In this episode of ParaBabble, we step into the courtroom for Law and Order: Paranormal Victims Unit — where the witnesses are ghosts and the evidence is... supernatural. We dive into two eerie cases where the paranormal made it onto the witness stand: the Greenbrier Ghost, the Hammersmith Ghost. Justice meets the unexplained in this spine-chilling legal drama only the paranormal could inspire.
This week on ParaBabble, we explore cursed games said to open doors to the unknown. From the Midnight Game and Elevator Game, to the ghostly Telephone Game and the terrifying Japanese ritual Daruma-san, we dig into the rules, the risks, and the eerie stories behind them. We also discuss many more of these chilling challenges—rating each one on just how willing we’d be to play.
You've probably seen images of the Flatwoods Monster before. A giant 10-12 foot alien-humanoid creature with glowing eyes, large claws, a spade-shaped helmet (or head?) that floats? It sounds awesome, but can Flatwoods compete with the other infamous West Virginia monster/alien; Mothman?! Find out as we put on our 1950s tin foil hat and dig into an iconic monster.
On one particularly snowy and cold February in 1855, the Devil took a stroll through a small village in Devon, England. This disturbed and frightened the villagers for some reason. You end up with one set of hooven snow prints on your roof and it's enough to cause a panic.
Welcome to the first episode of ParaBabble.... is something you might hear if you time slipped. Have you ever been walking down the street (probably on Bold Street in Liverpool to be more specific), and found yourself accidently in the 1950s? You're apparently not alone. Just try not to get stuck there. Or maybe do. I guess it's up to you. Maybe you want to pull a reverse Back to the Future Part 2 and make some sports bets.

Have you ever wanted to stay at an AirBnB hosted by Bigfoot? Of course you have, we all do. The ParaBabble team sets out to find the strangest AirBnB's they can find. They definitely wish this was a more popular thing back when they were ghost hunting every weekend.
To finish up the 10 year ParaBabble celebration, Alison and Rob go through their list of their 10 least favorite episodes. In an attempt to not be so negative, they also bring a list of some of the episodes they feel are underrated.
Somehow we have been doing this for 10 years. In this very special episode, we go over our top 10 most listened to episodes over the past 10 years to try and figure out what everyone is interested in.
Was a 1980s school computer used to send messages through time? In this episode of ParaBabble, we explore the strange case of the Dodleston Messages—alleged communications from the 16th century (and maybe the future?) typed out on a BBC Micro in a quiet English village. Time travel, ghosts, hoax, or something weirder? Tune in as we dig into one of the strangest digital mysteries ever—and ask the question: could a haunted floppy dis...
That's it. After 150 episodes of ParaBabble, we have officially solved every paranormal mystery out there. There's nothing left for us to do.
Now that we are retired from paranormal investigations, we decided to reflect back on one of the stranger parts of that world- paranormal conventions. Hear some stories about the weird places we ended up in and the paranormal celebrities we've met. Some of these stories we never would have told during our active years, it would cause some serious para-drama!
On this episode of ParaBabble, we research the strange phenomenon known as the Fresno Night Crawlers. Are they aliens? Some strange unidentified creature? Maybe they're just pants? Find out on this episode!
In the windy city lights he roams. With wings of night he's all alone. Mothman's out with tales to tell. Chicago nights he's everywhere!
Mothman takes over another episode of ParaBabble with his recent come back attempt in Chicago!
Once again going into our days of ghost hunting, on this episode we discuss some of the techniques and methods we used during investigations. This was of course all before Rob retired, but it doesn't seem like much has changed! You never know when the ParaBabble crew will be pulled back into the strange world of the paranormal.
On this episode, we're each bringing several stories of first hand accounts from people who had encounters with strange cryptid creatures. It's always fun to learn about new cryptids, but it's even more fun to run into them!
In another episode that might be the end of the show because we get ourselves into trouble, the ParaBabble team finally digs into the real story of the Men In Black. No, we don't mean Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones. We're talking about the creepy men in black who may or may not be human that have been terrorizing UFO witnesses for decades (and perhaps longer)! If any MIB is listening, please do not visit us.
Back before we retired as paranormal investigators and decided to podcast for 5 people, we had a method of spiritual communication that we referred to as our "Spidey senses". It was the method of opening yourself up for communication using old school methods and no technology. Your senses were the tools. The ParaBabble team has always been split down the middle between more spiritual and scientific. Hear about it from both sides!
No longer being held to the will of AI, ParaBabble is back with another weird triangle. We aren't quite sure why paranormal happenings seem to form triangular shapes, but here we are again in Whales this time. Back in the 1970s, there were countless reports of UFOs and strange alien creatures. We're going to get to the bottom of this Welsh case... or at least as far to the bottom as we can get without having the men in black come v...

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
