Steve Shaffer grew up outside of Louisville, Kentucky and lived an idyllic life in the countryside. He picked up the game of golf and became proficient at an early age. His family then moved to Jacksonville, Florida where he continued his golf as well as a host of other sports.
Steve also discovered the world of acting and continued this pursuit as performing arts major in college. He then tried his hand at acting in New York City with varying degrees of success. After becoming a little "burnt out" with the acting scene, he decided to become involved with the ministry where ha found solace and a strong connection to people.
During this time in New York, Steve discovered some of the great golf courses in Metropolitan New York and Long Island. He also found caddying as a therapeutic way be in nature and make connections with others.
Over the years, Steve stayed connected to golf. He eventually landed at Streamsong Golf Resort as well as a few other courses of note. He is regarded as one of the best caddies in the business and his reputation reaches far and wide.
In this episode, Kevin and Steve discuss Steve's story and his deep connection to golf. The two discuss their common experiences and love for the game. We also learn that not only is Steve a former actor, but he's also an accomplished musician. You are sure to enjoy this one and if you love the game of golf, then you are a friend of mine.
