Speaker 1 (00:02):
On today's show, Taylor Swift hard launches her new romance
with an NFL star, Olivia Rodgers X is dating another
Bachelor contestant, and Jemma Pernita left terrified after a series
of ransom notes. Hello, and welcome to Outspoken. It's your
dose of the hottest influencer and pop culture news twice
(00:23):
a week. I'm Sophie Gilbert, and I'm going to cop
a lot of flak for bringing this story to the table,
but I thought it was pretty funny because an expert
has come out and told us how often we should
be washing our towers. Now, I want to know how
often is this happening in your households. I'm not on
a schedule or anything like. I probably just wash it
when it feels like it smells a bit, so it
(00:43):
could be a couple of weeks or a month. Yes,
our towers are getting to a point where they desperately
need a wash, but I'm assuming you're supposed to wash them.
Is it once a week? Well? I copped a lot
of messages when I admitted that sometimes in my house
it gets to a situation where my partner and I
are sharing a towel.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
I don't know how it happens.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
I love that you say it often happens. I feel
like this is an everyday thing.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
Well, to put it out there.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
My partner lived at home when we first met, and
we used to laugh because he would use a new
towel every time he had a shower. So his mum
had this fully stocked cupboard, and he would even get
towers if it was in winter, and he put them
on the grounds we didn't have to step on the cold.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
So I want to blame him.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
I feel like he goes through the towels quickly and
then suddenly steals my towel. Interesting, but how many towers
do you actually own? Because I immediately use Sheridan towers
and they're bloody expensive. So I've got one new one
and then one crap one that's probably like fifteen years
old that I'll use when the other ones in the world.
When Brandon and I moved in together, we bought the
shittiest towels from Kama and they're those tiny ones, barely
(01:46):
no no no. But then this year we're like, we've
got to buy ourselves a nice tower, so we each
bought ourselves the larger towers, so that's the warge no
no no from like Mayra or somewhere. So those are
the ones that get stolen and we kind of use
back and forth. Yeah, Dayla and I the sheet towels,
we've got country road ones and they're the ones we
kind of use all the time. But then you've always
got those draggy towels that are in your cupboards. So
(02:07):
how many times are you meant to be washing your towel? Well,
apparently it's every three days. And what's worse is if
you are having two showers a day or multiple showers
during the day, you should wash that towel every twenty
four hours. Well, how are you meant to do that?
Because whenever I wash my towel, it takes days in
winter to dry it.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
I don't have a dryer.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
Do you know What's even worse is apparently, if you've
got a really thick lux towel, I assume like yours
from country road amy is sometimes you can think that
that towel is dry, but apparently they take days to dry,
and it can be even worse because there's all this
yucky bacteria living in it. Anytime these reports come out,
there's always some really disturbing finding that there's like feces
on your towel or something. Is that kind of what
(02:47):
they're saying.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
The expert did.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
Say that as well as washing your towel this many times,
you should also do a deep clean once a month.
So what the deep clean involves is basically submerging your
towel in to water to soak it with washing liquid
and basically leaving it there overnight.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
So that he can get rid of all of the bacteria.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
So you're so, did you say that once a month? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (03:11):
Is anyone doing this?
Speaker 1 (03:12):
I want to know of our listeners, is anyone sticking
by these rules or are we just pigs? I feel
like the only people that would be doing this is
those people on TikTok who literally just post about cleaning
their house the whole time.
Speaker 2 (03:21):
That's a bit of a flex, isn't it.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
It is.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
Forty seven.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
Olivia Rogers' ex husband Justin McKean has continued his trend
of dating ex Bachelor contestants. Over the weekend, he hard
launched his relationship with Tarny Leeson, who appeared on Jimmy
Nicholson's series.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
Of The Bachelor.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
As soon as I saw this, photo I quickly forwarded
onto you guys because it was a photo of Ziggy,
which is Justin's dog, So he used to share it
with Olivia and she wrote the boys and I just
thought if that was me and I was seeing my
dog with my partner's new partner.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
That would be a dagger through the heart.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
I thought it was interesting she chose to launch their
relationship with a picture of Ziggy because he was quite
a divisive part of their breakup, because it was clear
Olivia wanted to keep him and Justin has kind of
been using him to.
Speaker 2 (04:17):
Get at her.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
Yeah. Well, you guys have been calling it a soft launch.
I feel like a soft launch is someone's arm or
you could see Justin's leg sharing Ziggy.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
This is more of a hard launch.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
Everybody knows that dog. Well it's yeah, it's a way
to tell the public that he's mine because this dog,
it's a chow chow, it's a very recognizable dog, has
a large social media following. Yeah, well, Justin didn't take
long to actually hard launch the relationship put on his
own Instagram, so he ended up sharing Tiny's original post
of Ziggy, and then he also shared a photo of
(04:47):
him and Tarany together. It was quite a strange photo.
It wasn't a romantic picture. It was Tany doing a
weird hand signal, and he captioned it, here's to me
trying to get a nice photo and tings. It gave
me the absolutely it came using the word tings. Do
we find it amusing that he shared that photo because
it's that trend of men always sharing these horrible photos
of women that we would never want shared to the
(05:08):
general public. I also thought it was very different to
the sort of content that he would share with Olivia,
because Olivia seems so put together and is always dressed
up to rated.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
Yeah, it's very curated.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
And this just seemed like, Oh, Tarany's fun and outgoing. Yeah.
I feel like it was a comment on their relationship
that they were really good mates and it was also
a romantic relationship. I'm not really that familiar with Tarny
because I didn't watch Jimmy series of The Bachelor, but
apparently she left in quite controversial circumstances. So she overheard
one of the other contestants, Jay, having a conversation with
(05:43):
another contestant saying that she hoped that she was the
show's runner up because they tend to do better, and
Tarani ended up telling Jimmy about it, but Jimmy sided
with Jay rather than her, So she's a bit of
a snitch. Well yeah, but I think she was doing
the right thing. Yeah, no, so do I. It's funny
because no one seems to do well out of the
Bachelor anymore. I feel like it's such a flop and
now I get well, this gwy Tafiel No, but I'm
(06:05):
saying now the past couple of series, no one gets
a following at all. I had no idea who this
girl was. I mean, she looked familiar, because I feel
like a lot of the contestants start merging into one.
And it's even more interesting because a couple of months
ago we reported on the fact that Justin was in
a love triangle with two other Bachelor contestants from the
most recent series of the show. And it was actually
(06:26):
so dramatic that reported that Justin was dating Lea Cummins
and Tash Candace at the same time, which culminated in
an appearance at a boxing match. Now. Leah later confirmed
in August that she had been dating Justin, and she
labeled it disappointing so she told the advertiser that Justin
wasn't who he made himself out to be, and went
on to say, Unfortunately, I see the best in people
(06:47):
and it was disappointing when this was proved wrong. I
would assume that Justin has been dating all these Bachelor
contestants because they would be going to all of the
same events. I feel like since the breakup with Olivia,
Justin has become an influence himself, so he would be like,
he's always at barber Yeah, he's always there. And also
a lot of these Bachelor contestants in the most recent series,
(07:08):
they all haven't attracted the type of following they would
have liked to. So I think that Justin looks even
more attractive to them because they're like, oh, he dated Olivia,
who's a massive influencer, and I date this guy, I'm
going to get.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
A bit of a profile.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
And I suppose both of them don't have huge profiles,
but together they're a little bit more interesting.
Speaker 3 (07:27):
A cutout note like ransom style, like that strip of
paper with printed typer and it said hope your day
is as nice as your peach emoji.
Speaker 1 (07:39):
Australian influencer and podcaster Jemma Pernita has revealed she was
left terrified after receiving a number of strange packages sent
to a home address now Amy. Jemma was so concerned
by the contents that she ended up calling the police.
What was actually inside these packages? Well, the first package
contained five sachets of peach iced tea, as well as
(08:02):
a cutout ransom style note that read hope your day
is as nice as your peach emoji. That's so disturbing,
it is, It's so weird. So she also received a
second package in the same black postage bag, which contained
a tin of home brand peaches, alongside another ransom style
note which read you want a peach of me now.
On both of these parcels, there was no return center,
(08:24):
and this has when Jemma started to freak out. Now,
obviously Gemma would receive a lot of PR packages, but
she said this one was very different. The sachets weren't
sent in a beautiful PR box. They were just thrown
loosely in a black postage bag with no return address.
It was also alarming because the items themselves were really cheap.
You know, a can of peaches cost what a dollar
(08:45):
or probably like five in this cost of li price. Yeah,
but then each of the packages cost fifteen dollars express
post to send, which was really odd. The only identifying
information was the fact that these parcels were sent from
the Bondi Post Office. I can understand why she was
really concerned about this because the whole emphasis on peach
in basically your ass. It's so sexual of nature, and
(09:06):
you're just like, who the fuck is sending me this.
I actually was trying to work out who Gemma was
because she looked so familiar to me, and I did
a Google and I realized that she used to be
Jade on Neighbors. Do you guys remember that I was.
Speaker 2 (09:18):
At Sonya's sister. Yeah, yeah, she was a personal trainer.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
Yeah. Because I kept seeing her live show pop up
on my newsfeed, so yeah, and I was like, who
is that? I was like, I know that it's someone famous,
but I couldn't piece it together. Well, she goes as
Gemma Peenat on Instagram and she does share a lot
about her life, and as we said, she has gotten
a podcast as well. So on her podcast, she opened
up about her time on Neighbors and she was talking
about how all of the cast members used to receive
(09:44):
quite creepy messages. It was so bad that the production
company involved had to get security to vet their mail. So,
while Gemma was working on Neighbors, one cast member was
sent a condom full of semen with the note make
a baby with me. Oh my god, how does I
get posted? You know?
Speaker 2 (10:01):
It's so disgusting.
Speaker 1 (10:02):
And Jemma also said that there was this creepy YouTube
video that was put up about her character Jade. So
Jade was a personal trainer and someone had taken all
these snippets of her working out on the show and
entitled the video Jade Mitchell's Peach Inactive where so she
was really concerned. She was like, is this this person
who's made this video that's now sending me all this
weird peach. I can see why she was so concerned
(10:24):
about it, because it makes sense. After these first two
packages arrived, Jemma said she was feeling so anxious that
she wasn't able to get some sleep and a lot
of her friends and family were becoming concerned about her.
Let's throw to a grab of just how freaked out
Jemma was by these packages.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
I did freak out because I was like, Okay, someone's
playing a prank on me, or someone's really trying to
freak me out, and if this was their goal, they've succeeded.
And at this point I'm in Adelaide, I'm like, a wait,
I'm away from my kids. This person knows where I live.
I don't know who, and you know, you're imagining all
sorts of things.
Speaker 1 (10:59):
I did not see at all.
Speaker 3 (11:01):
I was anxious. I was entertaining the worst thoughts that
someone was stalking where I live.
Speaker 1 (11:06):
Yeah, the fact it was your home address was really unsettling. Now,
a third package arrived again in a black parcel, and
this time it contained a singular small peach smoothie sugar
scrub bar with another ransom style note which read, we
have a secret and it's making us peachy. Now. This
note was the final straw. Jemma said she was so
(11:29):
stressed out that she had a panic attack in her
hotel room. So the poor thing fainted in her hotel bathroom.
She hit her head. She was all bruised over her
leg from this incident because she was so concerned about
her and her children's safety. And this actually prompted Jemma
and her husband to go to the police. Disappointingly, the
police said there was nothing they could do about it.
(11:50):
Let's throw to what Jemma said.
Speaker 3 (11:52):
I spoke to one of the constables at one point
and I said, please don't let me and my family
slip through the cracks of your broken siss them. You know,
at that point I was desperate because because he was like,
there's nothing I can do.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
It's quite clear how genuinely scared she was at this time,
because she ended up hiring security guards for her meet
and great event at Westfield in Sydney because she was
so concerned that someone was going to rock up and
harm her, so her team were on high alert. Her
husband even spoke about hiring a private investigator to get
to the bottom of these parcels. Well, there was so
(12:26):
much anticipation as well around would another package arrive and
if so, what would it be? And it turned out
to be these random assortment of peach lollies, and it said,
I bet you're getting sick of us now, and she's like, yes,
it's been very expensive, We're about to hire a whole
team of security.
Speaker 3 (12:42):
I know.
Speaker 2 (12:43):
It's so terrible.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
So then finally, this is where the story takes a turn.
The fifth package arrived and it contained a picture of peaches,
but this time it was on a proper postcard, so
it read surprise, it's us and it was a full
on PR package from a sex toy company. The contents
was a new butt plug that the company had just launched.
(13:04):
Let's throw to Gemma's reaction.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
I had such a sense of humor failure when I
opened this package. I was like, oh, surprise, did I
guess it? Sorry? Was I in a game? But I
didn't know I was a part of Yeah, And how
fucking dare you put me through that anguish and anxiety
and fear for my family? Like completely unacceptable.
Speaker 1 (13:26):
So clearly this was a blatant attempt at gorilla marketing
by this sex toy company, and we're choosing not to
name them as we don't want to give them any
free publicity. Now, for those who don't know, gorilla marketing
is an advertising technique which elicits wonder or shock in
order to drive publicity. What do you guys think about
this company using this.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
Form of marketing.
Speaker 1 (13:45):
I usually like gorilla marketing because it's usually done in
a really clever way and it gets a really good
organic reach However, I think that the idea was just
wrong because I mean, the rantsom style letter. They could
have done it in a way that didn't actually scared
the people, could have intrigued them. It's because it's because
the elements were so homemade that it didn't appear to
(14:07):
be from a pr company, like you could have done
it in a way. I mean one, I don't even
understand why you'd almost pretend that it was a ransom note,
like you're just inciting fear and the person receiving. So
it feels like it's some baby boomers who have googled
how to promote a sex toy and they thought, oh, okay,
we've got to get some intrigue, we've got to get
(14:28):
people posting about it.
Speaker 2 (14:30):
But I don't quite understand why.
Speaker 1 (14:31):
Anyone or any influencer would post for free a tin
of fucking crap peaches and some weird but it's sexualized,
and I think the fact that it was to promote
a sex toy, I don't think it's a good juxtaposition
to have fear and a sex toy. A lot. Well,
the whole thing is that this company who sent it,
they portray themselves as being sex positive and all about
(14:53):
female empowerment. But when you look at it, they're using
these inherently sexualized emojis and language. I mean, now that
we know that these packages were sent by a company,
you might read the notes and you might think, oh,
that wording doesn't sound threatening, But these messages were sent
to their home addresses by a company that these influencers
have never worked for, and if you look at the notes,
(15:16):
they're quite sexually threatening. It's clear that these messages were
sent to elicit fear in order to get these women
to post about it on TikTok. They're not going, oh,
look someone sent me a free count of peaches. They're
meant to be posting, fuck, what the hell is this? This?
What is? And then the big revealers, Oh, it's a buttlert.
But the weirdest thing is And we touched up when
we discussed as She Binds a couple of weeks ago.
(15:39):
When you approach a large influencer, even if it is
for a contrad deal, you still have to touch based
with them and say can I send this to you.
You don't just expect people to post for free about
this sort of stuff. It needs to be a connection
that they're happy to make and to I think they
still could have had some fun with the product if
the influencers were on board. Because I've obviously taken this
(16:00):
way too far. It does make me wonder how they
got her address at all. And I do agree with you, Sophie.
I think, particularly if you're expecting an influencer to promote
a butt plug, you need to have a conversation if
they're comfortable to do that. Well, Gemma wasn't the only
influencer who was freaked out by these packages. A number
of others influencers shared on TikTok their concerns over the packages,
(16:23):
so it shows just how threatening these packages came. That
is interesting that it was a widespread feeling, because maybe
you could think, oh, Gemma was scared because she's got
kids and it seemed very targeted towards her, and she
had that YouTube about her bum on neighbors. But the
fact that everyone else was freaked out just shows what
an absolutely fail this marketing campaign was.
Speaker 2 (16:42):
I love the fact that there were five.
Speaker 1 (16:43):
Packages as well, because can you imagine the supposed marketing
team of this company. They're probably like when someone going
to post, because the thing is people were posting about it,
well in a negative way. Well Gemma and their co
host on their podcast, they put it best. They said,
this company tapped into women's darkest fears having a stalker
(17:04):
commenting on your body, and I one hundred percent agree.
I actually went and had a look at this sex
toy company's Instagram account, and their whole marketing ethos is
based on shock factors. So there's videos up of the
business owners dressed up as volvers at Bondai Beach or
in the middle of the city, and they're holding up
signs that say free vibrators, show us your sexy dance.
(17:26):
So it looks like they're just trying to do anything
to get cheap publicity and to drive views and follows.
Speaker 2 (17:31):
That's the thing.
Speaker 1 (17:32):
Over the past couple of years, the stigma around sex
toys has really been lifted, and we do see them
quite a lot on our social media feeds, and I
think that the women were trying to think, what can
we do that's even more shocking that will elicit such
a huge response, because when they were first being marketed,
I think just having anyone speak about a vibrator or
(17:54):
a sex toy was like, oh my god, that's shocking,
and they.
Speaker 2 (17:57):
Just pushed it too far.
Speaker 1 (17:58):
Yeah, and it's weird that they tried to move away
from what we normally see, which is female empowerment. They
were putting the female as a victim in their marketing campaign.
It's really sick. It is weird. But I actually don't
think that these women involved thought that they'd scare the women.
I just think it was just this ill thought out
marketing campaign by people that maybe haven't been in the
(18:18):
industry for that long. It just came across as tacky
and cheap and it was a total fail. This is
a real sign to actually employ a proper PR or
marketing agency because this has just done a reputable damage
for their brother.
Speaker 2 (18:32):
It's a PR disaster.
Speaker 3 (18:34):
It's hilarious how much traction this has actually got.
Speaker 1 (18:37):
We said last week, where there's smoke, there's fire, and
we were right. Taylor Swift hard launched her relationship with
American footballer Travis Kelsey on Sunday night, and did so
in the most iconic way. So Taylor attended the Chiefs
game in Kansas City, which is the team Travis plays for,
and she didn't just sit in the bleachers. She was
in the chief's box, wearing the team colors, and she
(18:59):
sat next to than Travis's mum, Donna. What a statement
now to refresh everyone's memory. Dating rumors were swirling last
week after Travis revealed on his podcast New Heights that
he was interested in Taylor, and he also revealed he
went to the ears to it and tried to give
Taylor his number on a friendship bracelet but fail. There
(19:19):
are videos of Taylor at this game all over TikTok
and her reaction to Travis's touchdown is just so cute.
I am living for the vision that is coming out
from this game. It was so funny. She chest bumped
someone in the box when Travis got the touchdown.
Speaker 2 (19:34):
She was going absolutely wild.
Speaker 1 (19:35):
She seemed to be getting along quite well with the mum,
which was cute. But I also thought, if that's the
first game you've ever gone to this new relationship, it
was quite an out there reaction. I disagree. Of course,
you're gonna be excited. I mean this is a huge
NFL game. I mean think about, for example, when we
sat and watched the Matilda's final. You're not even into soccer,
(19:58):
and you're like, yes, but you've got people will seem
to have their noses out of joint because Taylor Swift
actually goes for the Philadelphia Eagles. Yeah, but you've got
to picture it. If some super hot footballer invited you
to watch his game, even if it was against the
club you supported, and he kicked a goal, you'd be
so excited. Yeah. But I just think it's a little
bit strange because her relationship with Joe Olwen was so
(20:18):
private and this is just so public. But maybe that
was Joe's wishes.
Speaker 2 (20:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (20:23):
Well, there were actually rumors going around Dumi that apparently
she contacted the club and requested that she sit behind
tinted windows.
Speaker 2 (20:32):
So a lot of people are.
Speaker 1 (20:33):
Saying that perhaps she was reacting in the way she
did because she thought that she was actually concealed and
couldn't be seen. I don't think so, because she was
so avert. There's also a video of her walking around
the change rooms next to him. I think that this
is all a bit of a PR stunt today.
Speaker 2 (20:48):
No it's not.
Speaker 1 (20:50):
I love this and I love that she is being
so public with it because we're almost getting this fly
on the wall.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
Look at this relationship.
Speaker 1 (20:58):
We haven't seen anything four years and I think that
we're going to be even more heavily invested in.
Speaker 2 (21:03):
The love songs that are going to come out.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
And I'm not saying that in a bad way that
I think it's a publicity stun because I'm here for
this relationship. I just think it is such an interesting
move to have had a complete pr switch, going from
not talking about someone that you've been with for six years,
then breaking up, and suddenly your relationship with Matt Healey
is so public, your relationship with Travis Kelsey. So I
got to remember that when Taylor went quiet, she went
(21:26):
quiet everywhere. She wasn't releasing new music. It was also
over she read three albums while she was with you
You've Got It, but Drema, she went quiet for that
period of time. And also, if you're Taylor Swift, you're
being followed every moment of your life. This relationship is
already being talked about in the media. I mean, Kelsey's
brothers even talking about it, So I kind of feel
(21:48):
like they went, well, fuck it, let's go out and
we can be seen together. Everyone knows where day and
she's talked about that a lot in her songs. However,
as a society we've really evolved now, and I don't
think that we see women particular in the same way,
and I think that everyone's like, go Taylor instead of
judging all that was quick. They also look really good
together as well. I did laugh because I came across
(22:10):
this video from one of the Gala supporters. So if
you're not familiar with that trend, there's a community of
people that think that Taylor Swift is secretly gay and
that she had a relationship with Carly Kloss. This is
despite Taylor coming out time and time again and denying
it and saying these are my friends. I found the
whole thing really gross though, the way that people were
almost trying to out her sexuality, which she made it
(22:31):
quite clear.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
She didn't want to talk about it.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (22:33):
I didn't really like that either.
Speaker 1 (22:35):
But anyway, this video was quite funny because it was
this woman talking and in the background it was a
big picture of Travis Kelsey and she's like, no, not
this guy, not this football loser. I keep getting fifteen
in my head, which is her song where it's like,
you do things greater than dating the boy on the
football team. But I kind of loved this era for
Taylor Swift because it's just fun I did see someone
(22:56):
label it her wag Era, and I'm like, come on now,
I just I think everyone's so pleased that she's not
dating Matt Healey that everyone's getting around this. Yeah, it
is pretty funny because Taylor's appearance at this Chief game
has totally eclipsed the NFL's announcement that Usher will be
headlining the Super Bowl halftime show. And it's pretty ironic
because Kim Kardashian was actually involved in the Usher announcement,
(23:19):
so she appeared in one of the promo videos on
the phone to Usher saying that he'd gotten the gig.
And it's even more ironic considering that Kim and Kanye
had that big argument with Taylor Swift over the song
Famous and that they leaked that vision on the phone
to Kim. I feel like it's the biggest fuck you
from Taylor give him. Probably like I've got the biggest
NFL story coming out. But surely people don't actually think, Oh,
(23:40):
Taylor's gone to this game just to upstage this announcement. No,
I don't think so. But I feel like swifties will
be reading into the timing of this. I'm just so
excited to hear more about this relationship because I think
he could be the real deal. Well, someone actually wrote
on TikTok, this is going to be true love or
the absolute best motherfucking album. Just as we're recording this,
someone has sent through that the outfit the Travis wore
(24:02):
in the change room with Taylor Swift, it was this
white denim outfit with sort of blue flex.
Speaker 2 (24:07):
They've looked it up and it's called the nineteen eighty
nine paint set. So it seems like.
Speaker 1 (24:13):
This could be a bit of publicity. No, but as
I said, it is a massive pr stunt. Taylor Swift
doesn't just put things out there. She thinks through everything
that she does. Everything is strategic and we will find
out the meaning behind this whole relationship reveal and everything
very soon. But Okay, I don't know if that's one
hundred percent true. As a Swifty, I feel like you're
(24:35):
sounding quite cynical. Could it just be that these two
are really into each other and maybe in the celebrity
world this is the kind of cutesy stuff they do, Like,
I'm really liking this girl, so I'm gonna wear a
set that's a ninety to eighty nine. She clearly gifted
her the Kansas City Merch. Yeah, maybe she's paid. The
favorite thought, well, we're gonna be seeing together, you may
(24:56):
as well be wearing a little easter egg.
Speaker 2 (24:57):
I think you're being very naive.
Speaker 1 (24:59):
And he did come out in an interview before Taylor
appeared at the game saying, well, I've seen her big show,
so she's going to come see mine. So there were clues.
Have the main reasons why I have so much anxiety
going outside and meeting people that knew me from the
internet is because almost every single time I go outside,
I get sexually assaulted. A violent brawl erupted at the
Listen Out Festival over the weekend after a female festival
(25:21):
goer allegedly sexually assaulted TikToker and OnlyFans creator Michaela tester Sophie.
What happened, Well, Mikayla and her pa Alisha were at
the festival went out of nowhere. A woman ran towards
Michaela from behind and slapped her so hard on the
bum that it left a bruised handprint mark. Now, the
woman was with two friends, one female and one male,
(25:45):
who were filming the incident, presumably for social media Now.
This happened in front of hundreds of festival goers, and
Mikayla said she was in complete shock because she didn't
know the group of people. They didn't try and greet
her prior to this or make their existence known to her,
and the attack came from behind and the hit was
so hard that she even checked to see if there
(26:05):
was blood on her pants because she just didn't know
what had gone off. She actually ended up sharing a
photo of the festival goers on her TikTok and put
them on blasts, saying a bbl is not an invitation
for people to put their hands on her. She then
went on to share more details about the alleged assault,
saying that after it happened, she didn't know if the
woman was a fan, so she said, in her nicest voice,
(26:26):
please can you never scare me like that again, and
then reiterated, please don't ever touch me again. This is
where things really turned because the woman started to get
really aggressive and said that it was a compliment and that's.
Speaker 2 (26:37):
How she should take it.
Speaker 1 (26:39):
And according to Mikayla, the woman appeared to be under
the influence of drugs and alcohol and she kept trying
to abuse her, so Mikayla thought she would just walk
off and leave it. However, the heckling started to get
worse and the male friend started to get involved and
said she has a BBL and doesn't want people to
touch it. What the fuck that bitch needs to learn
(26:59):
how to take could compliment. So this was the final straw.
Her pa Alisha turned around and got involved and they
told the group that this is a sexual assault and
ask them why they're filming this incident on their phones now.
The woman allegedly then got in Michayla's face and pushed her,
and this is where things got out of control because
Michayla pushed her back, and then Michaela said that her
(27:22):
pa Alisha acted like an animal, inferring that things really
got physical. So Michayla had a bruised jaw and she
seemed quite shaken by the incident. This is so disturbing
that people think because a woman has a BBL that
they have any right to touch her and just treat
her like a piece of meat or a product, because
she obviously has a big following on OnlyFans and social media,
(27:44):
and there is this parasocial relationship that people have between her,
but the fact that they think it's okay to go
do this is very disturbing. Well, she said it's getting
to the point that she's too anxious to leave her
house because anytime she leaves her house, she says, she
gets sexually assaulted.
Speaker 2 (27:58):
She said that it's.
Speaker 1 (27:59):
Happening a lot in daylight as well. She'll be on
the street or in a nightclub or even when she's
on holidays, so it's a situation that's becoming increasingly dangerous
for her. Well, Abby Chatfield she spoke about it a
few months ago and said that when she goes out,
women will think it's okay to come up and slap
her on the ars and touch her. So it's interesting
to analyze why some women see these actions as okay.
Speaker 2 (28:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (28:21):
Well, I remember going out when we were in our
twenties and men would come up and just slap you
on the ars, and you were meant to take that
as a complete compliment, and if you ever said anything back.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
It was like, oh, what the fuck.
Speaker 1 (28:31):
Yeah. I don't think it's a good enough argument to say, oh,
it doesn't matter because a woman did it, That doesn't
make a single difference at all. It's an unwanted physical
touch by a stranger, and it's no less intimidating or
menacing if it's a man or a woman. Well that's
all we've got time for today. Thanks for joining us
