The Firefighter Cancer Support Network is a nonprofit organization that has been helping firefighters who are diagnosed with cancer for more than 17 years.
Fire Department Coffee (https://www.firedeptcoffee.com/) is a growing for-profit coffee company, founded and operated by current and former firefighters, who created a charitable foundation to help firefighters and first responders who are injured on the job, mentally or physically, or who are facing other serious health challenges.
These organizations came together a few years ago in a perfect example of symbiotic corporate philanthropy, creating a sustainable and long-lasting relationship.
In this episode, we talk with Bryan Frieders, the President of the Firefighter Cancer Support Network and retired Fire Chief of the Pasadena Fire Department and Jason Patton, the co-founder and Vice President of Fire Department Coffee as they share more about their organizations and about the importance of corporate philanthropy.
