In this episode of Pelham Place, a quick nugget of wisdom from the late, great Dr. John through my good friends Whistle Monsta (aka Leroy Mitchell) and Jamie Bernstein during a planning call for their upcoming Only Good Vibes News Network project.

This is an impromptu piece of advice that my friend Jamie Bernstein shares at the end of a weekly planning call that I’m a part of with him and my good friend, Leroy Mitchell aka Whistle Monsta. Anyone from New Orleans, or familiar with the New Orleans Saints, knows who Whistle Monster is. And, Jamie is a phenomenal musician who you can find on all the usual music platforms and I think even touring up to the Northeast in the coming weeks. Whistle and JB recently hosted a local radio show in New Orleans called Only Good Vibes News Network. And, I have the privilege to be part of the team in helping them to reimagine that show. Our weekly planning calls are usually pretty technical, just putting all the pieces together, but we also get a chance to catch up on a personal level, share some wisdom, and just kind of blow off some steam. So, to give you the backstory. Whistle asked JB a simple question, and JB answered with a piece of advice that he got from the New Orleans doctor himself, Dr. John.
