SPEAKER_00 (00:08):
Hello, and welcome to A Path to Redemption, the
podcast.
My name is Daniel Arona, andjust remember this simple truth.
The Father loves you, Jesusloves you, and the Holy Spirit
loves you.
Once again, I hope that you hada great week.
I hope that you've had time tospend with the Lord in prayer.
And again, also in thescripture, because again, it is
so important that we're studyingto show ourselves approved unto
God.
It's imperative that we not takeanyone's word for anything, that

(00:29):
we work it out through thescripture, that we work out our
own salvation with fear andtrembling, because there is a
lot out there.
There's just a lot of falseteaching.
out there.
I heard someone again who kindof today said that the giants of
the land came from the Cainites, not from fallen angels, which
just isn't true scripturally orgoing back through the etymology

(00:51):
of the original words.
And it's just throwing a lot ofconfusion on things.
I'm hearing things constantlyabout people setting dates about
the rapture happening thisSeptember.
And I really want to addressthat one here.
And the reason I want to addressit is because they're saying
that no man knows the day northe hour is an idiom for the

(01:12):
Feast of Trumpets.
Do I believe that the rapturewill happen during a Feast of
Trumpets?
I think it makes the most sense, honestly.
Do I know for sure?
Absolutely not.
But I do think it makes the mostsense, considering you see
continually different feastdays.
We've already seen thefulfillment of all the spring
feasts between Passover and alsoPentecost and all those.

(01:33):
I do think it makes sense for itto happen during the Feast of
Trumpets.
But, however, I I don't know if2025 is the year.
People are setting dates aroundSeptember 22nd through 24th
because that's when the Feast ofTrumpets is this year.
And is that true?
I don't know.
They're basing it off the factthat Jesus died in 32 AD, 2,000

(01:55):
years of church history.
It'd be 2032.
You go back seven years and youcome to 2025.
And look, here's the thing.
And here's my honest opinionabout it.
Do I think the rapture is goingto happen?
in 2025.
Honestly, not with everyonetoday in the dates and the way
that it kind of is.
But could it?

(02:15):
Sure.
I don't know.
It's up to God.
It's up to the Father about whenhe's going to come and collect
his saints.
Do I believe that he will?
Absolutely.
I do believe in apre-tribulation rapture.
But here's the other thing I'mgoing to tell you, too, is that
I think that we have to be readyno matter what.
It really doesn't matter whenthe rapture happens.
It really doesn't matteranything.
Because guess what?

(02:35):
Some of us could not make itthrough the end of this day.
You know, this could be the lastthing that you listen to where
God takes you.
You might have to walk throughdeath, but where it's the end of
your life or the end of my life.
But here's the thing is that ifwe're ready and if we're in a
constant state of readiness andin relationship with the Lord,
then it really doesn't matterwhen the rapture is.
It really doesn't matter whenGod decides to come and take us

(02:58):
because we're ready for him andwe're working.
You know, and I go back toMatthew 25, as we talked about,
where we saw the parable of theservant.
It's just in Matthew 24, the endof Matthew.
Matthew 24 going into Matthew25.
God wants to find us working.
He wants us focused on the workthat he has for us to do.
So understanding that, we needus to be ready and focused on

(03:19):
our relationship with him.
Are we doing the work for him?
And not be distracted by all ofthese things.
You know, it could put peopleinto paralysis, honestly, if
they're thinking and worryingand trying to do all these date
settings and all of thosethings.
Don't worry about that stuff.
That really doesn't matter.
What matters is that we asChristians are ready to go at

(03:40):
any moment's notice.
And if you're fostering yourrelationship, if you're focused
solely on him, then you will be.
Okay.
And that's why, again, I startevery single podcast with, you
know, making sure that you arefostering your relationship with
him.
Amen.
Because that is what isimportant.
Okay.
So with all that being said, youknow, last week we talked about

(04:01):
how the promised land was givento Abram, how he inherits
Canaan.
This week, we're going to lookat an interesting section of
scripture right regarding theBattle of Kings.
And really, it's a battle aboutreally Abram taking back over
the land here.
And we'll kind of get to thatwhen we get there.
But again, just somehousekeeping items.
All of our scripture comes fromthe New King James Bible.

(04:22):
If you'd like a copy of the NewKing James Bible, feel free to
drop me a note atpathredemptionohio at gmail.com.
More than happy to get one intoyour hands.
Also, my book's out, GraceAbounds.
If you'd like a copy of that, feel free to drop me a note.
Again, at pathredemptionohio atgmail.com.
And again, finally, don't takemy word for it.
Make sure you're studying toshow yourself approved unto God.

(04:43):
Make sure that you are puttingin the work, okay?
And again, all of this is incontext of the land, the land of
Israel, the land that was givento Abram as an inheritance to
him.
So all of that is going to comeinto play here as we take a look
at this scripture.
So with that, let's jump rightin.

(05:03):
Genesis 14, one through foursays, and it came to pass in the
days of Amraphel, king of Sothat's in the book of Genesis
14, 1-4.
So let's see what the sides arehere.

(05:36):
From one side, you've got Amor.
fell king of shinar so shinarwould have been closer to modern
day iraq where babylon is umariak king elisar um king of
elisar i should say this wouldbe in the same region as shinar
just southeast of babyloncherdeliomer king of elam elam
was the southernmost coast ofmodern day iran along the

(05:57):
persian gulf and then title kingof nations we really don't have
a description of where he ruledbut understanding that he was
also part of this of this grouphere and then on the other side,
we have the cities of the plain.
Bera, king of Sodom.
Bersha, king of Gomorrah.
Shinab, king of Admah.
Shimeber, king of Zeboim.
King of Bila, that is Zoar.

(06:19):
And all of those cities arealong the coast of the Dead Sea
in that region.
And these are all the citiesthat are going to be destroyed
in the discussion of Sodom andGomorrah, which we will get to
as well, because that's actuallythe back half of what God is
going to do amongst thesepeople.
Now, these cities of the plainare where Lot went and they

(06:39):
served Cherdileomer for 12years.
In the 13th year, they rebelled.
So let's look at who thisCherdileomer person was.
He was a king and a descendantof Ham.
Again, these descendants of Hamwere not supposed to be in this
area.
This was not their inheritance.
Ham was supposed to go down toAfrica.
That's key.
So what they had done is theyhad wrongfully taken the land

(07:01):
from the descendants of Shem.
And that's a is that who Godgives the land to matters.
Who God wants to give the landto matters.
So because God does not takekindly when the land is not
given to the people that hewants it to be given to.

(07:22):
And we're going to see thathere, right?
Even the Canaanites own peoplesaid, hey, don't do this.
God's going to get mad at you.
And that's exactly what's goingto happen.
So Jasher 11, and going back tothe book of Jasher, again, not
on the same level of scripture,But, again, can provide
additional context.

(08:07):
Basically, rise up and kill thebrethren that they had there.
So, Tertulliomer was thestrongest and subdued all the
descendants of Ham that were inthe Middle East at this point,
creating basically an evilcoalition in the Promised Land.
And this is what Abram walked inand through as God was wanting
to continue to prosper and blesshim.

(08:28):
So, you know, when we look atAbram in Scripture, we think
about it, well, you know, God,he walked here, he walked there,
yeah, he had some hardships, buthe was the father of the faith.
But I don't think we ever trulyunderstand that, you know,
Abram's walking with God whilethese kings are battling over
his land that's basically beengiven to him by God.
He knows that, and they'resitting here battling amongst

(08:51):
each other even though they'renot even of the same lineage
from Shem that he is.
So now at this point, per thebook of Jasher, Triduleomer was
a prince of Nimrod and herebelled against Nimrod.
Jasher 13.13 says forTriduleomer was at that time one
of the princes of the host ofNimrod and when all the people

(09:12):
at the tower were dispersed andthose that remained were also
scattered upon the face of theearth, Triduleomer went to the
land of Elam and reigned over itand rebelled against his lord.
Now Triduleomer defeats Nimrodand puts them all under tribute.
So that's what's happening herein terms of who these kings are.
So in Jasher 13, 15-16, it says,of Goyim and made a covenant

(09:59):
with them and they were allobedient to his commands.
So to recap, again, Chertuleomerwas headquartered in Elam, which
is on the coast of Persia alongthe Red Sea of modern day Iran.
He conquered the Middle East.
Again, this was not hisinheritance.
This was the inheritance of thechildren of Shem.
Now there were still people inEurope and in Africa and in the
rightful inheritance, but thisChertuleomer is actually a

(10:22):
picture of a type of antichristhere.
Why?
He took land that was not his.
He ruled the Middle East and wasover the promised land.
He subdued the nations of theland, and no one could defeat
him.
And there was a rebellion ofkings against him, just like the
kings of the east will rebelagainst the Antichrist.
Now, the Bible picks up thestory after, and when the kings

(10:43):
have been in rebellion foryears.
And we see that here, and we'regoing to look at it in the book
of Jasher, 16, 1-6, where itsays, And at that time,
Triduleomer, king of Elam, sentto all the neighboring kings, to
Nimrod, king of Shinar, who wasthen under his And to Ariok king
of Elassar, with whom he made acovenant, saying, and Bela king

(11:28):
of Zoar went out to meet themand they all joined together in
the valley of Siddam and thesenine kings made war in the
valley of Siddam and the kingsof Sodom and Gomorrah were
smitten before the kings of Elamand the valley of Siddam was
full of lime pits and the kingsof Elam pursued the kings of
Sodom and the kings of Sodomwith their camps fled and fell
into the lime pits and all thatremained went to the mountain

(11:50):
for safety and the five kings ofElam came after them and pursued
them to the gates of Sodom andthey took all that there was in
Sodom And they plundered all thecities of Sodom and Gomorrah,
and they also took Lot, Abram'sbrother's son, and his property,
and they seized all the goods ofthe cities of Sodom.
And they went away, and Eunuch,Abram's servant, who was in the
battle, saw this, and told Abramall that the kings had done to

(12:13):
the cities of Sodom, and thatLot was taken captive by them.
Okay, now the Bible confirms allof this too, because in Genesis
14, 8-12, it says, And the kingof Sodom, the king of Gomorrah,
the king of Abma, the king ofZeboim, the king of Bila, that
is Zoar, went out and So, Abramhere, in the That's a lot of

(12:58):
backstory, but Abram here isabout to jump into a civil war
between the descendants ofCanaan and Ham over allies and
also because of Lot.
So we have to understand here, because remember, these men were
ruling the land that God hadgiven to Abram.
He had just given it to him inthe previous chapter.

(13:18):
So remember, this was Abram'sinheritance, and he was going to
save those that were his.
And isn't that an amazingpicture of Christ, too?
You see, the world is hisinheritance.
As seen in Psalm 2, 5-8, wherehe says, So this is a really

(14:06):
cool picture of what Jesus didfor us, you know, particularly
with our own carnality, our owniniquity, and those things.
So Abram brings everyone backhere in Genesis 14, 13 through
17.
And it says, The one who hadescaped came and told Abram the
Hebrew, for he dwelt there bythe terabith tree of Mamre the
Amorite, brother of Eschol andbrother of Aner, and he said,

(14:27):
Now, when Abram heard that hisbrother was taken captive, he
armed his 318 trained servantswho were born in his own house
and went in pursuit as far asDan.
He divided his forces againstthem by night, and he and his
servants attacked them andpursued them as far as Hobah,
which is north of Damascus.
So he brought back all the goodsand brought back his brother Lot

(14:52):
and his goods, as well as thewomen and the people.
And the king of Sodom went outto meet him in the valley of
Now, Abram chases him all theway up north to Damascus, which
is in Syria.
So way further north than whereeven the cities of the plain

(15:14):
were or Elam or any of thoseplaces.
So Abram was victorious over thekings that had, you saw how many
hundreds of thousands of menwith only 380 men.
This is the work of God.
It was Abram's land.
that was gifted by God.
He was the rightful heir and therightful ruler over that land.

(15:34):
Okay, I want to be clear aboutthat.
He defeated the false ruler overthe entire Middle East.
Here is a picture of the defeatof the Antichrist by the one who
will be the rightful ruler overthis world, which is Jesus
Christ.
Now, we're going to look aboutthat in more detail next week
when we talk about howMelchizedek comes into this,
because there's a as theMelchizedekian priest, who was

(16:00):
also a king.
But that has to do with the endas well with the defeat of the
Antichrist.
But we will talk about that nextweek because there's a lot of
detail that has to go here.
But the important lesson here isthat God does not take kindly to
those that take land from thosethat he gives it to.
None of these kings weresupposed to be there except for

(16:20):
the king of Salem, who is goingto come out because he's a high
priest of the most high afterthe order of Melchizedek.
And we're going to talk aboutwho he is a little bit next
week.
But here, Abram went anddefeated one side of those that
illegally took the land.
And I'm saying one side becauseit was the four kings, but we
still have the cities of theplain that are going to have to

(16:41):
be dealt with.
And God is going to take care ofthose when we start talking
about Sodom and Gomorrah andwhat God was really trying to
accomplish there.
You know, his work is here.
It's going to lead to thisinteraction with the king of
Salem.
And again, we'll go into depthon that next week.
But understand this, God doesnot like him, just as it was

(17:03):
warned by their very ownbrothers, don't take the land
that's not yours.
If God has given it to you, thenit's yours.
If God has not given it to youand you have not inherited it,
then stay away from it.
In fact, we're going to talkabout this here in a second,
that God will give specific landto Amobites and to the Ammonites

(17:23):
as Lot's portion, and that heeven tells the children of
Israel, Don't take it.
Don't go in there.
It is theirs.
It is for their portion.
And that's the commandment.
That's why you saw even whenpeople gave in their inheritance
in the promised land, when theyear of Jubilee came, it went
back to the families.
It was their inheritance.

(17:44):
God is very, very particularabout that.
And that's why we're seeing thefighting over the land of Israel
today be so crazy, frankly.
And that's why Israel is as amillstone around the necks of
the nations.
It's because it's continuallytrying to be divided,
continually trying to be givento someone else other than who
God wants it's placed with.

(18:06):
And God wants the land of Israelplaced with Israel.
That is very clear if you followit all through Scripture.
And I hear things about, well,it's not the modern day Israel
isn't the Israel of the OldTestament and all this other
stuff.
And look, they're not.
In fact, I think the last stat Isaw was somewhere around 80% of
the people of Israel areactually secular in nature,

(18:29):
meaning they don't even practicetheir religion.
They don't even practiceJudaism.
And there's a small conservativereligious sect that truly does.
But at the end of the day, though, their descendants, the
people, their lineage, which iswhat matters.
The lineage and the inheritanceand following that line is what

(18:50):
matters.
And yes, there are many Arabpeople in there.
There are many European peoplethat live there.
There are many people fromdifferent lineages that live
there, but it doesn't change thefact that the land was given to
the line and lineage of Israelin 1948.
That does not happen.
When a people is conquered, whenpeople are conquered, they don't

(19:11):
get their land back, let alonehave their entire culture thrive
or even make it through that.
But yet for 2,000 years afterthe dispersion in AD 70, which
we'll talk about later, theJewish culture still Now, we'll

(19:31):
talk about all those detailslater, but I want to make sure
I'm laying this down.
God does not take kindly whenpeople take the inheritance that
he has given specific people andthey do something else with it.

(19:56):
Okay?
So...
He's going to continue to workthrough this with Abram.
There's a lot of things that aregoing to happen here, and we'll
talk about the order ofMelchizedek next week and what
that really means, becausethat's really, really important.
But there is one section ofscripture here, if you're
following in your Bible, that Iskipped over that I need to go
back in order to show exactlywhat was going on in the land as

(20:19):
well.
So not only do you have a civilwar going on between the
Canaanite kings and between thedescendants of Ham, but you have
other issues here too.
You have giants in the Andthat's in Genesis 14, 5-7.
It says, Now, why do I putpeople in quotes?

(21:08):
Because I don't believe they'rehuman.
They're all giants.
They're all descendants from thefirst Nephilim, if you look
here.
And I'm going to prove it toyou.
In Deuteronomy 13, it says,Moses actually talks about who

(21:31):
all of these people are.
So Deuteronomy 2, 9 through 12,it says, I want to stop there
for a second, because I justtold you that the land of
Israel, that God has givencertain aspects of that land to

(21:53):
certain people as a possession.
Here, through Moses, he'stelling the Israelites, don't
contend or harass with Moabbecause they're descendants of
Lot because I've given it tothem.
I've given it to them as apossession and I'm not going to
give it to you.
So Israel can't go into thatland.
Israel cannot go into where theMoabites are because that is for

(22:15):
Lot's purpose.
And he does that.
There's going to be threespecific people that he's going
to talk about.
But regardless, I just want tomake sure I'm clear about that.
So he goes on and he says thatYimim had Now again, the Amim we
see in Genesis 14, 5-7, and hereMoses is describing them as

(22:41):
giants.
They are as tall as the Anakim.
So they were also regarded asgiants, like the Anakim, but the
Moabites call them Amin.
The Horites formerly dwelt inSeir, but the descendants of
Esau dispossessed them anddestroyed them from before them
and dwelt in their place, justas Israel did to the land of
their possession, which the Lordgave them.

(23:02):
So, the Bible is clear here.
The Amim is a race, and theHorites are races of giants that
Tur de Leomer went and actuallyfought with, and the Moabites
went and fought with, and theEdomites, or the descendants of
Seir, went and fought with.
So, as Abram's walking throughthis land here, everywhere that

(23:23):
he goes in this land, there aregiants everywhere to be found,
okay?
Now, jumping down to Deuteronomy2, 19-23, it says, Now, Why is

(24:17):
this all important?
Because I want to be clear that, that Cherdilem were fought with
the Zuzim, who I believe are theZamzamim here that, that Genesis
is talking about, or that Mosesis talking about.
And he talks about how the, the,the children of Ammon actually
went and defeated all of themand how even the ones that were
in the valley of the Rephaim whodwelt as far in the villages as

(24:39):
far as Gaza, because rememberthe kings of Gaza are going to
go down into the valley ofRephaim in order to find Goliath
and his four brothers, sothey're the few ones that are
left over, but at the end of theday, they were all defeated.
So clearly here, Moses describesthe Zamzanim and compares them
to Anakim.
So the Amalekites and theAmorites are dealt with by

(25:02):
Israel, the Amalekites are dealtwith in 1 Samuel, and the
Amorites along with Agabashan inNumbers 21.
So here you see the differentraces of giants that were in the
land during Abram's time.
The key thing to understand hereis that while While Abram was
walking on this earth andwalking about the land of
Canaan, giants were allthroughout the land that God had

(25:23):
given to him and to hisdescendants.
See, God had given Abram theland.
It was his.
Yet even while he walked, giantsand evil were all around him.
He's in the middle of a civilwar.
He's got these giant problemsgoing on.
This is no different than us.
God has given each one of us aland to possess, to occupy until
he comes.
There's evil all around it.

(25:45):
And even giants that make ussmaller in our own eyes.
Yet God will protect us in thatland just as he did Abram.
And what do I mean by the land?
I mean about your life.
I'm talking about the families.
I'm talking about the people ofinfluence that you come against.
Yes, sometimes it may seem likeyou are banging your head
against the wall when you talkto them about Jesus, but I'm
telling you that you canovercome them through prayer and

(26:07):
through the Holy Spirit andthrough Jesus Christ and through
the Father because ultimatelyhe's the one that controls it.
It is just our responsibility towalk in the midst of the land to
Show the goodness of God.
Show the goodness of JesusChrist.
Show how the Holy Spirit canwork and provide them the
opportunity to come to him.
It is their choice whether ornot they are going to accept him

(26:28):
or not.
But when it's time, it will betime for us to go put up a fight
for what God has given us.
Are we going to go toe-to-toe inprayer?
Are we going to seek those thatcan help us pray for the people
that are in our lives?
When we do, we must do so alongthe intimacy of relationship
with God.
That was the difference.
friends.
Abram believed because he hadthe relationship with God to

(26:51):
trust in him.
So seeing all of this now, weunderstand that even while Abram
was walking through this world, even as he was here, he did so
in the middle of a civil war, threw himself into the middle of
a civil war to go get what washis, and that God had given him,
and then ultimately ended upwalking through lands of giants
and everything else in order topossess the land that God had

(27:13):
given him.
So if Abram was able to walkthrough this just by the
entrance of his relationshipsand not feign in faith despite
everything he's going, how muchmore so should we be able to
walk through?
Because we have Jesus Christ andthe Holy Spirit.
Abram didn't have that.
He didn't have that doubleportion that we have.
So we shouldn't be sitting backon our hands and going, God,
what are you doing?

(27:33):
What are you doing?
No, we should have faith andtrust God and know that no
matter what happens, it's allbecause he wants it to for the
believer.
Amen.
So look, I hope you're gettingsomething out of this.
Next week, we are going to go indepth into Melchizedek, who he
is.
We're going to use some piecesfrom the Order of Melchizedek
podcast I did in Season 6 ofthis podcast.

(27:53):
I would also recommend you goback and listen to Genesis 6
because that can provide someadditional background here.
But regardless, there weregiants in this land here.
And I think that it's importantthat we understand what Abram
walked through.
Even while the promise was thereand even while the possession
was his, he still had to walkthrough it until he saw the

(28:13):
fullness of it.
No different than David.
no different than Christhimself, as he's still sitting
at the right hand of the Father, awaiting until his enemies be
made his footstool.
Amen.
So look, until next time, justremember this simple truth.
The Father loves you, Jesusloves you, and the Holy Spirit
loves you.
God bless.
