You’ll learn:

  • Why your identity cannot be defined by the world, labels, or past failures
  • How the enemy works to keep you blind to your God-given authority
  • The incredible way Christ restores us to wholeness and freedom
  • What it means to walk boldly as a child of the Most High God

glad you're here.

blueprint for life so you canwalk in the freedom He intended
for you from the very beginning.

(00:22):
Each week, we'll explore faith, family, finances, health,
purpose, and much more.
Why?
Because you were created in hisimage on purpose and for
purpose.
Be sure to follow so you nevermiss an episode.
I'm your host.

(00:44):
And today we're diving into animportant topic, the truth about
the beginning, why identitymatters.
Today's episode is acornerstone message that will
shape everything we will explorein the coming weeks.
Before we dive into the truthabout our identity series, we

(01:06):
need to go back to the beginningin Genesis to understand why it
matters, how we lost ouridentity.
our identity and the incredibleway God made for us to reclaim
it.
In other words, because to knowwho you are, you must first
understand why you were created, what went wrong, and how God

(01:30):
made a way for restoration.
In the very beginning, Godcreated mankind in his image,
beautiful, intentional, and fullof purpose.
Genesis 1.20 26-28 tells usthat he gave us dominion,
authority to rule over the earthin partnership with him.

(01:53):
We were designed to reflect hisnature, to walk in perfect
intimacy with him, and tosteward his creation with love
and wisdom.
But something happened.
When Adam disobeyed God, thatdivine authority was handed
over.
Sin entered the world and withit came brokenness, separation,

(02:18):
and pain.
And what was once ours, dominion, was surrendered.
And the enemy stepped in totake what man forfeited.
Hear me, what man forfeited.
Scripture tells us in 2Corinthians 4, verse 4, Satan,
who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those

(02:39):
who don't believe.
They are unable to see theglorious light of the good news.
They don't understand thismessage about the glory of
Christ, who is the exactlikeness of God.
This is the world we're borninto.
One where the enemy workstirelessly to keep us blind,

(03:02):
lost, and disconnected from thetruth.
We are born into a nature thatstands in opposition to God.
That's why this world is filledwith hatred, deception, fear,
pain, evil, and everything thatcontradicts who God is.
But Satan is not just adeceiver He is defeated.

(03:25):
His destiny is sealed.
He can never be redeemed and heknows it.
So his mission is to cause usto search for purpose, meaning,
and identity everywhere elseexcept in the one who made us.
He wants to keep us from everdiscovering who we are and what

(03:48):
was purchased for us throughChrist Jesus.
But God, our creator, full ofcompassion sent his only son,
Jesus Christ, to rescue us.
Through his sacrifice, apathway was made for
forgiveness, redemption, and newlife.
When we accept Jesus as Lord, the spirit man comes alive.

(04:10):
We are no longer separated.
We are reconciled.
And not only that, but we arealso gifted the Holy Spirit.
He becomes our comforter.
He is our helper.
He is our daily guide.
He renews our minds, strengthens our hearts, and

(04:33):
reminds us of the truth.
We are no longer who we oncewere.
Knowing who you are and whoseyou are is essential in this
world.
Because without identity, theenemy can convince you that you
are powerless, unworthy, andalone.
But when you know you are achild of God, of the Most High,

(04:59):
a chosen one, born with purposeand divine authority, you began
to walk differently.
You began to live boldly.
You don't live in fear.
You don't bow to the lies.
You stand in truth and declare,if God is for me, who can be
against me?
That is Romans chapter 8, verse31.

(05:22):
There is no matter He reignsabove all.
And he's calling you to reclaimyour true identity.
Not one shaped by your past, bythis broken world, or by lies,
but one rooted in his truth, hislove, and his design.

(05:43):
This is why identity matters.
This is why the enemy fights sohard to distort it.
Because if you ever truly knewwho you were in Christ,
everything would change.
It's time for a change.
So before we begin our upcomingseries on identity, I want you

(06:05):
to sit with this truth.
You were created for dominion.
You were born into a world ofdeception.
But through Christ, you can bereborn into truth, power, and
purpose.
It's It's time to know who youare.
If today's episode encouragedyou, be sure to like, subscribe,

(06:33):
and share it with someone whoneeds this message.
Until next time, walk boldly inhis design and embrace the
