Natasha Nelson, AKA the SuperNova Momma, has been an advocate and educator for mental illness and developmental delays, and is considered a trusted expert in the field. About the guest: Natasha Nelson, also known as Supernova Momma, is the CEO of Supernova Parenting, an organization that empowers caregivers of families facing mental illness and intellectual development disabilities. She is a disability advocate, a certified educator and facilitator for positive discipline and mental health initiatives, a highly decorated veteran, and mother to two autistic Black girls. Natasha’s award winning advocacy and leadership is all achieved while managing her own neurodivergence - she is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, OCD, Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD), PTSD, and Somatic Symptom Disorder (SSD). she uses her education, personal and professional experience to inspire all families facing mental illness and/or intellectual developmental disability and neurodivergence, arming them with the tools and resources they need to break down barriers and thrive.
