Happy New Year! In this episode, Mark and Pat get ready for the next round of the College Football Playoffs and also take a look at the end of the NFL regular season. After a bit of a lopsided first round, the college football universe is hoping for a more competitive second round, and this slate of games looks like it will not disappoint. Boise St. and Arizona St. both make their case to be in the playoffs as underdogs as Oregon, Ohio State, Texas, and Georgia look to have a full-on clash with the Titans. In the NFL, the playoffs are all but set. With the last week of the regular season coming up, there are only a few games with ramifications. The Bengals are playing for their playoff lives as the Steelers and Ravens try to win their division. The Vikings and Lions play for the top spot in the NFC as the Chiefs hold claim to the top of the AFC mountain. It looks to be another great week inside the Football Avalanche.
