I want you to know it’s okay to experience sadness, but to also find ways to deal with prolonged emotional distress. You see, sometimes our emotions erupt like a can of hot soda. It’s not that your mad about the toilet seat being left up. Instead, your angry because you simply want to be heard. It’s not that your upset that the children won’t go to sleep, it’s that you feel like you want to be in control of how you raise them. You want to be respected. Usually it’s not the last emotion that causes overwhelming emotions. There’s something else underneath the surface that is saying, “Hey, I’m still here. Let’s pay attention to this.” Let’s have a little coaching and encouragement session. I want to motivate you to shift your mindset and emotions. We’ll do an exercise to help move you forward in this area. It’s going to be pretty helpful. So grab your pen, paper or alternate writing tool. You can do this with God. Let’s get started. Help me share this message of hope with others by sharing it with your network. You never know who might need it. Here’s the link to the book I was referring to. It’s called “Don’t give up.” https://awesound.com/faithyedidahspann

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
