
certain we're going to see both of them on the show. Well,
Milli really opened up on her YouTube recently and she
said that she was keen to settle down and spoke
about her fears of being left behind.
Speaker 2 (25:56):
Let's have a listen to what she said.
Speaker 3 (25:59):
I feel like as you get older, it's only natural
that you start to feel like your time's running out.
And I feel like, especially at my age now, I
have friends who are engaged. I have a friend who
is married, like my best friends who I've been friends
with for nearly ten years whatever, only actually have one
(26:23):
other friend who is single.
Speaker 1 (26:27):
I think if Milly and Liam enter the Villa this year,
it's going to be an unmissible series because neither of
them will hold back. They've also got the history of
being on a podcast together where they've had other Love
Island contestants on, so it's going to be even more
awkward if one starts looking up with one of the
contestants that they both know. I wonder if Millie has
(26:48):
spoken to the producers and said, look, I'll be on
the show off for Liam's not on it, because I
know that's happened in the past. Eck and Sue had
it in a contract that David A couldn't be on it. Yeah,
I'm hoping they haven't agreed to it because it's just
fucking bored unless they put the X back in. A
lot of people were actually saying, well, I don't want
to watch it this year because the show is just
going to turn into X on the Beach. I mean,
I don't know what they're talking about, like, turn it
(27:09):
more into X on the Beach, put more of their
exes in.
Speaker 2 (27:12):
Yeah, I mean.
Speaker 1 (27:12):
One of the appealing things about the All Star series
is that we know behind the scenes all the contestants
from different series have hooked up and they all know
each other and they're all connected somehow, and then we
get to see how that unfolds on screen. Former Block
contestants turned business moguls. Alissa and Lessandra were involved in
an awkward exchange on the You Beauty podcast. So the
(27:34):
twins were being interviewed about their thirty two million dollar
business Empire Alive, as well as their time on the Block.
When mid interviewed, the host confessed she only just realized
they were twins.
Speaker 2 (27:45):
Let's have a listen. When I was four, I reckon,
it's either she kicked me in mum's womb.
Speaker 4 (27:50):
Four.
Speaker 3 (27:51):
You guys have known each Oh you see, Oh my god,
we're fucking twins.
Speaker 2 (27:55):
That is so funny. That is so funny.
Speaker 3 (28:00):
Do you know I actually you're not.
Speaker 2 (28:02):
Sitting there going oh. They at least looked like sisters.
I was like, they look very similar.
Speaker 3 (28:07):
And when we were talking about there, I was like, oh,
they've both got such beautiful eyes.
Speaker 2 (28:16):
I just thought, you're really close.
Speaker 1 (28:21):
To my friends.
Speaker 2 (28:22):
You know, I do get that.
Speaker 1 (28:24):
That's true.
Speaker 2 (28:24):
Identical are you here?
Speaker 3 (28:26):
We are?
Speaker 2 (28:26):
Oh that's so funny. That's why. It's just like best
friends but just somehow ended up in the same Oh wow,
and you said we're both forty one.
Speaker 1 (28:37):
Yeah, so that also I was like, oh, see, besties
or twets not born from the same room.
Speaker 2 (28:45):
On the same day.
Speaker 1 (28:47):
I was pretty shocked when I saw this clip on
social media. I was like, oh my god, it's pretty
common knowledge that Lessandra and Alyssa are twins. I mean
they were known as the twins from the block. How
do you miss that? And the fact they look identical.
I mean, I know they've got different hairstyles, but come on,
and throughout the interview they were finishing one another's sentences.
They even both said that they were forty one. Yeah, well,
(29:09):
she goes, oh, I just thought you guys were the
friends you know that, you know, friends are usually the same.
Speaker 2 (29:13):
One of them was like, oh, we're fucking twins.
Speaker 1 (29:17):
Well. They actually ended up cutting this segment from the
podcast episode, but I suppose the producers probably saw how
hilarious it wasn't thought this is gonna go viral, so
they kind of threw the host under the bus there.
But she was getting amongst the comments and laughing at herself.
I mean, that's all you could do because it was
pretty embarrassed. It reminds me this is like a humble
brag of when we met Taylor Swift and she was like, so,
(29:38):
how do you guys know each other?
Speaker 2 (29:39):
And they're like Taylor, they're clearly sisters.
Speaker 1 (29:44):
In saying that, I'm gonna put my hand up and
say we often get people's names wrong on this podcast.
I would hope if we were interviewing them we would
know a bit more about them though, But yeah, we're
not perfect. I was hoping if I saw them in person,
i'd realized they were twins. It's pretty obvious anyway. I
think that's all we've got time for today. Thank you
so much for listening to another episode of Outspoken. If
