Speaker 1 (00:10):
Welcome to the Park Magic podcast, your place for
insider tips for your nextDisneyland adventure.
Whether you're a first-timer orfirst-time in a while visitor,
we're here to unwrap the secretsto creating and simplifying
your dream Disneyland vacation.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
I hope you're feeling a little bit like Winnie the
Pooh, because today we're goingto be talking about snacks.
I am so excited because I haveCaleb from Caleb G Travels.
He's on YouTube.
That's the same handle he hasfor all the socials and he has
been going to Disneyland for areally long time.
I love your videos.
There are a couple of themwhere I was like I laughed at
one of them so loud.

(00:52):
My husband came into the otherroom and I was like don't mind
me, I'm working, I'm not onInstagram.
What are you talking about?

Speaker 3 (01:00):
Oh, thank you.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
So I'm a Southern California kid too.
I grew up in SoCal, but you'vebeen going since you were a kid
as well, right?

Speaker 3 (01:07):
So no, I'm actually not from Southern California.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Oh, you lived in Southern California yeah so I
live in LA now.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
I grew up in Texas and kind of like I lived in
Texas growing up in college, then lived on the East Coast in
DC for a while, then back toTexas briefly before LA.
So actually my Disneyexperience is growing up as a
kid was exclusively Disney Worldand like even into some of my
like young adult years.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Let's go ahead and let's start talking about snacks
, because for me, sometimes Iwill like skip a meal or two
altogether and just like snackthroughout the day, because
there are so many delicioussnacks that are available at
Disneyland.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Totally, I am the same way.
This is, like also one of thethings that I mean.
I love Disney World, but Ithink our like snack situation
is superior at Disneyland, because they certainly have some
great stuff over there on theEast Coast, but we have just so
many things that pop upseasonally, not just for
festivals but just every now andagain.
Obviously we have stuff now forthe 100th anniversary also.

(02:10):
Once you spend enough time atDisneyland and you go somewhat
regularly or even just a fewtimes, you start to really
realize just how much of a treatit is to like enjoy Disney
snacks at the parks.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
People just think about the sweet ones.
They're sweet, they're savory.
What is your favorite?
Disneyland?
And then your favoriteCalifornia adventure snack.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
My favorite Disneyland by far are the Mickey
Benye's that are usually atMint Julep.
That combo is like my favorite, like I just love Benye's in
general, but also getting themin the shape of a Mickey, that
is just like peak Disney snackfor me.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
That's one thing that I never had, because I didn't
know about them until after Iwas gluten free and I've thought
about like maybe I can justtake a bite and let's spit it
out, but Because people justrave about them, yes.
What about California adventure?
What's your favorite snack overthere?

Speaker 3 (03:04):
My favorite snack at California adventure oh my gosh,
I had this like down earlier.
Let me think about this.
Okay, I know my favorite snacknow at California adventure is
actually a new one and I hope itsticks around for a while and
it's the Baymax Macaron at LuckyFortune.
I really love macarons andsometimes, honestly, I think

(03:26):
Disney's macarons are a littlehit or miss, depending on how
well the macaron is made.
But I really love this one.
It's like a chocolate andhazelnut mix.
Ooh, that smells delicious.
Yes, it is so tasty.
It's not super heavy, it'spretty light.
I also love Big Hero 6.
I'm a fan of anything Big Hero6 themed, so this is a new one.
I love it, and I've alreadygotten them a couple of times.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
I think that sometimes people are like you
need to calm down, why do I needa Dolwhip T-shirt?
But I know a lot of people thatare really passionate about
specific snacks and I havememories of eating my frozen
banana, sitting on the edge ofMain Street waiting for the
parade to come by.
They're all of our memories andthese really great moments that
we've had with our families oreven just with friends are kind

(04:10):
of tied in with the smells andthe tastes of these snacks.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
Absolutely, and I think it speaks to what makes
Disney so special historicallyand why the magic of it is so
lasting in ways that really noother sort of theme park can
compare to, because the classicDisney snacks are not like the
one I just mentioned, not tiedto a movie that did really well,

(04:37):
like one of their recent IPs.
It's like things that are justso unique and thoughtful and
they've just caught on andthey've become symbols and icons
of the park.
I mean, if you talk about adoll whip, most people who just
have barely any knowledge aboutDisney know exactly what you are
talking about.
It is part and parcel of Disney.

(04:58):
It is like an iconic thing and, like you said, it just creates
memories, like people take funpictures with doll whips or a
Mickey shaped ice cream bar orMickey bin, yay.
Or Disney churros.
They have found a way to makethese snacks just like some
attractions or shows orbuildings, things that people
want to come back to the parksfor.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
Yeah, and sometimes it's hard to explain, like, why
you love something so much.
I mean, my son loves the Mickeyice cream bars, my daughter
loves the Mickey Oreo ice creamsandwich.
Those are like some of theirfavorites and I know it's just
way overpriced for what it is.
But I love the roasted corn Ican't even tell you why.
And they have it with butterand then they have it with chili
seasoning as well.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
Yeah, I mean, you know, like things that Disney
are going to be a littleoverpriced, but there's just
like some sort of lasting Idon't know magic and nostalgia.
Even though, like a Mickey icecream bar, doesn't really taste
like that much different than, you know, a normal ice cream bar
, there's just like somethingabout enjoying that in the park
that is really unmatched.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
It really is.
So the one of the things aboutsnacking at Disney is candy
stores and stuff are open prettyearly in the day, but a lot of
the carts aren't open until alittle bit closer to lunchtime.

Speaker 3 (06:10):
Right, yeah, it's useful, especially if you're
like looking for specific thingsthat get an idea when things
open, because I don't know howmany times I'm just like not
thinking and like strolling, fully expecting to get what I
want immediately, only to findthat it's not open yet, and it's
always like a bummer.
So there are like a lot ofdifferent pieces to think about
if you know something specificyou want.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
But on the flip side, after nine o'clock a lot of the
restaurants close.
So if you are a late nightdiner, make sure you have a plan
, because a lot of therestaurants close and then the
mobile order for the ones thatstay open can get really backed
up.
So sometimes I'm like, okay, well, it looks like we're doing
turkey legs and corn tonight, orit looks like churro for dinner
, kind of night.

Speaker 3 (06:51):
Yeah, absolutely.
You definitely have to takeadvantage of the fact that
there's so much usefulinformation in the app or what
other tools are out there foryou to use, because things will
close earlier than you expectmaybe and, like you mentioned,
the quick service order windowswill get pushed far out.
For instance, like Disneyland,if you know you want something
from Jolly Holiday, you shouldplan ahead, order it like when

(07:13):
you get to the park, becausethat place order window can
sometimes be pushed two or threehours out, especially if
there's like an event or likeit's a special season or
something.
So you definitely want to planahead or something like that.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
The mobile order is great, but you can't rely on it.
Like sometimes you might lookat nine, you're like, oh, it
won't be a problem, but by thetime it gets close to lunch or
dinner it's so far out and thenyou have to replan and if you're
already stressed or tired itcan be just something that
pushes you over the limit.
So I'm kind of with you.
I say like, get into the park, book your first lightning lane

(07:46):
if you're gonna be genie.
Plus, as you're waiting in linein the first attraction mobile
order for lunch, and just haveit ready, you can always move
that time later.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
Yeah, absolutely Take advantage of the fact.
Like you said, you can modifyit and push it later, or you can
even cancel it If you as longas you don't hit the I'm here,
prepare my order button, you cancancel it.
it won't actually charge you but, like, if you are there and you
have like a set time limitespecially if you're there for,
like you know, vacation you onlyhave a certain amount of time.
It's more work on the front endbut it will pay off so much If

(08:15):
you know your meals and snacks,if you have an idea to just plan
ahead.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
One of the things that we built in Park Magic is
you can like filter for where dothey serve the turkey legs and
you can look at all of thedifferent snacks and then you
can save them and then add themto your trip.
But I think that there are somesnacks that we just need to
give them their own minute.
We've talked about the DoleWhip, because the Dole Whip is
so iconic and it's available intwo locations.

(08:41):
It's available mobile orderonly now, in front of the Tiki
Room and then at TropicalHideaway.
If you love Tiki Room andyou've always wondering whatever
happened to Rosita, rosita isnow available at the Tropical
Hideaway, so make sure you stopby and take a picture.
I got way too excited aboutthat.

Speaker 3 (08:59):
And, if I remember right, the one that's at the
Tiki Room, you may only be ableto get the traditional pineapple
soft serve which the Hideawayyou can get like multiple
options, which it's always likeso frustrating because, like I
want to mobile order so badlyand that why the Hideaway is
often very long, so it's alwaysa tough one.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
And it's so long because they have the Dole Whip
in different flavors.
They usually have likestrawberry and watermelon, but
then they also have these BaoBuns and La Lumpia, which are
really popular, and my husbandhad both of them and he's like
you know, when something'sreally good he's like they're
not good.
He like gave me that.
Like man, if you knew howdelicious this was, you'd be
upset.
You can't have it.
So he really liked them.

(09:39):
But I actually don't like DoleWhips that much.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
Oh no, is it like a pineapple thing, or is it like
the soft serve?

Speaker 2 (09:45):
Yeah, it's just like too much pineapple.
I love three bites, but thenafter three bites I'm like this
is just too much for me.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
So I often go the Hideaway route because I like to
get more than one flavor, because honestly I was not a
huge pineapple flavor personuntil I got into Dole Whips.
I think it like kind ofconverted me, but I almost
always get it like a swirl, usually pineapple and mango, so
that I'm getting like anotherflavor and not just pineapple,
because it can be a lot.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
It can be, and now you can get Dole Whips some
places outside of the park.

Speaker 3 (10:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
So that's kind of fun .
I think one of the other reallyiconic ones is the churro.

Speaker 3 (10:23):
Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
I haven't had like a Disneyland churro because I've
been gluten free for like 14years, but I can still remember
the way that it tasted and theway that it felt like when you
got a hot one.
And the key is you do want totry to make sure you can try to
get a hot one, because theytaste very different cold.
But now they have a lot ofthese specialty churros.
Do you want to talk a littlebit about that?

Speaker 3 (10:44):
Yeah, I love Disneyland churros and from
everything I hear now I feellike people are going to come
out because they're like I'mhating on Disney World.
But I really do love DisneyWorld.
I've been there in a couple ofweeks but everyone I've heard
says that the Disneyland churrosare far superior.
I've never had a churro atDisney World so it can attest to
it.
But yeah, often we have reallycool and fun seasonal or special

(11:05):
flavored churros.
A couple of my favorites Ireally love when they do the
lemon one it's usually one ofthe carts in DCA when they do it
.
I just generally love lemonflavored things, so that's
always nice.
And when they do the fluffernutter one which has like a lot
of peanut butter on it, I'm abig fan of that one too.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
I know a lot of people were flipping out over
the Haunted Mansion, one thatwas recently coming out.

Speaker 3 (11:28):
Yeah, I didn't try that one because, if I remember
right, I saw someone try it andit was just like overly sweet or
something like that.
And I'll admit, as much as Ilove pastries and snacks, if
it's like too sugary sweet thenI don't always love it.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
So somebody's looking for a little bit more savory.
I really like the classicpopcorn bucket.
I don't know why it tastes sodifferent.
The popcorn and the ice creamjust tastes different to me at
Disneyland.

Speaker 3 (11:52):
Totally, and they do something with the popcorn smell
.
Just when you're walking intothe park, walking down the
nature, it's like the air ispumped with popcorn butter.
So you're just like both arelike so happy but also want
popcorn.
I think popcorn is great for inthe park, but if you want
something on the go as you'releaving the park to like for the
drive home, I think it's also areally good option.
But definitely love the popcorn.

(12:14):
I feel like I really like needa savory snack, something else
that is Mickey shape.
I think I'm just like a suckerfor Mickey shape things but I
love like a typical, just plainMickey salted pretzel.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
Yeah, and there's a lot of talk about like is the
pretzel good, is the pretzel notgood?
But there are a lot of peoplethat really love that pretzel.
Are you pro cheese?
Are you no cheese?

Speaker 3 (12:35):
I can eat cheese and I can enjoy it, but generally I
like it just the pretzel withsome salt on it.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
They look delicious.
Yeah, those are one of theother things that I'm like one
day maybe.

Speaker 3 (12:47):
I love like smoked and barbecued food, certainly
coming from Texas, but a turkeyleg, I admit, is one thing I
have never tried at Disney, justbecause of the logistics of it,
right, like they are huge andthey are so messy looking and I
guess like a turkey leginherently is like meant to be
walked around with.
I'm like one too clumsy of aperson but like would get it on

(13:08):
something and just like look, not cute eating a turkey leg
walking through the park.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
So I ordered one and I was walking with my husband
and I like jammed my face and ittook a bite and I was like I'm
so Shrek-shi, aren't I?
Yeah exactly If you're eatingit on the go.
There is really no other optionthan, like, literally just
jamming your face into it.
But sometimes, if I'm sharingit with kids, we'll go over to
Rancho Delzacalo and get someforks and knives and, like, cut
it up.

Speaker 3 (13:34):
There, you go.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
Yeah, I feel like it's a different experience, for
sure.

Speaker 3 (13:38):
Yeah, absolutely, Props to people who can pull it
off and I just like I haven'tbeen brave enough yet.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
It's definitely not a first date food, so somebody's
taking you to a date to.
Disneyland, don't go for theturkey leg.

Speaker 3 (13:48):
No, kidding, definitely not.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
Have you had the chimichangas or the good?

Speaker 3 (13:54):
I have, and it's so funny you bring that up.
Well, so I've only had thebreakfast one, and so we're
talking about the cart that isin frontier land, right, that's
close to the Mark Twain boardingarea.

Speaker 2 (14:04):
And the Mark Twain is like a big white steam boat.
If you don't know what the MarkTwain is, it's on the shore of
Arizona, America.
It's awesome, but go ahead.

Speaker 3 (14:11):
Yeah, yeah.
So it's so funny you bring thisup.
I've never had the lunch one,but I've had the breakfast one.
But for some reason thechimichang, as far as I know,
has been around for a while, atleast a couple of years.
It's not longer.
I had it years ago but for somereason in the past, like one to
two months, there's been somuch on social media of people

(14:31):
trying it, trying to get to it,because it does kind of sew out
sometimes fast in the mornings, but there's just been this
renewed eagerness to get thisand try it, which I think is
just so funny when things likethat happen at Disney, where
it's not actually a new thingbut it just like for some reason
hits a trend.
But yeah, I actually reallyenjoy the breakfast chimichanga.
If you get it with the salsa, then yeah, I'm a big fan.

Speaker 2 (14:52):
Well, and that one's a good one too, because there's
not a lot of breakfast.
Like to go breakfast in thepark, definitely.
So you know.
It's one thing that you couldgrab and eat in line, and I
always like to remind peoplelike you can eat and drink in
line, but as soon as you getclose to boarding they're going
to make you throw it away.
So if you're somebody that willbreak your heart to throw away
a $13 tricky leg have eaten.

(15:14):
Bring you some Ziploc bags andyou can put it in and bring it
back out, because some of themare a snack and a half.

Speaker 3 (15:21):
Yeah, definitely yeah , plan ahead if you want to save
it.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
Now there's ones in California Adventure, the whole
cozy cone.
You know I haven't really beenable to do much of those.
It's just like gluten city overthere.
But do you have any favoritesover in that area?

Speaker 3 (15:35):
Yeah, I love Cars Land.
I think it's one of the bestdesigned areas Disney has ever
done.
The cones I'm a frequentvisitor there One it has like a
very just plain vanilla softserve.
One of the cones that is likereally nice on a hot day.
One is popcorn focused, so youcan get, like you know, flavored
popcorns, and maybe some peoplewould call this a meal, but I

(15:56):
think it's a snack, but likegetting the chili cone queso and
the cone is really good too.
They also, like you know, havedrinks and stuff there too.
So like it's very cool becauseeach cone is themed to a
specific like type of food andthey have seasonal stuff.
They're all in cones and sothere's a lot of options there.
I'm a big fan.

Speaker 2 (16:13):
Yeah, they look really fun.
Like isn't there?
Like a mac and cheese in a conetoo?

Speaker 3 (16:17):
Yeah, there's a mac and cheese one that I've had a
couple of times.
Yeah, that's a good option too.

Speaker 2 (16:21):
And one thing that's different on that side of the
park is they have the Srirachaturkey leg that's over by Golden
Finery, which is kind of likeas you're walking past the park,
past the big waterfall.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
Mm-hmm.
Yep, haven't had that becauseof the turkey leg, but yeah, I
do love sriracha, so maybe oneday I need to try that.

Speaker 2 (16:40):
Have you done the poultry palace?

Speaker 3 (16:43):
I haven't.
Someone not too long ago likemade a comment on one of my
TikToks.
I was like trying to like findunfrequented areas in the parks,
and someone mentioned how rightbehind poultry palace is like a
really great quiet but smallviewing area and shaded area you
can watch in credit coasterlaunch.
I've never eaten there either, but a lot of people in the

(17:03):
comments were like it was likevery mixed reviews so I haven't
eaten there yet.
So have you tried the foodthere?

Speaker 2 (17:09):
Yeah, so they have corn turkey legs which I know
you haven't done the turkey legsbut then they also have like a
three chicken leg.
It looks like a happy meal andit's just got three chicken legs
.
They're gluten-free, but theyare pretty heavily seasoned and
not just like with salt andpepper, like they've got like a
little bit of I don't know.
I'm not good at identifyingspices like paprika or cumin or
something like that.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (17:30):
But you know they are pretty tasty.
My really picky kid was like no, I want a taco.
But my son really really likedthem.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
Well, that's good that they had that as a gluten
free option then.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
Yeah, and then the corn dog is always.
I feel like people want to talkabout the corn dogs too.

Speaker 3 (17:48):
Oh, my god.
Yes, I love the corn dogs.
They're like definitely, youknow, a heftier snack, I guess.
But the state fair in Texas islike something I grew up going
to and still go back to and likestate fairs corn dogs are a big
deal and they're amazing corndogs of the Texas State Fair but
I think the Disneyland one itrivals it.
It is so, so good and you havean option in both DCA and in

(18:11):
Disneyland and you can mobileorder both.
So, yeah, I'm a huge fan of thecorn dog there.

Speaker 2 (18:16):
And I think that it's important to mention that the
corn dog that everybody freaksout about there's a little red
wagon over the end of MainStreet that you can mobile order
from, and so if you're lookingfor corn dog I know it doesn't
make sense that the corn dog iscalled the red wagon, but it's
over like between Plaza Inn andthe first aid station and I feel
like those are the iconicDisneyland corn dogs.

Speaker 3 (18:38):
Yeah, definitely.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
They have a corn dog castle over at California
Adventure, but I hear it's notquite as good.

Speaker 3 (18:45):
Yeah, the corn dog castle.
I know they had the hot link orthe spicy version at corn dog
castle, but I can't remember ifthere is that one at the wagon
too, so maybe there's just moreoptions at the corn dog castle.

Speaker 2 (18:57):
And like those snacks , you can kind of eat those
throughout the day.
Do you ever do like the fruitcarts?
They have a couple marketplacesaround both parks where they
have big things of ice and theyhave like different kinds of
fruit and things on those lines.

Speaker 3 (19:10):
I haven't ever bought the fruit at the stands, but
I'm trying to remember there's.
It's like a frozen apple juice.
Oh, it's at Marisa's, that'sright.

Speaker 2 (19:19):
Which is right over by the castle, kind of over
where the royal princess hall is.

Speaker 3 (19:23):
Yeah, exactly yeah.
So I'm the big fan of thefrozen apple juice because it's
refreshing.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
My daughter really liked that.
Are there any other like bigcampmas snacks that you have?

Speaker 3 (19:34):
Hmm, I think one of the like iconic Disney land ones
, also at Jolly Holiday, is theMatterhorn Macaroon.
When I started going toDisneyland and I was like
looking up, what things do Ineed to try to eat, that was one
of the things that came up andI got that the first time I ever
went and it's like one of myfavorite things still, so I
think that's a big go-to one.
But other than the beignet am Ilike favorite overall and it's

(19:57):
like totally different.
It's also sweet.
I guess, like I lean more tosweet snacks.
There's a peanut butter andchocolate sandwich that they
have in some of the sweet shops.
It's like at the candy palaceup the front and it's at Poo's
Corner in Critter Country.
I'm a big fan of peanut butter,so it's just like a chocolate
and peanut butter, not cold,it's like room temperature
sandwich that I really like.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
That sounds really good.

Speaker 3 (20:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (20:19):
So they have this thing called Churro Toffee,
which is toffee with, like that, cinnamon sugar from the churro.

Speaker 3 (20:24):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
And everybody.
I feel like every three postson Instagram right now is Churro
Toffee.

Speaker 3 (20:29):
Yeah, it's like another one of those things
where it's like been around fora little bit and for some reason
, right now it's like goingcrazy.
But yeah, I love Churro Toffeealso.
I like get it more selectivelybecause I just know how much
sugar I'm taking in every time Iget one, but it's really,
really good.

Speaker 2 (20:44):
I'm going next week and that's one of the things
that I'm like.
I'm gonna get this one becauseI've seen it posted so many
times, but it's like $7 orsomething for a little square.
So last time I looked at it Iwas like I just can't stop with
that right now.

Speaker 3 (20:55):
Yeah, it's definitely on the pricier side.
If you have Magic Key, it helpsto use your discount, but yeah,
it's not a cheaper one.

Speaker 2 (21:03):
Let's go ahead and let's do our lightning questions
, because I think it's kind offun to like talk to different
people and find out, like, whatare their biggest things.
So what is your favoriteattraction at Disneyland or
California Adventure?

Speaker 3 (21:17):
Haunted.
Mansion my all-time favoriteDisney attractions.

Speaker 2 (21:20):
I love Haunted Mansion.
We do Haunted Mansion forHalloween decorations and we
have like 300 trick-or-treaters.
Come by.
So, yeah, so we've developed awhole bunch of stuff.
Here's the thing about HauntedMansion.
Are you pro holiday overlaywhen they do the Nightmare
Before Christmas?
Do you like it better like that, or do you like the OG right?

Speaker 3 (21:41):
I like the OG better.
I love both and I've gotten todo.
Last year, I actually got to dothis really cool walkthrough
while they were turning it overfor holiday, and so this time
last year I got to do awalkthrough while they were
finishing it up, which was justlike the most amazing experience
ever.

Speaker 1 (21:55):
I think it's like my coolest.

Speaker 3 (21:56):
I think, like of all the things I've gotten to do at
Disney, that is the coolest forme because I just like love
Haunted Mansion so much.
But yeah, I love the holidayversion and I really enjoy it.
I do think it kind of goes alittle long during the year.
I get why it's there the wholeHalloween season and the whole
Christmas season, but maybe Ifeel like it started in October
and then ran to like the end ofDecember.

(22:16):
But I really do enjoy it.
But for me it's like theoriginal is still the best.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
I always have scarcity.
When it changes, like when it'sgonna change over to Nightmare
Before Christmas, then I'malways like you know, I got to
write it a whole bunch of timesbecause I'm not gonna get to
experience this, because nowit's like October, november,
december, january, halfway intoJanuary really, and then when
they switch it back I'm like, oh, I won't get to do the
Christmas one for a while.

Speaker 3 (22:41):
Yeah, yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
What is your favorite table service, restaurant or
menu item?

Speaker 3 (22:47):
Favorite table service overall is probably
Storytellers.
Well, this is technically notin the park, is that okay?

Speaker 2 (22:56):
Yeah, no, that's okay , yeah.

Speaker 3 (22:57):
Overall, it's Storytellers breakfast, slash
brunch, which is in the GrandCalifornian Hotel, and it's a
character breakfast.

Speaker 2 (23:05):
And that's the one where you're guaranteed to see
Mickey.

Speaker 3 (23:09):
Yes, usually you know you see a like Mickey, Minnie,
Chip and Dale, or sometimesmaybe Donald and Daisy come out
some, and sometimes Goofy.
But yeah, Mickey and Minnie arealways there for sure.

Speaker 2 (23:20):
Normally buffets aren't really safe for allergy
families.
If you let them know ahead oftime and you talk to the chef,
they'll make you things that arefree from cross-contamination,
so don't feel like that's offthe table for you.

Speaker 3 (23:31):
Yeah, I don't even have like allergy restrictions,
but one time I was there and Iwas doing like a month of
no-process sugar and theybrought me sugar-free syrup
which I was just like didn'teven expect them to have.
So they are, like, definitelyvery ready to help out with
whatever food restrictions youhave.

Speaker 2 (23:48):
What is your favorite show or meet and greet?

Speaker 3 (23:52):
Overall favorite show is Fantasmic, which is why I'm
super sad right now because wedon't have Fantasmic.
After the fire, when Murphisn't coming back, at least not
for a while.
Yeah, I like still have hopethat they will give us a new
dragon, whatever that wouldmaybe be named informally, but
yeah, we don't have Fantasmic.
It's crazy until sometime nextyear For me.

(24:13):
I love fireworks, I love thingslike that, but watching
Fantasmic on the river, juststanding casually by the river
watching it all happen, is justone of my favorite Disney
moments ever.

Speaker 2 (24:25):
Yeah, seeing all the characters come by on the boat,
it's so much fun.

Speaker 3 (24:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (24:30):
I'm eagerly waiting for that to come back, bigger
and better, hopefully.

Speaker 3 (24:34):
Hopefully, so.

Speaker 2 (24:36):
So I'm a backpack person.
George, our co-founder, is likehe goes in with just his wallet
and his phone.
What do you bring into theparks?
What's in your bag or pocketswhen you head in?

Speaker 3 (24:47):
It kind of depends.
If I'm there for a longer time,then I take a backpack because
I'll have things in there awater bottle like a refillable
water bottle, a phone charger, just in case.
If I'm there for a long day, almost inevitably I'm going home
with something that I buy, soit's good to have that carry
around.

(25:07):
But if I go for a shorter tripthen I wear just a cross body, a
little bit smaller and easierto carry around, but I always
have my phone, a chapstick andhand sanitizer.
So those are my basics.
The annoying thing with thecross body is I'm just an avid
water drinker, especially rightnow in the summer, so I have to
stop at quick services along theway and just get the free water

(25:28):
because I'm not carrying onearound.

Speaker 2 (25:29):
I have to drink a lot of water.
I found this water bottle thatcollapses, so when it's empty
it's really flat and I reallylike it.
But then when, as you fill itup, you have to make sure you
don't squirt yourself in theface, because definitely look
like I had gotten off a waterride.

Speaker 3 (25:46):
Yeah, totally.

Speaker 2 (25:47):
I want to thank you so much for coming on the show.
It's been really, really funtalking to you.
You want to go ahead and followCaleb on Caleb G Travels.
That's on YouTube, and thenyou're on Instagram and TikTok
as well, right?

Speaker 3 (26:00):
Yeah, it is, that's right, and thanks so much.
This has been really fun.
I'm always very excited to talkabout food, especially when it
comes to Disney food.

Speaker 2 (26:06):
Disney food is the best.

Speaker 3 (26:07):
Truly yes.
