In the world of information overload, we hear a multitude of lies on the news everyday. It is true: ‘A lie will go round the world while truth is pulling its boots on.’
In December 2021, Linton Johnson, the founder and Chief Visionary Officer of OVIS, launched the world’s first blockchain powered news network, which allows everyday people to end fake news by incentivizing the truth. OVIS is the antidote to "fake news."
We also open the conversation on what a member of my team at the DA’s office in 2023 called telelievision (tele-lie-vision), a new term for the biased media coverage of our work. The lack of objectivity and bias displayed by TV anchors and other media actors was blatantly and painfully obvious.
So, people kept asking us: Why Can't You Sue Them? In this episode, we break down the law and explain how the First Amendment protects everyday people, but also opens the door for misinformation, abuse and "fake news" driven by solely by ratings and clicks.
