Speaker 1 (00:03):
On today's show, Sky Wheatley denies she used deceptive techniques
to secure her gold host mansion. The Sydney influencer has
been left devastated after she was mistaken for being pregnant
at a brand event and Tammy Hembrose might drop moment.
Hello and welcome to Outspoken. It's your dose of the
hottest influencer and pop culture news twice a week. I'm
(00:24):
Kate Torbert, and there's a bit of tension in the
room because the last time I saw you, Amy, you
actually stormed off because you think I'm being a bit
of a bitch about your wedding planning prose. You have
been to be honest, and I didn't storm off. I
just decided to leave the cafe because abruptly, I just
had enough of the nagging because I'm a very You
guys keep calling me the anti bride, and I feel
(00:47):
like I've been working so hard the last couple of
weeks to get my invites finally to the stage where
they can be printed, and then on Saturday, you guys
kindly came down as I tried on my wedding.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
Dress so it would be fitted for the first time.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
I do think we need to get the listener's opinions
on this one, because your wedding is in less than
twelve weeks and you don't have the invites out, you
haven't booked the DJ, you haven't booked your cake, you
haven't got bridesmaids dresses or suits. And yes, you did
get your wedding dress altered.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
Oh, I don't want to have round two here.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
It sounds like the world's worst wedding the way you're
describing it, but it's actually in a really nice winery
and I'm actually meeting with the celebrants soon who I'm
so excited about. Her name's Darinda Haffner, and she is
just going to be the best.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
Like I'm so excited.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
A family friend recently went to a wedding with Durinda
Haffner and she said it was the best wedding she's
ever been to because it was so personal and a
real performance. And also the cake thing I've already organized.
I'm having ice cream vans come, but you give everyone dessert.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
The cake's more of a prop. There were some jokes.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
Going around that maybe you're gonna ask me last minute,
but I'm going to put a taxi who's made that
joke that's.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
Private in your partner.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
No, it wasn't him. I think you're making the conscious
effort amy to select suppliers that we haven't used because
you want it to be a bit more individual.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
And you have found this epic.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Taylor, who I think that she's got you in the
sense of she knows it you need it done instantly.
So she was very direct on Google and she had
eighty five star reviews, so I knew she was going
to be good. But when we rocked up, I was
a bit like, oh gosh, you guys are going to
judge because it was this sort of poky little shop
and we walked in and she just said to me,
put this put the dress on. Now. It was like
a revolving door as well, because she's trying to measure
(02:30):
you for your wedding dress and there's people coming in
for gene alterations and sleeve removals. It reminded me of
that episode of Seinfeld with the soup Nazi when suddenly
this guy is just serving soup in the neighborhood and
everyone's there coming in and she was literally like that
she was amazing.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
It's because she's this creative genius.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
You have to just directly tell them what you want
and then move along. Yeah, don't want to take up
too much of their time. Yeah, bread, I mean her
bedside manner wasn't what I experienced my dressmaker, because I
had a very individual experience. I went to the lady's house,
and you know, she told me how beautiful the dress was.
But this woman, she wasn't full of commentary.
Speaker 2 (03:09):
Was just like, what else do you want to do?
I need a bit of a softer approach.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
I'm getting my dress in December, and I think I
will be going to your lady Kate, because I like abe.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
To smoke blown up my ass.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
I like to be told that the dress looks nice.
And I think she's going to do an amazing job
though like she just seemed to know her shit.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
I liked it.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
I don't want to partake in all this fakery.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
I liked it. Get in, get out, get your dressed
done well.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
I've had a stressful week too, because my partner is
finally turning thirty. I've been counting down the days, making
me feel so old because I met him what when
he was twenty two? And I say that because your
fiance used to be my internal work.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
So he's four and a half years younger than me,
and I have just been wanting him to be in
the same sort of demographic as me. So for his birthday,
we're going away to Habra and we've booked this really
nice place. I'm really excited for that, but it's a
bit stressful because his actual birthday is on a Monday,
so I'm trying to think of ways to make it
special for him. He's on this restrictive diet at the moment,
(04:05):
so he has to stick to a fod MAP diet.
He's eight weeks in and he has another six weeks
to go, so he's going to have to eat really
plain food for his birthday. And because it's obviously a
milestone birthday, I am trying to locate someone who does
fod MAP cake. So what is a fod MAP cake.
Is it the flour or the sugar. It needs to
be fod MAP flour, it needs to be lactose free milk.
(04:27):
I mean, I could potentially make one, but I would
love to actually get one that tastes good and looks
him to want me to do one. So I feel
like Sara's David probably have a recipe.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
For free fun for it.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
There's actually more people out there who are sticking to
these fod map diets. And you think last time I
spoke about this on the podcast, I was inundated by
people who said that they've never felt so seen because
I think it's one of those restrictive diets that you
don't normally hear about. We're doing a little house tourn
now thumbs's video up and comment below if you want
us to do a loft. Sky Wheatly's new home renovation
(05:02):
series on YouTube seems.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
To have ruffled some feathers.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
The Gold Coast influencer has been forced to deny allegations
she used deceptive techniques to secure.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
Her home at a lower price.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
Before we get into it, Kate, can you give us
some background on this house because it is pretty epic.
It definitely isn't your typical family home. So Sky and
her partner Locky purchased their home back in August twenty nineteen,
which was a golden time to be looking in the
housing market, and she described the house at the time
as an abandoned mansion that looked haunted. And over the
(05:34):
last four years, Sky has been documenting the restoration process,
and it's clear it has been a lot of work.
There's been lots of YouTube videos of her in fast
forward working on the house, which probably could have been
edited a little bit. I feel like this house renovation
has been going forever. Yeah, I be seen how big
the house. It's going to take forever to get well.
Her partner, Lockie, actually runs a shop fitting business, so
(05:56):
he is an expert in the field and I think
he has been leading a lot of the renovation himself.
So four years on, they have completed the upstairs of
their home and the pool area, and recently they started
documenting phase two of the downstairs renovations on Instagram and YouTube.
So that's why it's back in the news as per se.
And there has always been a lot of interest about
this home because I think it's been sparked from a
(06:19):
number of factors. So there really was this element back
in twenty nineteen that people were quite shocked that an
influencer could afford a home like this because it really
is an old school mansion, and there was also interest
in the renovation process because it's just such a stunning
Spanish style home.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
Do you think it's.
Speaker 1 (06:37):
Also because a lot of people who would watch Sky
Wheatley perhaps live in Sydney and Melbourne, where you just
couldn't get anything like that for under what like sixteen
million dollars, whereas she's on the Gold Coast and housing
is a little bit more affordable, or definitely was before COVID.
Now it appears not everyone is happy about Sky's good fortunes.
An anonymous account wrote under a post about a recent
(06:58):
renovation update this, they wrote, deal blows my mind how
you got that house. Myself and three others put higher
offers with better conditions, but those Asian agents wouldn't take
anything to the owner, and the real estate then closed
down after your sale.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
Interesting now.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
Sky did respond in the comment section, but her message
was a little confusing. She wrote, I know so crazy. Honestly,
it was meant to be like my dad did his
brickwork as an apprentice, and it was my grandparent's best
friend's house. It was always going to be ours, and
the universe wrote it in the sand. They couldn't take
anything to the owners as we had already signed the
deal first in best dressed I guess Locke was straight
(07:37):
onto it. We were so upset about not getting houses
before this one, and I kept saying to Locke, don't worry, babe,
whatever is meant to be will be. We are insanely
lucky to have gotten this house. I want to cry.
I was pretty confused about the connection to the best
friend's house and the grandparents in the brick lang. I
think she was trying to be sarcastic and make a
joke about why she got the house, because she has
(07:58):
later gone into more detail on Tip tok on how
she actually got it. Meanwhile, the anonymous poster has replied saying,
or a little bit of corruption and fraud, but your
story sounds better. Sky wrote back, Haha, babes, I've never
even used a Pokey machine. You think I'm smart enough
to be a fraud pop off. I'm not sure why
she has referenced pokey machines in relation to corruption and fraud.
(08:20):
Do we think that this unhappy anonymous person could have
something to do with the legal case that Lockie is
currently going through with his shop fitting business. I think
it's someone who's jealous and lashing out that they didn't
get this house. I mean it looks incredible. Oh, it's
on nearly a hectare of land as well. Now, as
I mentioned, Sky did take to TikTok to address the comment,
(08:40):
and she has denied any corruption or fraud and said
that they just happened to be in the right place
at the right time. So she explained that Lockie came
across the house just as it was uploaded to real
estate dot Com and he immediately contacted the agent for
a private walkthrough, and apparently another couple did the same thing.
So originally Sky and Lowe he offered nine hundred thousand
(09:01):
and then had to up it to nine hundred and
seventy five thousand to seal the deal. As someone who
is currently looking for a house, this really hurts my
soul to think that you could have a property of
this size for under a million dollars. I understand they
obviously have invested a lot more money into the renovations,
but I think that this is why they're getting a
bit of pushback from people, because they're comparing what you
(09:23):
can get now for nine hundred and seventy five thousand
and thinking fuck I missed out on this wonderful opportunity.
And also the tone of the video, it was like,
oh yeah, so I think we're going to put in
a tennis court here just right near the pool, and
then we're going to put in a gym, and it's
going to be we're.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
Gonna have a seller.
Speaker 1 (09:38):
And it was just things that people sitting at home
would just be like, oh.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
Fuck off. My favorite part of the whole tour was
the fact.
Speaker 1 (09:45):
That the kids kept interrupting them the whole time. It
was really hard to watch at the start until they
found this bubble gun randomly in a pantry, and then
they just the kids were lost in the backyard. They
had no idea that would be so stressful having that
big of a house, and like where if I kids
wanted off to.
Speaker 2 (10:01):
It was just amazing how unedited it was.
Speaker 1 (10:03):
Because there was another section near the end where Lockie
had started filming Sky's reaction to the nearly renovated upstairs bit,
and then all of a sudden it comes back on
and Sky's complaining that Lockie's missed out her ending sentence,
and He's like, come on, babe, just say it again.
Just say it again.
Speaker 2 (10:18):
You think, why wouldn't you cut that out?
Speaker 3 (10:21):
Please tell me you haven't like stopped I just stopped
it then because I thought you're finished, say and it
will be demolition time.
Speaker 2 (10:28):
Just keep rolling, babe, I've been rolling the whole time,
and it will be demolition day, please.
Speaker 1 (10:33):
And then after this it will be demolition day. So
let's get into it. I think that's why everyone does
still follow and love Sky because we've done a whole
series on all her controversies and she still comes out
on top. It was like in the TikTok video, she
made this joke about that she must have been sucking
a lot of dicks to get the house.
Speaker 2 (10:52):
Let's do what she said. Truth be told, Dick, that's
how we got the house. I sucked her, Dick, It's true.
Speaker 4 (11:03):
I'm joking. That's what she wants me to say.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
Mike, what do you want from me? I didn't get
it well.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
I do think that the fact that the house was
very run down and abandoned really helped in Locke and
Sky's favor. So Sky explained that the house used to
be owned by a man who lived overseas and he
bought the house because he wanted to send his kids
to a boarding school close by, but that never happened,
so they ended up selling it after had been sitting
(11:29):
there unused for six years and it seems like the
real estate agent really jumped the gun with the sale
because they accepted Sky and Lockey's offer before having the
open inspection. So there is this vlog where Sky and
Lockey arrive at the open inspection and they're very smug
because ten to fifteen couples have arrived and they already
know that they've signed the contract and got the house.
(11:51):
And Sky was saying how grateful she was because if
they hadn't signed the contract, there would have been so
much more competition and it would have been so much
more expensive. They still open it though, if they'd already signed, well,
they said that they were going to tell people the
open inspection that it had already been under contract. That's
why pet Peeve though, wasting your time checking out a
house that has already been secured. That's happened a few
(12:12):
times for me, and I feel like it's always and
I feel like there's always these psychological games when you
are looking at a house. I know our tactic is
we try and bad mouth all these things in the house.
I won't really like it, like, oh, well, look at
the cracks in the.
Speaker 2 (12:25):
Wall, or well.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
Sky actually said there was a bit of that going
on at the open inspection. Let's throw to what she said.
Speaker 4 (12:31):
He was like, are you in the market? Rah aram.
We were just talking and we were like, yeah, yeah
we are, and he's like.
Speaker 1 (12:36):
Oh, there's a better house down the road, just like
full putting the house down, trying to turn us off it.
Speaker 4 (12:43):
And then he goes just before we're about to walk off,
and then the conversation tell them he said, apparently a
child got killed in that, and then he goes on
about how all all the rumors are just unbelievable. Oh well, god,
bet he put an offer in on a house. So yeah,
we literally saw him filling out of the paperwork.
Speaker 1 (13:06):
So I think this story is a part of the
reason that there has been so much speculation around how
sky Unlockey managed to get the house so cheap, because
this story has taken on a life of its own,
and people just now take this as verbatim and they're like, oh,
they got it really cheap because someone was killed in
the house. Because she kept promoting it as I've purchased
(13:27):
a haunted mansion. That was the whole premise of getting
people in and interested in her videos. Yeah, now I
have done some research into just how much Sky's house
has gone up in value, and it's quite shocking, so
I couldn't find exact insights into her address. However, the
medium suburb price for a four bedroom house in her
area is one point six million dollars, and you can
(13:51):
just imagine how much more her house must be worth
considering that they've put so much into renovations. Can't get

Speaker 1 (14:45):
I'm going to pass the phone to someone who is
low key obsessed with being a wag. Australian fashion brand
White Fox Boutique has splashed its cash holding an EPI
tenth birthday bash in Los Angeles now. Influencers from across
the US, UK and Australia were flown in to celebrate
(15:08):
the milestone birthday and of course bump up sales. I
can't believe that White Fox Boutique is ten years old already. Yeah,
it really surprised me that they've hit this milestone, but
I suppose it makes sense when you look back at
the amount of active where drops at Sarah's Day has had. Well,
They've put so much of their success down to their
influencer partnerships as well, and you think how big social
media has been in the last ten years. They came
(15:30):
in at such a good time. My time is absolutely
flying though. You think about Instagram that's been around for
ten plus years too now, and you can see why
they attract so many big influences because they put a
lot of time and energy into these influencer trips and
this trip was epic. So the influencers were decked out
in airport ready White Fox branded matching track suits, so
(15:50):
they thought of every possible photo op that would be
happening now. Once the influencers arrived in LA they were
then shipped off to White Fox's styling suite to select
their outfits for the party. There was branding across everything
in this styling suite, so they had their branding on cupcakes,
they also had it on the coffees, and they also
had a free tattoo pop up stall. This seems to
(16:12):
be all the rage for them at the moment. They
seem to be having these fine line tattoos at every
single event that they hold. How many tattoos can these
influences continue to get. You look at them and it's
like the small Chili, then there's the White Fox one.
They're all pretty much the same. There is so much
marketing hype around this birthday at the moment because there
are huge billboards all over the country and they're also
(16:34):
running competition, so anytime a customer sees a billboard, they
basically have to send it in tag White Fox Boutique
and they're giving away one hundred dollars daily vouches for
a month, So they're clearly using this as a huge
branding exercise, or has the billboards not been that successful
and they're like, fuck, we need to invent some kind
of social media competition to get our value. It's hard
(16:56):
to measure the success of a billboard, so I suppose
this competition is a part of that. I wonder if
they're trying to pump out this good pr for the
company because recently there's been a lot of bad press
around turnaround times with shipping. That is a good point.
But that being said, I don't think I've ever spotted
more teenagers wearing white fox boutigue than ever before. Every
(17:17):
time I go for a walk down at the beach
or I go to the shopping center, they're always wearing
their big hoodies. Yeah, it's a gens uniform. You've got
the big baggy jeans and the big baggy white foody.
There were some massive names at this party in Los Angeles,
so on a local front, Tammy Hembro, m Davies, Cardi Milan,
and Talia Scanes were all their front and center in
(17:38):
all of their marketing. There were also heaps of Love
Island UK contestants.
Speaker 2 (17:42):
I was really excited to see.
Speaker 1 (17:44):
Millie Core and Chloe Burrows there, and there was also
Anastasia Kingsnor.
Speaker 2 (17:48):
Oh yeah, I saw Anaessa there.
Speaker 1 (17:49):
I wonder if someone like Sarah's Day got an invite
but just said I actually can't come.
Speaker 2 (17:54):
She was in Fiji, wasn't she?
Speaker 1 (17:56):
Or she was? She never really attends these sort of events.
Some other big name influencers there were Madison Beer and
Kristen Quinn and they also had Kylie Jenner's ex best
friend Jordan Wood there as well as Kroshelle from selling Sunset.
So props to the social media manager that was working
on this event because they put together this epic video
where they passed the microphone around to all of these
(18:17):
A grade influencers and they had to say who was
more likely to do something at the event. Yeah. So
in most cases, this game is all about ratting someone
out for something that they don't particularly want to be
public knowledge.
Speaker 2 (18:30):
And this is a bit of an old trend though. Yeah,
but I mean it went off.
Speaker 1 (18:34):
So Tammy kicked it off by revealing that Lola Thompson
and h have split.
Speaker 2 (18:38):
So if you don't know who they are.
Speaker 1 (18:40):
H is a British rapper and when he was on
his Australian tour he met Lola, who's an Aussie model.
Here's how Tammy made the breakup announcement back to.
Speaker 4 (18:51):
Someone that.
Speaker 1 (18:53):
Just broke up with their boyfriend but should have never
actually had a boyfriend. In the first blow, after Tammy
dropped that bomb, m Davies threw Tammy under the bus,
saying this and passing the mic to someone who got
their boyfriend's name tattooed on them after dating them for
two weeks. Now. She didn't specify which boyfriend it was,
(19:16):
but there is growing speculation it is her new boyfriend
Matt Sakowski. Did you guys say they've gone instagram afe
on the weekend for the very cute photo. Yeah, he
posted a whole carousel of photos of him and Tammy,
which yeah, was very cute. Now, for the record, over
the years, Tammy has spoken about sixteen tattoos that she has,
with no mention of one for a prior boyfriend, so
(19:38):
I think that this could have some legs.
Speaker 2 (19:40):
Well, it wouldn't be.
Speaker 1 (19:41):
That much of an issue if she got Matt tattooed
on her because her last boyfriend was called Matt.
Speaker 2 (19:46):
That's a good point.
Speaker 1 (19:47):
Let's go through some of the tattoos she had, because
I didn't actually realize she had so many. So she
has three tattoos that are dedicated to her children. She
also has a really large rose on her side, a
palm tree on her arm, a dragon on her a
butterfly tattoo on her arm, a little star behind her ear,
as well as a tiny heart on her wrist, and
in twenty eighteen she got angel wings tattooed on the
(20:09):
back of her neck to represent her breakup with Rhys Hawkins.
She also has a bunch of sayings tattooed on her.
One says be Still, another one says l y b L,
which stands for live your best life, and also randomly
the word baby on her I understand that people love tattoos,
but far I couldn't even think of eighteen things to
(20:29):
get tattooed on me. I've alone all these sayings, so
it's not that surprising if she.
Speaker 2 (20:33):
Does actually just have Matt on her.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
Yeah, it's not like totally out of the ordinary for her.
Speaker 2 (20:38):
To get a tattoo.
Speaker 1 (20:39):
I suppose it is quite a big move, though, to
get a tattoo of someone after two weeks when she
hasn't got them for her two previous fiances. I hardly
think it's for Matt Sukowski. I think it would be
for Matt Paul considering that they were engaged and have
a baby together, and it's killing two birds with one stone. Well,
during this game, Tammy also threw Kati Milan under the bus.
She said she was going to pass the microphone onto
(21:00):
someone who was low key obsessed with being a wag. Now,
this is, of course, in reference to Cartia dating Chelsea
soccer player Ben Chilwell.
Speaker 2 (21:07):
I was shocked when she said this one.
Speaker 1 (21:09):
This is why the video was so good because everyone
was really going there. I wonder if this has caused
any issues behind the scenes, because, let's be honest, a
lot of them were on it at the time. Oh
that's why so much was being said, the amount of
alcohol in that room. Yeah, and they've probably all watched
it back on the socials and being like bitch. Well,
the drama didn't end there for Tammy because during the celebrations,
(21:31):
her ex boyfriend Tiger performed on stage.
Speaker 2 (21:34):
I totally forgot that.
Speaker 1 (21:35):
This even happened because I knew there's always been some
beef between Tammy and Kylie.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
Jenner and all the Wolf name and all of that,
but yeah, it was all stemming from Tiger, wasn't it. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (21:44):
So they started dating in twenty nineteen, and that was
two years after Kylie Jenner dated him, and the rumors
really started because they were supposedly spotted kissing at the
Rolling Loud festival in Sydney, and then a couple of
weeks later she was seen following him around during his
Australian tour and hanging out with him backstage. And what
(22:05):
adds to this awkwardness is the Tiger wrote a song
about Tammy at the end of twenty nineteen called Wet
White God. It doesn't sound very nice. Yeah, I would
have loved to know if he played this song at
the White Fox party surely well. On Tammy's podcast Hanging
with the Hambro she confirmed that this song was about her,
which I mean, you could hardly deny it considering it
(22:25):
has her name actually in the song's lyrics. So for
those who haven't heard it, it is pretty x rated.
It is about a sexual encounter with a woman called Tammy.
Speaker 2 (22:35):
Hardly cryptic. Yeah, I'm going to throw to you amy
to lyrics. I'm putting you under the bus now.
Speaker 1 (22:40):
Because I just know all of these off by hors
have a Okay, well, it says, shake that ass, you
are bop, make it go, don't stop slurp me up
outside of in and out parking lot, Go Tammy, go Tammy,
keep dancing.
Speaker 2 (22:53):
Keep dancing.
Speaker 1 (22:54):
You nasty, you nasty, No pannies, no petties, I mean
obviously not really giving it. You know, well, it does
justice it might deserve. And then it says get a
wet white that'll come in handy, and that pussy hit
bitch you deserve a grabby.
Speaker 2 (23:07):
We could be happy with that.
Speaker 1 (23:08):
We could have included an upsot of it, but we
don't want to get done for copyright. What a romantic
song that you have played at your wedding. Hey, oh well,
I actually feel terrible for Tammy because that's a really
quite a disgusting.
Speaker 2 (23:19):
Thort about about you.
Speaker 1 (23:20):
She did come out on her podcast and say that
the lyrics had been totally blown out of proportion, but
she did hear the song before it came out and
gave her approval.
Speaker 2 (23:29):
Like Taylor's rifted guy.
Speaker 3 (23:33):
Who says that to someone like seriously.
Speaker 2 (23:36):
It's twenty twenty three, a.
Speaker 1 (23:38):
Sydney influencer who goes by the handle Eloise Fit has
called out a worker following an upsetting incident at a
recent brand event. Now, for those who haven't heard of
Eloise before, she has built a following by sharing about
her health and fitness journey over the past four years. Now.
During her first year at the gym, she lost thirty
kilos and since then is an active gym goer who
(24:01):
passionately shares about self love and empowerment.
Speaker 2 (24:04):
She also speaks.
Speaker 1 (24:05):
Very openly about the changes that she's experienced to her
body since losing thirty kilos, and she has said that
as a result of that weight loss, she has a
lot of loose, overhanging skin in the lower parts of
her torso and she said it's something that she's accepted
and it is really a part of this self love
journey that she's been on. Yeah, and she did go
viral last year after she slammed the use of the
(24:26):
word brave to describe herself at the gym. So one
night she received this DM from a fellow gym goer
who said, oh, it's so brave to see you going
to the gym, And she of course called this out
and said, why is it brave of me to go
to the gym? I enjoy going to the gym just
like everyone else. And this is something that I really
(24:47):
love about her platform. I only discovered her through this
incident and she just seems so positive but also isn't
afraid at the same time to call out this sort
of dickhead behavior. Well, on Wednesday night, Eloise was invited
to an influencer event and she told her followers she
was excited because she doesn't get invited to that many
events because content creation isn't her full time job. And
(25:09):
she said she decided to wear a tight dress from
Beginning Boutique and added some spank so.
Speaker 2 (25:13):
She could feel extra cute.
Speaker 1 (25:14):
So is it a Beginning Boutique event considering she was
wearing the brand? No, she has specifically chosen not to
name the brand, but went on to say that the
event was for a brand she had purchased from for
years and a brand that she really loves.
Speaker 4 (25:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (25:28):
So, Elouise explained on TikTok that she and a friend
were at the event for twenty minutes when a worker
came up to them with a naughty or nice sticker.
Now this is where things took a turn. Let's throw
to what Eloise said.
Speaker 3 (25:40):
Then she touches my stomach, like, puts a full hand
onto my stomach and says, what about a sticker for
this little one, gesturing to my stomach while her hand
was touching my stomach. So she was obviously referring to
the baby that I have, because she was saying that
(26:00):
I was pregnant, and she put a sticker on my
stomach that she was touching, even though the first time
I've ever met her to my baby, which, by the way,
I'm not pregnant.
Speaker 1 (26:12):
Now. Eloise was in shock when this happened, and she
told her followers that she chose to just walk away,
and her reasoning was she was at a work event
and she was representing herself and didn't want to come
across as rude. Geez, she did well to hold back.
I would have been absolutely fuming. I think I would
have said something quite rude. Well, things get worse because
later in the night, the worker came back because someone
(26:32):
had given her the heads up that Eloise was upset,
so she proceeded to come over to Eloise and say,
I'm sorry. This is the second time this has happened
to me, so I should probably stop doing that.
Speaker 2 (26:42):
Hey, oh my god.
Speaker 1 (26:44):
Oh like as if that's meant to make someone feel better. Yeah,
isn't it just a general rule that even if you
think someone is pregnant, just to not comment on them,
and also to physically put your hands on someone that
you don't know. I have heard quite a few pregnant
women speaking on podcasts saying that they feel really uncomfortable
because for some reason, people see pregnant women as this
(27:07):
opportunity that they can touch them, and it's just, you know,
their right to touch their pregnant belly. The crazy thing
is this is an influencer event, so you would assume
the staff working at it would know who each of
the influencers actually are and would know if she was
pregnant or not. It is appalling. I do wonder if
this staff member ended up getting fired. Yeah, it's definitely
(27:28):
not a good look for the brand. I do feel
a bit for Beginning boutique, though, because it's unfortunate that
she was wearing their brand of dress, because she had
posted a video saying I love my dress from the
beginning boutique, and generally influencers do wear the brand to
a branded event. Yeah, but I do think it's not
really a reflection on the brand. I feel like it's
just a complete fuck up from this particularly, I get it,
(27:50):
but it wasn't even a beginning boutique event. We don't
know what the brand is. It wouldn't be that hard
to find out what the event was because other influencers
would have gone there and tagged Well, it's clear that
La doesn't want the brand named because she clearly doesn't
think that that worker reflects what the brand thinks either.
Speaker 2 (28:07):
It just shows how.
Speaker 1 (28:07):
Important it is for an event manager to brief everyone
working at the event, particularly when you're dealing with influencers,
because you can have someone there that has a million followers,
but someone who isn't a part of the algorithm that
the content might be served to wouldn't.
Speaker 2 (28:20):
Have a clue whoever.
Speaker 1 (28:21):
But it's just common courtesy. Like even if I see
someone who I know is probably pregnant, I still don't
say anything unless they bring it up home. I remember
having a conversation with someone that was like eight to
nine months pregnant. I just still didn't say anything until
they said it themselves. Well, that's what Eloise said. She said,
this is your sign. Never ask someone if they're pregnant, ever,
even if the baby is fucking crowning. Secondly, speak up
(28:43):
and it is a really good reminder to just not
assume things about people. Well, I think that is all
we have time for today. Thank you so much for
