(10:28):

You are more than enough.
It's your time to say yes toyour journey of self-discovery,
and that is at krystalj ae.

(10:49):
com forward slash Black Fridaypre-sale.
Before I said yes to myself forself-discovery, I spent years
living in a mess of stress.

(11:11):
I've had migraines since I was,oh my goodness, as long as I
can remember, because I rememberhaving headaches quotation
marks.
Right, I had headaches andeveryone would be like, oh, oh,

(11:31):
girl, it's just a headache, you're just being soft, you know
, everybody gets them.
Well, of course, later on, evenall the way up through middle
school, and as much as I wascomplaining how bad they hurt
and I would have to go and beunder the covers and everything
else, it was still like, girl, you having headaches, you'll be
all right.
No, it wasn't until like mylate teenage years, like high

(11:53):
school, but several years in,that it really came out that we
found out that my headachesquotation marks was really
migraines.
And then later on in life, those migraines evolved into
hemiplegic migraines.
Because why?

(12:15):
I had a whole bunch of stressin my life, but the whole point
of it was is that we didn't knowthat it was hemiplegic

(12:37):
migraines.
I suffered for a while withhaving episodes of only being
able to just see shadows.
My memory would go horrible.
My left side would go weak Ifyou haven't heard of hemiplegic
migraines.
Hemiplegic migraines theybasically mimic a stroke, and I
was dealing with that for awhile after I had my daughter,
who is now 13.
And I lived in that space ofsuffering with my health, my

(13:14):
health and it wasn't untilmonths in and having to bring my
mom in to help tell the medicalprofessionals that I was really
suffering with these symptoms, because at one point they
thought it was all in my headand so I had to bring somebody
in to be like no, she's reallyexperiencing these things.
And like I'm going to thehospitals and they're seeing me

(13:36):
mid episode and every timethey're giving me the migraine
cocktail, they are hooking me upto all kinds of machines,
they're keeping me overnight ona stroke protocol and everything
else because it mimics a stroke, and so we didn't know why my
regular migraines evolved intohemiplegic migraines.

(14:00):
But we knew that like I now wasput on like this whole oh my
gosh just like this wholecocktail of meds that I would
have to take every day.
Then I had meds to where whenI'm feeling a migraine coming on
, when the migraine actuallycomes on, and it was a whole hot
mess and I didn't want tocontinue to live that way, that

(14:24):
way, because the migraines were.
I had more migraine days thanregular days.
That's how bad it was.
And when you're living in a messof stress, right, a lot of
people get the raised bloodpressure.

(14:44):
I experienced that for thefirst time and I was like, oh my
goodness, what is this?
Because I'm someone who myblood pressure is usually on the
lower end, my heart rate isusually on the lower end.
So to have a raised bloodpressure, raised heart rate and

(15:09):
everything else, that wascompletely new for me.
Like y'all, my heart wasbeating out my chest.
I couldn't lay down.
I could actually hear like theswooshing of, like the blood
going through my veins.
When my heart was beating, whenI would lay down, like it was
scary.
I experienced like thistingling in my feet.

(15:36):
I had sleepless nights, fatigueddays and oh, let's not get
started on the weight gain.
I'm still battling that one.
But hey, we're coming down andwe're getting.
You know we're putting in thatwork y'all.
But it's about toning.
You know I'm not really, Idon't really care about losing

(15:57):
weight.
You know what I mean.
I need to lose a little bit,but it's more about toning it
right, but anyway.
And so stress brings all ofthese things on and we live with
them for the longest.
We get prescribed medicines tomanage the symptoms and then it

(16:19):
just keeps getting worse and wejust keep getting more meds, or
we just end up with a life fullof meds and a whole bunch of
symptoms and we don't want tocontinue to live that way.
And because what they say, what's that saying?
Stress kills.
It's not just a saying, it'sreality.
Stress literally can kill us,right, because we talked about

(16:43):
how our mind, because we talkedabout how our mind, body and
soul have this whole connectionand how our fight and flight
triggers hormone releases andthen, with those hormone
releases, our body gets to doingall these different things.

(17:04):
And we talked about all of that, right.
And so we don't want to live inthis cycle of living in stress
and being like, oh, it's goingto be okay, this is just life.

(17:26):
Because it's not okay.
And I've shared this over andover and over and over again and
I'm going to keep sharing itbecause when I had my mental
breakdown, that was one of theworst experiences that I felt
and I can still remember to thisday the looks in my children's

(17:48):
eyes, of them being worriedabout me, the way that my
husband would cuddle me becausehe seen how broken I was.
And this is.
They've always seen me as thestrong one.
You know, I took care ofeverybody else.

(18:10):
But now here I am, broken, likean infant, needing to be
nurtured and taken care of andprovided for, and so it was a
whole new thing, not just forthem, but also for me.
And when I was in that darkplace and once I started to give

(18:37):
, once I got the strength to belike okay, I don't want to live
this way, I want to be better.
I wanted to learn how to gainmy life back.
And so today we're going to talkabout how you can gain your
life back, but not just gain itback to where you remember it

(19:03):
being good.
We're talking about gettingyour life back to where it's
even better than it ever wasbefore.
We're going to be talking aboutgaining clarity in who you are,
knowing what your purpose isand beginning to live your

(19:26):
purpose-filled life the way thatyou envision it.
No more living for everyoneelse.
Instead, you can live witheveryone else.
No more struggling to makedecisions.

(19:48):
No more secretly hating yourlife.
It's about loving who you are.
Love your loved ones as thepeople they truly are the people

(20:16):
they truly are, because we'regoing to stop trying to fix
others, stop trying to fix theirsituations, and we're going to
empower them to live their bestlives as well.
This will enable us to be abetter parent, a better spouse,
a better partner, a bettersister, a better brother, a

(20:39):
better daughter, a better son.
Whatever your position in lifeis, you're going to be better.
It's about having the careerthat you want, not the one that
you just settled with.

(21:00):
It's about having the successthat you deserve, because
there's no more suffering insilence and there's no more
wondering who you deserve.
Because there's no moresuffering in silence and there's
no more wondering who you are, because you're going to be able
to stand up and say, hey, I'mCrystal J, I'm the empowerment

(21:25):
goddess.
Who am I?
Expert?
And your somatic,trauma-informed coach, because
that's who I am, and you aregoing to be able to introduce
yourself with that same love, passion, joy, fulfillment and

(21:46):
purpose.
So, if you haven't done it yet, this is the perfect time to
share this episode with thefirst person on your mind.
And then, of course, I don'tknow what you're waiting for you
should already have your penand your paper out taking notes.

(22:11):
Y'all already know we're aboutlearning here.
We're about implementation.
So you already know there'sgoing to be little nuggets for
you to be writing down andimplementing into your life so
you can overcome suffering andsilence, so you can discover who
you are, so you can say no topeople pleasing and you can say

(22:36):
yes to yourself.
So do you have that pen andpaper yet?
All right, because I don't wantno more of the.
I have an issue with myself.
I've heard that many times fromseveral clients and it takes

(23:00):
them a while to acknowledge thatthey have an issue with myself.
They know it on the inside, butit's hard for them to speak it
on the outside.
And that's okay, because that'swhy we have steps and that's
why we implement the tips, sothat way you can become the best

(23:25):
version of you.
So, instead of you having anissue with yourself, you will
love yourself.
Okay, because I was just talkingto a client and that was one of
her main statements was I havean issue with myself and I don't

(23:50):
know where it comes from.
All I know is that, no matterwhat I do, it's never good
enough.
She felt like everything was acheckbox, like, yep, I did that.

(24:12):
Yep, I washed dishes.
Yep, I got the kids off toschool.
Yep, I paid this bill.
Yep, I went to the store.
Yep, I watched my TV show.
Everything was a checkbox.

(24:36):
And I don't want you to continueliving your life with
everything having a checkbox, with no time to comprehend how
awesome you are.
It's time for you to open thedoor from being shut down.

(25:01):
I know that you may feel thatyour brain is fried and you have
no more room to learn anythingelse or to add anything else to
it, because it's already done, for there's no space left and

(25:23):
you just can't push on.
But I'm going to tell you thisis to break free from that
stressing, because we are nolonger being overwhelmed by

(25:45):
stress.
We are no longer allowingstress to control your life,

(26:18):
self-doubt really starting toget to you the more alone that
you are.
Is self-doubt always been in theback of your head and are
affirmations, ooh, affirmations.

(26:39):
I don't believe in that crap.
I understand, because when I,too, first started affirmations,
I can be like I am loved yeah, sometimes I'm loved.
And yeah, I do believe mychildren love me.

(27:02):
I'm going away somewhere else.
No, I am worthy.
Am I worthy, though?
I really don't believe that, but they say I need to continue
saying it.
So yeah, I'm worthy.
Whatever, I am successful.
Well, you know, I have thingsand I have a house and I have

(27:25):
food and I have a car.
Yeah, I guess I am successful.
No, we're not doing that withaffirmations y'all.
That's not what we're doing,but we're going to have a whole
thing on affirmations anotherday.

(27:47):
My point is it's time to breakfree from the self-doubt.
It's time for you to be incontrol of your thoughts, your
feelings, your emotions.
It's time for you to be incontrol of your thoughts, your
feelings, your emotions.
It's time for you to retrainyour subconscious mind and your

(28:07):
conscious mind, for you to be incharge of what your
subconscious mind is going to beknocking at your conscious mind
door, saying, hey, rememberthis.
You're going to be like no, wedon't remember that.
Okay, because you're going tobe in control and they're not

(28:28):
going to trigger with everysingle little sound or trigger
you to shut down with everylittle yell that you hear,

(28:55):
because when you were five, youlived in a house, a child.
It takes you back to thatfive-year-old you and you begin
to get your palms sweaty, yourheart begins racing, your eyes

(29:18):
start getting watery and it justfeels like you just can't get a
good breath in.
It's time to rewire our mindand let it know hey, you're okay

(29:38):
, I got you.
We don't have to react to thatyell anymore because we are safe
, because, yes, I do know thatthat inner child in you is still

(30:00):
in pain from the years oftrauma that you experienced.
And the adult you is being theprotector, protector, and that's
why one you either walkingaround with the hard shell like

(30:21):
you can't be touched, or you'rewalking around with a mask on in
public.
But when you're by yourself, you're so vulnerable and just
wish that you had a protector, wish that you can get a moment

(30:45):
of peace from the negativityrunning in your head.

(31:10):
You don't have to continue tokeep going, day after day after
day with all this stuff in yourhead.
You may be even journaling somuch that your hand cramp.
I've been there, heck, one time.
When I got done.
I'm flipping page after pageafter page and I'm like goodness
, I might as well keep going, because I almost got two

(31:36):
chapters in a book right here.
Can you relate?
I know you may be feeling likeyou don't know how to make your
life better or how you can makeit right.
So you just keep trying, dayafter day after day, to keep

(31:59):
checking off the checklist, tokeep doing everything possible
to keep your house in order, andyou might even do it with a
smile on your face and everybodymight think you're the best at
it.
But in your mind, in your head, you everybody might think

(32:19):
you're the best at it, but inyour mind, in your head, you're
like oh my gosh, this is themost difficult thing ever.
When can I get a break?
You may feel like you don'thave the time or the energy to

(32:41):
focus on yourself, to have metime or to have time for you to
start your healing journey.
But let me tell you, even ifit's just five minutes out your

(33:09):
day, it's worth it.
It's the best thing that a lotof my past clients have said
that they have ever did forthemselves, because trauma

(33:34):
leaves behind so much crap thatit takes over our mind and our
body.
It leaves us suffering insilence and sometimes out loud.

(33:56):
And if you're not the onesuffering in silence, you're
probably listening to thispodcast because you know someone
.
It may be your neighbor, it maybe your brother, your sister,
your co-worker, your mom, youraunt, your uncle coworker, your

(34:31):
mom, your aunt, your uncle, yourbaby mama, your baby daddy, who
is silently wishing for a guide, for an answer, wishing that
life will just give them a break.
Are you wishing that life wouldjust give you a break?
Because with one of my pastclients, lk, she left a comment,

(34:56):
a review, and her review itsays how do I even start?
Crystal J is absolutely amazing.
I never thought anyone wouldunderstand me.
She has been such an amazinginspiration and teacher.

(35:16):
I look up to her so much.
I was in a very down place, thought life just didn't make
sense and I wasn't myself and Ididn't think life was worth
anything.
I'm still working hard eachweek, but she has given me hope,

(35:37):
has shown me how far I've comeand I am so proud of myself.
Thank you, crystal J.
I don't know where I would bewithout you.
If you ever felt like giving up, I highly recommend her trauma
course and all her othersessions.
A plus, plus, plus heart, heart, y'all.

(36:04):
This is about a real lifetransformation.
This is about giving yourselfgrace.
It's about being thankful foryourself Because you already
living life with tears runningdown, thinking dang, it's hard
out here.
You want to change yoursituation and you want to change

(36:33):
it quickly, but you don't knowhow to do it.
But you don't know how to do itand instead you have moments of
I give up, don't give up.

(36:53):
It's time for you to say yes toyou.
It's time to show that innervoice, that inner voice that
keeps saying come on, you can dothis, just do this, this and
this, but then turns around andsay why you mess that up?
Just listen to me.
Already Do you have that voicein your head?
Because I know I used to, and Iused to sometimes be like girl

(37:19):
if you don't be quiet, and othertimes I'd be like you know what
you're right and crawl into mylittle corner.
But now you're going to teachthat inner voice what it means
to live, what it means to havesuccess, what it means to enjoy

(37:40):
life, and you're going to showit the greatness that lives
within you.
So are you ready for thisaction step?
Because, again, if you haven'ttaken out your pen and paper now
, you really need to take it out.

(38:00):
Okay, and before we go into thisaction step, go ahead, share
this episode with the firstperson on your mind Now?
Are you stuck in a cycle ofnegativity and self-doubt?
Because I'm here to help youfind that clarity and purpose,

(38:26):
breaking you free from thechains of your past.
It's about envisioning a lifewhere your actions are more than
tasks, where your actions aremore than tasks.
They are actually meaningfulsteps towards your goals, the

(38:47):
goals that you set for your life.
So take advantage of thispre-sale offer and reserve your
coaching session.
Y'all Okay.
And reserve your coachingsession, y'all Okay.
And remember, if you're trulyready for an all-in change, join

(39:09):
the six-month who I Am program.
Okay, and to do that you justgo to krystaljae.
com forward slash black fridaypre-sale.
Okay, now.
I hope all that gave you timeto grab your pen and paper so
you can take notes for thisaction step for today.

(39:31):
You ready I'm imagining girl.
I'm ready, all right.
So again, you're done withstress messing all over your
life and you know it's time toget to the root, right, and give

(39:54):
it the boot.
Now what you're going to do isyou're going to write the three
top stressors in your life onthat paper, ok.
You're going to write where orwho those stressors originate
with or where they began OK.

(40:15):
How long have you beenexperiencing them again.
Okay, how long have you beenexperiencing them?
What does it look like to nothave those stressors in your
life?
Okay, and then, after you cando all that, yeah, that's not,
that's not it, we got more.
Okay, when you get done with allof that, what I want you to do

(40:39):
is I want you to create a tableon your paper, or even on the
back of that paper, or grab awhole nother paper, but I want
you to create a table with threecolumns One, two, three, three
columns.
On those columns, I want you tolabel them old, no more,

(41:00):
elevated life.
Old, no more elevated life.
Old, no more.
And elevated life Okay, justplaying, all right.
So what you're going to do isyou're going to take those three
top stressors that you wrote, that you've been writing about,

(41:22):
okay, and I want you to put themin a column.
Do they go in?
Old, no more, or elevated life?
Don't wait for me to give youthe answer, because I'm not
going to give you the answer.
This is your activity.
Okay, you the answer, becauseI'm not going to give you the
answer.
This is your activity.

(41:42):
Okay, now, if it's in the oldcolumn, again, put in the old
column.
Okay, now, what I want you to dois whatever's in the old column
, I want you to write anelevated life version, okay.
So, for example, if one of yourtop stressors is that you you

(42:14):
drink too much, right, then youcan put sobriety in your
elevated life version, okay.
And maybe one of your topstressors is your job that
you're at, so put a new job inthe elevated life.

(42:40):
But I don't want you to putjust a new job or a new career.
What is that new job?
What is that new career?
If you could pick something, what would it be?
That's what I want you to write.
Okay, now, I want you to dothose for each of your stressors
, not just your top three, though I want you to start with

(43:03):
your top three, but I want youto go through that with all the
things that are stressing you.
Right, they go in the old, nomore or elevated life.
Anything that's in the old orno more column needs to have an

(43:23):
elevated life version, okay.
Okay, then, once that iscomplete, I want you to write an
action step for each elevatedlife thing that you have in that

(43:43):
column.
So, for example, if it'ssobriety, an action step could
be that you're going to ameeting, that you're going to
rehab, that you know that you'regoing to tell a family member,

(44:05):
someone in your support system, that you've decided to choose
sobriety system, that you'vedecided to choose sobriety Okay,
if it's that you're going foryou know a new career, and then
you're putting you know ifyou're at your action step.

(44:32):
If you need to go back to school, maybe research schools or
update your resume, maybe one ofthe stressors in your life is
your partner and in the elevatedversion, you'll have a more
healthier relationship.
So what is the action step forthat?

(44:56):
Is it going to therapy together?
Is it maybe doing individualtherapy and then going to
therapy together?
Is it that y'all need to sitdown and actually communicate,
because it may not be that youhave bad communication.

(45:16):
Maybe you can communicate witheach other but neither one of
you do.
Okay, what is your action stepfor whatever's in that elevated
life?
I want you to write down atleast one, but for your main
ones, I want you to write downthe action steps that you need

(45:37):
to take to reach that elevatedlife, because then you just
built your path to your elevatedlife Stressor by stressor by
stressor, right?
Because I told y'all, we aregoing for that elevated life now

(46:02):
.
Okay, the purpose-filled life, the better life, the life that
you envision for yourself.
And if you would like guidanceby your side while you're doing

(46:26):
this, then just book a sessionand let's work through it.
Okay, because we are bootingthe root of messes that are
stressing you out.
Okay, boop, and as always I,crystal J, the empowerment
goddess, your who am I?
