Welcome Back Patriots!

Today I share a song that I created as part of the Revolutionary Rhythms Music page, which is music about the Revolutionary War. I couldn't find specific songs about founding fathers or battles, so I created my own! We have 5 or so on the website, with more being added frequently.

There will be more songs posted as podcast episodes in between main episodes, and I hope you enjoy them.

This song is about George Washington and you can view the lyrics byclicking here or they are listed below:

Song: General of the Stars

About: George Washington

Lyrics:

In the heart of the struggle he stood tall

With a fire in his eyes and a cannonball

On the field of honor where the brave did fall

Led by a man with courage strong as a wall

George Washington the beacon in the night

He stood for freedom he fought the good fight

From the valleys low to the mountains height

He carved a path with justice burning bright

Through the winter's cold and the summer's blaze

He inspired men with his steadfast gaze

Fought for liberty in the darkest days

Every step he took set the world ablaze

George Washington the beacon in the night

He stood for freedom he fought the good fight

From the valleys low to the mountains height

He carved a path with justice burning bright

He crossed the Delaware in freezing rain

Defied the odds broke the enemy's chain

In the face of fear he knew no disdain

Guided by honor not pursuit of gain

George Washington the beacon in the night

He stood for freedom he fought the good fight

From the valleys low to the mountains height

He carved a path with justice burning bright

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
