On this episode of Paranoid in My Paradise @saimfarooqui @brooklynletson @jseremyritchie18 have @spencerrnoble on to converse about Perfectionism and People Pleasing. We talk about how each can affect us in both negative and positive ways. Perfectionism in life can often make you feel unhappy and lead to depression, anxiety, eating disorders, self-harm and many more health disorders. Why do we set unrealistically high expectations for ourselves? How are Standards different than perfectionism? Spencer is currently balancing kinesiology and nursing degrees, she states that often failure is a big fear, especially when it comes to perfectionism, however, she also states that without perfectionism she might not be where she is today. Spencer defines it as both helpful, and non-helpful. People pleasing can intertwine with perfectionism. People pleasers avoid conflict and take care of other's feelings/needs before giving a thought to their own, and usually cannot say no to others. This is often a sign of past trauma/current trauma. How does this affect us? Why is it important that we set boundaries, and get ourselves out of a people-pleasing mindset? Join us on today's episode for real talk. #notalone  Guest Instagram - @spencerrnoble As always thank you for tuning into Paranoid in My Paradise.
