In this episode, get a glimpse of what it feels like to be a songwriter who gets the call of a lifetime. In this case, Victoria Banks received an email from Garth Brooks, which led to him recording her song, "Midnight at a Red Light." Unfortunately, the song still hasn't been released. But it's a great story!

About Victoria Banks:
Labeled as “one of the best songwriters in the business” by Nashville’s MusicRow magazine, Victoria Banks has been nominated for 11 Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) Awards and was named CCMA Female Artist of the Year and Songwriter of the Year in 2010. Most recently, Victoria co-wrote 3 songs on the ground-breaking 2020 EP Bridges by the Grammy-nominated Mickey Guyton, including “What Are You Gonna Tell Her” (which made history as the first original song performed by a Black woman on the ACM Awards). She appeared on NBC's songwriting competition series, Songland. And, her songs have been recorded by over 100 artists. If you know the names Mickey Guyton, Sara Evans, Jessica Simpson, Carly Pearce, Lauren Alaina, Cassadee Pope, The Shires, or have watched shows like Nashville, American Idol, or Dancing With the Stars, you have likely heard one or more of her songs.
