What happens when an entrepreneur faces a major setback like a challenging audit? Let me take you through my journey of navigating the rough waters of entrepreneurship, where I share the ups and downs of leading Therapeutic Relations Health Care Services. This episode unpacks the hard lessons learned from an unexpected audit that halted our recruitment and how those experiences have reshaped my approach to leadership and accountability. It's a candid reflection on the grind of not just running a healthcare service, but also my growing passion for real estate investment.

Come along as I explore the leap into real estate, purchasing a two-family home, and the intricacies of becoming a landlord. While the administrative hurdles in healthcare taught valuable lessons, the real estate venture brings its own set of challenges and potential for growth. Through personal anecdotes and motivational strategies, I offer insights into the mindset required to persevere. Whether you're an aspiring entrepreneur or a seasoned business owner, there's something here for you. Connect with me on social media to continue this conversation about the pursuit of success and the relentless hustle that fuels it.

Thee Highest (00:03):
Freedom Speakers, I want to say good morning, good
afternoon, good night, whatevertime of day you may be
listening to this episode.
I want to apologize to you fornot being able to push out as
much content, as I know that Isaid that I would and I should,
but I'm here to explain to youhow busy I've been.

(00:24):
Ok, I'm just getting a lot ofthings managed and situated for
for my business man and forthose that do not know, I am
owner, operator and chiefexecutive officer of Therapeutic
Relations Health Care Services.
You can go look at our websiteat wwwtherapyouticrhscom.

(00:49):
That's therapeuticrhscom.
So we recently had an audit thispast September, year 2024, and
we did not do really well.
We didn't do really well at alland I know minus the fine print

(01:11):
of everything.
I know it falls on the leaders, operators, administrators, most
definitely the owner, to allowthings to get to the point where
we're not sitting so well.
We couldn't hunt fourth quarterlike we would like to and
hunting is a phrase that I useof recruitment, clients, staffs

(01:32):
try to beefing us up for the newyear, help make those gains,
but we weren't able to do it.
We were sanctioned and theystopped us from being able to
recruit, just due to us nothaving all of our policies and
procedures updated to all of thenew Ohio Revised Code.

(01:54):
So some technicalities on us,some documentation sheets that
we did not have the updatedforms, that asked more in-depth
questions, along with you know, certain valuable information.
So, most definitely anadministrative error that we
have, you know, corrected, solved and put plans of

(02:14):
corrections in place.
But just wanted to give you alla little bit of you know detail
on that On top of you knowwe'll put a pin in that.
But, moving over to anotherindustry that we are in is real
estate.
We purchased a two family home2024, closed on it in November

(02:36):
Over there doing some updatesand mods and having the place
for occupancy, and it's a twofamily.
Someone already a familyalready lives upstairs and we're
occupying the one downstairsjust, and it's a two family, um,
someone already a familyalready lives upstairs and we're
occupying the one downstairsjust getting it all away, um,
halved up to the you know specand our liking, that being said,
been having to be an investor.

(02:59):
Um put money into the propertybefore really making money off
of it, making sure that we'rehandling things as adequate as
we can as landlords now lookingto have this investment pay off,
as other ones have.
So it's still a waiting game.
You can make really good moneywith rentals and buying in up

(03:26):
and coming areas or areas thatare high rental areas.
So I'm learning it.
I've only been into that just alittle bit over, maybe two or
three months at right now, beingin it full time, you know.
So just venting with you, freedom speakers, just just
venting, wanting to give you myviews and cues and things of

(03:50):
what it is to be an entrepreneurfor me, not just an
entrepreneur for people, butgive you my story and my path of
entrepreneurship and where Ihope to take it and just giving
people that that view of reallywhat the day to day is.
On leveling yourself up,keeping yourself, powering

(04:11):
forward.
You know all kind ofmotivational things I try to say
to myself, putting those, thosespells on me to keep moving.
So, freedom speakers man, youcan follow me on my social
medias at permission, the numbertwo underscore, speak freely
podcast on IG, and you canfollow me on my Ben Boston page
on IG.
That's BNBOSSN on IG as well.

(04:35):
You can follow me on Facebookat Ken Juan, authentic Johnson.
That's KEN capital JUAN,authentic Johnson, and you can
follow me on TikTok atpermission.
Number two underscore speakfreely Freedom speakers.
I used to give information outfreely about business just

(04:58):
entrepreneurship and even wentto a few seminars myself to hear
other people speak justentrepreneurship.
And even went to a few seminarsmyself to hear other people
speak.
And a lot of times most peoplewho do motivational speak or you
know, you get a little pep talk, things like that.
You know, um, I kind of find usall saying the same things to,
uh, people who look at us andfollow us and want to, you know,

(05:20):
be a part of what we're doingor learn from us.
Um, it kind of got overwhelmingto me of how to try to explain
to someone that views me or whatI'm doing as successful or
enticing, something that theywould like to partake in,
without giving them the fullstory of what you have to do and

(05:41):
mentally being capable andmaking yourself attractive in
different ways, to to be able toget those, step into those
rooms, to get the yes, to getthe connections that you need.
So, in the short, when peopleask, man, how do you become
successful, how do you do this, how do you do that?
It's very difficult and genericto kind of kind of just keep

(06:03):
telling people to just work hard, stay disciplined.
Commitment, like everyone sellsthat, you know, everyone sells
that.
But what I look to do is giveyou the real wrapper off myself.
Ok, the human being, theself-development of what it
takes to not only put yourselfin a position to obtain it, but

(06:26):
put yourself in a position tomaintain it.
It seemed like we all, to somelevel or some degree, can get
things we want, but now we gotto have to explain to people,
when we drop the ball on them, what really happened.
You know, and it happens to usall.
Man, I've seen great people beup today and then be down
tomorrow.

(06:46):
So I try to walk with grace, being graceful with a level of
understanding, a level of beinghumble, if you will, even though
I'm not a real big fan of it,but I understand, like, what it
means.
You know what, what the messageis, you know.
So, that being said, I walkamongst the people, like Jesus

(07:07):
did.
You know, I don't look to beabove them, but they do look to
marvel at me sometimes, andthat's a that is a unique thing
to handle.
Freedom speakers, I'm justventing to you about the man who
seemed to be the man for manypeople.
Ok, I sit at the pinnacle ofthe positions in the hats that I

(07:29):
wear.
Ok, I aim to be a great father.
I said at the top ranks thereto be a businessman.
I sit in the top ranks there.
An entrepreneur sit in the topranks there as a husband, sit in
the top ranks there as ahusband.
Sitting the top ranks therelike my mother telling them the
number one son, um, so I just inall of the, I'm a good cousin,

(07:54):
all that good shit.
But beyond that, um, heavy isthe head that wears the crown,
they say.
Because if you're wearing acrown, it's heavy, because them
jewels are real.
Chief ali quotes fake jews youcan wear them with no weight.
Real jews hold weight.
Okay, but bringing it fullcircle, I just wanted to be able

(08:17):
to update everyone on where myintention has been and my
apologies on not um, puttingforth as much effort into my art
for my listeners, the peoplewho have come to me and almost
bullied me.
If, like man, where the show atcontent is content, bro, tell
us, just tell us what's going onwith you, and I'm exercising

(08:39):
myself to most definitely dothat.
So, uh, shout out to Nucci.
Randall Campbell.
Randy Campbell, childhoodfriend, growing up more of like
a brother than anything.
He hits up frequently and thattells me how he appreciates the
show, appreciates the content.
So, most definitely, 100%.
Shout out to you, nucci King, noodle McLovin, randy Campbell,

(09:04):
my brother.
Shout out to the Campbellfamily, man, much love and
respect to you and yours.
But, man, I'm thankful to evenbe in this position to give
information through the podcast.
I'm thankful to be in aposition to still be an
entrepreneur that survivedthrough COVID and getting our
things in line for us to be ableto blossom and grow.

(09:25):
More than just therapeutic andmore than just our Ben Boston
Business Academy, more thanLounge 87 is our nightclub
division of things that we'relooking to grow and do.
And, of course, you gotpermission to speak freely,
podcast with me, your host, thehighest chief, ali.
So just wanted to make sure I'mtapping in with everybody and
I'm putting something out foreverybody, but I'm putting my

(09:46):
passion and my twist on it too.
Um, just keeping you updated,man.
So if you go, look at my socialmedia is most definitely my IgE
.
I've been putting up a lot moreum reels and a lot more just
content of the things that I'mdoing on a day to day, where I'm
eating, that with my, what I'mreading, what I'm, my workouts,
just just different things ofthat nature.

(10:07):
So, most definitely, follow meon social media.
Try to get me up to twenty fivehundred followers.
Man, I've got no followers forreal on social media and I'm a
star in some circles.
Ok, I'm more than followed, I'mworshipped in real life.
So for some that don't know, but I want to show love and want

(10:28):
to keep you updated on what'sgoing on.
I hope in 2025 that, not hope, let me change up my verbiage In
2025, I look to obtain threemore investment doors.
If I, that can be by way ofthree single family homes.
That can be a way of one twofamily, one single family.

(10:49):
That could be a triplex, quadplex, just any of those
things that can help ourportfolio of growing our
business.
Our portfolio of growing ourbusiness, some residual income
being able to bring employment, offer jobs to other craftsmen

(11:11):
and tradesmen and people withspecialties and things of that
nature.
So just that's the way that Igive back.
Ok, as an entrepreneur, the waythat I view me giving back is
through the jobs that arecreated.
So a chief Ali quote real quick.
If an entrepreneur is willingto take care of you.
That means I don't have to signthe government government.

(11:43):
So Mr T in office officially nowyou know.
So he in there.
If you didn't realize last timewhen he was in office 2017,
2018, how things becameregulated and how things were
set up, you're going to reallyget an awakening now.
And if you didn't know what taxbrackets you were in, back,
then they made you aware.
And if you didn't get the memoback, then you most definitely
definitely going to get the memonow.
That being said, man, get yourcoins in order, get your dollars

(12:07):
right, learn credit, man.
Okay, I pushed this even to theteam members within the business
, our employees of all ranks heyman, you can go get an instant
raise without the job right now.
Man, if you just go into thebank and you qualify, you know
their job is to help you andassist you get some money.
You know they don't wantnegative reports of hey man, I

(12:30):
couldn't get nobody approved, but you got to come attractive
to them.
You know, but that's a whole.
Nother episode, a whole, nothertopic, a whole nother.
You know, but that's a.
It's a whole.
Nother episode, a whole, nothertopic, a whole.
Nother.
You know I can ramble on aboutit, but just finance is a big
thing, especially on managing it.
You can give a fool.
This is our people who hit thelottery and then they they got

(12:51):
to go work back a a career jobor something because they didn't
manage the money.
They, they weren't aware ofhaving financial literacy.
They kind of I don't know wherethe line came.
And I blame hip hop, because I'ma hip hop head, I know what's
braggadocious and who's this andwho's that.
But I think hip hop made peoplefeel like blowing money is cool

(13:12):
.
And when you really learn tohave money, saving money is even
cooler.
Okay, it's even polar beartoenail cool shout out the
outcast for that cooler than thepolar bears toenails.
That was big boy.
But, um, saving money is cooler.
Being able to have some moneyto pull, to be able to go do the

(13:33):
things that you need to do, isfine.
That's even cooler.
Not be not ruiningrelationships with people
because you had to borrow acouple dollars and then, hey,
man, let me hit you back taxtime, man, let me claim on you.
Just, you know how we do.
And when I say we, you knowwhat I mean.
I'm talking about black people.
Okay, us is blacks, uh, butthat's another conversation for

(13:54):
another day.
That's just me poking fun atsome things.
You know know, a little satire.
But that being said, freedomspeakers, thank you all for just
listening to me rant today, getting a couple of things off
my chest, letting you know whatI'm into and what I'm doing,
back into my chief operatingmode keeping the businesses

(14:15):
afloat, making connections, tapping into the community a
little bit more.
Want to heavily get involved inthe school systems.
Talk to, maybe, some councilmen.
I really want to get involvedin Cleveland, ohio, 216.
That's where I'm from.
Grew up on East 55th and Dibble, moved to East 71st Street
between Superior and St ClairBefore then, as a youngin',

(14:37):
youngin' youngin' Grew up onEast 88th in St Clair.
Before then, as a youngin',youngin' youngin' grew up on
East 88th in St Clair, went toCharles H Lake Elementary, went
to Case Elementary School, wentto Wilson Middle School and all
of those schools, I believe, areno longer in existence.

Went to East High School, whichis no longer in existence.

(14:57):

It was just no longer inexistence.
