SPEAKER_03 (00:16):
Welcome to the Pat's
Peeps Podcast.
Where I am extraordinarily proudto present to you Pats Peeps
365.
That's a milestone to me becausethat means, you know, 365 days
in the year and all.
(00:37):
And you would think, well, you've been, I think you've been
doing this longer than a year, haven't you?
The answer, of course, would beyes.
I've been doing this now twoyears, but that is uh, of
course, as I mentioned before,in my defense, I already do a
show five nights a week, and Itry to do this show five days a
(00:59):
week.
Sometimes, you know, sometimesyou can't.
There's other circumstances, butbut generally I'm trying to do
it every day.
And uh so when you consider 365,when you exclude weekends and
holidays and all of that, hey,and some travel days, then
that's kind of the way it goes.
(01:20):
But I'm very proud to be at 365.
I'm proud to uh to have um youknow developed an audience, and
and I I can't thank you enough.
Like yesterday, well, a coupledays ago, I was doing my little
Thanksgiving.
Spectacular here on Pat's Peeps,if you have not heard that.
Uh happy Thanksgiving time.
It's uh what a week away fromtoday.
(01:42):
So as I stare out my studiowindow into the beautiful
foothills of Northern Californiaon this Thursday, the 20th day
of November 2025.
It's a gray day.
It rained overnight.
I could hear it rainingovernight, but it's not right
now.
I'm gonna have to go gather somefirewood for the long night
(02:03):
ahead here in the boy, it's niceout.
It's nice and green.
Anyhow, wherever you are, surelyI do appreciate you listening.
By the way, I'm the host of thePut Wall Show, KPK News Radio,
93.1 FM, 1530 a.m.
And uh we're 7 to 10 p.m.
(02:24):
Did I just say that?
Ah, whatever.
I love it this week.
We've had so many good calls anduh a lot of first-time
listeners, which I'm all Ialways love when we get
first-time listeners.
So just a couple of remindersfor you here.
Number one, please don't forgetabout the free dinner rock and
(02:45):
soul diner.
Please, if you look that you'retalking about a win-win-win.
So if you go, we're all tryingto beat inflation.
I know I keep saying that, butthat's what patspeeps.com.
PatsPeeps is all about, not justthe podcast.
But please go there.
If you're going downtown, ifyou're anywhere near downtown,
go to Rock and Soul Diner andget your two for one dinner.
(03:08):
R-O-C and S O L, Rock and SoulDinners.
I have to underline that.
People are like, yeah, I heardyou give guys you guys your two
for one breakfast.
No! But they have good breakfastand lunch, but it's two for one
dinners.
We're trying to emphasize thatbecause we want to build the
dinner crowd.
We could do that.
You know, here's an idea.
(03:28):
We should get together for adinner over there.
Let me know what you guys think.
If you're listening now and youlisten to my radio show later,
what do you think about gettingtogether for dinner over there?
One night, just flood the place.
We'd have to pick like aSaturday night or maybe a night
when, you know, during theholidays when some people have
time off.
It doesn't have to be a Saturdaynight that might that way.
(03:49):
Maybe it could be another nightduring a week if we all have
time off during the holidays, and hopefully we'll have some,
all of us will have a little bitof time off for that time of the
year.
So, yeah, just a thought.
Also, please don't forget aboutmy brother Tim, who is giving,
you know, he's he's the what doyou say, the the owner, the
(04:12):
proprietor of AI Lending, who,as I've told you before, if
you're listening to me rightnow, and if you've been
listening to my podcast or myradio show for some time, you
know, I just came back from thistrip.
We went to Sicily and Italyagain for the fourth time.
Then uh Ryan and I went over toEngland, but I'd just like to
(04:33):
remind you here that my brotherTim, my youngest brother, wants
to give all of my listeners agreat deal, and I'm very proud
to announce that.
SPEAKER_08 (04:42):
Yeah, one other
thing that I wanted to mention
to you that I because it's yourshow, Pat's Pete's group.
I understand that you knowyou're the host of Conservative
Tours.
I wanted to uh share this withyou.
So generally start in March,April, May, June, July, August
through August.
Typically the buying season forthe rules, you know, customers
wanting to buy a home so theycan get in before the following
(05:04):
of the next four years.
What we'd like to do, if you'reokay with this, we'd like to uh
have a drawing.
You know, once we find ourhundredth home, we'd like to
have a drawing and put all thenames in.
One through a hundred, and we'dlike to draw out a name and
sponsor and pay for a trip foruh one of the sort of our mutual
(05:26):
customers at that week and asignificant others.
I've heard so many wonderfulthings, and I guess to say all
the pictures that you send usunfortunately today.
We decide that we're gonna go onthe trip.
We'd like to pay for uh somebodyto join us.
And uh we're excited.
And not to mention, as wediscussed earlier, I think in
the show, that you know, atfunding, we're gonna, you know,
(05:47):
for Patch Peaks, we're gonnarefund the appraisal fee at
funding.
And so not just the trip, but uhwe're gonna refund the appraisal
fee as well.
We appreciate uh, of course, youand we're looking forward to a
very fun and productive uhrelationship with Patch Peaks.
SPEAKER_03 (06:04):
That again, my
brother Timothy, my youngest
brother, just a reminder for youis we're all trying to save
money, and I think that's agreat deal and a great offer
from AI Lending.
Go to AILending.com, or you can,of course, uh look them up for
yourself and find out everythingabout that business.
But uh be nice to travel withyou if you do happen to win that
trip.
(06:25):
Anyhow, here on Pat's Peeps 365.
You know, you just never know.
I thought about doing, you know, like a little retrospective,
going back and playing littleexcerpts from some of my
previous podcasts to celebrateone full year, 365, of doing
(06:45):
these, and then I decidedagainst it.
Because here's the reality ofit.
You know, maybe at 500 I'll dothat.
But I kind of go with whateveris on my mind that day.
And even though I do try toavoid this at times, I cannot
avoid it today.
So, with that in mind, I gottatell you, today, a little
(07:08):
politics that caught myattention.
The one story that really caughtmy attention is the story
regarding Stacy Plaskett, whoremains defiant over the so you
want to talk.
I've put this Epsteinconversation on hold for a long
time because there was not muchto say.
What are you gonna say?
But now they're getting down tothe nitty-gritty, so I am gonna
(07:30):
take a couple of minutes onthis.
Representative Stacy Plaskettyesterday expressing no regret
for her prior contact with theconvicted sex offender.
This is amazing to me.
Jeffrey Epstein, and it would beamazing on either side of the
aisle.
So I ain't trying to pick onDemocrats here, but it's just
(07:50):
the truth, man.
You must be kidding me.
This story, for me to get allirate over politics, Stacy
Plaskett expressed no regret forher prior contact with convicted
sex offender Jeffrey Epsteinduring a 2019 House Oversight
Committee hearing.
In an interview with CNN's TheSituation Room, the Democrat
(08:13):
acknowledging that she initiatedcontact with the disgraced
financier on the the day thatshe was set to question
President Donald Trump's formerfixer, Michael Cohen, but
refused to say if she regrettedthe communication.
Plaskett, who, by the way, Irefer to here in a couple of
(08:33):
times, I believe I may bemistaken, Plaskey.
I apologize if that's the case.
Anyhow, Plaskett, who drewscrutiny recently following the
release of these documents fromEpstein from the estate,
revealed her text with him.
Here's what I gotta do.
I just gotta play this for you.
I have to play this for you fromCNN.
I'm gonna let it speak foritself on Pat's Peeps 365.
SPEAKER_09 (09:00):
She represents the
Virgin Islands, for texting with
Jeffrey Epstein during a 2019hearing that featured Donald
Trump's former fixer, MichaelCohen.
These were texts that were amongthe 20,000 pages of documents
the House released last week, and they show that Epstein
texted Stacey Plaskett saying, quote, Cohen brought up Rona
Rona, keeper of the secrets, referring to Trump's longtime
(09:22):
assistant, Rona Graaff.
Plaskett responded, quote, Rona, and then asked, quick, I'm up
next.
Is that an acronym?
Epstein replied, that's hisassistant.
A few minutes later, Plaskettasked this.
SPEAKER_04 (09:36):
Is uh Miss Rona,
what is Miss Rona's?
SPEAKER_01 (09:39):
Rona Graff is the
Mr.
Trump's executive assistant.
SPEAKER_04 (09:42):
And would she be
able to corroborate many of the
statements that you've madehere?
SPEAKER_01 (09:45):
Yes, she was her
office is directly next to his.
And she's involved in a lot thatwent on.
SPEAKER_09 (09:54):
A minute after
Plaskett wrapped up her
questioning there, Epsteintexted her, quote, good work.
The text exchange comes justthree months after the Miami
Herald published itsinvestigation detailing
Epstein's abuse of young girls, and tonight House Democrats are
fiercely defending StaceyPlaskett, with the leader Hakeem
Jeffries, calling the centervote a political stunt, as
(10:14):
Plaskett is echoing that defenseand denying that Epstein had any
influence on her questions.
SPEAKER_05 (10:19):
They've taken a text
exchange which shows no
participation, no assistance, noinvolvement in any illegal
activity, and weaponized it forpolitical theater.
SPEAKER_03 (10:31):
Weaponized it for
political theater.
She's texting a child abuserduring the hearing, and somehow
they weaponized it for politicaltheater.
SPEAKER_09 (10:44):
Because that's what
this is.
SPEAKER_03 (10:46):
Right.
SPEAKER_09 (10:46):
And my source
tonight is the Democratic Leader
in the House, Hakeem Jeffries, and thank you, sir.
SPEAKER_03 (10:51):
This guy's
unbelievable.
This guy's pure slime.
SPEAKER_09 (11:05):
But in your view,
were they appropriate?
SPEAKER_00 (11:08):
Listen to this.
Well, Stacey Plaskett is notaccused of violating any house
rules.
SPEAKER_03 (11:12):
It's a simple
question.
Right there.
I'm going to stop it rightthere.
It's a simple question.
Was it inappropriate for Plaskeyto text Jeffrey Epstein after it
was already made clear that thisguy was a sex offender?
And the House Minority Leader, this is the same guy who told
(11:36):
everyone how safe it is inChicago so they don't need the
National Guard, as he was doingit in the part of Chicago where
perhaps you don't need theNational Guard.
I didn't see him giving hisspeech there in West Garfield
Park or Englewood or WashingtonPark or Austin or North Lawdale
(11:56):
or any other dangerous, povertystricken part of Chicago.
People are fleeing Chicagobecause of this guy.
But listen to this.
She asks him the question Is itinappropriate?
Well, I she haven't here you go.
SPEAKER_09 (12:11):
In your view, were
they appropriate?
SPEAKER_00 (12:14):
Well, Stacey
Plaskett is not accused of
violating any house rule and theanswer is no, it's not
appropriate.
And I think what the survivorsfought for today is the type of
transparency that came out ofthe house, went through the
(12:37):
Senate, and is now on its way toDonald Trump's.
SPEAKER_03 (12:40):
Listen, see, it all
with Hakeem Jeffries, it all
leads right back to DonaldTrump.
You can talk about anything withthis man, and you will connect
the dots, and it will go rightback to Donald Trump.
Just like it is.
So he can't answer the questionwhether or not it is
inappropriate to text the sexoffender during this hearing.
(13:04):
Nope.
2019 hearing.
This guy's already well known asa sex offender.
She's getting text from him, getting instructions from him.
I mean, don't you have to beoutraged, outraged about this?
I mean, really?
And then even more outrageous isthe fact that this fool just
(13:25):
continues to not respond oranswer the question, and then
he'll complain after the thirdone, like, well, this is the
third time you've asked me this.
SPEAKER_00 (13:35):
Well, hopefully
he'll sign it into law because
at the end of the day, all theAmerican people are asking for
is just the truth, the wholetruth, and nothing but the
truth, which is why theseEpstein files that Donald Trump
and his administration have beenhiding for months need to be
released.
SPEAKER_03 (13:51):
Trump, Trump, Trump,
Trump, Trump.
SPEAKER_09 (13:52):
Do you think it was
appropriate for her to be
texting with Jeffrey Epstein 11years after he pleaded guilty?
SPEAKER_00 (13:58):
I mean, I have not
had a conversation with her.
SPEAKER_03 (13:59):
See, second time
asked.
He just interrupted her.
I haven't had a conversationwith her.
I'm sorry, do you have to have aconversation with her to think
to know whether or not that'sinappropriate?
I can assure you, if this wereTrump doing this, oh, he'd be
answering the question.
If she asked that question andit was a Republican, or if it
(14:21):
were Trump, yeah, oh, he wouldbe able to answer the question.
But in this case, you know, Ihaven't had a conversation with
her.
Again, no answer.
It's just talk, talk, talk, pretend like you're answering.
Do you think it was appropriatefor her to for Plaskey to text
message Jeffrey Epstein, who was11 years earlier, a convicted
(14:46):
sex offender, that you've beentrying to railroad people with
this now that it's coming out?
Do you think this wasappropriate?
Well, um, you know, when I was akid, I did have a 10 speed, and
sometimes I'd go down to thepark, me and my friends, we go
to McDonald's and then we'd go,we'd ride around the
neighborhood and um, you know, hang out for a while.
(15:11):
Well, let me ask you this.
Uh do you think it wasappropriate for her to text
message Epstein during thehearing?
SPEAKER_02 (15:21):
Uh but most
importantly, the survivors.
SPEAKER_00 (15:27):
I think that we
successfully defeated a
resolution uh that lacked anybasis, was uncredible, was not
credible, and was being broughtuh by an individual who was
trying to weaponize this issueto reinvigorate his own failed
gubernatorial campaign in SouthCarolina.
It was rejected on a bipartisanbasis on the floor today.
(15:51):
That's the end of the story.
SPEAKER_03 (15:52):
Oh, that's the end.
That's the end of the story.
That's it.
No, that's the end.
Oh, hold on.
Wait, you know, to her credit, she's this woman with no
expression on CNN.
Caitlin Collins.
She's always very stone faced, but here she is, to her credit,
saying, Well, you know, again, all I'm really asking here is,
(16:13):
is it appropriate?
That's the end of the story.
Oh, that's the end of the story.
SPEAKER_09 (16:16):
I was just asking if
you personally believe messaging
with Jeffrey Epstein, who is atthat point a registered sex
offender, is is appropriate fora member of the House Democratic
August.
SPEAKER_00 (16:28):
It's the third time
that you've asked me this
question, and I'm gonna give youthe same exact answer.
SPEAKER_03 (16:31):
Well, you haven't
given an answer.
You have not given an answer.
See, they want us to think we'reall just buffoons, like we're
gonna be completely bamboozledby this.
Oh my gosh, he did answer thistwice.
No, he did not.
Here is the simple answer.
(16:54):
The answer is no.
Are you kidding me?
You sit there and stare at acamera and talk like this and
act like we are some kind offools.
And there are the sad thing isthat be some people believe
this.
The answer is no.
How much more clear can you makeit?
You're alienating people if youthink that it's okay to not
(17:19):
answer the question presentedhere, whether or not it's
appropriate for essentiallyJeffrey Epstein to give to kind
of lead the questioning and theinformation to this Plaskett in
this hearing.
SPEAKER_00 (17:36):
Our focus today is
on making sure that the Jeffrey
Epstein files were released.
If you want to have aconversation with Stacey
Plaskett about it, I'm sureshe'd be willing to talk to you.
It was an illegitimate effort totry to remove her from the
house.
SPEAKER_03 (17:49):
Illegitimate effort.
SPEAKER_00 (17:51):
Committee on
Intelligence.
SPEAKER_03 (17:54):
Right.
Illegitimate because, you know, all she was doing was, you know,
texting a uh a sex offender.
And again, you can't tell me ifit was going the other way that
he wouldn't answer thatquestion.
This clearly shows that puttingon the Republicans is a sex
offender.
Absolutely.
SPEAKER_09 (18:13):
Well, let me ask you
about you, because the White
House has been highlighting anemail that I'm sure you've seen
today that Jeffrey Epstein gotin 2013.
It they say it shows you weresoliciting money and dinner from
an Epstein.
The email was not sent from you,it was sent from a political
consulting firm called DynamicSRG that says we are thrilled to
announce we are working withCongressman Hakeem Jeffries.
Shoot us an email or give us acall if you would like to get
(18:35):
involved.
What's your response?
Do you recall that email beingsent to Jeffrey Epstein from
that team?
SPEAKER_00 (18:41):
Yeah, of course I
have no recollection of the
email.
Never met with him, never methim, know nothing about him.
I know nothing about extremethings that he's been convicted
of doing.
Uh and that's why, you know, I'mjust strongly supportive of the
effort.
Backing the survivors to makesure that everything can come
out, whatever is in thoseDepartment of Justice files.
SPEAKER_09 (19:04):
So you never got a
donation from Jeffrey Epstein or
anything like that.
SPEAKER_02 (19:08):
Certainly not.
SPEAKER_03 (19:09):
Certainly not.
Are you kidding me?
Of course not.
Anyhow, you know, sometimes youjust have to get it off your
chest, and I think I did thattoday.
I feel better.
That's why I cannot do politicsall the time.
But I clear the deck every oncein a while, and then I end up
(19:29):
feeling good about that.
So I just or maybe I feel bad.
I don't know.
I just know I needed to getthat.
And then there's a couple ofother things.
So I that's just part of part ofthe things I needed to talk
about to sort of clear the decktoday.
Here's the other thing.
Of course, then you haveNewsom's former chief of staff
(19:51):
who has now been charged withallegedly stealing campaign
funds from the ex HHS Secretary,Dana Williamson.
Gavin Newsom's former chief ofstaff, this is from this past
week.
Indicted on federal charges, alleging that she was involved
in a scheme to steal campaignmoney from the former health
(20:12):
secretary, Xavier Becerra.
This federal indictment listingfour other conspirators,
alleging that Williamsondeveloped a plan with Sean
McCluskey, longtime Becerraaide, to siphon money from one
of Becerra's dormant statecampaign accounts to give
McCluskey to pad his salaryafter he accepted a job as chief
(20:36):
of staff in Washington.
Isn't that nice?
Becerra is a former member ofCongress.
He was appointed to CaliforniaAttorney General in 2017,
filling a vacancy fromre-elected, and then re-elected,
I should say, in 2018, withWilliamson running his campaign.
Joe Biden later, as thepresident, appointed him as
(20:57):
Secretary of Health and HumanServices, and he is now running
for California governor in nextyear's election.
He is not implicated in theindictment.
McCluskey signing a pleaagreement October 30th in which
he admitted to a count ofconspiracy to commit bank fraud
and wire fraud.
(21:17):
According to the filings, heagreed to pay back$225,000 that
he took from the account.
Let's not let that overshadowyou have a U.S.
Congresswoman charged now withstealing$5 million in federal
disaster funds.
Florida Congresswoman chargedwith stealing$5 million in
(21:38):
federal disaster funds.
Sheila Sherfless McCormickaccused of laundering some
federal, some of the FederalEmergency Management M agency
money, FEMA money, into her 2021election campaign.
Forty-six-year-old Democratunder investigation by the House
of Representatives EthicsCommittee could be expelled from
(22:01):
the chamber in a statement.
Sheffless McCormick, who waselected to Congress in 22,
maintained that she was innocentand vowed to clear her name.
She faces up to 53 years inprison if she's convicted.
Fraud was allegedly carried outthrough a health care company
operated by the Congresswomanand her brother, Edwin
(22:22):
Sheffless.
Now who is a co-acused, uhco-accused in this matter.
Sheflis McCormick, the chiefexecutive, was the chief
executive of the family firmTrinity Healthcare Services at
the time.
Company had won a FEMA contractto register people for COVID
vaccines.
(22:43):
But in July 2021, it received anoverpayment of five million
dollars in federal funds, according to the Justice
Department.
Is that worth up to 53?
How do you think you're going toget away with this?
That's my question.
The siblings allegedly tried todisguise the money source by
routing it through severalaccounts and then eventually
used a quote substantial portionon her congressional campaign.
(23:08):
That is just so deplorable.
Talk about deplorable.
Shefless McCormick and anotherperson named in the indictment
allegedly diverted the fundsfrom the FEMA contract to
friends and relatives whodonated the money back to her
campaign as personalcontributions, according to the
(23:28):
prosecutors, who said that noone's above the law.
Least of all, powerful peoplewho rob taxpayers for personal
gain.
According to the attorney.
Anyhow, now I feel better.
I got it all off of my chest.
Alright?
Thank you.
I move on.
I grabbed a record off my recordshelf today, my rare 45 shelf.
(23:53):
And this particular record, there's not a stamp on it.
It's so clean.
Capital record label.
It's a white label.
Not for sale.
Says right there, not for sale.
Capital white label.
This is, let me see.
Well, stereo on both sides.
(24:13):
Same song both sides of therecord.
But no radio station stickers,nothing.
This is the eighth single bythis English pop rock band,
released March 14th, 1983.
Song was released as astandalone single, became the
band's first UK number onerecord.
(24:37):
Debuted in the number oneposition on the UK singles chart
on March 26th, 83.
Single also had great success inAmerica, where it was released
in late May, went to number fouron the U.S.
Billboard Hot 100 on August 6th,83.
Sold more than a million copies.
(24:57):
This is the as this was uh wellthe last numbers I really have
on this is from 2021.
As of October of 2021, so we'retalking four years ago now, but
uh this song is the 11th moststreamed song by this band, at
least in the UK.
Now that's narrowing it down.
Recorded at Tony Visconti'sGooder Studios in Soho.
(25:21):
I was just there.
I was just in Soho, London, withproducer Ian Little, who was
recommended to this group byRoxy Music's Phil Manzanera.
And eventually the song went uhit went underwent several rounds
of mixing.
There was a lack of compressionon the drums.
One of the mixes uh was done atGood Earth, one was at Eel Pie
(25:45):
Studios, one at Gallery, andthen one at the Power Station,
which of course became a name ofanother band, which a couple of
the members of this band were inthat band.
But anyhow, keyboardist NickRhodes remembered being present
most of the night during themix.
Left the next day thinking theband had something special on
(26:08):
their hands.
Then, but then they decided alittle bit later on, hey, you
know, with the the mix that theyhad was a little um it was
considered a beautiful mix.
A little too soft for the soundthey were asking, they were
looking for.
Final mix was done with producerAlex Sedkin.
And I bet this hasn't been outof the record sleeve ever.
(26:28):
Oh, look at that.
It is absolutely pristine,beautiful condition.
All right, this is theresomething, is there something I
should know?
Duran Duran Pat's Peeps 365.
(28:13):
Roger Taylor on drums, AndyTaylor on guitar and vocals.
No, I don't own the rights tothis.
Hope you're having a greatThursday.
(28:33):
I want to say thank you forlistening to my podcast number
365.
I look forward to another fullyear of podcasts over the next
couple of years.
Thank you.
We'll see you.
We'll see you on the radio.
