almost said he was pastor, saidyou want to be like me look, let
me be honest with you.
Speaker 1 (00:19):
it has been a while.
We've we've had two weeks of abreak, man, and my brain has
been scattered all throughoutdoing all kinds of different
things, and we should be focused.
But look, we're here now.
I'm Pastor Jason.
This is Pastor Seth, I thinkwhat happened?
Is— and you're watching Pastorto Pastor or you're listening to
Pastor to Pastor?
Speaker 2 (00:35):
Yeah, I think that
while I was gone, you just kind
of lost all your focus.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
Is that what it was?
Speaker 2 (00:40):
You just missed me so
much.
Yeah, I'm just no, not reallyWow that kind of hurt, it kind
of hurt.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
Well, yip-yap,
yip-yap, no, absolutely man.
Look, I definitely miss doingministry with you, man, whether
it's podcast or it's whatever.
I did get to go tell ReliantChurch about Crosspoint.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
Church.
Speaker 1 (00:59):
That's right, you
sure did, yeah, I got to go and
explain to your church all aboutJesus and all about coming to
Crosspoint.
In fact, I remember claimingReliant Church as Crosspoint.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
Church you did.
That's right yeah.
When you get so used to sayingyour own church, you're like oh
crap.
Speaker 1 (01:16):
Yeah, when you get up
and you're like hey, welcome to
.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
Reliant Church.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
Yeah, right, right.
No, it was a great time, man.
That was a great time man.
I enjoyed going out there.
The cool thing about us man Ilove it is the relationship, and
we are like family.
Our churches are like family,so whenever we get together,
it's always a great time.
Oh, absolutely, man.
Well, dan, georgia, youpreached a powerful word and I'm
just glad to be back.
I'm glad to be back, yeah, gladto have you back, man, and
(01:39):
that's what we're going to talkabout today.
We're going to talk about amissions trip, man.
We're going to talk about themissions trip to India that you
went through.
We'll go through probably a lotof different mission trips that
we've been on over the yearsand just kind of share some
wisdom and some understandingand maybe bring some clarity to
some people when it comes tomissions trips, because it's not
all.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
They're all different
.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
They're all different
.
That's about the best way tosay it.
They're all different.
So anyway, man, let's start.
Let's talk about it First ofall, so that people grasp the
understanding of exactly whatit's like.
Tell me how long the trip wasgoing Like.
What's the process?
Speaker 2 (02:12):
for everyone.
So I'll say this Going flighttime and just complete travel
time layovers.
Flight time 24 hours, yeah, 24hours and like 30 minutes.
Flying back A little different33 hours, yes, sir, yes.
34 15 hour flight, 10 hourlayover in dubai it's if you can
(02:34):
get beyond the travel time andactually get to india you'll
survive, but if you don't dogood at traveling india, is not
the place for you, not the placeyou want to go.
Speaker 1 (02:42):
I remember when you
were like you know uh, I miss
going to india is not the placefor you, not the place you want
to go.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
I remember when you
were like you know uh, I miss
going to india, but I'm glad I'mnot in your shoes right now
yeah sit and wait on that plane, you know and it and it.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
It's amazing how and
I think um the older you get,
the more traveling will itreally really wears on you yeah
um, I know this, last year, whenI or last time we went it was
last year or not um, when wewent, man, my ankles swole up
and I'm like this ain't neverhappened before.
I got old people problems.
Yeah, cankles man, them thingsswell up.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
They like that anyway
, yeah, and you got kind of sick
over there last time too.
Speaker 1 (03:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
But you know, all
trips are different mission
trips, some of them do itlocally, some of some of them
travel.
Uh, we've been nicaragua, you've been to peru india is our
thing.
We've been going since 2016 andit is completely differently.
I was talking to my barber thismorning.
He was like do you kind of knowwhat to expect now that you've
been going?
And it's like you know, I knowwhat to expect in the culture,
(03:36):
but service wise and the peopleit.
You never know what you'regonna get, especially this year.
We went to a brand new location.
We we didn't minister in thesame community, in the same
villages.
Everything was brand new, so itwas completely different.
Um, and it's good to do that, because you don't want to just
keep going and going to the samepeople preaching the same
(03:57):
messages.
You want to reach new peopleand reach, you know, gospel.
Speaker 1 (04:00):
If that's the goal of
the mission trip, you're on
yeah, yeah, and you know that'sand you know for us to.
Uh, I can go church to churchhere yeah in america.
In fact I don't a lot.
In fact I turned down a lot ofuh speaking engagements because
you're highly sought after.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
Oh, hey, you know
yeah, uh, no, I do man I love to
.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
I have a mission here
at cross point and I my focus
really is pouring into ourpeople and and when you're out,
then you have to get someone andlook, it's just it.
I enjoyed going to the reliantchurch, but I do, man, I miss.
I miss my people when I'm nothere yep and so.
But we can do that here, man.
But when we go to india it'samazing the crusades the you
guys had, what the second nightyou were there like 1100 people
(04:40):
at a crusade, yeah it's crazy,bro.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
The first night,
first night we did this huge
venue and it's one big buildingsplit in half, and one side we
fed people in it.
The other side was the service, had the stage and stuff in it,
and the first night there wasbetween 700, 800 people there
and only about 100 of them areactual Christians.
Everybody else is Hindu, whichis crazy to think that you got
(05:06):
Christians coming from America.
We're hosting a Christianservice and out of the 800
people, 700 of them at least, are Hindus, like unconverted
Christians, devout Hindus whoare coming to hear the gospel
and get fed some free food, andso the second night probably
more than 1,100, that place wasfilled Outside.
(05:28):
You could see probably 100people standing outside, and
then I got a picture.
If you zoom in at the partthat's connected, where you feed
people, you can see themstanding in the windows just
looking into the service.
It was just amazing at thepeople who were there and I
think, really, even though theyhave their own religion and they
have all these gods, they'restill hungry for something.
Because what we know to be trueis that when you try to satisfy
(05:51):
what your soul longs for withsomething that is not of God,
you're always going to leavehungry for more.
You're going to leave withsomething missing, right, like
something's just not right.
And, man, we preached thegospel and when we left, we had
877 salvations by the time weleft, and that was just amazing,
man.
(06:11):
And what we had to do in India, too, is and we have to do this
sometimes because we don't teachsalvation properly in churches
where people think anytime youdo something bad, you've got to.
You got to redo your salvationand you got to you know, the
moment you accidentally mess up.
Yeah, it's like oh, I losteverything.
(06:31):
Gotta start all the way backover right.
And it's like every sunday yougot people who want to give
their life to christ and it'slike it doesn't work that way,
like like commit or not commit, like let's get this thing worked
out.
But in ind, in India, it's likeanytime you call them to stand
for something they think theywant prayer or something
everybody's standing.
So I had to be very specific onthis trip because I didn't want
(06:52):
to just throw numbers at peopleand say you know what?
We had 800 get saved and thenwe had 200 get saved and it'd be
part of the 800 from theprevious night.
So we were very specific, like, hey, let's make sure we clarify
.
If you've never given your lifeto Christ, this gospel has just
pierced your heart and you wantJesus to come in your life.
And right now you're making ademand.
Right now I'm committing toChrist.
(07:14):
No other God, no other idol.
I'm committing to him.
And so I'm telling you thisthose numbers are true, they are
true.
We were very intentional withthat because we didn't want to
pad stats, you know, in thegospel and stuff like that.
But it was an amazing trip.
Yeah, that's awesome, man.
It's a lot of messages topreach.
This is why you should havewent Seven messages in five days
(07:35):
.
Jason wouldn't go with me, y'all.
Speaker 1 (07:37):
Jason wouldn't go.
I'm in such high demand, right?
I couldn't, uh, I couldn't.
You know, I work full time, soI I couldn't take but so much
time off and and I chose, I feltled to go to peru this year,
feel like to go next year, but Ireally want to figure out a way
where we could try to make itwork so I go to both at the same
, not the same time, butobviously go to both in the same
year that would be amazing, butwhat kind of see.
Speaker 2 (07:59):
You did get to carry
some other people with you,
though yeah, we took three guysfrom reliant church who's never
been on a mission trip, so thisis a really great first, first
visit.
Speaker 1 (08:08):
Yeah this is, uh,
this is more of an advanced
level trip for people who'venever been, but yeah, that's
great it was something for themto see.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
We did some training
and development some of the
stuff that we've been talking onthis podcast but really more
intentional with the culturethat we know we would experience
in India and we did sometraining with them and some
things to expect.
And on the third night of thecrusade man, there's people
being delivered and I meanthey're kicking on the floor, I
mean they're kicking the stagewhile they're laying down and
stuff.
And I look and I'm like yo,where are y'all at?
(08:39):
Like you trained for this, comehelp me fight these demons.
And at the service I was likewhere were y'all at?
They were like hey, we heard it.
We just stretched our hands.
We just stretched our handstoward it and you know it was a
great experience and halfwaythrough the trip, man, they were
excited for the next year.
They want to go and bring a lotmore people.
But I think everybody needs toexperience, not necessarily
(09:03):
India, but go to a place wherepeople have nothing and all they
, all they desire, is just God.
Right, Compared to us today, wehave everything and God is just
an addition to our life.
And so just to recap some moreand I want to talk a little in
(09:24):
depth about that culture inIndia, how can we learn from
their hunger and their thirstthat Scripture talks about?
That we should have, asChristians, no matter where
you're located at geographically, where's your hunger at,
Where's your thirst for Christ,Not thirst for more things of
the world and those things.
But we had 877 salvations.
We had more than nine confirmedhealings.
(09:45):
When I say confirmed, it wasthere was pain.
And then when we got done, there was no pain.
And you know God really movedon some people.
And we did baptisms.
I tell you I was not a fan ofthe baptisms because I was in a
gully.
Oh, no, and it was dirty waterthat you couldn't see anything
in and it was just, it was bad,it was bad.
Speaker 1 (10:07):
I couldn't wait to go
take a shower.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
But for the sake of
the gospel we labor.
Speaker 1 (10:13):
Oh, we labor.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
And we had four
people delivered from demonic
possession and man.
It was just a phenomenal trip.
But one of the best things thatI experienced was actually
something that I found out thisweek and it just is an
encouragement of you never knowthe seeds that you plant.
As a Christian, you may noteven see all the fruit.
Now, of course, we saw fruit ofthe gospel, of us preaching it,
(10:39):
but Prakash, which is our pointof contact there, he called and
said hey, I want you to know.
The message you preached on thesecond night has spread
throughout this village.
He said since then we've had 40people who have mentioned this
sermon, this message, the gospelyou've preached I'm talking
about the Holy Spirit and 40people have given their life to
(10:59):
Christ.
They showed up to church Sundayand they want to get baptized.
I mean, if you can't celebratesomething like that, like if
that shows you that it's morethan just you, the Holy Spirit
does the work.
You plant that seed.
The Holy Spirit moves onpeople's hearts and it just
shows me for myself that if I'lldo my part, the Lord will do
the rest and that's what hewants us to be willing vessels.
(11:22):
What have we sacrificed inourselves?
I'm not saying you had to goover to a third world country or
anything, but what have yousacrificed to?
Let God use you so you canplant something, and maybe
somebody else can harvest, likePrakash.
He's getting the harvest ofwhat we've planted there.
And that's what it is aboutbuilding the kingdom.
Not our own, but how can wecontribute to building the
(11:43):
kingdom?
Speaker 1 (11:43):
Right, and I think we
underestimate the power of seed
.
Yeah, the power of just it,doesn't?
You don't have to go into anexcavator and rip out all the
land.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (11:53):
Go, plant some seeds.
Like.
It's that simple.
Just be obedient.
Like do what Christ has toldyou to do.
In fact, that's what I preachedat your church and I preached
recently here was you Don't justbe hearers of the word, be
doers of the word.
We're not called to just hear.
I've shared this man.
We today, like Christians, gosit in a service and we're like
(12:14):
bricks.
We are flooded constantly, likebricks in a pew.
We're flooded with informationconstantly.
Really, the truth, we get hardto it.
We get hard to everything whenwe should be like sponges, not
only filling up with the wordbut also pouring it out,
wringing it out.
And so the problem is wecompartmentalize our
Christianity to a Sunday service, a one-hour Sunday service,
(12:37):
when we should live in aone-hour Sunday service every
single day, every hour of everyday.
That's right.
We shouldn't wait untilChristmas season to be happy and
be giving.
Speaker 2 (12:48):
We should be that way
all the time, and so, anyway,
yeah, we should be chasing dailyencounters with Christ.
Absolutely, the true Christianpursues him daily.
It's not.
You can't tell me you're aChristian, but the only time you
spend with Christ is on aSunday.
You don't have a relationship,you have a habit.
Right Sunday is your habit, andit is that.
My habit is I go spend timewith Jesus and then the rest of
the week I do whatever I want todo.
(13:11):
And you know we sat down and wechatted about this with the team
that went with us After thefirst service.
They're like, hey, can we comeover and talk like for hours?
I'm talking about like 3o'clock in the morning.
(13:35):
They're still wanting to talkbecause they have never seen
people just hungry for the word, hungry for prayer, like I'm
talking about.
We talk about like walmartcheckout lines when we open up
our lines to pray and it's likeit's it seems like the line
never quits right.
People want to pray foreverything because they believe
in it, like they've experiencedthe presence of god and they're
like, okay, if what I feel is,then I know there's got to be
power to this prayer thing.
And it's just amazing how, whenyou begin to shift beyond what
(13:56):
you've been exposed to here inthe modern-day church to really
what the New Testament churchwas, they did life together,
they prayed, they spent time inprayer.
Where's the prayer meetings?
At bro Right, we did a prayermeeting in in india in the
middle of the day, like middleof the day.
Church was packed.
I'm like, where's our hunger?
Speaker 1 (14:16):
like I know we have
responsibilities, but I think
you know you're starting totiptoe into something that
really I've been feeling for awhile, that there's a separation
happening out in the community, out in the world, and there's a
separation happening out in thecommunity, out in the world,
and there's a separation goingon within the church as well.
There's a call that God issending out to people and those
who hear his voice and there aresome who hear his voice and are
(14:37):
responding.
They're coming to the Father'shouse, and then there's people
within the house who are notjust hearing but they're also
doing so.
I believe there's this almostlike a sifting of wheat and
tares.
Man, that's happening.
People are either following Godand they're not only just
(14:58):
hearing but they're also doingand those who are just.
This is what I normally do, andso the truth is, man, I feel
like there is a harder gospel, and I say harder, it's really
the gospel.
I mean, there are many pastorsand people who have tried to
sweeten up the gospel as much aspossible until almost you get
diabetes when you hear it.
And the truth is, people do notneed to feel good in their sin.
(15:22):
Notice when the apostles go outin the book of Acts, it wasn't
Jesus loves you.
When they left the upper roomthere was a hard message that
said hey, repent.
It was not about oh Jesus lovesyou, let's hold hands and skip
down the road, no, it was repentyou sinner, like Christ died
for you, you put him on thecross Like repent.
(15:48):
And so I think the gospel ofrepentance, the good news of
repentance and forgiveness thatcomes after repentance, that is
happening in a lot of people.
I know your preaching has—we'vetalked about this on the
sideman and your preaching haschanged a little bit too Dude, I
don't care who I offend, that'sright, because I care more—and
the truth of the matter— Brian,we're getting all off topic here
.
Speaker 2 (16:07):
Stay there, stay
there, I care more and the truth
of the matter.
Speaker 1 (16:09):
Brian, we're getting
all off topic here.
Stay there, stay there.
But the truth of the matter isman is Christ says you're going
to be persecuted for followinghim.
But we try so hard not to bepersecuted.
We try so hard to make thegospel palatable for everybody
and the truth of the matter isit doesn't need to be palatable.
It is the truth, whether youreceive it or not.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (16:25):
And so we have to
give it in love.
But, man, the truth is thetruth, and the truth is you're a
sinner in need of a Savior.
Either you're going to receiveit or you're not.
Yeah, that's right.
I'm sorry.
Speaker 2 (16:33):
Well, I mean no,
because even in India, that
message that I preached on thatsecond night of the crusade,
that Prakash was saying, thatwas changing people's lives,
even while we were in the middleof that sermon, bro, I called
out every idol worshiper.
I in the I mean not even, Iknow, I just felt like the holy
spirit was like.
Now's the time to correct thisthinking and call out things in
(16:55):
the room and the guys were likeholy smoke.
The shift in the room was crazylike I even got sick.
I got dizzy while I waspreaching.
It was.
I've never felt this way.
I could feel the spiritualwarfare when you're calling out
people's sin and correcting them.
Speaker 1 (17:10):
Calling out demons.
Speaker 2 (17:11):
And even though
they've never heard the gospel.
I didn't talk about how muchJesus loved you.
I talked about repent.
That's it Repent, because ifyou don't and you make idols and
you make sacrifices and youmake contracts with your family
members to these gods, you willburn in hell.
Like that's the truth.
Where is the truth of thegospel?
Like I'm not here to just loveon you and there's a huge part
(17:34):
that that does.
That's fruit of the Spirit.
Love is fruit of the Spirit, but I love you enough to tell
you the truth.
I've got one sermon to preachto you.
Right, I've got one opportunityand we need to start looking at
Sundays like this.
Speaker 1 (17:47):
Every time I open my
mouth is an opportunity.
Speaker 2 (17:49):
Because you don't
know, the first time somebody
shows up who's been dealing withsuicide and dealing with
oppression and depression andanxiety and all these sins on
the inside who later that dayare wanting to commit suicide,
you're going to patty cakearound this stuff, right?
No, no, no, no.
Every day we get a chance toshare the truth of God's word
and we're going to waste it bybaking a cake and just
(18:14):
spoon-feeding people with thispalatable, and we wonder why
they're still on milk.
Man.
Speaker 1 (18:19):
Because you're
feeding them milk and sweets.
Yeah, what do you expect tohappen?
Yeah, you're going to keephaving to feed them sweets
because that's what you got toget them in there.
But the problem is, success hasgot to stop being measured by
the amount of seats you fill andthe amount of hearts you change
.
Speaker 2 (18:33):
Well, listen to this.
We talk about the New Testament.
We talk about the sermons theypreached.
What did the Bible say in Actschapter 3, even in Acts chapter
4?
3,000 people got saved from arepent and sin no more.
Be filled with the Holy Spirit.
Sermon yeah, okay.
Then Acts chapter 4, he evencalls out the people who
(18:55):
crucified him and says you knowwhat, even though you crucified
him, he still died for you.
Right, you have a chance torepent.
The Bible says at that point, then 5,000 people are saved, and
then they're added daily.
Watch this.
You think that preaching thetruth won't grow your church is
a misconception.
It is what blew up the church, absolutely Not just in Judea,
(19:18):
but Samaria and Jerusalem andall the places it spread,
because they preached the truthand the mark of the Holy Spirit
on their lives was they receivedboldness.
Speaker 1 (19:27):
Yep, they went out
and they well.
I feel the Holy.
Speaker 2 (19:29):
Ghost Boldness,
prophesied, laid hands and cast
out demons, and that's it, andthey preached the gospel.
Speaker 1 (19:34):
And the gospel is
Christ died for your sins.
Stop playing with somethingthat Christ had to die for.
Speaker 2 (19:40):
Hmm, well, I feel
good in this room, well, but
it's the truth.
It's the truth, it's the truth.
People think that if you don'tpreach truth in your church
won't grow.
But you look at the newtestament church, which is what
we are right, this is what theapostles taught.
Yeah, bible says being filledwith the spirit.
They spoke with boldness andcast out demons and healed the
(20:01):
sick man they have the.
Speaker 1 (20:03):
The watered down
gospel they preach today is they
have taken grace about as faras you can take it.
I don't even know that it'scalled grace anymore, like they
have a swan.
Grace is there because he lovedyou enough so he came.
He loved you enough so that hedied for your sins.
And if you happen to mess upalong the way, there's grace to
cover it.
But we look at it like you'vesaid before is how much can I do
(20:26):
and still not go to hell?
Instead of Lord, cover me?
I made a mistake.
Help me in my weakness, help mebe stronger.
We've used it as a reason andan excuse to be able to sin.
There are pastors, bro.
There are pastors who do it.
It drives me nuts.
I'm literally getting on to thepoint where it is hard for me
to go to social media.
Oh yeah, it is hard because Isee so much ignorance and so
(20:47):
much craziness being posted andshared and it's like I want to
start getting on there andsharing the gospel.
I know I'm going to bepersecuted and I'm talking about
the gospel.
I'm talking about the truth andI know I'm going to be
persecuted.
I shared a video yesterday.
It's already cost me somefriends.
It spoke out againsthomosexuality, it spoke out
against fornication, it spokeout against what God calls sin,
(21:08):
and I've lost some friends overit.
I know I'll lose some more, butat the end of the day I don't
care.
The truth of the matter is Ihave to stand before God, whom
I'm going to be doubly judged by.
Like Paul says, some of youshouldn't be teachers because
you're going to be doubly heldaccountable to the standard
doubly.
And so I have to give anaccount when I stand before god
and say, god, I poured my lifeout like a drink, offering like
(21:28):
like I've spoke truth.
I preach what you told me topreach and I bro your blood.
Not gonna be on my hand, that'sright, pornography.
Speaker 2 (21:35):
There's grace porn,
oh yeah, come on, there's grace,
yeah you know they, they, they.
Speaker 1 (21:41):
There is, no, there
is no, there is no
accountability in the churchtoday.
There's no accountability inchrist.
It's like you sin.
It's okay.
Jesus still loves you.
Come here and let me cuddle you.
You're right, this drives mecrazy.
Speaker 2 (21:54):
Anyway, yep, so when
we jump back to India, let's go
back to India but.
I mean realistically.
That's the gospel, that's whatI preached.
Speaker 1 (22:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (22:05):
I mean, I preached
this reality on that second
night was if you don't repent,if you leave here today and
still serve Hindu gods, therewill be a time where judgment
comes.
And that was the truth of thegospel.
I mean, that's what it is.
It wasn't.
Yeah, god's love and his gracegot him to the cross and held
(22:25):
him there, but you know, yougotta.
You gotta make better decisionsas well, and so one of the
questions that we pondered Ilook for us to take a few
minutes and try to talk thisthing out, and um is with the
team that was there.
I asked this question how do wefoster that hunger and thirst
(22:47):
that we're seeing here fromthese people who were born and
raised in Hinduism, as Hindus, but still get saved, get a part
of the church and see thathunger and that thirst after
Christ, where there's no timelimit, there's no rush to be
done, they're having prayerservices.
(23:09):
When can we get back to thetime where we open up the church
during the day for anybody thatwants to come pray?
Speaker 1 (23:17):
When we do what Jesus
said do and stop trying to do
it ourselves and stop doingwhat's convenient and start
doing what we're called to do.
That's when that'll happen.
Speaker 2 (23:25):
As I'm growing in my
walk with Christ and I've
growing in my walk with Christand I've talked with my wife,
taylor, about this.
It's like you know, I don'twant to get to heaven and the
Lord showed me all that I missed, all the opportunities I missed
because I filled my schedulewith meaningless stuff.
Right, I don't want to get toheaven.
(23:46):
And then people God showed me,all the people who I saw each
and every day that I failed toshare the truth with, like that.
Those thoughts hit me like aton of bricks, bro, like when I
get to heaven.
I don't.
I want to hear well done not,you really could have done more.
I'm grateful for you, but youcould have done a lot more.
And I wanted to start priority.
We've got to start prioritizinglike true christians, to start
(24:08):
prioritizing true Christians.
There's no such thing as alukewarm Christian, bro.
Speaker 1 (24:12):
You're either on fire
and pursuing no, no, no, no, no
man Hypergrace says that you'resaved, even if you don't know
it.
That is very true.
Speaker 2 (24:20):
We have heard this
crazy theology People are saved,
but they just don't know it.
Speaker 1 (24:24):
They just don't know
it.
Speaker 2 (24:35):
Bro, that is some of
the nonsense that drives me
absolutely crazy.
Yeah, I just want to challengeus, bro.
Look over our lives and ourschedules.
What is all about us?
And then what is about Christ?
Right, and I get it.
There's time for family, there's time for enjoying life,
but when that supersedes whatyou do for the work of the
kingdom, I mean we've really gotto find a balance, and some
people have crucified me forthis, and I say this all the
(24:56):
time.
Christ died for the church.
I don't have to.
That's right, and what I meanby that is I don't have to kill
myself to serve people.
But in opportunities that I'mgiven to share the good news, am
I wasting them?
Am I running away from them?
Am I using the excuse I ain'tgot time, I ain't got?
Speaker 1 (25:12):
time I ain't got time
for that the truth is we have
to hunger and thirst.
Yeah, plain and simple, yeah,we have to hunger, we have to
thirst, we have to pick up ourcross, and it sounds so basic,
it sounds so simple, but it isthe truth that we've gotten away
from.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
And the reason why we
don't hunger and thirst is
because we're full of ourself.
Right, we're already full ofourselves.
There's even no hunger at allbecause we're already inflated
with our own desires, our onlyflesh.
This is why Jesus says I thinkit was Paul that said this he
said don't ever say that Jesusor God tempts you.
(25:46):
It is your only flesh desirethat entices you to do the
things that you want to do.
And here's the truth.
The Bible says to know what todo and not do.
It is a sin.
It's a scripture tells us to goand share the good news, to go
and make disciples, but yet weain't making disciples.
We're not doing these things.
(26:07):
We're falling short of thecommands of Jesus Christ in the
gospel.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
Here's the thing man,
you know pastors and leaders of
congregations can't just talkabout getting out of the four
walls.
We talk about it.
I've heard it most of my adultlife Gotta get out of the four
walls, get out of the four walls.
Well, leaders have to putthemselves and the parishioners
in a position to get outside thefour.
What are you doing?
That is, challenging yourpeople and getting them outside,
(26:32):
not only on their job and notonly when they're with their
family, and not only thosethings.
But when are you, as anorganization, going to say we're
training for this and we'regoing out on this day, we're
going to hit this neighborhoodand we're going to win these
souls?
Start your leadership, man.
Look, there's a lot of falsegospels out there.
There's a lot of false truth.
(26:53):
There's a lot of lies, profit,lying.
Speaker 2 (26:55):
There's a lot of
craziness going on Like.
Speaker 1 (26:58):
I don't agree with
Jehovah's witnesses, obviously
for obvious reasons, but, dude, they will knock down somebody's
door.
And where's the hunger andthirst for true Christians to go
out and to preach the gospeland be so hungry for God, and so
hungry for God and so burdenedfor your soul that they're
knocking your door down?
Speaker 2 (27:15):
to tell you about
Jesus.
Speaker 1 (27:17):
Where's that hunger
and thirst at?
Speaker 2 (27:19):
You know, and a lot
of that has to be mirrored from
the leader.
Speaker 1 (27:24):
For sure.
Speaker 2 (27:25):
The leader doesn't
have passion for outreach, you
can't expect the people you'reraising up to have it.
It all starts with us, and Ichallenge us as leaders, and
even laity, to challenge yourleaders, yeah.
Speaker 1 (27:37):
When are we going out
?
Call them out?
Speaker 2 (27:38):
Yeah, yeah, amen.
You good brother, I'm good.
I don't know if you simmereddown a little bit, you got fired
up for a minute.
Speaker 1 (27:47):
I was ready to preach
a little bit, trying to gas you
up.
Speaker 2 (27:50):
Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (27:57):
No man, I'm with it.
Um, I definitely think there.
I think there's a change comingand I think there there is
going to be a church that istruly on fire for god amen.
Where they are, they're hearingthe, the real preaching and
teaching of holiness.
Holiness, bro, listen holy theyused to say holiness is still
right, it is still, it is stillrequired.
Without holiness, no man shallsee god and we holy as I'm holy
right, and we dance around thatlike, like, like.
(28:20):
No, there's only one thing thatthe bible repeats in three
successions about god, and thatis he is holy, holy and holy.
He ain't love, love, love,right?
Well, he ain't.
He ain't forgive, forgive, mercy, mercy, like he is holy,
holy, holy.
And we have completely, we'veadded in all, we've made God in
(28:41):
our image instead of making, instead of us being made in his
Yep Amen.
But anyway, we could go onwithout him.
Speaker 2 (28:46):
Yeah, we could do a
whole nother.
Yeah, well, let's do this.
Speaker 1 (28:50):
Let's typically what
we do at the end of this podcast
is we like to do the priestlyblessing of Numbers 6, 24-26.
It says the Lord bless you andkeep you.
The Lord make his face shineupon you and be gracious to you.
The Lord lift up hiscountenance upon you and give
you peace.
Hey this is another episode ofPastor to Pastor.

things and send it to somebodywho you think this will help.

other people are hearing andfeeling.
So if you can relate, if youunderstand, if you feel the same
(29:31):
way, hey, I'm not shamed orscared if we can talk about it,
not through the Lord.
Hey, yes sir, yes sir.

Try Jesus, not me.
Okay, my bad, let me go aheadand get out of here, all right.
