Ever wondered how the chaos of the world might be affecting your health? Join me, Patti, on a deeply personal journey as I explore the natural healing path for arthritis amidst the noise of global and national upheavals. Steering clear of traditional medications, I've embraced a lifestyle change by cutting out inflammatory foods like tomatoes and wheat, all while holding onto hope for health policy changes with figures like RFK Jr. My story isn't just about the physical; it's about navigating a labyrinth of misleading health labels and toxic products in our everyday lives, especially as the holidays loom large.

But it's not all serious! Discover the unexpected joy of rekindling my love for dairy through raw goat milk, and the sheer delight of crafting my own cheeses. The therapeutic process of making sourdough bread and cheese has enriched my connection with local farms and community, illustrating the profound beauty in perseverance, exploration, and commitment. We'll also touch on the often-sidelined topic of detoxing heavy metals and parasites, revealing how zeolite has become a staple in my health regimen. This episode is a heartfelt invitation to find inspiration in my experiences and encouragement for your own health journey, all while we share a laugh and some cheese along the way.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
Well, hello again.
This is Patti and you are onthe Patti Talks Too Much channel
on Rumble or on YouTube, andthank you for joining me again
for an update on the questioncan I heal my arthritis
naturally?

(00:30):
And so what a couple of monthsit's been.
I think it's been a good couplemonths since I last spoke to
you and so much has beenhappening, not only in my
healing journey, but obviouslyin our world, and one of the
things that I was thinking aboutwas how much all of what goes

(00:53):
on in our world, how much thataffects our health journey.
No matter if we are trying toheal from something like
arthritis or we're just tryingto maintain good health.
It's a mind, body, spiritjourney, and all of these

(01:13):
factors have an impact, and so alot has happened over the last
couple of months.
We've had an election that hasbeen a huge deal in the United
States, and there have just beenso many things happening A lot

(01:36):
of fear, stuff in the news thathas really affected a lot of
people.
Just the other day, I wastalking to my mom and she was
like I've got to stop watchingthe news.
It's keeping me up at night andshe's not alone.
I mean the people that I followonline.
One of the things that's been apretty consistent message that

(02:00):
people have been picking up allover is that people are having
more and more difficultysleeping.
They're more stressed out, sowe have this really big shift.
Of course we have, you know, those who did not support the
current president-elect.
There's a lot of teeth gnashingand hair pulling and meltdowns

(02:21):
and so forth, so there's thatwhich is in the extreme.
But even those who support thecurrent president-elect, there's
still a lot of uncertainty.
There's still a lot of thingsgoing on in the world having to
do with war and peace and theeconomy peace and the economy.

(02:43):
That's really making peoplecontinue to have that underlying
dread feeling.
And then, of course, we'recoming into the holidays.
We just had Thanksgiving.
We're coming into the holidaysand the holidays tend to be
pretty stressful for people ingeneral.
So there's a lot going on, andso I wanted to give people an

(03:10):
update on what that has lookedlike for me in the last couple
of months and what it continuesto look like my victories and
some of my struggles.
So I am entering into the sixthmonth of my journey toward

(03:31):
healing my arthritis.
I have osteo and my doctorsuspected I might have
rheumatoid as well.
So it might be a a double, double whammer for me, but I'm
in.
I'm entering into the sixthmonth of my journey toward
healing this condition,naturally.

(03:53):
So I do not take any painmedication, have not taken any
pain medication and have nottaken any of the medication that
they prescribed for me.
So basically, I let therheumatologist know that I was
going to take a different pathin addressing my arthritis.

(04:19):
So I am looking forward to inJune when I meet with my regular
doctor for my annual.
I'm looking forward to seeingwhat my blood work looks like
and what she thinks of myprogress, given I haven't

(04:40):
followed a single thing thatshe's told me to do.
So that'll be an interestingconversation.
I'm kind of looking forward toit.
So one of the things that waspart of my journey initially was

(05:01):
that there are foods that youknow if you're dealing with
arthritis, you've got toeliminate some things.
You've got to eliminate somethings from your diet that are
just pro-inflammatory.
You know these, these.
You know things with liptins, you know like no tomatoes for me
.
So Italian food I'm Italian andItalian food is pretty much out

(05:24):
, unless it's Italian food thatdoesn't have tomato.
But then you know you'redealing with the other big
culprit, which is wheat.
So dairy also, people you knowgo back and forth about.
I actually think that dairy canbe a very positive healing

(05:47):
aspect, but not the way dairy isproduced currently.
I'm a very big fan of raw milkproducts and that's one of the
reasons why I'm thrilled aboutRFK Jr coming in and making some

(06:08):
pretty dramatic changes interms of our health care.
And just a sidebar about that, about our food.
You know, like our food andhealth, our food and health I'm
I'm absolutely thrilled becauseone of the things and this is a
sidebar and I'll get to thefoods that I eliminated and what

(06:32):
I'm doing about it in a secondbut one of the things that has
been clear and is clear topeople who endeavor to start
start making changes like, oh, Iwant to get healthier, or I've
got this condition that I wantto address in a natural way, and
they start making changes.
Or maybe I want to lose weightor I want to, whatever it is, I
want to get healthier.

(06:53):
So people start making thosechanges, they start eliminating
things, they start adding things, they start taking supplements,
they start doing all this stuff.
And when you start going downthat path and you start doing
research and you start exploringthings.
Oftentimes what people willfind is that if you are serious

(07:16):
about getting healthy, the wholesystem is set up like one big
minefield.
System is set up like one bigminefield.
It is very, very challenging tolive a healthy life in America

(07:36):
circa 2024.
And that has been true for awhile.
So we do not have healthy air,we do not have healthy water, we
do not have healthy foods, wehave lots of poisons in our
foods, our medicines are toxic.
So everywhere you turn andalmost every decision that you

(08:01):
make regarding your health, there might be like a little
minefield there, like, oh, Iwant to drink this healthy drink
.
And then you look more closelyat the label or you do some
research and you're like well, gee, this isn't really healthy
at all.
I want to eat more vegetables.
And then you find out, you know, you discover there are things

(08:23):
like and then you find out, youknow, you discover there are
things like what is that?
That Bill Gates product peel orsomething that gets sprayed on

(08:49):
a lot more vegetables?
Many like if they're notorganic, they've been sprayed
with horrible pesticides orthey've got that awful coat of
plastic that Bill Gates came upwith, or they've been grown in
soil that's dead.
So one of the things that we'rediscovering is that the soil

(09:10):
that much of our food is grownin is dead, and it's been dead
for a while.
So you grow vegetables in soilthat's dead.
You're not getting thenutrients that you think you
should be getting because thevegetables were grown in dead
soil, so our plants aren'tgetting the nutrients they need,

(09:34):
which means that that transfersto us.
So it is layer upon layer uponlayer of toxicity in our
environment.
So when you endeavor down thispath to live a healthier life,
one of the biggest things youdiscover is how hard that is.

(09:59):
Our culture is not set up forus to live healthy lives at all.
Like around every corner, Imean like, and so some of these
things might seem pretty obvious.
You know, like, well, liquorstore around every corner and
you know those kinds of things.

(10:19):
You know liquor is poison, nicotine is poison and sugar is
poison.
Nicotine is poison and sugar ispoison.
And look at how much of ourfood has sugar or high fructose
corn syrup.
Look at how much of our foodhas artificial preservatives
that turn out to be carcinogens, and so when you really start

(10:46):
taking that, your health journey, seriously, you realize first
of all that it's very expensive, that you it's really set up to
be kind of out of reach, youknow to.
You know for ordinary people tolive healthier and healthier
lives, and so, like I said, there are layers and layers of

(11:12):
minefields as we go.
And you know, I don't care ifthis sounds like I'm a
conspiracy theorist, but this isreally by design and you know,
nowhere is that more evidentthan when you look at our life
expectancy.
Our life expectancy has gonedown.
It's the lowest.
If you take the 20 topindustrialized countries in the

(11:38):
world, the United States has thelowest life expectancy.
Those other countries, theirlife expectancy has been rising,
ours has been falling.
How is that?
We're the richest country inthe world, we spend the most on
healthcare and yet we're theunhealthiest.

(11:59):
So clearly things are set up.
So clearly things are set up askind of keeping us sick so that
we can support a medicalindustry that makes money on our

(12:20):
disease, not on keeping ushealthy.
If you are just beginning yourjourney in trying to live a
longer life, a more vibrant life, a healthier life mind, body,
spirit you have to almostapproach it like a warrior

(12:53):
no-transcript, because it is notset up to support you at this
point.
Now I'm hopeful that maybe RFKennedy Jr will make some
dramatic changes and we will seesome sweeping changes in our
food, our drugs, our water, etc.
That will really support thehealth of our nation.

(13:18):
But right now we are a very, very unhealthy nation.
So, that being said, I have justto get back to the foods.
At the beginning, there arefoods and you discover, like,
whatever it is you're dealingwith, there are certain foods
that you should avoid.
So you know, wheat wasdefinitely one of them, and

(13:42):
tomatoes.
So you know I'm Italian, soit's like okay, no pasta for me.
You know, and I kind ofaccepted that, though I am, you
know, I do love bread and I wasmissing bread and I was also
missing dairy.
So I decided to take mattersinto my own hands and I
purchased a home mill so I couldmill my own wheat berries and I

(14:11):
learned how to make sourdoughbread and other things, but
mostly sourdough bread, and Iuse Angkorne wheat berries,
organic Angkorne Now.
Angkorne, that's E-I-N-K-O-R-Nis an ancient grain and it is
the version of wheat that hasnot been hybridized, so there

(14:36):
have been no changes made tothis over the thousands of years
.
So basically, the end corn thatyou mill and make bread with
today is the same as it wasthousands of years ago for
people who used it to make breadthen.
And so what you find, what Ifind, because I'm using that

(14:58):
berry, I'm milling my own, sothere's no you know, there's no
exposure to other things becauseI mill my own and I'm using,
I'm going through the sourdoughprocess that the combination of

(15:20):
using this wheat berry andmaking sourdough bread as
opposed to other like a yeastbread, has been something that
has been body-friendly for me.
The only thing is I have tojust be careful how much I eat,
because I really, really love it, but that's another issue.

(15:42):
So I rediscovered bread, but Idecided to go that way that I
was going to mill my own flourfor my bread, that I was going
to use 100% organic and cornwheat berries, use 100% organic
and corn wheat berries, and thenI was going to learn how to
make sourdough bread.

(16:03):
And so I have, and that's beenpart of my process and it's been
.
It's been wonderful.
Now, another thing that I missedwas dairy, so I wasn't eating
any dairy and it's like I wantto go back to eating some cheese
, and so what I began to do?
I looked for some local farmswhere I could get raw milk and I

(16:30):
began to make a little weeklyyou know out on the weekend,
going out and getting my rawmilk.
I started off with raw cow'smilk and I switched.
I discovered a goat farm anddecided that I was going to
switch over and do all raw goatmilk.

(16:51):
And that's been lovely, becausepart of my adventure is I get
to go out and I've gotten toknow the farmers on this farm.
You know this small goat farmand of course I've met the goats
and I get to talk to the goats, you know, pet the goats, and
that it's a lovely overall.

(17:13):
It's a lovely experience.
And what I'm doing with the goatmilk every week is that I make
goat cheddar and so I justlearned how to make cheddar and
so I'm making goat cheddar andof course you know it takes
months to be able to enjoy yourcheddar.

(17:37):
So that has been a wonderfullearning, that's been an
educational process for me thatI've really, really enjoyed.
And in addition to the cheddar,I also make regular goat cheese
, the softer rolled goat cheese, and that I can enjoy right away
.
So I have shifted that up sothat I can enjoy A couple of the

(18:03):
things that I missed, that Iliked I missed, but I needed to
approach it very differently.
So the less I buy from thestore and make myself, the
better, and I think that's truefor a lot of foods.
So I am, like I said, enteringthe six month of my process here

(18:35):
and so much of it has had to dowith detoxing and I think that
people underestimate how much weneed to detox.
You look at yourself.
It's like I look pretty good.
Or maybe you go to the gym andyou've got some muscles and
you're like I'm fit, I'm good,but we don't realize how toxic

(18:56):
we are.
We don't realize how manytoxins we've taken in to our
bodies just by breathing ordrinking water or eating regular
food that we think is healthybut may not be One of the
biggest issues in my opinion.

(19:17):
There are a couple Biggestissues in my opinion.
There are a couple and I'll getinto the other one.
One of the biggest issues isheavy metals.
We have far more heavy metalsin our bodies than we think Now.
Some of those heavy metals havegotten there through vaccines,

(19:37):
but we breathe in heavy metals.
Heavy metals have gotten therethrough vaccines, but we breathe
in heavy metals.
Some of the heavy metals comefrom all kinds of things in our
environment and in our foods andin our water and we just are
unaware.
And so in these heavy metalsreally have a disruptive impact

(19:58):
on our microbiome.
So more and more doctors aresaying it's all about your
microbiome, it's all about yourgut.
If you want to heal anything inyour body, you've got to heal
your gut, and this is true.
So then people start, you know, they start eating the yogurt,
they start doing these things, they start taking supplements

(20:20):
and all of that, which iswonderful.
Problem is is that if you haveheavy metals in your body,
chances are they're going to bein your gut, but they'll be all
over too.
They'll be in your brain.
You know causes brain fog,whatever.
Then no matter what you do,it's not really going to have an

(20:42):
impact because those heavymetals are running interference.
So the things that you're doing, you think you're doing this
really, really great job and youdon't realize how much you have
heavy metals in your system andhow much that's affecting or
really interfering with andblocking some of your greatest

(21:05):
efforts to get healthy.
Because heavy metals, when theyare present, it's very
difficult for your gut torebalance, for the bacteria to
rebalance.
For your gut to rebalance, forthe bacteria to rebalance,

(21:26):
you've got to detox the heavymetal before you start really
seeing a difference.
And so I take a popular heavymetal.
Detox is zeolite.
So I take that and I've learnedthat once you start taking
zeolite you think okay, well,I've been doing it.
For a taking zeolite, you thinkokay, well, you know I'm doing,
you know I've been doing it fora couple months.

(21:46):
This should be good, because weare so we are kind of
continually exposed to heavymetals.
I would just keep doing it.
I'm not stopping Like, I'm justgoing to keep doing it.
I'm not going to say, oh, I'lldo it for a couple months and
that should take care of myheavy metal issue.
No, I mean, it may have helped, but we just continue to be

(22:07):
exposed.
And so doing something as partof a daily routine to ward off
heavy metals, to eliminate heavymetals and to really minimize
heavy metals in your system is,unfortunately at this point, a
necessary ongoing thing to do,just for health maintenance.

(22:28):
So again, zeolite and you cando your research, but it's just,
we just have to continue todetox heavy metals in our bodies
.
I heard recently that it'spretty bad in the United States,
but it's worse in Canada.
For some reason, canadians havea bigger problem with heavy

(22:53):
metals than those of us in theUnited States.
I'm not sure what that's allabout, but generally we tend to
be loaded with heavy metals, sothat would be one of the the
kind of like the first thingsyou know, just detox, do, do
what you can to detox heavymetals.
I think one of the things andI've mentioned this before one

(23:18):
of the things that is present inall of us and our doctors don't
like to admit it.
My doctor even said, oh, that'san internet fad when I told her
that I wanted to addressparasites.
We all have parasites and whatthey are discovering and what we

(23:40):
are going to discover is verycontroversial is that more and
more, we see that a lot ofdiseases, even cancer, some
forms of cancer, could berelated to parasites.
Some forms of cancer could berelated to parasites.
So if you're hearing that forthe first time, do some research

(24:03):
, because we're, I think that weare on the edges of discovering
some jaw dropping information, some research that's been done
in other countries where theyhave made this connection, uh,
between things like cancer andparasites.

(24:24):
So when we think of parasites,we think of, like, those really
awful things that we've readabout and heard about in like in
like south sudan, you know, andyou know, and you know where
they have terrible drinkingwater and they have the most

(24:47):
horrendous parasite conditions.
That's those.
Those are one set of parasites,um, but uh, and those are, you
know, those would be like, youknow, kind of the worst, but, um
, we get exposed to parasites inall kinds of ways and, uh, you

(25:09):
know so, because we don't have,uh, you know those kinds, you
know, parasites kind of crawlingout of our ankles and all of
that kind of crazy stuff ormaking us go blind, you know
cause it, you know what theycall river blindness.
Okay, so we don't, we might nothave that in our country.
It doesn't mean that we don'thave a parasite problem.
So, doing regular parasitecleanses really, really

(25:35):
important, and what we're goingto find out, I predict, is that
in the coming months, in thecoming year or two, we are going
to discover that there's goingto be a lot of things that come
to the surface and hit themainstream about how much.
Parasites have been an issue, continue to be an issue, and we

(25:57):
need to address our parasiteissues if we're going to get
ourselves healthy.
Again, parasites interfere, just like heavy metals.
They interfere with our abilityto kind of uptake any of those
wonderful nutrients that you'retrying to take in to get healthy
.
If we're loaded with parasites, then our body has a difficult

(26:22):
time getting access to thosethings that chances are we're
spending an awful lot of moneyon.
We're spending a lot of moneyon our supplements and on all
these changes that we're making, but if we're loaded with
parasites and on all thesechanges that we're making, but
if we're loaded with parasites, our efforts will fall flat.
So, getting rid of heavy metalsand doing parasite cleanses

(26:47):
really really important and, again, ongoing heavy metal stuff
, just keep it, because we'recontinually exposed.
And with parasites, what makesparasites so such a challenge is
that you have mother parasitesthat you know lay like hundreds
of thousands of eggs a day orwhatever, and those eggs lay

(27:11):
dormant until the mother diesand then there's a I don't know
if it's a lack of a hormone orrelease of a hormone and then
they hatch, and so I know thisis really gross, but when you do
a parasite cleanse.
It's not a one and donesituation.

(27:32):
You literally have to doregular parasite cleanses so
that you can, you know, get ridof whatever might be laying eggs
and then get rid of the eggs.
It's an ongoing process.
So I'm entering the sixth monthof my journey and I've done

(27:55):
four parasite cleanses so far.
I just, you know, just kind ofregular, in between certain
detoxes, I'll do a parasitecleanse, just to stay on top of
that, on top of that.

(28:24):
So those are two things I thinkthat people underestimate, and
I'm mentioning it because thereare a lot of people who are
waking up to the need to takeour health into our own hands
and start making some changes.
So, again, you can start makingthose changes, and you can.
You know, your efforts can bevaliant, but if you haven't
detoxed, or if you're not kindof continuously detoxing heavy

(28:47):
metals and parasites in yoursystem, then your, your efforts
will fall flat.
But you know, you'll wonder why?
Why aren't things gettingbetter?
So this is what I've discovered, and I think it's just really
valuable.
Now, how I'm doing is mycondition is getting better, so

(29:10):
my hands are.
They do not have the swellingthat they had before.
I'm still, you know, not ableto make a full fist in my hands,
but I don't have the pain andthe swelling in my hands that I
did before, so I do feel that mycondition is receding.

(29:32):
One of the things that peoplestruggle with and one of the
things that people struggle withand again this is one of those
minefields is we have beenculturized to expect that when
we start taking something thatwill bring us in a particular

(29:56):
direction for health, that weshould see pretty immediate
results.
And the thing is is that whenwe I know that this is a minimum
one year endeavor for me andI'm entering the six month.
One year endeavor for me andI'm entering the six month.

(30:21):
So have I seen progress?
Yes, I have.
Do I have a ways to go?
Oh, yes, I do.
Oh, yes, I do.
So I think that the mindset, oneof the things, one of the
challenges, is changing ourmindset about these things.
These things take time.
You know these conditions.
If you discover, oh, I havethis condition or that condition

(30:43):
and I want to deal with it withfood and with supplements and
with all of this.
You know all these natural waysyour body has gotten into that
condition, sometimes over thecourse of decades, into that
condition over, sometimes overthe course of decades.
And so to undo it is going totake a lot of effort.
A lot of effort, a lot ofpatience, a lot of perseverance

(31:08):
and a certain level ofdedication and discipline is
required to do this, whichreally flies in the face of how
we've been taught to think aboutit.
Oh, you're having a problem,take this pill, you'll feel
better.

(31:28):
Or, oh, you need to lose weight, just inject yourself with
Ozempic and you'll lose weightlike crazy.
But we see what's happeningwith that.
So when you're addressingsomething, naturally you have to
kind of adjust your mindset andit'll come up.
You know those moments, evenfor me, those moments of

(31:52):
frustration, and I'm like that'sjust.
You know, that's just my oldthinking.
I can't think about thisprocess in that way.
You know, I have to be morepatient and more loving of the
process, and so it is anopportunity to kind of ease into
it and practice self-care in avery different way.

(32:14):
Because even when it comes toself-care, people will often
it's like people will associateinstant gratification with
self-care too.
And the thing is is a lot ofself-care takes a while and you
really have to be patient.

(32:35):
And that patience and thatperseverance and that discipline
is really all part of theself-care and the self-love.
Do we really care aboutourselves enough to be patient
in the process, to be gentle inthe process, to be disciplined
and to persevere in the process,or are we going to treat

(33:00):
ourselves like we would amisbehaved child that we've
grown impatient with?
We have to change our mindset.
So these are some of the thingsthat I discovered along the way.
So my journey is going well.
It is, again, not for the faintof heart.

(33:21):
It does require a lot of effort, perseverance, discipline, but
it is certainly worth it if youstick to it.
And you know we discover thingsalong the way.
And you know we discover thingsalong the way like.
This journey kind of got me todiscover the joys of making

(33:44):
sourdough bread and making myown cheeses, and how wonderful
is that that I made thisdiscovery.
I had no idea when I wasbeginning this that I was going
to discover these things.
So you will discover thingsalong the way, and there's more

(34:06):
to say about that, but I thinkI've prattled on enough for
today.
So, all in all, it isencouraging.
I encourage you to keep goingin your journey and remember
that self-care often looks likepatience and perseverance and

(34:31):
discipline, and discipline, andso I hope my journey inspires or
encourages yours as well, andI'll be back in another month or
so to give you another update.
I hope you guys enjoy yourholidays, ciao.
