As the automobile became more popular, so did people finding ways to get around the country. Sometimes the easiest way was to just stick out a thumb.

We talk about the history of hitchhiking, its decline over the years, why it is perceived as dangerous, and some personal and third-party accounts of hitchhiking stories.
