Ever wondered how a chance encounter in an automotive repair shop could spark an unexpected journey into the world of podcasting? Join us as we celebrate the one-year anniversary of Paranormal 956, where Bianca and I, David, revisit our humble beginnings at Texas Southmost College. You'll laugh along with us as we recount Bianca's bold, candid questions that set the foundation for a friendship that has since evolved into a unique podcasting duo, and how those initial sparks of curiosity have fueled our creative partnership and set the stage for many adventures ahead.

Reflecting on our teenage years, we dive into the dynamics of teamwork and leadership through the lens of a high school senior project. It was a time of big dreams and bigger personalities, where the importance of selecting the right team members became clear. With tales of navigating language barriers and unexpected leadership roles, I share how collaborating with classmates, including our class president Daniel, taught invaluable lessons about efficiency and camaraderie. These experiences not only shaped our school lives but also laid the groundwork for our podcast's evolution.

From spooky YouTube channel ideas to the serendipitous world of TikTok food reviews, our journey has been nothing short of a rollercoaster. We reminisce about the shared experiences that have fortified our bond, including surviving a car accident together, which only strengthened our resolve to pursue this creative path. Through humor and resilience, we've faced hurdles head-on, leading to unexpected friendships and a growing global audience. Listen in as we update you on ongoing developments from our accident saga and express our gratitude for a journey that continues to surprise and inspire us.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
bianca, uh we turn or we have a year together in this
project.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
So I don't know guys it's our anniversary, so I think
bianca's button wasn't working.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
No, I think it's kind of like I think it's a poor
local.
Anyways, it's been a year of usrecording.
It's been a crazy yearrecording.
It has been way more than Iever thought it would be.
I mean we've done the show forthe fans.

(00:59):
Let's just say that.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
We've given content, we've given.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
We show up.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
Our tears sweat, yeah , and everything say that yeah,
we've given content, we've givenwe show up our tears, sweat,
yeah, and everything, and mybrain cells right, right right
so with this episode, we'regonna look back, we're gonna the
origin.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Our origin story.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
Yeah, how it all started, how we became what we
are now.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
And what we're about to become.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
So let's go.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
Congratulations, Bianca.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Congratulations, David.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
You lasted a year with me.
I wasn't.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
I don't think I was going to make it.
I don't think I was going tomake it.
I didn't think you were goingto make it.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
Yeah, I almost didn't make it, you almost didn't make
it, yeah.
So what a year this has been.
So my idea for this episode wasto kind of look back, kind of
give our origin story, because Ido think we're a strange couple
to a lot of people.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
Of course yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
And even though we are very much alike, we're both
Aries.
We're very, very different aswell, right.
So our origin story.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
We're going back to 2018, 2019, more so.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
So math isn't our strong point, right?

Speaker 1 (02:24):
But yes, we don't keep track.
We isn't our strong point, right, but yes, we don't keep
track.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
We don't keep track Of that.
We don't keep track of ouranniversary, right, but the
show's anniversary True.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
We only know, because it was like October 13th, I
think, when we started, yes, orOctober 31st, yes, it was the
13th.
My dyslexia is kind of hitting, yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Yeah, we wanted to start our show on.
October 13th yeah spooky yearBecause it was Friday the 13th.
Yeah, and that might have beena mistake, because this is it's
been a spooky year.
This year has been some shit.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
So Okay.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Bianca and I met at Texas Southmost College, not
sponsored.
Not sponsored, not sponsored.
We both were automotive repairstudents.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Automotive technology yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
And so I started school a year before Bianca.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
And I finished After A year after.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
Bianca.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
So so and this was before the jury right, yes, I
was so, just so you guys knowit's been like that yeah, it's
no surprise, yeah, yeah so let'sjust say I'm, I'm an
overachiever, yeah, yes, okay.

(03:46):
So Bianca and I met.
She was in a different cohortthan I am, right, I was, and I
also am older than our teacher,my teacher at the time, right.
And so one day in the shop, bianca and her classmates all

(04:06):
approach me like at the sametime, with questions what are
you doing here, are you ateacher, etc.
Etc right and so you know Idon't have anything to hide.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
So I'm answering your questions yeah, as an aries,
you don't give a fuck I don'tcare.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
I mean, I know that I look old and y'all were all
like 18 or 19 at the time.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
And so I'm, like, old enough to be all your parents.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
Yeah, I think a lot of-.
We were just questioning yourauthority around the shop,
basically.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
I think it was hard for you all to get your head
around the fact that somebody-.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
That you were just somebody, simple student, right
right, that somebody my agewould just be a student right,
which I was.
We thought you were a moleright, which I kind of was.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
Kind of was okay, um, because my wife works for the
school yeah, and now she's usingme right, anyway, it's a common
.
That's another story.
It's a common scenario.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
That's a story for the future, guys.
Further episodes down.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
In the questions you asked me if I had kids and I say
no.
And my dumb ass Freakedeverybody out.
Yeah, Like why don't you havekids?

Speaker 1 (05:24):
My dumb ass asked why it was yeah Like, why don't you
have kids?
My dumb ass asked why it was meguys it was me, and I say my
nosy chismosa ass asked why.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
And I say because you already had a kid by that time.
Oh yeah, so you're like aheadof me in this race, yeah.
And so it probably wasconfusing to you Like I said I'm
a no-.
Yeah, you're laughing me now,right?

Speaker 1 (05:52):
and so I say that my wife and I can't have kids.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
The way we do it and yanka like that was, she like
had like a spasm attack with theanswer to that question so I
was like so that was like how wemet yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
So that was like the measuring of confidence and like
comedy wise.
Yeah, I just gotta ask why, youknow.
Yeah, so people are comfortableenough to tell me why, or they
don't, like I'll just be, likeokay, I gotta back off, or like
I'll keep the jokes going andstuff like that you know, so I
guess that's how I measure.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
Right, and so at that point I mean I knew who you
were.
Right, I think everybody knewwho everybody was, but you
weren't really on my radar as,like Friendship-wise, this
girl's going to be in my lifefor the long haul.
I wasn't thinking that at thispoint.
However, however, very shortlyafter that, again in the shop.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
Right.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
And there is a new cohort.
So I'm in a cohort and Biancacomes right behind me.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
Keep in mind, I'm not the only girl.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
She's not the only girl.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
I know this story.
And this is like the favoritememory of me in David's head.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
Yes, this is true.
This is true.
This is where I knew I needthis girl in my life.
Right, okay, but I will saythis you weren't not only were
you, not only the only, you werenot the only girl, you were not
the only cute girl either no, Imean like they're all pretty to

(07:24):
be honest.
So it was like if guys.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
Tabitha had her.
Thing.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
Kim had her thing yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
I was just funny bro.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
Right, you were definitely funny, and so the
thing that people that don'tknow Bianca may not realize is
that she's a bit of a stand-upcomedian.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
Without pay I've said this before Without pay end up
comedian, but and without pay.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
I've said this before without pay.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
So in our shop, whenever we would have like
downtime breaks or lunch, because sometimes we would have
class up to four hours and stufflike that.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
So you know she would start telling stories and would
just attract a crowd.
Now, keep in mind, her storiesare in Spanish, so I wasn't
really in that crowd, right?

Speaker 1 (08:08):
I didn't.
There was no point of you beingin that crowd.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
I wouldn't understand , but the crowd is like rolling
on the ground.
Everybody's laughing, and so,one of these days, I'm nearby.
It's not a big shop, I'm nearby.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
It's like a hallway of like, like, what do you want
to call?
It's just like a hallway.
It's not that hard to misssomeone across walking we have.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
We have eight stalls, I think in total is it eight
and something like that.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
So let's just say, like eight cars parked next to
each other in a parking lot Justthat's how much.
You got to walk in the distance.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
Right, so you don't miss anything.
So you could hear Bianca on theopposite side.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
I'm loud guys, I'm loud.

Speaker 2 (08:56):
And it's also loud in there.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
Yeah so you hear the echo, me screaming, laughing and
the guys laughing, so it's likea whole show right yeah not all
the teachers were a huge fan ofthat, by the way, but man,
odyssey, loved me.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
Let's be honest, it's true anyways, um so on, this
one particular day that's verymemorable to me, you're there
with your friends and I, forsome reason, I'm very close, I
don't remember why, but this kidcomes up and he's, I think, in
the cohort behind you and hestarts, I guess, playing his

(09:36):
game okay and even though weweren't close friends, right, we
worked together in the shopenough and I saw you, enough
that I saw your body language, that you weren't having this
from go.
So bianca does this thing whenshe's trying to figure somebody
out where she kind of stands ina way that it looks like she's

(09:58):
squaring you up to fight.
Right, and this kid is the sameheight as her.
So they're both.
They're both short, at leastcompared to me okay.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
So keep in mind, I don't give a fuck about height,
I don't give a fuck about age, Idon't give a fuck about nothing
if it's gonna go down if it'sgonna go down, it's gonna go
down yeah.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
and so this kid comes up and he's like hey, you
should, you should give me yournumber and we should go out
sometime and all this stuff.
And I'm kind of watchingbecause From a distance.
From a distance, because I'veseen Bianca go off already.
It didn't take long.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
Like week one she goes off.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
Yeah, it doesn't take too much to make me mad, she's
a firecracker with a very shortfuse, yeah, right, and so I'm
here to watch, right?
Don't be a faggot, I'm just oneof the guys.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
I'm just one of the guys.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
That was one of the funniest things I had ever heard
in my life, and so that was themoment I was like I need this
lady in my life from here on out, right.
So fast forward, like anotheryear, maybe a year and a half,
but we have to do a seniorproject.
Oh yeah, the project wasprobably.
Yeah, maybe a year and a half,I don't know.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
But we have to do a senior project.
Oh yeah, the project wasprobably.
Yeah, like a year later.

Speaker 2 (11:16):
Another year goes by and we're still not close.
No, In fact, I was closer withTabitha and Kimberly than I was
with you.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:26):
And even at that I wasn't super close with them
either.
But anyway, we do our seniorproject where we have to build
like a whole shop.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
Okay, so keep in mind , David is like mostly English.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (11:38):
And my main one was Spanish.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
Also true.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
So I think that was kind of like a that's Like we're
not going to communicate.
Because Kim was pretty good inEnglish all the time.
Tabitha as well.
Yes, their Spanish wasn't likeall there and so we went.
I mean, they know spanish, butit wasn't like their first
language.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
Let's just put it like that and so we went to
school with several guys thatwere from mexico that would walk
across every day and so spanishwas most of their dominant
dominant language, because thatwas the one that everybody had
in common.

Speaker 1 (12:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
Except me, right.
So I was like the odd one out.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
In a lot of these scenarios, but you were like in
the center of all of it.
Yeah Right.
So then our senior projectcomes up.
We have to do like apresentation for like a real
shop that we're going to build.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
Oh, that's, true, yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
And, like the whole thing, the floor plans.

Speaker 1 (12:36):
So it was basically the land.
What does the city ask for, like safety, wise and all that.
How much it would cost to buildit, the tools, how much it
would cost how much.
How would you pay youremployees?
It was like a bunch of likewhat our services, we were gonna
do, what a legit business waslike if we had any deals during

(12:58):
the week, like how are we gonnaget business in?
yeah the, you know the area andall that extra stuff.
So it was like a legit likehard-on project, like it took a
long time to do that, yeah, hewas like.
Nah, like I'm gonna hit him.
I hit him hard, you know and so.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
So the way that they did decided to grade this was to
make team captains, and we weregonna pick a team to do the
best project.
I was one of the captains.
Our friend, our dear friend, edgar, was another captain.
Yeah, which was a bad choice, Ithink, as far as captain.

Speaker 1 (13:36):
I love Edgar.
Edgar is like.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
He's one of the sweetest people you will ever
meet.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
Yes, he's like super chill.
He's funny when you have to befunny, like he'll take a joke or
two and like he goes along withanyone Easygoing.
Just chill as fuck, but but asa leader.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
I don't think so.
No, not as a team leader, no.
So his idea, his strategy forbuilding his team was to get all
the quote unquote cool people,I think, and his friends the
funny ones.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
The chill ones yeah.
Like the funny ones, the chillones.
Yeah, like the cool ones, thelaid back ones, you know.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
My strategy was I want an A in this.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
Right, right.
We just want to get the projectover with and done deal.

Speaker 2 (14:22):
Yeah, I want people that are going to work.
I want people that are smart.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
Wait, we got Jonathan right.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
So I didn't.
He was the leftovers.
I think he was the last pick.
Jonathan Wright, so I didn't,he was the leftovers.
I think he was the last pick.
He was the last pick.
Yeah, he was the last pick.
So my first pick was you, though, and because I had been
the class president, you wereinvolved in my administration.

Speaker 1 (14:43):
You got shit done.
So that's the thing.
I never ran for president asthe class goes.
I never ran for president asthe class goes for the fact that
not that I was a girl, it'sjust the fact that people
already saw me as some type ofleadership where, like I would
help everyone out and stuff likethat.
Like I didn't want to be put inin that spot.

(15:04):
So like a higher, so I was asecond.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
I was a second class president.
You helped us both doeverything we did.
I already saw that.
So Daniel was our first classpresident and everything he did
I think it was- you doing itRight.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
In a way yeah.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
And I love Daniel too , right.

Speaker 1 (15:26):
Yeah, he got good ideas and stuff, yeah.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
But you're the one that got stuff done.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
But I guess in my part also running a secretary,
it was more like this is gonnahappen.
I just need your approval yeah, yeah I think this is where my
thing comes in right like sowhen getting shit done.
I just need your approval andthis is gonna happen.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
You let it run right so when I became president, I
had already seen you workingwith daniel and I wanted you in
to work with me because of thatreason.
So then when we got our seniorproject, you were my first pick
because I was like she's gonnaget stuff done, like you got
legs where you're running right, like you get stuff done.
So I was like I'm gonna pickher.

(16:07):
And then I had a few otherideas.
Some panned out some didn't.

Speaker 1 (16:11):
so as an aries, whatever the fuck, I don't know,
I'm going to find out, yeah.

Speaker 2 (16:15):
So during our project right, I don't remember that it
was required, but because of mebeing able to do certain things
, we made a commercial.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
Yeah, it was just like a random idea.
I think that you brought it up.
Or did I bring it up Because Iwas already in marketing already
.

Speaker 2 (16:34):
Yeah, you were in marketing, and so I was like I
can make a commercial and thiswon't be hard and we shot it in
a day.

Speaker 1 (16:40):
Yeah, same day, not even an hour, I think.
Not even an hour, yeah we justwent over a little script and I
added a little joke or two andthat's it.

Speaker 2 (16:50):
Yeah, so we made the commercial.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
It's on YouTube, guys .
It's on YouTube.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
And we made a blooper , we'll share it on our Facebook
page.
Yeah, yeah, it's funny and sowhen that happened, that's where
our friendship really startedto grow, because we spent a lot
of time on that project.
We talked a lot more.
I think your true colors.
My English got better your truecolors started coming out right
like and so um I think youunderstood my jokes more now

(17:19):
that I speak more english withyou probably right, yeah, that's
what happened and soit was a language barrier and so
when we did the video, you werethinking like, oh, like you
wanted to get into YouTube anddo all this stuff at the time.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
Because it was funny.

Speaker 2 (17:38):
Generally it was funny.
We did a very good job, andvery quickly, yeah.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
And so we started talking, and for Smiley to do it
.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
Awesome.

Speaker 1 (17:45):
Very impressive.
We did the job, we made himlook like a star.

Speaker 2 (17:49):
Yeah, we did.
Yeah, he looked good in the inthe video why the fuck did you
pick him though?

Speaker 1 (17:55):
because that was all he did so, smiley, let's just
put it at yeah, I'm not gonnasay just smiley, just smiley
yeah, he was smiling.
He's a great, he's great niceguy he's great at smiling
whatever he's good at whateverhe does, he's just gonna smile

(18:19):
real quick.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
I'm gonna tell a smiley story right now.
Yes, so after we got ourcertificates right, which ones
our certificate are the firstyear completed?

Speaker 1 (18:31):
yeah, okay, first year completed.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
Yeah, first year completed, so now we're all
going for our associate's degree, Our associate's?

Speaker 1 (18:35):
yeah.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
And one of the classes that's supposed to be a
super easy A is basically aquick review of our first year.
Right, we have that as oneclass, and so we went through
electronics and we went throughengines and we went through all
this breaks and all this stuff, and so this class is just a real
quick survey of everything Iremember now.

(18:58):
And so we're in class and Ialways sit in the front row
because I have zero attentionspan and Bianca sat right behind
me.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
And I have ADHD and I still manage to pass.

Speaker 2 (19:10):
So Smiley and Bianca are sitting right behind me.

Speaker 1 (19:14):
You were sitting right behind me.

Speaker 2 (19:16):
And so our teachers.
I'm not even really takingnotes.
I'm probably playing Pokemon onmy game because it was such an
easy class for me.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
Right, because it's everything we learned, we have
the notes anyways.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
It's super easy class and so we're talking about
electrical, because we reallydid like one whole class in a
week.
Yeah, like super fast.
And so the teacher says that theteacher is going over how to
jump a car Right and and I'mjust like bored out of my mind

(19:49):
and Smiley raises his hand andhe goes wait a minute, wait a
minute, wait a minute, wait aminute, wait a minute.
And we've already been inschool a year and we all have
our certificates right.
And he says you're telling methat if my battery's dead and
your battery works, that you canget my car running with your

(20:10):
battery.

Speaker 1 (20:12):
Bro, we all lost it.

Speaker 2 (20:14):
I was like this cannot be real right now.
I didn't know very much aboutcars when we started school, but
I knew that.

Speaker 1 (20:23):
Yes, so the thing is that we I think that was around
the second semester we hadSmiley in.
Well, I had Smiley in the class, I think.
Yeah, I don't remember clearly, but it was around the second
semester we had smiley in.
Well, I had smiley in the class, I think.
Yeah, I don't remember clearly, but it was around that time and
I was like what the fuck did?
He just say?
So I was like hey, wait.
I was like ask it again.

Speaker 2 (20:43):
The teacher says mr desi says smiley, I'll talk to
you after class yeah, later andbianca says no, no, no, no, no.
I was like no, no, say thatagain because I want the whole
class to know how stupid you areand I'm like holy shit because

(21:07):
what the?
Fuck yeah.
So our, our, our little projectwas another year later, that's
true, and Smiley was in chargeof the acting that we did in an
hour.

Speaker 1 (21:20):
That's all we could trust him in.

Speaker 2 (21:21):
Yeah, and so you and I on that project.
Man, I spent a long time, and Iknow you did too, because
you're the one who did theproperty and all that.

Speaker 1 (21:31):
So I was looking through the property prices, the
prices of tools, the prices onseveral things.
Fernando, I think he did thewhole PowerPoint thing.

Speaker 2 (21:43):
Yeah, I think so I don't remember exactly.
I remember Abraham getting alot of prices for stuff.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
Yeah, he did the city what the city needed.

Speaker 2 (21:52):
Yeah, our licenses and stuff.

Speaker 1 (21:54):
And then Jonathan.
What the fuck did Jonathan do?

Speaker 2 (21:59):
I don't remember what Jonathan did.

Speaker 1 (22:02):
Who else was in the group?

Speaker 2 (22:04):
I think that was it Anyway.

Speaker 1 (22:06):
Damn.

Speaker 2 (22:06):
So because our commercial came out.
It's been a long what it's beenlike what?

Speaker 1 (22:10):
It's been a while Four or five, like five years
ago Shit, but anyways it wasaround.

Speaker 2 (22:17):
Wait a minute, man.
That's crazy, cause we'vealmost.
How long have we been friends?

Speaker 1 (22:24):
2018 Around that time , yeah, 2019, the latest, for
sure so we've been.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
I feel like it's longer than that anyway.
So long story short, we made agood commercial yeah and so we
started talking about.
You know, I'd make a goodyoutube channel oh, that's true
is if we did the paranormalstuff right, because we go to a
haunted school and we talk aboutghosts a lot oh, because we
started talking about ghosts, because sometimes in the shop

(22:54):
like there's some type of noiseyeah, on the roof and we would
think that it was the air.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
And they were like no , like it happens, like even
when it's not blowing air likestuff like that, or they would
tell us.
It was like allegedly, you know, someone got killed around here
or something like that, and westarted talking about ghosts and
stuff like that and that wasabout the the broom challenge.
It was around that time okay, the broom challenge that, that
you just leave it like yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

(23:22):
So there was this motherfuckerprank me bro.
I was like who the fuck didthis shit, because I'm very
fucking like.
I believe in all this fuckingyeah, scary, shit right and this
fucking skeptical ass fuckingdecides to do this prank on me.
I was like nah, fuck, no.

Speaker 2 (23:39):
So to explain what she's talking about, at the time
there was kind of a YouTubetrend or Facebook where you
would get a broom and you wouldstand it up.
Was there TikTok by then?
Not yet.
And so you would stand thebroom on its end and it would
just stand there and what youwould do is you would do that

(24:00):
kind of behind somebody, wherethey didn't see it, and they
would turn around and there'sjust a broom standing.
It was creepy and so that'swhat I did and so, yeah, we were
talking about ghosts and italways seems to be around
Halloween with us, and so wetalked about starting a YouTube
channel and like going to placesand doing road trips.

Speaker 1 (24:22):
Like cemeteries and stuff.
Like give us a good place toget like buried and stuff.

Speaker 2 (24:27):
Yeah, so at one point .

Speaker 1 (24:29):
But David didn't want to die.

Speaker 2 (24:31):
Yeah, try not to die.
At one point.
But David didn't want to dieyeah, try not to die.

Speaker 1 (24:39):
And so for some reason I don't remember why we
went to main event on the otherside of the valley.
But I remember Brooklyn'sgraduation, I think.

Speaker 2 (24:43):
Maybe she graduated it was because of Brooklyn.

Speaker 1 (24:45):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (24:46):
And so that trip, because you're not a traveler,
I'm not a traveler.

Speaker 1 (24:52):
Guys, I'm such a homebody.
I love the 956, but I'm notgoing to travel outside
Brownsville.
To be honest.
Well, I'll go for an hour trip, but I'm not going to go over
two, three hours.
To be honest, I'm not going togo over there.

Speaker 2 (25:05):
So because of that I kind of knew our road trip
thing's not going to work out.
Yeah Right.

Speaker 1 (25:18):
This isn't gonna work like you didn't like it.
You, I mean, you like the mainevent, but the driving part was
like agony for you.
Yeah, and I could tell thething.
The thing I think is like theadhd yeah and then you're just
driving in the highway and youdon't have anything to like pay
attention to.
It's like kills me yeah, so Iknew right then but now we have
tiktok, so I'm pretty sure I canhandle it.

Speaker 2 (25:32):
So at the time I knew that wasn't going to work Right
.
But you got real into TikTok atthat point and you were like
you know what you need to get onthis.
It's like such an addiction.

Speaker 1 (25:44):
Oh, that's true.
I told you to download TikTok,that's true.

Speaker 2 (25:46):
That's true and so funny story is you saw, you saw
this food reviewer and she hadlike 26,000 views and she went
to this.
I think she went to the NewYork Deli or Main Street Deli in
Brownsville.
Main Street and you were likehow the fuck does she have this
you?

Speaker 1 (26:01):
know all this stuff.

Speaker 2 (26:02):
You should totally do this, because I go to
restaurants all over.

Speaker 1 (26:05):
So David does the barbecue thing, he does like
this whole food review thing, but he only does it for Facebook
, for like his family andfriends, and he has it public.
But the thing is that he neverwent on tiktok.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
I was like, bro, just go on tiktok and do it, yeah so
at the same time thanks to me,yes and so so also, covid
happens around here too, and sonow you and I are really like we
can't do this paranormal shit, cause it's like COVID is going
on and we know that the day thethe traveling's not going to

(26:38):
work, all this stuff.
So I go off and I start mycareer in social media and and
do your own thing by yourself onthe COVID era.

Speaker 1 (26:47):
Yeah Right.

Speaker 2 (26:48):
And so during.
With restaurants that were openRight Stuff like that, yeah,
and so, ironically, the girl'svideo that you showed me is now
a friend of mine.

Speaker 1 (26:57):
Oh, that's true.

Speaker 2 (26:58):
And so that's kind of a funny story.

Speaker 1 (27:00):
Yeah.
And so You're welcome.

Speaker 2 (27:03):
And so, while we're doing, while I'm doing this
Right, yeah, I'm like Time-after COVID it's like OK like
okay, yeah, everything's openingup.
Cool, everyone's vaccinated.
You graduate, yeah, I graduate.
We still hang out we still hangout.

Speaker 1 (27:18):
Yeah, we talk once in a while.
We keep updates and stuff likethat and then we're like, hey,
what about?
Remember yeah that time we weretalking about doing this and
this and that, like what if?
What if we actually movetowards the plan?

Speaker 2 (27:35):
right and instead of doing all this fancy youtube
stuff we just straight recordand we do podcasts yeah and so
that's how we started, and Ididn't expect so many places to
pick us up so quickly.
We applied for nine or tenplaces to take us and we're on

(27:59):
like 25 yeah and we have beenlistened to on every continent.
It's crazy, though, we haveviews from all over the world.

Speaker 1 (28:09):
Yeah, and it is even if it's just one, we just take
it right, we just take it it'sit's very humbling.

Speaker 2 (28:17):
It's been a wonderful ride yeah um you have the one
where we got in a car wreck, butright besides need a little bit
of an omission of the one theone day, but you truly have
become one of my best friends ohfor sure I don't, I don't know,
almost losing our lives.

(28:38):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, and so we'vereally been through it.
Um, what would you say on yourside?
Like is your proudest moment ofour episode so far, like of our
journey so far?

Speaker 1 (28:54):
Of our journey.

Speaker 2 (28:54):
Yeah, on our podcast journey.

Speaker 1 (28:56):
That we survived, I guess.

Speaker 2 (28:59):
The accident yeah.

Speaker 1 (29:01):
No, I'm truly grateful that we actually
survived and we're like okay, asof right now.

Speaker 2 (29:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (29:08):
Even if, like, we have further things to work on,
because it's still an ongoingcase and stuff like that, yeah,
so we still have another fewmonths into, so I guess we could
give an update, right.
Yeah, yeah, we can do that Tofinish it off.

Speaker 2 (29:26):
So Bianca and I recently went and had to meet at
the police station to sign somepapers.
They are going to try toprosecute the person who hit us.
They said that if he pleadsguilty after two months, this is
going to be a thing of the past.
But if he doesn't, then we'regoing to have to testify and

(29:49):
it's going to be a long,drawn-out process.

Speaker 1 (29:52):
We're hoping to get the tapes, the body cams.
We're hoping.

Speaker 2 (29:56):
So I think Bianca's hoping more than me, because I
have heard I don't remember anyof it Me neither.

Speaker 1 (30:04):
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (30:05):
But I have heard that I was very violent.

Speaker 1 (30:08):
Oh shit.

Speaker 2 (30:09):
And that I was actually tackled because I was
walking around.

Speaker 1 (30:13):
Well, also that, but I want to see myself knocked out
.
I haven't seen someone knock meout.

Speaker 2 (30:18):
Yeah, so Bianca was knocked out.
I am still dealing with healthissues at this point.
Yeah, I have an MRI.
I may need surgery on my skull.
We're hoping not, but to ruleit out I have an MRI coming up,
just in case we stop recordingagain.
It might be because we're gonnakeep taking these breaks, yeah,

(30:38):
um, but hopefully we're out ofthe woods.
Man, life has hit us so hardit's been a heck of a year.

Speaker 1 (30:44):
To be honest, it's been.

Speaker 2 (30:45):
That's the thing I love that our relationship is
the way we talk or we messageeach other every single day,

(31:05):
right, and even if it's likememes or or posts or like
updates.
Dumb videos.

Speaker 1 (31:13):
Dumb videos or anything like that.

Speaker 2 (31:15):
We message each other so much that I often send
Bianca stuff and she responds.
I just saw that Literally onthe same route.
Yeah, our algorithm is the same.

Speaker 1 (31:29):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (31:31):
And so, but I mean the things that we've been
through.
I mean, you've had another kidyeah we've had the accident,
we've lost people this year, this and it's still happening
you know, like um.
My wife is at mybrother-in-law's funeral right

(31:52):
now in California after we,You're taking some part of it.
Yeah, yeah yeah, it's been busy, busy.
Yeah, it's like real life isdone.

Speaker 1 (31:59):
We're still trying to push the podcast guys and like
we hope you guys understand likeI tried posting on the website
whenever on the Facebook pagewhenever David was like in
recovery and stuff, but hewasn't even awake, yeah, you
know.
So David is awake now, but butthe thing is that we're still

(32:20):
going through a lot.
Yeah, we're still hoping to getmore episodes in.
We don't plan on giving justbecause of whatever outside
reason besides our personal life.
Right, we do appreciate youguys.
Yeah, through all this process, the listening, we hope you guys

(32:44):
laugh with us because we takeeverything as a joke, honestly.

Speaker 2 (32:48):
That's.

Speaker 1 (32:49):
Even though it was near yeah.

Speaker 2 (32:53):
That is the best part of our relationship.

Speaker 1 (32:56):
And my wife is super confused.

Speaker 2 (33:00):
A lot of times she's like her jokes are so rough and
you don't do anything about itand I'm like, cause it's Bianca,
cause it's funny, yeah, andit's like you're the only person
that roasts me to the levelthat you roast me.

Speaker 1 (33:15):
And I am.
What was the last roast?

Speaker 2 (33:18):
I don't even know where it started.

Speaker 1 (33:19):
Oh I think it was.
The lesson was like oh, thankGod it was Bianca, Thank God it
was Bianca in the car crash andnot the dogs, because you're
like I'll be dead if it was likegoing sandy.
It was like, oh yeah, thank Godit was Bianca, but, yeah, dead
if it was like going sandy I waslike oh yeah thank god it was
bianca, but yeah, yeah so, butit's jokes, guys, like I take
everything as a joke, like it'scool, and david knows this, so I

(33:42):
don't, he doesn't take it hard.
I don't take it hard.
I hope you guys don't take ithard like that.
Yeah, um, it's just my copingmechanism yeah, either you laugh
it up.
You laugh it up or you cry itout, and I prefer to laugh it up
.

Speaker 2 (33:57):
I 100% think that's what it is.

Speaker 1 (34:00):
It's pretty amazing.
What can I say?

Speaker 2 (34:06):
It's been an amazing year, bianca.
Thank you for being my partnerin this journey, because it has
been crazy.
A year I will never forget andI am excited to see what this
next year is going to be like ohshit, yep, we'll keep you guys
posted, We'll see how it goes.

(34:27):
We really do appreciate you allthat are listening.
We hope you stay safe.
We're going to try.
We hope you stay safe.
We're gonna try our caraccidents guys.
We're gonna try our best tostay safe um wear your seat
belts.
Don't drunk drive and because welike trying new things, we're
going to be doing more alcoholreviews yeah so keep your eyes

(34:49):
out for that yeah, but we don'tdrive no no, we really don't.
We yeah, yeah, but we don'tdrive, no, no.

Speaker 1 (34:54):
We really don't.

Speaker 2 (34:55):
We get in enough accidents sober, we don't need
any more accidents.
However, I haven't told youthis.
Why?
So I was recently inFredericksburg.
My friends all enjoy drinkingwine.

Speaker 1 (35:08):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (35:09):
I don't drink wine.

Speaker 1 (35:10):
I don't do wine.

Speaker 2 (35:11):
We don't do wine.

Speaker 1 (35:12):
We don't drink wine.
I don't do wine.
We don't do wine.
We don't do wine.
I don't really drink.

Speaker 2 (35:14):
Angie does wine, angie does wine and her friends
do wine, and so I went toFredericksburg with my wife and
our friends to go to all thesewineries, et cetera, et cetera,
and they're all getting blazed.

Speaker 1 (35:25):
Oh, you got some.

Speaker 2 (35:26):
Yes, did I tell you already?
Yeah, so I'm going to to telly'all okay, so I pull out, look
I.

Speaker 1 (35:38):
I.

Speaker 2 (35:38):
I'm the designated driver because I don't, I don't
drink, and so I'm driving.

Speaker 1 (35:40):
I hardly drink, I taste you.
Yeah, you taste.
That's 100, true, but you don'teven get a buzz, it's just a
little shot.

Speaker 2 (35:47):
I do just sips yeah and I switch to something else.
So I'm driving my friends home,we're all drunk like super
drunk, and right now infredericksburg they're doing
construction on all of theirstreets at once, for some reason
, and so I stop at a red lightand don't think much of it, turn

(36:10):
right when it turns green andlook up and there's a cop
pulling me over and I'm pullover what's going on?

Speaker 1 (36:18):
you're not drunk, I'm not drunk.
Right, it's a pull up, run anddo a high speed chase wasn't
speeding.

Speaker 2 (36:25):
I stopped at the light.
I didn't.
I waited till it was green, because I'm not in a rush, right
, blah, blah.
The cop comes over and he saysthat I stopped in a crosswalk
when there's no paint on theground.
So I don't know how he knewthat, but that he needs to check
my if I don't have warrants andall this stuff right okay.

(36:48):
And then he says I noticed thatyou're slurring your speech.
Have you been drinking?
And I say actually I have atraumatic brain injury, right.
And everybody in the car likegasps, like oh no, don't tell
him that, right, because I'mdriving.
Right With brain damage, butit's not damage like that.

(37:11):
And I tell the guy I go, don'tworry, it just affects my vision
and my reflexes and everybody'slike just don't make me walk in
a straight line, because Iprobably couldn't do it, but
anyway, my life is weird it'sbeen weird.

Speaker 1 (37:35):
I mean, I went to work like two days after no, I
got one day off and then thenext day I went to work and they
were like what happened?
I was like I was in a caraccident, like, oh, that's why
you can't walk.
I was like, yeah, I come tokind of sore, like what happened
.
And then, like weeks later, Igot the pictures.
I was like this is whathappened.
They're like what.
Yeah, weeks later I got thepictures and I was like this is
what happened.
They're like what.

Speaker 2 (37:55):
Yeah, so this story that Bianca's telling, I wasn't
even awake yet.

Speaker 1 (37:58):
No, yeah, he wasn't.

Speaker 2 (37:59):
I was like so like the first week after the
accident.
I don't remember anything, soI'm going to say people did
things to me.

Speaker 1 (38:10):
They put you to sleep without consent.

Speaker 2 (38:18):
Yeah, because it's like did you go to a pdd party?
I probably did during that time.
Allegedly, allegedly yeah, butI did when I got into my therapy
you were all oiled up right, why do I keep sliding out of the
bed?
Yeah, maybe we should drinkless when we record.

(38:38):
Yeah, that's it for tonight.
Thank you guys.
Thank you guys, we will see youall next keep you posted,
whatever happens next, bye.
