(01:09):
while you're at the Disney parks.
In today's episode, we're goingto break down the two types of
Lightning Lane options, how tobook them, and also share some
tips on maximizing your time.
So let's get started.
So, first of all, I think youneed to understand exactly what
Lightning Lane is.
And Lightning Lane is Disney'ssystem for helping you really
skip that regular standby linefor certain popular attractions.
(01:29):
It's really similar to that oldFastPass system, but now it's a
lot more flexible and it savesyou time while you're in the
parks.
So with Lightning Lane, there'sreally two different options.
You have individual LightningLane selections that are for the
popular selections, and thenyou also have Lightning Lane
Multippass, which are for otherselected rides.
Now, keep in mind, you canpre-book Lightning Lane access
(01:52):
for up to three attractions perday, or you can purchase the
individual Lightning Lane passesfor the high demand rides.
So let's talk about how itworks.
Once you arrive at a park, you're either going to pre-book
Lightning Lane access for up tothree rides with the Lightning
Lane multi-pass, or you're goingto purchase individual passes
for some of those popular rides, and this is really how you can
take advantage of this.
(02:12):
So with the multi-pass, you canpre-book up to three
attractions per day, sotypically one from Tier 1, which
is going to be your mostpopular ride, and then two from
Tier 2.
I also have these all listedout at the
magicvacationfamilycom websiteand it's broken down by park,
which tier which rides fall into.
So if you ever want to look atit, make sure you go and visit
(02:32):
us at magicvacationfamilycom.
Now for individual lightninglane, you can buy passes for
those high demand rides, like Italked about earlier.
So, like Star Wars, rise ofResistance, avatar, flight of
Passage, you can usually skipthose standby lines, but it is
going to cost you a little bitextra.
But once you've made yourreservation, all you have to
(02:53):
really do is head to theattraction at the designated
time and you can bypass the line.
So it's kind of like walking inVIP right and enjoy the ride.
So now let's talk aboutLightning Lane multi-pass versus
individual passes, and what arethe true differences between
those right?
So Lightning Lane multi-passallows you to pre-book up to
three rides per day.
Now you could actually bookthese up to seven days in
advance if you're staying at aDisney resort, or three days in
(03:16):
advance for everyone else.
That means if you're staying onproperty somewhere else, you
can book those up to three daysin advance, but when you're
staying on Disney property, youget that extra bonus of a few
days to get those added there.
Now, for the multi-pass, itcould range anywhere from $15 to
$27 per person per day.
So you're traveling with afamily of four, let's just say
it's at 25 bucks.
It's going to cost you anadditional $100 a day to be able
(03:40):
to get to those types of rideshere.
So the earlier you startbooking, the better off chances
you have for, like those highdemand rides like Seven Dwarfs,
mine Train or Space Mountain atMagic Kingdom.
If you look at individualLightning Lane passes, though,
these are going to be for themost popular rides, like I
talked about before Rise of theResistance, frozen Ever After,
once again, avatar, flight ofPassage.
(04:00):
Now you pay individually forthese rides.
So, instead of like the $15 to$27 per day of where you can
utilize the multi-pass, this isjust for one ride and this can
average anywhere between $9 to$27.
So, really, how much does itmatter to you to go on that ride
?
Now I would say, for example, star Wars Rise of the Resistance
(04:20):
.
I highly recommend it.
I pay for that ride nearlyevery time I go, but you can buy
two individual Lightning Lanepasses per day, per person.
So make sure you plan wisely, all right.
So where do you really want togo?
So if you're going to spend allday at one park, you're usually
going to be fine, but if you'regoing to start doing park
hopping, that's where you'regoing to be a little bit more
strategic about which individualLightning Lane passes you're
(04:44):
going to be purchasing.
So now let's break it down bypark.
Here's a list of the rides, including Lightning Lane,
divided by the multi-pass andindividual Lightning Lane
options.
So first off, we have MagicKingdom.
Now you can choose any of tierone, that's right.
So that would be Jungle Cruise, peter Pan's Flight, space
Mountain or Tiana's BayouAdventure, and then you can
(05:04):
choose two experiences from tiertwo or you can do all three
from this group.
That would be the Barnstormer, buzz Lightyear, space Ranger,
Spin Dumbo, the Flying Elephant, haunted Mansion it's a Small
World Mad Tea Party, the MagicCarpets of Aladdin, the Mini
Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, mickey's PhilharMagic, monsters
(05:24):
Inc.
Laugh Floor, pirates of theCaribbean, tomorrowland Speedway
and Under the Sea Journey ofthe Little Mermaid.
And then those single passattractions which are going to
cost you extra will be SevenDwarfs, mine Train and Tron
Light Cycle Run.
Now let's move over to Epcot.
Tier one is going to be FrozenEver After Remy's Ratatouille
(05:45):
Adventure and Soarin' Around theWorld.
Or you can pick two or three ofthe category below in the tier
two.
So if you pick three of these, you can't pick any of tier one,
but you can pick two of thesehere, which would be Disney and
Pixar Short Film Festival.
Journey into Imagination withFigment, living with the Land,
mission Space, the Seas withNemo and Friends, spaceship
(06:09):
Earth and Turtle Talk with Crush.
Now the single line passattraction is going to be
Guardians of the Galaxy, cosmicRewind, which I highly recommend
, but if you do get motionsickness you might want to be a
little weary of it.
So take a look at it, maybewatch some reviews.
I have a video of it on ourmagicvacationfamilycom website.
(06:30):
Now let's take a stroll over toHollywood Studios.
So tier one is going to beMickey and Minnie's Runaway
Railway, millennium Falcon, smuggler's Run Rockin' Roller
Coaster starring Aerosmith andSlinky Dog Dash.
And then our tier two levelones are going to be Alien,
swirling Saucers, beauty and theBeast Live on stage, disney jr
play and dance, which is a blastif you have kiddos, uh, that
(06:52):
really like to dance, especiallybetween that ages of like two
and three, it's fantastic, uh,for the first time in forever, a
frozen sing-along celebration.
Indiana jones epic stunt,spectacular muppet.
Vision 3d star tours theadventure continues.
The twilight Vision 3D StarTours the Adventure Continues.
The Twilight Zone, tower ofTerror and Toy Story Mania.
Also, our single passattractions for this one are
(07:13):
going to be Star Wars, rise ofthe Resistance, which I will
also say again, definitely worthspending the extra money on,
and finally heading over toDisney's Animal Kingdom theme
park.
Now they only have a tier twolevel here and then the single
pass attractions.
So really you can pick any threeof these experiences.
So you could do DinosaurExpedition, everest, the Legend
(07:35):
of the Forbidden MountainFeathered Friends in Flight
Festival of the Lion King, whichis incredible.
It's a big show, so I highlyrecommend that one.
Finding Nemo show.
So I highly recommend that one.
Finding Nemo, the Big Blue andBeyond Tough to Be a Bug, kali
River Rapids, kilimanjaroSafaris and Navi River Journey.
(07:57):
And the only one that's goingto cost you extra on this one is
going to be Avatar Flight ofPassage, which, in my opinion,
is definitely the best immersive4D experience that exists today
.
All right, so now, how do youmaximize your experience?
Let's talk about that.
So highly recommend bookingearly.
Remember, you can book yourlightning lane as early as 7 am
if you're staying on Disneyproperty.
So don't waste any time.
(08:17):
Start booking those rides assoon as possible when that
window opens to get access tothe best available times and to
make the most out of your day.
Also, base your rides onpriority right.
What means the most to you andyour family?
What are you looking the mostforward to riding on?
So, for example, think Piratesof the Caribbean and Haunted
Mansion for the easier rides, orAvatar Flight of Passage for
(08:39):
the high demand attractions.
Then also maximize your timeOnce you have your Lightning
Lane reservations.
Use your time wisely, right?
Don't just spend it going fromone ride to the other and then
standing around.
Utilize that break time betweento get some food, to go do some
shopping, watch some of theshows, be a part of the parade,
et cetera.
Highly recommend making sure youtake as much advantage of that
(09:01):
time as you possibly can.
Also, make sure you downloadthat my Disney Experience app as
well, because it's going tobecome your best friend while
you are on that trip, while youare booking your Lightning Lanes
and also seeing what otheroptions are available order
ahead, dining, making thosedining reservations, etc.
So, now that you understand alittle bit about Lightning Lane,
if you have any questions, youwant help booking those.
(09:23):
