Tom & Lélé, alias #lespoxins sont originaires de Caen et de banlieue parisienne. Ils ont choisi un Fiat Ducato pour un voyage européen d’une durée prévue de 3 ans.

Road of S’miles est une idée de Léa qui depuis petite fait du caravaning avec sa famille. Lors de leur rencontre, après s’être découverts, ils ont décidé sur un coup de tête de concevoir un van pour sillonner les routes d’Europe.
Tous les deux créatifs et complémentaires, leurs métiers en commun ont permis de tester et créer Road of S’miles. Le papa de Léa les a grandement inspiré… il est menuisier et crée des espaces réduits depuis des dizaines d’années. Son entreprise a fait faillite. Léa et Thomas ont soudainement réalisé que la vie est courte... ils ont décidé de travailler avec lui, ce qui lui a redonné le sourire, leur premier sourire… de Road of S’miles. Leur camion est maintenant homologué. La vie est plus minimaliste, sachant que dans un camion il est possible de mettre beaucoup de choses… "on va consommer moins, faire des achats quotidiens plutôt que pour des plaisirs furtifs."
Les rencontres sont éphémères mais faciles, “on est plus heureux maintenant ». "Les aurevoirs sont parfois douloureux, se terminent quelquefois avec des larmes, que de belles rencontres pendant le voyage."

"Le sourire est ce qui permet nos rencontres. Le voyage porte ce nom aussi. On n’a rien d’exceptionnel hormis notre sourire.... Nous nous sommes rencontrés sur Tinder, nous avions la même petite phrase sur le sourire, du coup ça a tout de suite matché. Quand on fait des rencontres, le langage universel reste le sourire, quel que soit les langues."
"Le voyage était une étape supplémentaire de notre couple. Quand nos copains aspirent à construire une maison, se marier, faire des enfants, nous on a choisi de vivre dans 6 mètres carrés. Vivre en van oblige bien sur à mettre de l’eau dans notre vin quand il le faut....quelques mois pour se roder, pour prendre quelques habitudes, se caler… aujourd’hui nous sommes plus fort que jamais ensemble."

The Burden

Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home.
