The assassination of Charlie Kirk has left America reeling, confronting us with profound questions about our political discourse and shared humanity. At just 31 years old, Kirk—founder of Turning Points USA, husband, and father of two young children—was gunned down while doing what he dedicated his life to: engaging with college students and fellow Americans in open dialogue.

Kirk often said, "When we stop talking, that's when violence can occur"—a statement that carries devastating weight in the wake of his death. The tragedy represents not just the loss of a conservative voice, but an attack on the fundamental American principle that we battle with ideas, not bullets. In his final days, Kirk was embodying precisely what our polarized nation needs: willingness to engage with those who disagree.

The response to Kirk's death reveals both hopeful unity and troubling division. Political figures from Bernie Sanders to Cenk Uygur condemned the violence without reservation. Uygur, despite past clashes with Kirk, powerfully stated that violence represents "a cowardly form of surrender" and the "opposite of being progressive." Yet alongside these voices of reason, disturbing celebrations of Kirk's death emerged online, demonstrating how political dehumanization has poisoned our discourse.

Kirk's own words about NFL quarterback Lamar Jackson now resonate with particular poignancy: "You could be a Democrat, you could be on the left, I don't care. Jesus is honestly the most important thing." In a final recorded message that now serves as his testimony, Kirk emphasized that knowing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior matters infinitely more than political affiliation.

As we navigate this national tragedy, we must honor Kirk's legacy by rejecting violence, embracing dialogue, and remembering that beneath our political differences, we remain fellow Americans bound by more common ground than division. How will you contribute to healing our divided nation?

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello everyone.
I'm terribly sad the last fewdays and I'm sorry if anyone
wanted to hear my voice aboutthis sooner, but I and a husband
, a son, friend to many.
His life has been taken from usby an assassin's bullet in the

(00:37):
state of Utah as he was tryingto engage with college students,
voters, his fellow Americansthat he often disagreed with.
He tried to have public debate.
He said on several times whenwe stop talking, that's when
violence can occur.
And sadly, charlie Clark losthis life for just using his

(01:01):
voice.
And I want to read you a verse.
This will be our verse of theday.
I'm not going to have mypodcast as formalized as I
normally do.
I'm not going to read theApostles Creed or the Lord's
Prayer.
I just want to talk about theseissues, talk from the heart,

(01:21):
tell you what Charlie Kirk meantto me, meant to many Americans
and Christians, and discuss thehorrible situation.
If you have any children nearby, I would suggest listening to
this podcast at over time.
Put it on some headphones.
I'm going to try my best tocontain myself, but I might have

(01:45):
to talk about some things thatare hard to deal with.
I want to read you guys a versethat I read my Bible study at
church on Wednesday right afterI saw the gruesome murder of our
brother in Christ, charlie Kirk, for I am convinced that

(02:05):
neither death nor life, neitherangels nor demons, nor the
present nor the future, nor anypowers, nor life, nor death, nor
anything else in all creationwill be able to separate us from
the love of God that is inChrist Jesus, our Lord.

(02:27):
Amen.
Charlie Kirk, right now, as wespeak, is with God.
He is in heaven with the Lordof Lords and King of Kings that
he served, and I'm heartbroken.
He was 31 years old, one son,one daughter all under the age

(02:51):
of five, I believe and aheartbroken wife and mother, and
the country mourns his loss.
Well, the good part of thecountry mourns his loss, at
least.
I want to talk to Sir CharlieKirk.

(03:11):
He would go around collegecampuses and try to debate
people, try to get them tochange their minds on many
things, many important thingslike abortion, transgenderism,
socialism.
Now, many people will probablystay away from Charlie Kirk
because he was political.
He was very much like me in thesense that he was not afraid to

(03:35):
use politics as well asreligion, and he did it in the
best way possible and he did itin the best way possible and he
spoke with love and kindness.
Did he say some things that Idisagree with?

(03:55):
Yeah, did he say some thingsthat I wish maybe he should have
rephrased or something?
Yeah, but no one should die forhaving a different opinion than
you, even if that opinionsometimes goes into bigotry.
I don't believe we should killbigots.
I believe we should convertthem.
But Charlie Kirk was not abigot, he was not a white

(04:16):
supremacist, he was not a Naziand he was not a fascist.
And I'm sick and tired.
I've been called those names.
I was called those names.
Today, online, I have seenpeople say that with their own
mouths, our fellow Americanscall Christians, conservatives,
nazis and fascists, formingquote-unquote anti-fascist

(04:41):
groups.
Did it shock me when ithappened?
Yes, but we have seen this timeand time again from the far,
far left, radicalized violence, and I agree 100% that there is
radicalized violence on theright and evil on the right, and

(05:03):
I don't want to say I don'twant to get into a contest of
who is more violent than who,but I do want to say this um, I
believe that the democrat partyhas been influenced very heavily
, but not fully, by demonicspirits, by satan himself, by

(05:24):
demonic spirits, by Satanhimself.
Now, if my dad's listening, itwould shock him, but if he was
actually listening, listening tome, he would realize that I
never disagreed with the factthat he had a foothold within
the party.
You look at the party'splatform of transgenderism, of

(05:45):
transforming children into agender or sex that they do not
belong to, harming andmutilating their bodies and
their minds, killing unbornbabies all the way up to the
moment of birth, pushing forthese things that will hurt our
country.
Now are there democrats thatbelieve in these policies, that

(06:07):
um believe that democratic partyis better than the republican
party for america, that love god, that are, even if they're not
christian or they don't love god, that aren't demonically
influenced?
Yes, there's a ton of them, andI'm convinced there are more
democrats like that, moredemocrat voters that are like
that, that are good than are bad.

(06:28):
I know a lady.
I'm not saying that she's aDemocrat, but she doesn't vote
the same way I do.
We go to church together.
I sit pretty close to her andshe's always nice to me.
She's always cordial.
She knows I'm a Republican andI know that she doesn't like
Donald Trump.
I've never brought up politicsto her because when I see her

(06:49):
worship, when I see her raiseher hands, I do see a love for
God.
And when she talks to me, shetalks to me like I'm a human
being.
So guess what?
I talk to her like she's ahuman being, like she's my
sister in Christ, because she is, and we might vote for a
different party, we might have adifferent perspective, but

(07:11):
she's my fellow American andshe's my sister in Christ.
We go to the same church people.
We sit next to each other.
So that's why I'm saying do not.
I'm not at all calling allDemocrats demonicly influenced.
I'm not calling all Democratvoters evil and I'm not calling
all Democrat politicians evil, because that would be wrong.

(07:32):
And that is part of the reasonwhy Charlie Kirk is dead today.
It is people using rhetoric thatis overcharged, that is,
misconceptions, and peoplepropagating misconceptions and
false beliefs on someone else isgetting people killed and it
got charlie kirk killed.

(07:53):
The assassin who, whose name Iwill not mention, has been
turned in.
His dad basically forced him toturn himself in and his dad is
a hero for that and because hisdad must know that his, the son,
the life of his son will beforever changed and he will

(08:15):
probably get the death penaltyin the state of utah.
But, um, I believe his dad wasa christian.
His son was in rebellion.
He had been radicalized overthe past few years, getting more
and more political Nothingwrong with being political, but
he was getting violent.
He was finding people on theinternet, on apps like Discord,

(08:37):
with other quote-unquoteanti-fascists, and I just want
to say something.
I agree with the termanti-fascist, I'm against
fascism, but these anti-fascistsare closer to fascist than they
realize.
They use political violence andhate to spread their messages,

(09:02):
and a young, 31-year-old man wascut down in his prime purely
out of cowardness.
That individual knew howeffective Charlie Kirk was, and
Charlie was effective, how smarthe was.
I believe that there has been aturning of the tides in the

(09:23):
United States.
I believe that there has been aturning of the tides in the
United States and we arestarting to go back to better
days.
People are becoming moreconservative, younger people are
becoming more conservative.
A large part of that wasbecause of Charlie Kirk, but
we're not going to let that manor his evil quote-unquote

(09:48):
anti-fascist that try to takeour lives, and some of them will
slow us down.
We will fight for free speech,we will fight for the unborn and
we will spread the gospel ofJesus Christ.
I have a sign ministry that Ineed to be more active in.

(10:10):
I need to do it more and thisis motivating me more to go back
.
I'm going to be safe, I'm goingto listen to the counsel of my
wife, but I know every time I goon to the corner of some place
holding a sign that says repent, believe the gospel, holding the

(10:35):
cross, I have a cross forpeople to look at every time I
do that there's a chance I mightnot come back home.
Christianity has a long list ofmartyrs and that will not stop
until Christ comes back.
I was thinking to myself, as Ithink all of us do why does God

(11:01):
spare some people from evil?
but not others and I don't knowGod's divine sovereign plan
completely, with the death ofCharlie Kirk, I have a few ideas
that God might take it, but Idon't understand why God would

(11:26):
spare Donald Trump and notCharlie Kirk.
And if you're a Christian andyou watch the footage, it's very
obvious that God spared DonaldTrump's life as he moved his
head a few inches away from thebullet, seconds away from the
shot, seconds away from the shot, but he did not spare Charlie

(11:48):
Kirk.
If you had the unfortunate ofseeing the horrible evil video,
I'm sorry I had to see it.
It scarred me, I don't.
It would have scarred me nomatter who it was.
And then when I see that I knowthat this is the, this is the
evil, it would have scarred meno matter who it was.

(12:09):
And then when I see that I knowthat this is the evil, that
there is no, this is nothingmore than pure evil, demonically
influenced, to shut up a manthat proudly proclaimed the
gospel of Jesus Christ andproudly proclaimed the gospel of
Jesus Christ and proudlyproclaimed the truth.
I believe the devil's mad.

(12:31):
I believe the devil is upset.
He knows he's going to lose andhe's going to kill, steal and
destroy as many of us as he can.
He's not going to win.
It doesn't matter how long he'sbeen here and how smart he is
or how smart he thinks he is.

(12:52):
Devil is going to lose.
One of the greatest lies evertold and believed by people is
the devil convinced the worldthat he did not exist, when he
very, very much does, when evilvery much exists.

(13:14):
But how do you contrast evil?
When this happened, I was hurt.
I'm still hurt and I told mywife I do want, not want to live
in the same country as thesepeople that would take innocent
life, no matter if it's CharlieKirk or if it's an AME church in

(13:38):
South Carolina, if it's SteveScalise at a baseball game, if
it's Gretchen Whitner, if it'sJosh Shapiro, if it's two
lawmakers in Minnesota that areDemocrats, if it's Donald Trump.

(14:04):
I don't want to live in thesame country as these people.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
So where does that leave us?

Speaker 1 (14:12):
we have a couple options.
We could get violent, butthat's never worked in history,
as history has shown us.
Option two we can do what StPatrick did and go to Ireland
and cast out all the snakes.
By casting out all the snakes,he converted people to the

(14:36):
gospel.
And I've said for years nowpolitics is a small part of the
spiritual battle that we arehaving.
So I'm going to try to go outand win souls.
I'm not going to shy away frompolitics when I become a pastor.
Well, let me rephrase that if Ibecome a pastor and when I'm

(15:01):
speaking boldly the gospel ofChrist, as he gives me the Holy
Spirit and the courage to do so,and not of myself, I'm not
going to avoid political issues, because you just don't mix
politics and religion.
I'm sorry.
Abortion's a sin.
Homosexuality is a sin.
It's evil.

(15:22):
Now I will say this is a sin,it's evil.
I'm out.
I will say this I do think it'sa shame for anyone to get
behind the altar and the pulpitof God and endorse a political
candidate or a political party.
I'm not going to do that, but Iam going to boldly proclaim

(15:42):
truth every chance that I get.
And I understand that we areall sinners.
But we can't keep allowing forunborn babies to be murdered.
We can't keep allowing theseevil sins inflicting our country

(16:08):
and inflicting us.
You can say what does it affectme?
What does it affect you?
It does affect me when you'rerobbing me of my fellow
countrymen, when you're killingthem, when you're cutting them
down in cold blood.
It does affect me when Godjudges our nation, and he will

(16:30):
and he does judge the nationsstill today.
So I want to talk about a littlebit of the rhetoric I'm seeing
online.
You might say it's the fringeand it's not the majority, but
there's a big part of Democraticvoters.
They might not be party members, but voters that are

(16:50):
celebrating the death of CharlieKirk Just like the demon
celebrated the death of Jesus.
I'm not calling Charlie KirkJesus, I'm just saying the
pictures seem so similar to meYelling, celebrating the death

(17:12):
of a good man who was cut downin his prime, then celebrating
God's death.
Both are demonic, both are evil.
You might say it's just theinternet.
Internet it's not the realworld, and I understand we
should not live on the internetand we should go touch grass.

(17:33):
But people, real people wantCharlie Kirk dead.
Real people would want all usconservative Christians to be

(17:53):
dead.
That's the truth.
They would not care.
They would love it.
Now, that's the minority, butit's the minority, but it's a

(18:15):
minority that seems like it'stoo large for me to ignore.
I will give people some credit.
On the other side of the aisle, bernie Sanders condemned this,
cenk Uygur condemned this, president Obama condemned this
and said he was praying forCharlie no-transcript.

(18:37):
And a ton of politicians arecondemning this.
On the left side which is agood thing We've become so
partisan that we just hate eachother.
We hate each other because wethey're on a different political

(18:57):
team.
We call each other evilDemocrats, evil Republicans,
Nazis, nazis and communists.
I had I there's, there's someoneI know and I love and I tell
them all the time you've got tostop calling Democrats evil, you
gotta stop calling communists.
You have to stop demonizingthem in your mind and in your

(19:18):
heart.
Well, I'm not saying all ofthem, but they're either dumb,
ignorant.
They're either dumb or ignorant.
I realize those are differentwords with different meanings.
I'm using them intentionally.
They either don't know orthey're just stupid, or they're
demonic and there's no otheroption.

(19:38):
And I'll say well, what if theylook at things differently than
us?
What if they see economicsdifferent and caring for the
poor?
And what if they see stuffabout the illegal immigrants and
they say we are being cruel?
And there's always an excusefor him.
And it breaks my heart BecauseI know there are people on the
other side that are good.

(19:59):
But yeah, but with lies there'salways a grain of truth.
And I definitely do think theDemocratic Party is demonically
influenced.
I do.
You can call me crazy, you cancall me evil.
Listen, if you're a Democratand you love Jesus and you have

(20:19):
a different reason to vote thanI do, different political
perspective, and that's fine,we're on the same team.
I just think that you're off onyour viewpoints.
I want to read you somethingCharlie Kirk said and Charlie
Kirk, I think, would agree withme on this, because I heard him

(20:41):
say some stuff very similar tothis.
So just to give backstory, uh,the quarterback for the
baltimore ravens, my rival, retweeted charlie kirk about a
week or two ago when he was onFox News.
So recently Telling people I'mjust going to let Charlie take

(21:09):
it from here is getting thebacklash, maybe because you're
not allowed to retweet aconservative personality.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
And I just want to say to Lamar Jackson I said this
on my podcast as well you aremore than welcome in this big
movement that we are building.
We don't have to grant anythingexcept Jesus.
Lamar, you could be a Democrat, you could be on the left, I
don't care.
Jesus is honestly the mostimportant thing.
I think Lamar Jackson isgetting the backlash maybe
because you're not so that'swhat he said.

Speaker 1 (21:34):
You can be a leftist, you can be a Democrat.
Jesus is the most importantthing.
So I tell my friends that on myside of the aisle that vote
Republican, that areconservative, before just
calling all Democrats evil ordumb, think twice, because

(21:57):
that's part of what got Charliekilled.
We have to stop calling fakingto each other as enemies.
That doesn't mean that we haveto agree with the other party.
That doesn't mean we can't eventhink that the other party has
some demonic influence.
But there are good people, godly Christians that are
Democrats.
It might seem like an oxymoronto us on this side of the aisle,

(22:22):
but it's true.
And for Democrats, if there'sany listening to me right now,
there are good people on ourside too.
Cenk Uygur, a very bigprogressive, for years on the
internet has run the YouTubechannel and podcast called the

(22:42):
young turks.
Him and charlie kirk had a hugespat one time where they were
screaming at each other um,you'd have to look that up and
um.
But they kind of patched thingsup and um became and became
more cordial toward each other.

(23:02):
And I mean and Charlie, andlisten, cenk is a.
Cenk grew up as a Muslim.
He's an atheist, but he grew upas a Muslim, so he's not saved
and we need to pray for him.
But I want you to listen toCenk Uygur's response, who could

(23:24):
sometimes be categorized prettyclose to a socialist.
I'm not using that as anegative and I'm not using that
as a down toward him, but he's aprogressive and I want you to
listen to what Cenk has to sayhere.

Speaker 4 (23:42):
Charlie Kirk has been shot.
He was in Utah giving a speechat a college and unfortunately,
I just found out that he'spassed away.
It is beyond tragic, it'sdisgusting, it's terrible.
It's the worst thing that hashappened in American media and
politics in a long time.

(24:02):
So this violence is not theanswer.
It is the very worst possibleanswer.
We don't know who did it, uh,and if some of you might have
seen an older guy gettingdragged away by the police, it
turns out they released him.
He's not the guy, uh.
So they haven't caught the guyyet, but I can't believe he
passed away.

(24:22):
I can't believe it.
So he's gone.
And violence is surrender.
It's saying that you, you can'twin in the battlefield of ideas
.
What a terrible, terriblemessage to send and that you
have to be barbaric and you haveto be violent and you have to
be a savage when you have tojust shut that person down

(24:43):
physically because you can'tdefeat them with your ideas.
What a cowardly form ofsurrender.
What a disgusting thing to do.
How deeply immoral.
This is a terrible, terribleday, because so not only do I
know Charlie and you can say hey, he said bad things in the past
, who cares who?

(25:03):
That's not the point today.
Okay, it doesn't matter whatpeople said.
You never do violence, never.
That's the exact opposite ofbeing a progressive.
It makes no sense at all.
We're against violence.
If you do violence, you're notone of us.
You're disgusting, you'reimmoral and you're deeply
counterproductive.
Anytime one side does violence,it makes everyone else hate

(25:27):
them, rightfully so.
So none of our side should ever, ever do that.
Plus, he's a human being.
I met him and his wife behind,uh, the scenes, etc.
They're human beings, no matterhow much we agree or disagree
with anyone.
This is just terrible, guys.

(25:49):
This is going to lead to worseand worse violence.
I hope to God it doesn't.
I hope that America regains itssenses and gets back to peace
and civility, but this is notthe way.
This is terrible.
I feel awful for Charlie'sfamily, obviously for Charlie.
Stop, stop all of the violence.

(26:11):
This is the problem.
This is not the way to solve it.
So it's an absolutely tragicday and my heart goes out to his
entire family.
I'm so sorry that this happenedto anyone.
I just can't believe it.
All right, guys, please, everyone, nothing but good

(26:31):
thoughts and prayers forCharlie's family.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
Cenk is right and I could even see that Shank was
hurting.
I'll report and say Charlie's areally good man.
He's only 31 years old.
He started Turning Points, usa,I think, when he was 18 or 19.
And he didn't go to college, but he would debate people.

(27:01):
Go to college campuses and hewould debate them.
He'd say you have a differentopinion?
Come, change my mind.
He he tried to get people totalk but disagreed so violence
wouldn't happen.
And what am I supposed to dowhen I have people on my side of

(27:24):
the aisle that were already onthe edge of of hating their
neighbor and they see this whenCharlie Kirk was one of the most
mild toast, nice, nicest, couldserve if you could get it.
This wasn't Matt Walsh.
And listen, I'm not saying MattWalsh, that should have

(27:47):
happened to him, god forbid.
But Matt Walsh just said somestuff that was a whole lot more
hurtful than Charlie.
And I understand, listen, whenyou do radio for a long period
of time, even the short lifethat Charlie had you're going to
say some stuff you regret andyou're going to say things that

(28:08):
people take out of context.
Stephen King, the horror author, said Charlie Kirk called for
gay people to be stoned.
That's not true.
It's a lie.
It's disgusting that he wouldsay that Now.
Did Charlie Kirk read a Bibleverse from Leviticus that said
homosexuality is a sin and theyshould be stoned to death?

(28:30):
Yes, he did, but I was having aconversation with my
grandfather, who's a minister,who I interviewed shortly ago,
and he brought that up.
Should he get stoned to death?
What the law is showing us ishow holy God is that we are not,
and the vast majority of uswould have been stoned to death

(28:50):
in the Old Testament.
That's what they leave out.
Charlie Kirk didn't want that.
He knew he lived under the newtestament of grace.
Um pray for the Kirk family twobeautiful children who were
robbed of having a father, awife robbed of her husband, a

(29:18):
mother robbed of her son and thenation robbed of her voice and
the free exchange of ideasbecause a coward was too afraid
that he was losing the debate.
And when you keep callingpeople Hitler and Nazis,

(29:40):
someone's going to kill youeventually, or someone's going
to try to, or someone's going tokill you eventually, or
someone's going to try to, orsomeone's going to have the idea
to, because Hitler was ahorrible human being.
That's the thing you are making.
When you call Charlie KirkHitler, who are two different
people with two very differentideologies, you diminish how
evil Hitler was.

(30:00):
He was evil and Charlie wasgood, and Charlie is in heaven
and he is still good.
Our nation is hurting.
I'm hurting, I mean.
I'm still devastated.
But I am glad that the shooter, the killer of Charlie Kirk, is

(30:29):
now in custody and I pray he isbrought to the fullest extent of
the law, something I havechanged my mind on since
starting this podcast.
When I started this podcastpodcast, I was against the death
penalty and now I'm for it,because I always knew that the
old testament called for deathpenalty, but I never really said

(30:51):
.
I always said no, I don't.
I don't think that is true inthe new, but someone pointed out
to me in romans 13 thatgovernment has the right to bear
the sword and I believe theyhave the duty to, as a deterrent
of evil and to leave this man'slife alone, to not take this.
If this man's truly guilty andit is, I'm sure it is I am to

(31:18):
let him live and Charlie be dead.
You're slapping the face of hiswidow and his children and
you're slapping the face of thecountry, and I understand that I
100% want us to have 100% proofbefore we execute the death
penalty.
100% want us to have 100% proofbefore we execute the death

(31:40):
penalty.
But if you murder someone incold blood and you don't have a
mental and you do not have amental disability or illness,
according to Romans 13, theBible, god's Word, you should be
put to death.
This guy should be put to death.

(32:01):
This guy should be put to deathNot by a vigilante or a rogue
agent that would be unlawful, that would be sinful but by the
government God's instituted.
And if we don't do that, we'resaying that Charlie's Kirk was
worth less than this scumbag, than this anti, than this quote

(32:23):
unquote anti-fascist, left wingnut job.
Scum that's what he is, and ifhe was right wing, I would have
said he was a right wing scumbagtoo, because he is.
He is a scumbag.
This should not be acceptable.
This is not acceptable.

(32:43):
I'm not okay with this.
I'm not okay with anafrican-american church in south
carolina getting shot up forthe color of their skins.
I'm not okay when someone killsinnocent children in an
elementary school.
I'm not okay when someone killssomeone with a knife on the
subway.
That's a ukrainian refugee.
I'm not okay when someone killssomeone with a knife on the
subway.
That's a Ukrainian refugee.
I'm not okay when someone getsshot with a microphone in their

(33:06):
hands spreading truth.
I'm not okay with that and Inever will be.
And you, the listener, shouldnot be.
And we must fight against it byembracing our calling.
It doesn't have to be political, it by embracing our calling.
It doesn't have to be political, but embracing your calling and

(33:29):
not living in fear.
Do it for America, do it forCharlie.
There will always be martyrsand Charlie Kirk, make no
mistake, is a martyr for theconservative movement.
But he also personally, and youcan disagree with me, I believe
he's a martyr for theconservative movement.
But he also personally, and youcould disagree with me, I
believe he's a martyr for thegospel.
Because you could say well, itwas a political killing, not a
gospel killing.

(33:50):
That guy saw it as one and thesame, and I do too.
That doesn't mean his politicalbeliefs are all correct or that
you have to be a Republican I'mnot saying that.
But that guy that shot him fromthe rooftop, I don't think he
cared if he separated a biblicalopinion from a political

(34:13):
opinion.
Charlie Kirk is a martyr of thefaith and a martyr of
conservatism, and I will notforget him.
I will not forget him.
He did more in 31 years thanmost of us, myself included,
could do in 100.
God bless him and I'mheartbroken for him, but I'm

(34:36):
rejoicing that he is at thehands of God and that God is
still in control.
God knew this would happen, andthat could make you feel upset
and angry, but also can make youfeel secure, knowing that God
had a plan for Charlie, that Godhas a plan for you and me.

(34:59):
Every single one of the twelveapostles, except John, was
murdered, but their blood, that's pled on the ground, rose
up.
More Christians.
Every time Christians gotpersecuted and fed to lions,
every time we were beheaded andcrucified, more Christians rose

(35:22):
up.
Why?
Because they saw Christ Peopledying for their faith.
And the people would say whowould do that?
Who would die for their faith?
Who would die for a lie?
Who would, especially thedisciples, who would die for a
lie?
If they knew that Jesus didn'trise from the dead?
All they would have to say isJesus did not rise from the dead

(35:45):
.
I made it all up and they wouldhave walked scot free, but they
didn't.
Because Jesus did raise fromthe grave, because Jesus is God
and the gospel is true.
I want to leave you.
I want to play a small clipfrom Charlie Kirk about his

(36:09):
faith in God, and then I want toleave you with something else.
I'll play it here in a second.
I think you'll understand why.

Speaker 3 (36:18):
I have 30 seconds left to live.
I'm dying from a gunshot wound.
But what would you actuallywant to tell me if I have 30
seconds left to live?
Boy, you've got 30 seconds.
In 30 seconds, you're about tomeet eternal judgment, and
there's only one way that youcan get bailed out of that.
It's not all the good thingsyou did or the moral scorecard.
It's whether or not you haveJesus Christ as your Lord and
Savior, and that's the onlything that's going to matter.

(36:39):
And so you got 10 seconds left.
You're dying from a gunshotwound and you ask the question
who is Jesus Christ?
And the answer to that singularquestion who is Jesus Christ is
the most important question foreveryone in the audience, not
how much money you have, not howmuch good stuff you do.
It is who is Jesus Christ?
You might say, oh, jesus was,you know, a teller of good tales
, or Jesus was a good person, orJesus was a historical figure.

(37:00):
None of that's going to cut it.
It's whether or not you repentand you ask Christ to come in as
your Lord and Savior.

Speaker 1 (37:08):
That's the only thing that will save you from eternal
death.
Charlie was right it's not yourgood works.
Now, all salvation does producegood works, but our good works
do not save us.
It's only by faith and gracealone, christ Jesus alone.
Charlie is a great man.

(37:33):
He definitely could have endedup being president one day.
I remember him as a patriot, aconservative, a father.
I remember him as a husband, butbefore all that I'm going to
remember him as my brother inChrist.

(37:53):
I will see again.
If you're hurt, it's okay to behurt I'm hurt.
If you've cried, it's okay tocry I've cried.
If you're flustered and mad,it's okay, but put those
energies in the right direction.
We don't want to see any moreof this from any side and I want

(38:20):
to see more people saved andbought by the blood of Jesus
Christ.
Let's pray.
Dear Jesus, thank you for thelife of Charlie Kirk.
Let his death be turned intogood.
Let the evil of the world triedto inflict on our brother and

(38:41):
did I know it will fall.
I pray that you will be withhis family, his mom, his dad,
his family, his mom, his dad,his kids, his wife, his loved
ones, his friends and family andhis followers that never knew

(39:01):
him.
I never knew him, he never knewme, but I know who he was and
you know who he is.
I pray you'll be with is.
I pray you'll be with him.
I pray you'll give him comfort.
Thank you for his life.
Let us know how to live abetter life Because of him,

(39:27):
because of you.
We pray this in the name ofJesus, amen.
Guys, I do want to play one moreshort video From a man whose
life was also taken by anassassin's bullet, who also
could have been president, likeCharlie.
Charlie very well could haveended up being president of the

(39:48):
United States In a Republicanyear.
I definitely believe he couldhave ended up being President of
the United States in aRepublican year.
I definitely believe he couldhave absolutely and I'm talking
about Robert F Kennedy, whoselife was taken from him and he

(40:13):
gave a speech about another manwho was also taken by an
assassin's bullet.
This should not happen.
In the United States of America, we have the right to have free
speech and exchange in ideasand anytime an assassin takes
your life with a bullet, he isrobbing you of that right and
he's robbing people of you tohear that idea.
We battle ideas in America withour mouths and with our minds,

(40:36):
never with a gun, never with aknife.
And if you do so, you areadmitting defeat and you're
telling the other person thatthey have won and you are going
down to the last wire toeliminate them because you hate
them and their ideas, everyone.

Speaker 2 (40:54):
I'm going to play you the video of RFK speech after
the tragic night of MartinLuther King's death for King's
death Very sad news for all ofyou and, I think, sad news for

(41:15):
all of our fellow citizens andpeople who love peace all over
the world, and that is thatMartin Luther King was shot and
was killed tonight in Memphis,tennessee.
Martin Luther King dedicatedhis life to love and to justice

(41:37):
between fellow human beings.
He died in the cause of thateffort.
In this difficult day, in thisdifficult time for the United
States, it's perhaps well to askwhat kind of a nation we are
and what direction we want tomove in.

(41:59):
Considering the evidenceevidently is that there were

(42:20):
white people who wereresponsible.
You can be filled withbitterness and with hatred and a
desire for revenge.
We can move in that directionas a country in greater
polarization black peopleamongst blacks and white amongst
whites, filled with hatredtoward one another.
Or we can make an effort, asMartin Luther King did, to

(42:41):
understand and to comprehend andreplace that violence, that
stain of bloodshed that isspread across our land, with an
effort to understand, compassionand love.
For those of you who are blackand are tempted to be filled

(43:06):
with hatred and distrust of theinjustice of such an act against
all white people, I would onlysay that I can also feel in my
own heart the same kind offeeling.
I had a member of my familykilled, but he was killed by a

(43:28):
white man.
But we have to make an effortin the United States.
We have to make an effort tounderstand, to get beyond or go
beyond these rather difficulttimes.
A favorite poem, my favoritepoet, was Aeschylus.
He once wrote.
Poet was Aeschylus.

(43:59):
He once wrote even in our sleep, pain which cannot forget falls
drop by drop upon the heartuntil in our own despair,
against our will, comes wisdomthrough the awful grace of God.
What we need in the UnitedStates is not division.
What we need in the UnitedStates is not hatred.
What we need in the UnitedStates is not violence and

(44:21):
lawlessness, but is love andwisdom and compassion toward one
another, feeling of justicetoward those who still suffer
within our country, whether theybe white or whether they be
black.
We can do well in this country.

(44:50):
We will have difficult times.
We've had difficult times inthe past and we will have
difficult times in the future.
It is not the end of violence,it is not the end of lawlessness
and it's not the end ofdisorder, but the vast majority
of white people and the vastmajority of white people and the
vast majority of black peoplein this country want to live

(45:14):
together, want to improve thequality of our life and want
justice for all human beingsthat abide in our land.
God bless you all.

Speaker 1 (45:51):
Dedicate ourselves to that and say a prayer for our
country and for our people.
Thank you very much.
God bless you all and, as theformer secretary, robert F
Kennedy, said, let's say aprayer for our country.
Keep praying for our country, pray for the Kirk family.
God bless you.
Evil will not win.
