We’re having a conversation about Inclusion.
When it comes to inclusion at work we can all agree that diversity, equity and inclusion matters. This is something few people would debate. But while there have been countless studies that show the importance of creating inclusive workplaces. The current evidence also shows us that much of the effort and investment we make in diversity programs on average doesn’t have as much impact as we would like to see and at times can even have a negative impact.
Sameer B. Srivastava is a Professor of Business Administration and Public Policy at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business and is also affiliated with UC Berkeley Sociology. His research uses computational methods to: (1) unpack the complex interrelationships between group culture, individual cognition, and interpersonal networks; and (2) examine how they jointly relate to individual attainment and organizational performance. His work has been published in such journals as American Journal of Sociology, American Sociological Review, Administrative Science Quarterly, Management Science, and Organization Science. It has been covered in such media outlets as The New York Times, Fortune, The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, and Forbes. He currently serves as Organizations Department Editor at Management Science and was previously a Senior Editor at Organization Science. Sameer co-directs the Berkeley Culture Center and the Berkeley-Stanford Computational Culture Lab. In a prior career, Sameer was a partner at a global management consultancy (Monitor Group; now Monitor Deloitte) and he holds AB, AM, MBA, and PhD degrees from Harvard University.

The Brothers Ortiz
The Brothers Ortiz is the story of two brothers–both successful, but in very different ways.
