Phil Little (00:10):
Hello, I'm Phil
Little, your host on the Private
Investigator Experience, andwe're doing a podcast every week
with my son, Wade Little, as mycohost.
And I've been getting, uh,questions about, Events that are
going on around the world andwhat, uh, might be affecting us
and could affect us in our owncommunities.
(00:31):
So I'm starting to do, uh, alittle weekend wrap up, just
touching on, one or two of thehighlights.
but every week we'll try to keepyou up to date on what is going
on.
First I want you to know a aboutme.
Uh, I come from a biblicalbackground as my biblical
worldview.
This is not a religious or apolitical show, and I'm what one
(00:52):
would call a Conservative.
And I'm a very proud Americanformer military and law
enforcement, and I believe inthe freedom of America, and we
are the most blessed country inthe world.
Um, I believe that the leadersof both parties have added to
the development of a wide chatin American politics.
(01:15):
I longed for the time when Icould talk to my democratic
friends and we could share viewsand learn from each other, and I
found that in our core values,we were really on the same page.
Even though we might have adifferent, uh, idea of how to
arrive at some of those goals,we could talk about it.
(01:36):
We could learn from each other.
You know, those times are gone.
Unfortunately, with theDemocratic party being hijacked
by a small group of radicals.
As I speak to groups today, I'masked by people, how should I
vote?
How do I know who to vote for?
And my response is, no, youshould not vote for a candidate
(01:58):
just because they're part ofyour party, but you want to find
out what they believe.
What is their position on theconstitution?
Do they believe it's still validas written today?
What is their position on freespeech and basic hidden
commandment values of life?
(02:18):
For if we lose our free speech, then our freedom of religion,
gun ownership and the freedom tomake our own decisions in life
will also be gone.
Now, over the years I did votefor a candidate for the other
party when they had these valuesover the candidate for my party.
(02:38):
So now that you know a littlebit about me, let's look at this
uh, week.
I learned some things this week.
Yes.
I'm not too old to learn.
How about you?
Were you aware that the SupremeCourt decision of almost a year
ago, in the favor of GeraldGoff, who was a postal worker
(02:59):
who had asked to have hisSundays off for religious views
on his, Sabbath day, and hewasn't supposed to work.
Well, they refused him based onwhat was called the Lemon Law
Test at that time, which, uh,meant that all they needed was a
minor a situation to say, no, wecan't afford to have you off.
(03:19):
Well, the Supreme Courtoverturned that and found in, in
this postal workers' favor, andin the, they made it, uh, to
where that, the employer had toaccommodate based on the
constitution and our freedoms, that, they would accommodate
their religious position.
(03:40):
Now, this decision representsall, companies in the United
States with over 15 employees.
Why is this good?
How does this decision affectyou and me, maybe and in our,
uh, security situation?
Well, one Constitution is beingfollowed by the Supreme Court,
(04:03):
and the Supreme Court is ourone, uh, barrier between an
overreaching secular government.
And this is a sign that theSupreme Court is going to stand
up against our freedoms beingtaken away and giving criminals
more freedoms than we ascitizens have, which adds to the
crime situation in ourcommunities.
(04:26):
Sometimes the press has notreported on the Supreme Court
decisions, and they've notreported on this, part of this
ruling by the Supreme Court.
Overturn the lemon decisionwhich meant that they could have
just a flimsy reason for notaccommodating, that is gone.
(04:47):
Also, the Lemon decisionoverturned um, the part of it
that it made it virtuallyimpossible to have any spiritual
things such as the TenCommandments, Prayer in schools,
a uh, Christmas trees, or across, nativity scene.
And that law, the Lemon law, which was applied to keep those
(05:11):
things from happening, has beenoverturned.
There's over 7,000 ordinancesacross the country that are now
unconstitutional based on this, and it's up to the citizens in
each community now to go getthose turned around and, and
start posting their religious,uh, uh, freedoms in, um, these,
(05:33):
uh, Nativity scenes crosses areTen Commandments, and the state
of Texas has enacted a law, which will bring, uh, prayer
back to the schools and also ourbasic religious freedoms.
Well, you might say, I don'tbelieve in law, so how can this
help me?
How's it going to help me?
Well, if we elect people thatbelieve in the constitution,
(05:57):
free speech, read religion, andthey then appoint judges, Who
also follow the Constitution, wewill have enforcement of laws
that put criminals off thestreet, not immediately back on
the street.
Also, those we elect will besure that the police are funded
(06:22):
and that crime prevention goesup.
Crime prevention goes up, andthen crimes is committed.
Go down if we have a strongerprevention.
Remember this, even though youmight not believe in God, the
Bible says that when therighteous are in power, the
people don't have to fear thegovernment because the righteous
(06:43):
are gonna make the decision.
You don't have to believe inGod, you don't have to have a
religion, and you're not goingto be punished for that.
So that protects everyone, notjust just those who believe in
God.
I have to believe even if youdon't believe in God, you want
freedom, security, safeopportunities for your children
(07:04):
and your family.
So your part also is to know thecandidates and to check out what
they believe before you vote.
This is not a duty that you or Icould pass on to someone else.
We each have a vote.
Now in the old communist countrydays and the dictator, uh,
(07:26):
countries, I've heard out aroundthe world, they have made the
statement and, and, I don'tthink really est because they
said,"Oh, it's not the peoplethat vote to make the
difference, it's those who countthe votes that make a
difference." Does that soundfamiliar?
Well, if we let one step of ourrights being infringed on, there
(07:47):
will soon be more.
My week's takeaway then is, ifwe elect people who will protect
constitutional rights, appointthe right judges, and support
the, uh, police and crimeprevention, we will be safer.
This is, this is just the tip ofthe iceberg of the things we
(08:08):
need to be aware of.
And I wished I had more timetoday to cover a lot more, but
next week I'll bring anothersituation to you that you can
become aware of.
So until next time, be safe.
May God bless you, and may Godbless America.
