In this week's episode we are joined by Historian of gender, sexuality and empire, Jessica Hinchy, who will be talking about her book Governing Gender and Sexuality in Colonial India: The Hijra, C. 1850-1900. Jessica takes us on a journey in discovering the stories behind these eunuch and transgender people who played a significant role in their communities and we look at how they went from surviving complete eradication to speaking into the global transgender debates today.
