episode of Can I Heal myRheumatoid Arthritis Naturally?
This is Patti with Patti TalksToo Much and these videos are
for the purpose of sharing mypersonal journey and experience

with attempting to cure, to healmy rheumatoid arthritis
naturally, without anymedication.
So just a little background Now.
The last time it's been a whilesince I did one of these and
you know there are severalreasons for that.
But let me just jump into alittle background.

So I am a 65 year old woman whoenjoyed and was blessed with a
very, very healthy life.
For just about all my life Ididn't even keep aspirin in the
house because I never gotheadaches or backaches or any

kind of ache.
So I enjoyed life really with apain-free body and very good,
robust health.
I stayed active and, you know,enjoyed that kind of life, so
very, very blessed, up until Ibelieve I was just 63, had a
(01:38):
hairline fracture in my rightankle and then later found out
it had to do with a tornligament.
So in the process of healingthat, other conditions began to
emerge.
I started getting swelling onknuckles on my right hand.

That kind of persisted and thenkind of migrated over to the
other hand, and this is kind ofover the course of a year, and
because I relocated, I had towait till, you know, I had a
doctor here in North Georgia andfinally got some of the testing
(02:23):
that I needed to get done inorder to get to the bottom of
what was going on in my body,and so I've recently been able
to kind of nail it down.
So I have a bit ofosteoarthritis as well as
rheumatoid arthritis in my handsand elbows and shoulders, and I
(02:50):
decided, because I have neverhad to be on medication, that I
was going to address thiswithout having to get onto some
of those arthritis medicationswhere, if you do the research,
you find that these are somepretty heavy duty medications
and what happens is they doaddress the symptoms but
(03:14):
unfortunately they have adegenerative effect on the
actual condition.
So, for instance, they canrelieve you of the pain and the
swelling in your joints but atthe same time your joints and
the bone around them aredegenerating, so the actual
(03:35):
condition may worsen while yoursymptoms are relieved, and that
wasn't.
That's not okay for me.
That's I don't.
I don't like that.
So I decided that I was goingto explore alternative
approaches to healing myrheumatoid arthritis.

So I did some research.
Now what I'll tell you is thatwhat I found out was that two
thirds of the people who getrheumatoid arthritis are women.
So it's mostly women who getrheumatoid arthritis for some
reason, and it's very, verycommon for women in their 60s to

just develop rheumatoidarthritis.
So I am part of a growing group, a demographic, that has
developed rheumatoid arthritis.
And the thing is it has been amystery for me, because I was so

or what.
I thought I was so healthy forall of those years, all those
decades, and then to getsomething that looks like an
autoimmune condition seemed itdidn't make a whole lot of sense
.
Now I will tell you that.
You know, some people watchingthis might say well, are you,

did you get vaccinated?
And I did not.
So, and that's kind ofconsistent with my attitude
about things I'm very much intonatural immunity and that's how
I have always approached my, youknow, dealing with the cold and
flu season or really anythingelse, is that natural immunity
(05:23):
is really the best, and sothroughout the pandemic, I made
sure that I took plenty ofvitamin C and vitamin D.
At the time I was living inFlorida.
Now the thing is is I am ateacher and so teachers are
exposed to an awful lot in ourschools and in our classrooms,
(05:44):
and so it was inevitable that Iwas probably going to get COVID.
I also had done some researchon it's very interesting
research about the whole who wasmore susceptible to getting
COVID and who is not.
And apparently people with Opositive I think, o positive,
(06:09):
maybe O positive and negativeblood were the least likely to
get COVID for some reason.
Now I was in the category ofmost likely because I may be
negative my blood type is ABnegative but there was a whole
it was an interesting researchthat was being done with like is
there, you know?
So there's a correlation, makeof it what you will.

But so I just kind of looked atit that I was inevitably going
to get it and I did, and Itreated my COVID with ivermectin
and other things, but it wasn't.
You know, I had like the firstround of COVID as it came

through that first year.
Now you know some people mightsay, well, you know, maybe that
may have some kind ofrelationship to your development
of this autoimmune condition.
I don't know.
One thing that I will tell youis that you know, these kinds of
things don't seem to beresearched, and I do think that

there needs to be more researchdone because there certainly
does seem to be an increase inthese kinds of things.
I feel very fortunate that Iwas not vaccinated, because I
think that some of the thingsthat are happening to those who
took that vaccine medicalintervention are tragic, tragic
(07:43):
and unfortunate, and so I'm gladthat I kind of went the route
that I went.
So, but anyway, getting back tomy rheumatoid arthritis
condition, so I decided I wasgoing to do some research and I
came upon a woman her name isSusan Blum A woman, her name is
Susan Blum and she is afunctional doctor out of
(08:09):
Connecticut and she wrote a bookcalled Healing arthritic
condition that she addressed,and I think it began with
(08:30):
wanting to help her mother atthe time, and she began to treat
her mother with a certainprotocol that had to do with
nutrition, like a nutritionalintervention.
Her nutritional intervention ispretty serious and so you really
(08:54):
have to have a fair amount ofwillpower if you are going to
follow this.
So she really cleans up thediet and this is, you know, it
goes in certain phases in herprotocol in which she is
cleaning up the gut and so,first it's the elimination.
(09:18):
So we're talking abouteliminating all white flour,
sugar gone, alcohol gone, andeven red meat I like red meat.
So that was probably thetoughest for me, believe it or
not, even though I'm Italian.
And you think, what about thatpasta?
I was kind of okay with thatbecause I tend to stay away from
(09:40):
it anyway, just to kind of keepmy weight in check.
So that was the initial phaseof that protocol.
And then, you know, a month onoil of oregano and berberine,
and then, you know, waiting shehas these products that she
(10:05):
recommends and I am currentlytaking the shake every morning
which is full of amino acids andvitamins and things that
promote, um, anti-inflammation.
So, um, I've been followingthat for a while Now.

I have not seen a decrease inthe condition in my hands as
I've been on this protocol.
But the thing about followingnatural remedies is that you
have to accept that anythingthat you're going to do
(10:49):
naturally is going to take awhile.
So she said it would take abouta year using this approach.
And you know, and I believethat, so I am using, I'm still
going by her protocol.
But what's happened since mylast video is that I've been
introduced to another woman,another naturopath, that also
(11:13):
cured her own rheumatoidarthritis, but she did it
through a series of cleanses.
So what I've decided to do iscombine these approaches.
So I'm following Susan Blum'sprotocol, which involves an
elimination diet as well astaking certain supplements to
(11:37):
support gut health.
Now there is a bit of an overlapbetween these two practitioners
and so and I'll get into thatbut the second practitioner is
Penny Kelly.
Now Penny Kelly has alsowritten a book and it is getting
well, naturally, from the soilto the stomach.
(11:59):
Okay, so both of thesepractitioners have a wealth of
experience in addressingsuccessfully addressing
different forms of arthritisthrough their protocols.
So Penny Kelly promotes aseries of cleanses, beginning
(12:23):
with a parasite cleanse and thengoing to a liver flush and then
a colon cleanse and then aphase which she calls the purge,
which is really just eating rawvegetables for a period of time
, a period of time and then,lastly, doing a castor oil,
(12:52):
olive oil bath.
That, you know, is later ondown the road.
The parasite cleanse issomething that there are people
who follow this protocol.
They do two or three times ayear and I plan on doing that as
well.
Here's the interesting thingabout parasites.
When I heard this I thoughtthis is really interesting.
I think you know, and I haveheard, there are a lot of

conditions that we have that arerelated to parasites.
Now this is kind ofcontroversial and I'll share a
story.
When I went to my regularprimary care physician and I
shared with her that I was goingto try this protocol put out by
Penny Kelly, you know anaturopath who had cured her or
(13:37):
certainly healed her rheumatoidarthritis by doing this series
of cleanses, when I mentioned aparasite cleanse, my doctor
actually got a little upset andimmediately said this is just
some social media fad.
So she understands people kindof discovering these parasite
(14:03):
cleanse as a social media fad,in that parasites we don't have
to be concerned about parasitesin the West because we have
clean water, because we're inthe West and you know.
So parasites are something youknow like if you live in
Southern Sudan to worry aboutparasites, but if you live in
the, you know, in the civilizedWest, you know, with clean
(14:26):
drinking water, you don't haveto worry about parasites.
And I was a little stunned byhow adamant she was about this,
and so I just listened to her.
It was okay it was.
You know she's entitled to heropinion as far as I'm concerned,
and she has her reasons for it,though that didn't really deter
(14:49):
me from wanting to follow thisprotocol along with Susan Blum's
nutritional protocol.
So I'm combining bothapproaches Susan Blum's protocol
in terms of really reallycleaning up the diet, in terms
of really really cleaning up thediet using particular
(15:10):
supplements to boost gut health.
Susan Blum also acknowledgesthat parasites can be an issue,
though she doesn't emphasize itas much as Penny Kelly.
Penny Kelly, right out the gate, says the very first thing you
(15:32):
should do is a parasite cleanse.
So she maintains that when youdo parasite cleanse, you know a
liver flush and the coloncleanse.
That really what you're doingis you are cleaning up your body
.
So whatever nutrients you'reputting into your body you are
able to utilize optimally.
And all of that makes a lot ofsense to me.

If we have blockages, if ourliver is overwhelmed, if our
colon is all clogged up, if wehave parasites, then no matter
how healthy we might be eating,no matter how many supplements
we might be taking, how much ofthat nutrition is really being
(16:15):
absorbed in our body.
So the whole thing aboutcleansing really made a lot of
sense to me, and it also makes alot of sense to do this
protocol where I am doing thesecleanses and at the same time,
taking in these extremelynutritionally dense kinds of
(16:39):
products, like the shake that isrecommended by Susan Blum and
her protocol, doing that all atthe same time so that I'm
getting the optimal nutrientsand amino acids and enzymes that
I need to fortify my body.
I will tell you that I have juststarted my parasite cleanse and
(17:00):
it will go on for about 21 days, and it is a cleanse that you
know involves just one product.
It's called Paradex, and youcan get it through Progressive
Labs, and so we'll see how thisproduct works.
There's also another parasitecleanse, very, very excellent
(17:24):
parasite cleanse, put out by DrClark, which involves three,
three components to it, andthere that is a I believe that's
an 18 day parasite cleanse, soI may switch up and do that
later on, but at any rate, thatis kind of where I'm at right
(17:46):
now in terms of my naturalapproach to healing my
rheumatoid arthritis.
I've decided that I'm going tocombine these two protocols for
maximum effect, and I also knowthat this is going to take a
(18:07):
year.
So Penny Kelly was very clear.
She said you do these and it'lltake about a year to heal your
rheumatoid arthritis.
And Susan Blum said the samething it's going to take about a
year.
So I figure I'm in it for thelong haul for both of these, for
utilizing both of these, and soI imagine next summer I will be
(18:29):
feeling quite different when itcomes to my rheumatoid
arthritis condition.
So I may do a recording when myparasite cleanse has finished
so I can share that.
I've been kind of nervous aboutdoing it because nobody wants to
(18:50):
see what comes out of you whenyou do a parasite cleanse.
Nobody wants to have to facethat reality, that unpleasant,
uncomfortable, engrossed realitythat, wow, this has been living
inside me, this has been livinginside me, sapping my energy
and my nutrients.
(19:10):
Nobody really wants to, wantsto face that.
So I'm kind of glad to be doingthe parasite cleanse first to
get it out of the way before Imove on to the other.
So I'll probably do anothervideo after the parasite cleanse
so that I can share what thatexperience is like.
I will tell you that theparasite cleanse is coupled with
(19:34):
coffee enemas, which areextremely valuable when doing
the cleanse, and the purpose ofa coffee enema is to really
relieve the liver.
So as you're doing a cleanse,there are all these toxins that
are emptying out into yourbloodstream and and your liver's
doing its best to deal with allof these toxins.

But if you, if you have like adie off, if you have a parasite
die off or a candida die off, oryou know a die off of you know
bacteria and things like that inyour in your system that have
been there for a while andliving there and proliferating
for a while, it could beoverwhelming for your liver.
So coffee enemas as you goalong relieve the liver of being

overwhelmed by the toxins andthe die-offs that it's trying to
filter.
So most people think thatthat's a very unpleasant part of
the cleanse, but again, it's animportant part of the cleanse
and I think that if you aregoing to do a protocol like this

and you're going to do acleanse, you'll probably be very
, very uncomfortable if youdon't do coffee enemas along the
way to give your liver somerelief.
So that is what I'm doing alongthe way and and you just get

used to it, it just becomes partof your part of your routine.
You know it's just part of yourroutine.
So that's it for my update onhealing my arthritis, naturally.
So it is not just a process ofhealing my gut.
It is now incorporating theprocess of going through

different cleanses for my gut,for my liver, for my colon, and
we're going to see what happensin the end.
So I'll get back to you inabout 21 days when I am finished
with this parasite cleanse and,yeah, I'll share how it's going

along the way and then I'll doone after the liver cleanse and
one after the colon cleanse andso forth, and I'll give you I'll
update you on my progress Atany rate.

valuable approaches and aren'tjust about arthritis.
Penny Kelly's work actually isvery, very helpful, for instance
, for people who are dealingwith chemotherapy and what you

know the effects of chemotherapy.
So if you are someone who hashad to go through treatments
like that or you're dealing withother health issues, you know
it's worth checking these booksout, checking the work of these
two naturopaths and seeing ifyou would like to handle it in a
(23:21):
way that's more natural and notnecessarily aligned with
Western medicine, which is justpharmaceutical based and often
it really is, and I don't haveto tell you it really is.
When it comes to pharmaceuticalapproaches, it's about handling
the symptoms but not necessarilyhealing the condition.

So if you're interested inhealing your, your condition, if
you're interested in reallygetting at the root of things
and healing and you're willingto put the time and the effort
in, then I I strongly recommendyou checking out the work of
these two women.
