We also have, ok, a high schoolrising star out of Ravenscroft

(03:15):

Yes, yes, please put your handtogether for him.
It's a great father-son storyand it just really tugs at our
heart.
You know, you all know therelationship that me and Diego

here, so that will be a specialmoment.

(04:25):

So they've remixed our song andwe're going to close it out
with a banger, all right, well, let's get this show started,
okay.
So, diego, let's start thisthing off here.

(05:08):
My man, let me get my rightslide up.
And first, man, I got to messwith you a little bit because
we're in the midst of the NBAplayoffs, okay, okay, and you
know you picked the Golden StateWarriors, yep, and you know you
picked the Golden StateWarriors and you've picked them
before.
I accused you for being a homer.

Speaker 4 (05:28):
I'm just not a homer, it's just a fact.
It's a fact, it's a fact.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
Okay, all right.
Well, they're tied 1-1, andthey're about to play at 830
today.

Speaker 4 (05:37):
At home.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
At home.

Speaker 4 (05:38):
Two games at home.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
How do you feel?
Are you still confident?
What's your confidence?
I'm still confident.
Jimmy's got a chance to playand as long as we got jimmy in
the lineup, I think we got itokay.
Yeah, all right.
Well, I will give you what Inormally don't do.
This all right, but I'm feelinggenerous.
We've got so much energy in thebuilding today.
You know, I'm feeling like agood father.
Right, we got chris up here, another good dad, so I'm feeling

(06:01):
I'm feeling generous.
So I will extend a one-timeolive branch offer to you.
Okay, if you want to changeyour pick and go away from the
golden state warriors becauseyou realize that they're really
not going to win thechampionship I will give you.
I will not hold it against you.
I will let you change your pickright now not taking it.

Speaker 4 (06:20):
Nope, not taking it.
Believe in my team, you believein your team, I believe my team
.
Jimmy's not hurt too bad.
He might play.
You know he's gonna fightthrough the pain, so okay, we're
good I try, I I try.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
To have seen parents out there.
You know when your kid is goingdown the right path.
You know what I mean.
So you know I tried, as afather, to help, but I can't
sometimes.
Sometimes you just have to letthem go through it, you know.
So you're going to have tosuffer this pain, man.

Speaker 4 (06:45):
We're not suffering any pain.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
All right, all right, ok, man.
Well you're sticking with it.
We're going to see what happens.
Well, let's bring up ourPick'em Pros analyst.
All right?
You see him on every show withus, every week in our studio on
Fridays.
Please put your hands for MrChristopher Davis.
Yeah, yeah, another.

(07:14):
What's up, my man?
How you doing.

Speaker 5 (07:16):
Doing good, doing good.
How's everybody doing tonight?

Speaker 3 (07:21):
Chris, chris, chris Chris.
Now man, I got some textmessages from my family about
you today and they said makesure you talk about the Los
Angeles Lakers tonight Because,if you don't know, christopher
Davis is a big-time LA Lakerhomer.
He said throughout the regularseason that he wasn't going to

(07:47):
pick him for the nba champions, but we knew when it came down to
it he would okay because, likemy wife says, I know you better
than you know yourself okaywe're not incorrect, I am going
for.
So still, ah so, man, you'redown one, two, my man well I
mean great lebron performance.

Speaker 5 (08:09):
Luca got a stomach bug and couldn't muster up a flu
game and yeah, it was just.
It was bad all around.
Bad turnovers.
It just anthony edwards and jaymcdangle's really doing their
thing.
I didn't.
I expected ant to do his thing, but not jayden mcd.
So you know, we'll see.
We'll see Long series, though, first to four, though First to
four.

Speaker 3 (08:27):
First to four, first to four.
Okay, luka is ailing a littlebit, all right, I guess.
Yeah, diego, go ahead, my man.

Speaker 4 (08:35):
Yeah, maybe you guys shouldn't have made the Luka
trade man.
Who knows?

Speaker 5 (08:37):
All right.
Well, we're back to this again.
I saying did we know that hisstomach would screw up in a big
playoff moment?
No, we did not, and in othergames he has carried us.
Now I do think that we didunderestimate the timberwolves
and we really I feel like wewere looking so far ahead.
The lakers and five meme, allthat kind of yeah, I feel like

(08:59):
jace us a little bit, but youknow well, hey, let's see yeah,
yeah, that whole lakers and fivethere, there were a lot of
people saying that and yeah,it's been a little bit.

Speaker 3 (09:05):
But you know well, hey, let's see.
Yeah, yeah, that whole lakersand five there, there were a lot
of people saying that and yeah,it's been a little rough yeah,
but a lot of people sayinglakers and five, just not gonna
lie about that.
But for sure, for sure.
All right, my man.
Well, yeah, hey, you know I.
It's once been said defensewins championships.

Speaker 5 (09:23):
I mean offense, and having one of the greatest
players of all time definitelyhelps too.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
Let's see.
But hey, LeBron, did he put upsome big numbers last night?

Speaker 4 (09:31):
What did he do Like 38, right?

Speaker 5 (09:34):
Yeah, 38, hit back-to-back threes and I was
like, oh, we have a chance.
And then, yeah, it just allfell apart, all fell apart.

Speaker 3 (09:41):
But now with five minutes left, because it was a
tie game, it was With fiveminutes left.
It was anybody's game, that wasa game that it looked like the
Lakers might pull off becausethey overall weren't playing
well and it was tied with fiveminutes left.
That's one you definitely wantto steal.
But credit to Ant-Man.
He hit a huge three coming outof that timeout and they didn't

(10:01):
look back.

Speaker 5 (10:02):
And coming out of that timeout and they didn't
look back and my thing I reallywant to.
I was thinking about thisduring the game.
I was like we might have tostart giving Ant a legend killer
nickname, because this isstarting to get crazy.
I mean, what he did to KD, whathe's now doing to LeBron and
Luka, it's getting scary and Ilike that moment in between
where Ant is laughing withLeBron.
It felt like a passing of thetorch.

Speaker 3 (10:28):
Now I felt like a passing of the torch.
Now I still want to.
I still want to be thetimberwolves.
So we can't, you know, get alittle too fresh, but I
definitely, I'm definitelyexcited for the rest of this
series.
All right, all right, okay, oh,you know what?
So I'm gonna extend the sameoffer to you.
Okay, same offer to you that Isent to the other again, I'm
feeling very generous with ourcrowd here tonight, okay, so I'm
gonna extend the offer to youmy One time.
You can go ahead and changeyour pick, so you can get off
the Lakers train and you canpick somebody else to win the

(10:50):
championship you want to take it.

Speaker 5 (10:52):
You know I think apologies, lakers.
In six we are going to thechampionship.
We're winning this whole thing.
Let's go.

Speaker 3 (11:03):
All right, six games, baby.
I'm trying to help y'all.

Speaker 4 (11:07):
We're sticking with our teams, man, we have faith in
our teams.
I think that's a good trait tohave Sticking with your teams,
all right.

Speaker 3 (11:13):
Well, both of you guys may or may not be bounced
out of the first round, but Iknow who will not be bounced out
of the first round Me and myguy Julian Hay.
Me and my guy julian hay.
I know he is not going to bebounced out of the first round,
so I tell you what let's goahead and bring in my man uh,

(11:33):
boston celtics.
Uh, guru, I will say, okay, spent a lot of time in boston, I
believe he was born in bostonto he'll school us on that.
I don't think there's anybodyanybody more knowledgeable about
boston, especially the BostonCeltics.
So let's bring our guy JulianPeguillon.
Yes, here we go.
Yeah, I got some cup.

(11:59):
Yeah, see, we're flanking y'all.
We're on the corners here, allright, yeah, you have to go
ahead and put my chain on forthe team that I picked.
All right, all right, yes.

Speaker 5 (12:10):
Cavs all year, but all of a sudden playoffs comes
around and the Cavs are actuallyplaying really well in their
series.
That's all I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (12:17):
Yeah they are.
It happened yesterday, man youwant to talk about yesterday?

Speaker 3 (12:19):
Yeah, well, we'll talk about it.
We're going to give it to ourguy, Julian.
See, I can sit back.
We've got the expert.
First of all, welcome to theshow.

Speaker 10 (12:27):
Thanks for having me .

Speaker 3 (12:28):
Thanks for having me.

Speaker 10 (12:29):
So yeah, it's going to be predictable what's going
to happen in the playoffs.
Boston's going to come out ofthe East, right, the Lakers are
not going to get out of thefirst round.
I could tell, even when he wassaying that he really didn't
believe it.
You can look at him and tell hereally didn't believe that and
that's okay.
I understand he's got the haton, he's got to represent.
But Celtics are going to be,you know, coming out of the East

(12:51):
.
Cavaliers look good, can'tdismiss them.
But we've got experience, we'vebeen here before.
It's just getting to the point,to where it's money time in the
finals.
Eastern Conference finals.

Speaker 3 (13:03):
All right yeah yeah.
Yeah, I agree, I agree.
Now, tatum took a bad fall andyou know he has that wrist
injury.
But how did he look in game?
They listed him as doubtfulagain, but I guess he surprised
everybody in play.
What's?

Speaker 10 (13:17):
your take on that.
So he sat out game two.
They took care of business.
Anyway.
He did play in game three.
I think he had like 36 for thegame.
So, um, but you know, orlandocame out.
It was their first game inorlando, right, um.
So they came out a little extraaggressive, um.
So you know we didn't take thatgame.
So we're up to one in theseries, but it's all about just
winning four.
You know what I mean doesn'thave to be a sweep, it's all

(13:39):
about just getting first team tofour wins.
That's true.
Goes to now into the next round, that's true.

Speaker 3 (13:44):
So I picked the Boston Celtics to win the
championship this year, but forthis round one I felt they would
have a little bit of bump.
I didn't know that Tatum wouldhurt his wrist, but I picked
them to win.
I just had a funny feeling theywere going to win this first
round in six.
So that's what I was on recordfor there, and now that they
dropped one, you know maybe five, six, but I don't see it going

(14:06):
past six.

Speaker 10 (14:07):
I don't see it going past six.
Honestly, I don't see it goingpast five.
Okay, you know it's mathematics.
I mean, you take care of homecourt.
They did that Right.
You get one away in Orlando.
We got two more shots at that.
That's right.
You know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
And then you come back home wrap it up.
So who do you have the BostonCeltics playing in the Eastern
Conference Finals and who do youhave them playing in the
championship?
Take us all the way through.

Speaker 10 (14:35):
Yeah.
So in the Eastern ConferenceFinals it's going to be
Cleveland.
Okay, cleveland is tough, they're up 3-0 right now.
When it's tough, they're up 3-0right now they're killing Miami
, so that will probably be asweep.
So we'll get through Orlandoand, to be honest with you, it
may be a little touch and go.
Boston is kind of like that old, reliable car.
It doesn't look too prettysometimes but they get the job

(14:57):
done.
So even if Orlando does go 6,we'll come out of that.
We'll probably face New York inround 2.
That'll be fun because wealways enjoy beating up on the
Knicks.
That will probably be a sweep, just because we enjoy we get up
for New York and taking them outand bringing them misery.
So take care of New York andthen it'll be on to Cleveland in

(15:17):
the finals, eastern Conferencefinals, I think with Cleveland
that'll probably go 7.
Because Cleveland is they playedus tough all year Right, it's a
bona fide team.
You know top to bottom on theirroster.
Donovan Mitchell is a beast.
So that'll probably go six orseven games.
But I think we'll come out inthe end again with the
experience right.

(15:38):
And then in the finals, in theNBA finals, it's going to be OKC
, okc is they're killing it outthere.
So I think that series willalso go seven.
I think we're going to repeatas champs.
Okc, as good as they are, theydon't have experience on their

(16:01):
side.
So for that I think we got theadvantage in that series to come
out and repeat.
I can't speak for next year, but for this year.
That's how it's going to godown.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
Okay, wow, that'll be something.
Yeah, that's exactly what Ipicked, okc and the Celtics.

Speaker 4 (16:19):
That's not going to happen because they've got to
get past the Warriors.
Yeah, and Jason Tatum.
He scored 36, but he could haveeasily scored like 50.
Because late in the game all hewas shooting was step-back
threes, Step-back three afterstep-back three.
He kept missing them.
It was like I mean like, keeptrying something, Just try
something different.
Yeah, Like they could haveeasily won that game but, he

(16:41):
just kept taking too many badshots.
He does take a lot of bad shotsand they were missing Drew
Holiday, so that was a big piece.
They still could have easilywon if Tatum took better shots.

Speaker 10 (16:49):
You know how it is with Boston.
Sometimes, when you know you'rebetter than your opponent,
sometimes you play with yourfood.

Speaker 4 (16:56):
That's what he was doing.

Speaker 10 (16:58):
They play with their food.
So they dropped one in Orlando.
I think they only lost by twopoints, so it could have gone
either way, right down to thewire.
But again, orlando's not goingto be an issue.

Speaker 4 (17:08):
Yeah, they got to watch that.
They got to watch playing withtheir food, because they might
lose one of these series doingthat.

Speaker 10 (17:13):
Yeah, but you know it's always.
You know, depends on who you'replaying.
So they get up for certainteams.
So it's not that theydisrespect Orlando.
They disrespect Orlando, yes,but they pretty much, you know,
feel like they're the betterteam and they can get through
Orlando.
Okay, I think they'll be moreexcited to play the Knicks.
Yes, just because it's New York, I agree, and we love to put
our foot on the necks of NewYorkers, I agree.

(17:35):
Right, so I think you knowyou'll see the level of play
increase for round two.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
And then certainly Cleveland.
You got to take him seriously, all right, yeah, okay, all right
.
Well, I'm going to get you outof here on this one.
Got one final question for you, okay?

Speaker 10 (17:58):
Miss Olivia live under par.
Does she get her golf game fromyou?
So of course she gets all ofher good traits from me, right?
I mean, that's how it works inour household, so I'm gonna say
yes to that, even though I'venever picked up a golf club and
swung, but of course she getsher talent from me all right,
all right, all right.

Speaker 3 (18:12):
Well, ladies and gentlemen, please put your hands
together for Mr Julian Heggy.
Yes, thank you.
Thank you, all right, all right, all right, ladies and

(18:33):
gentlemen, we are going to moveon to our next topic.
We are going to move on toPower Slap, but before we do
that, we've got a quick intro toplay here.
All right here we go too easy.

(18:59):
What's good, Tim Farris?

Speaker 1 (19:02):
Jordan, we're going to win them all.
I pick them like a pro Globaltriumph ball.
Talk a big and roll.
We're going to up the score, touchdown.
This is not a field goal.
We, the winning team Champions.
We the rock, we the rock.

Speaker 3 (19:35):
All right, ladies and gentlemen, put your hands
together for Devin Jenkins.
Yes, all right.

Speaker 11 (19:50):
What's good?

Speaker 3 (19:51):
My man, my man, we're finally doing this, man.
Yeah, man, I've been excited totalk about this, you know, let
people know what's going on yeah, yeah, you're so, man, the uh
sport of power slap is uh mustwatch tv is the fastest growing
sport out there right now and,uh, you are clearly doing your

(20:11):
thing in the sport, so we'rereally excited to learn more
about power slap through you.
Um, but uh, now we have anautographed jersey here, so
everybody that has a following, devin uh, we are going to pull a
name here at the end of devin'ssegment and one of you will get
his autographed jersey here.
Okay, so we're going to pullthat at the end.
But, um, again, one of thefastest growing sports.

(20:32):
Just tell us how did you getinto this sport of powerslap and
you know what was.
What was your reaction when yousaw your first?

Speaker 11 (20:39):
mat.
I would say I got into it thesame way that most people got
into it like Instagram or mostpeople see it on Instagram right
, and I was just sitting on thecouch one day.
I was like man, I could do this.
I was like I have a backgroundof powerlifting national
powerlifter.
I played juco basketball, I wasin the military, so I was like

(21:04):
looking at the way people weredoing the sport and I was like
this could be done better.
Yeah.
And I was like I know I could doit better.
So that's kind of whatintrigued me about it the most.
Plus, I like contact sports.

Speaker 3 (21:15):
Okay.

Speaker 8 (21:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (21:18):
So do you remember the hardest slap you took and
what was your most satisfyingslap?

Speaker 11 (21:24):
I would say that I haven't taken my most hardest
slap yet.
Most of the stuff is, honestly,it looks worse than what it
really is, and I would say thatmy competitors, they need to
step up their game a little bit.
Most of the time I'm justgetting fouled Like I've been
hit in the neck, I've been jamis, and I would say that my
competitors and they need tostep up their game a little bit.
Most of the time I'm justgetting fouled like I've been
hitting the neck, I've beenjammed in the eye, I've been hit
palm first and all of those arefouls, right, okay.

(21:46):
So I'm still waiting for, like, the hardest hit.
You know I still don't thinkI've got it yet.
And as far as satisfying one,um, I'm still working on my
technique a little bit, you know.
So once I get my technique down, like I've gotten it from the
first time I competed until now,big difference and I think that

(22:08):
once I get a first-roundknockout, that will be my most
satisfying slap.
It ain't happened yet.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
Okay, okay, we'll be watching for that.
So you know you mentioned thatyou haven't taken your hardest
slap yet and you know we seeyour training videos on
instagram and you're doing someinsane training and working out
with your neck.
We see you pulling, pullingweight with your neck, and all
of that.
You know how much would youattribute that to you not taking

(22:34):
your hardest slap, so to speak?

Speaker 11 (22:37):
um, I would say the training is the most important
thing.
Um, yeah, I wish we had some ofthose videos and be training
with my neck and slinging aroundkettlebells and stuff like that
, yes um, but how does thatapply?

Speaker 3 (22:51):
to yeah, does that?
Does that allow the the slap tonot really impact you as much
because of all the training?

Speaker 11 (22:58):
definitely, definitely.
Your training in any sport isthe most important thing and the
thing that protects you.
And, because of the necktraining and the jaw training
that I do, um, and a lot of coretraining also, um, being able
to brace, stabilize your headand neck, that's like a big part
of the defense.

Speaker 3 (23:18):
Okay, uh, yeah, that's why I ain't got it yet,
okay okay, because when you, when you take, when you take the
slap, right you, I know likeyou may want to turn your neck,
but what, what can you and what, what can't you not do when
you're taking this, when you'retaking the slap, as far as
turning so on your neck, youcan't turn and you can't like
raise your shoulders, you can'tdo anything that affects the

(23:38):
slap so far as turning, so onyour net.

Speaker 11 (23:39):
You can't turn and you can't like raise your
shoulders, you can't do anythingthat affects the slap.
So, as I'm coming, if you raiseyour shoulders and I hit that
first, or if you bring your headaway, that's um a flinching
foul right and it kind of ischildish in a way, which that's
the part that I like about it.
You get two for flinching, so,but then you would go to get a
hit again if you uh, flinchedokay.

Speaker 3 (24:01):
Wow, that that's amazing.
That's amazing, okay.
So with that then, um, also, Ithink, many people.
Another rumor is that mostpeople probably think that the
match ends with somebody gettingknocked out, but that's not
true.
It can go to judge a scorecardlike a boxing match.
You want to explain that alittle bit.

Speaker 11 (24:19):
Yeah, definitely.
At the end, Say that one moretime.

Speaker 3 (24:25):
So in like a I think a lot of people think with power
slap that it ends with somebodygetting knocked out.
Right.
Right.
A lot of times it doesn't.
Can you kind of explain whathappens when you go through the
rounds and both people are stillstanding?

Speaker 11 (24:37):
so there's a scorecard, okay, and um, also
fouls, depending on how manyfouls you got.
So say, if you did two foulsand you're still standing at the
end of it, right, that could goagainst your final scorecard
not sure, not sure.

Speaker 3 (24:54):
Tell you what let's.
Let's take our question.
We have someone here in theaudience and then we'll go to
Diego's, so yeah.
What goes through your mind.
Let's turn mic four up a littlebit here we go Okay.

Speaker 12 (25:08):
What goes through your mind right before you slap
someone as hard as you can?

Speaker 11 (25:14):
I would say I'm not really focused on them.
I'm focused on what I'msupposed to do, training wise.
Like I'm focusing on, uh,clenching and biting down into
my mouthpiece and also bracingmy core and watching like their
hand as it approaches my face.
Like all of it comes down tolike a split timing decision.

(25:35):
So that's what I'm focusing on,like doing my training.
So it happens naturally, noproblem, thank you what's your
music playlist?

Speaker 4 (25:47):
like before you get ready for battle?
Like are you like what'sgetting you hype?

Speaker 11 (25:52):
so I, I listen to all kinds of music honestly.
Honestly, might shock you alittle bit, but, like right
before, I'm listening to likesome Sade, like Erykah Badu,
like something very smooth, right, I don't want to be amped
the whole time, right, and Ijust want that adrenaline to
come out at the time that I needit.

(26:13):
So it's like smooth listening.
So it's like smooth listening, like during my training.
I may listen to like some, somelike harder stuff, you know,
like hip hop, rap, like evenrock.
Sometimes it just depends onwhat kind of mood I'm in.
That's, that's what the musickind of determines.

Speaker 3 (26:34):
Yeah, yeah, I feel you because that was the same
way with me when I, when I playball, I listen to something calm
and cool, like because I wasalready amped, so I was trying
to get myself calmed down.
So that's what the premierathletes like me and Devin,
that's what we do, man.

Speaker 4 (26:47):
Might be just Devin, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (26:53):
So, devin, you know, would you say that there are
people out there that still takethat, don't take power slap
seriously, and what are some ofthe myths out there in the world
of power slap?

Speaker 11 (27:08):
I would say, when you don't understand something,
then you know you may have afear about it, and the more that
you know, the more that youunderstand, the more enjoyable
it becomes.
So if you're looking at it andlike, ah yeah, it's just two
people up there slapping eachother, then of course you're
like, ah, this is stupid, right, right.
But if you're looking like, ohman, how is he going to set up

(27:30):
to to strike this person?
Is he going to use more of likehow a baseball player would set
up right in a wide stance, orlike a golf stance, like more
narrow, right?
Is he going to throw his handwith like a straight hand or is
it going to be like a bent armor like?
There's so many intricatedetails to the sport and once
you understand those, just likeyou do football or basketball or

(27:50):
boxing, because you understandthe rules so much.
That's why it's entertaining,got you?

Speaker 4 (27:55):
Okay.

Speaker 11 (27:56):
Great.

Speaker 4 (27:56):
If you had a power, slap, dream match between like
celebrities, other athletes orwhoever, who would it be between
?

Speaker 11 (28:04):
Wait, am I slapping them?
I mean it could be Okay If I'mslapping them.
I say the rock, I would like togo against the rock.
That would be interesting.
Slap that ball head.
We both ball, make it happen.
Um, as far as seeing two otherpeople slap each other, like in

(28:26):
my, in my division, I don't, Idon't really care to see that
either.
Um, I guess that's that's kindof it about that one man.
I don't really want to seeanybody else get slapped, unless
it's for sport, unless you'rein there, you're getting paid,
you're getting money, then it'scool.
I don't know about the rest ofit, yeah All right, what's your

(28:50):
mindset right before a match?

Speaker 3 (28:52):
We know, okay, you're listening to Sade, you're
listening to something smooth, kind of calming down a little
bit.
But right, when you, when youstep into the arena there and
you know they're determiningwho's going to slap first, just
what's your, what's your mindsetgoing in?

Speaker 11 (29:08):
Very internal, like internal dialogue with myself,
positive self-talk, tellingmyself I can do this and going
over like, uh, my technique andthings like that, um, not really
focused on the crowd or boozeor anything that I've heard like
that, it's really like lockedin the best way to describe it

(29:30):
um, and I think that helps meperform.
So it doesn't matter whatenvironment I'm in, I'm always
having that good, positivedialogue.
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (29:41):
Cool.
So what's something peoplewould be surprised to know about
you?

Speaker 11 (29:47):
like outside of the ring or stage.
I mean there's a couple thingsI'd say.
I was in the military right soI did a couple deployments to
Afghanistan.
I was a combat engineer, whichbasically.
You ever seen that movie HurtLocker before?

Speaker 4 (30:06):
I haven't seen that one.

Speaker 11 (30:07):
You seen that?
Yeah.
Yeah, you seen the Hurt Locker?
Yeah.
So that's kind of what I did, like finding explosives, ieds,
and then, on the other end ofthe spectrum, you ever heard of
those like silver sneakersclasses, right, like group
fitness classes yes.
I used to instruct those right.
Okay.
So I've been in the fitnessspace for a really long time

(30:28):
doing everything from groupfitness, you know, like the body
scope, you know you're doingweights and stuff like that.
Yes, yeah, With all the momsand stuff.
I'd be in there in my hotshorts and long socks.
Honestly getting it man.
Yeah Right, A little bit ofboth ends of the spectrum,
uh-huh, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (30:48):
And you are a trainer , so you know how do you balance
being a power slap athlete aswell as being a trainer?

Speaker 11 (30:56):
Well, I've set a good training business for
myself where I don't have towork as much.
I pretty much work from like 5am to like 2 pm and that's my
day, and then that gives me alot of time for myself, honestly
, because it goes into mynutrition, my sleep regimen.

(31:17):
So I take a lot of daytime naps, my training regimen, and then
also, just like recovery, like Ido a lot of stretching and
massage and what else do I do,like leg compression boots?
Yeah, the recovery aspect isone of the biggest parts and

(31:41):
that does take up a lot of time.
But also I hope to by leadingby example, you know, doing all
those things myself that Iinspire my clients to also be
like, hey, I mean, he's doing it, he's not having me do nothing
that he's not doing himselfRight, and and uh, you know,
help them get closer to theirgoals so what's your?

Speaker 3 (32:01):
what's your ultimate speaking of goals, what's your
ultimate goal in this, uh, sportof power?

Speaker 11 (32:07):
slap ultimate goal for you well, being number one,
all right, really, that's allthat matters to me right now
being number one in my sport andthe accolades that comes with
that and the recognition thatcomes with that, and holding
that for as long as I can, butalso leaving the sport better
than when I started so that theathletes are understanding about

(32:29):
all of these things that youhave to do.
The nutrition, the sleep that'swhat makes a well-rounded
athlete.
It's it's not just getting upthere and slapping somebody.
Or you know, if you playbasketball shooting, it's not
just getting up there andslapping somebody.
Or you know, if you playbasketball shooting, and it's
not just you know football, it'severything Right.

Speaker 3 (32:45):
All right, well, we understand.
You have an autographed jerseythat we're going to give away,
so we'd love to give that away.
So can we get the raffle bucket?
Bring that on up, jamila, andmeanwhile, while we do that, you
know what Can you?
Can we do a littledemonstration For?

Speaker 11 (33:08):
sure.

Speaker 3 (33:09):
Come on, y'all want to see a demonstration how
PowerSnap works?
Come on, let's get on up here.
Let's get on up here.
Yeah, we'll just sit that rightthere come on, diego where's

(33:30):
the other mic?
you got the other mic there.
You know the mic here.
All right, okay.
So let's see, devin, why don'tyou't you?
Let's go here.
Diego, come over here, allright, yeah, over here, over
here, all right, so they can seeon camera.
Okay.
So, all right, we're up herenow.
I understand that they have tohave a stick behind your back,
okay.
You have to put your shouldersdown.

(33:52):
Okay.

Speaker 11 (33:59):
Shoulders have to be down, okay, right.
Chin has to be neutral righthere, all right, and your hips
have to be slightly touching.
There's a little podium betweenus, right, okay.
So that's what they'll have youtouching there, and, as me, the
striker, they'll ask me whathand and count that I want to go
on.
Usually, I go on one, oh, andthat's like you measure, right,

(34:23):
you get a good measure.
I don't have no time.
You get a measure in, oh, andthen from here I'm going boom,
ah, that's one right, okay.
Or you could do two or three andthat would be like you do two.
Yeah and then go on the thirdone.

Speaker 3 (34:35):
Okay Now, and I understand there's like three
people behind the person that'sgetting slapped.

Speaker 11 (34:43):
Right, yeah, and those are the catchers.
The catchers they're just tomake sure that you know you
don't fall incorrectly oranything like that, okay, but,
as this person, what peopledon't see is they're bracing
their core right and they'reclenching down on the mouth
guard.
That's right, and they're kindof in just a small shrug of the
shoulders and that helps protectthe head.

(35:05):
And a strong neck is reallyimportant, honestly.
It helps keep you centered andthat's the defense, right, so
they're not just standing theretaking a hit.
It just happens so fast it'shard to see.
And then we go back to me, thestriker, right, yeah, um, I got
my feet planted.
We got to be parallel together, right, all right.

(35:25):
And then I say I'm going on one.
He goes good, I get my measureright here, right, then I'll go
here.
boom, oh, okay, through, I can'tpivot my foot right, oh, I have
to leave my foot planted, whichmakes it hard because you
usually pivot for power, right, like almost in every sport,
right?
Okay um, and I can't hit himpalm first, so I can't go here,

(35:52):
right, I have to hit hand andpalm right at the same time.
Okay, I have to hit below theeye here, yeah, and above the
chin here and I can't hit yourear.
So really it's this small yeah, yeah, that's a small target,
yeah, golf side, golf ball sizetarget that you're trying to hit
with all your power.
Okay, that's why it isdifficult, because it takes

(36:13):
accuracy, power and timing right, just like any other sport man,
that's wild.

Speaker 3 (36:18):
That's wild.
Do we have any volunteers to bemy catcher?
Y'all gonna be my catcher,y'all y'all wanna see me take a
slap, okay, okay, I, I have acatcher, I have a catcher, all I
have a catcher, all right, okay, well, let's go ahead and draw.

(36:40):
So, diego, you want to come upand yeah, let's draw.
Let's see who's going to getthis jersey from our guy All
right, oh, there you go, 2960045.

Speaker 4 (36:58):
Say it again 2960045.
296 0045.

Speaker 11 (37:08):
Ooh, this jersey is going to be worth some money, so
give it a couple years, it'llbe worth some money.

Speaker 3 (37:16):
It's about to be number one, let's pick another
one.
Oh, whoa, whoa, we got a winner.
Oh, tatum, jason Tatum.
All right, let's grab thatjersey.
Okay, that's it.
Yes, yes, tommy, our rapper, performer of the night.
Yes, yes, that jersey.
Let me go ahead and sign it soI can personally yeah yeah, yeah

(37:38):
, yeah, let's bring the pin, let's go ahead and sign it.
All right, love it.
Yeah, yeah, but yeah, you haveto take a slap if you're going
to accept that jersey, tommy.

Speaker 8 (37:56):
All right, love it.

Speaker 3 (37:58):
All right, love it there we go, all right.
Well, ladies and gentlemen, let's give devin jenkins a big
round of applause.
Let's follow, let's follow hisinstagram.
Let's follow everything thathe's doing.
We're gonna get this gentlemanto the number one spot in Power

(38:18):
Slap and you got a bunch of newfans, my man.
So, thank you, appreciate itman.

Speaker 11 (38:22):
All right, I appreciate it and help.
The support for the followersreally helps.
Thank you, that's right Allright, we'll be back.
Okay, thank you.

Speaker 3 (38:54):
Thank you.
All right, ladies and gentlemen.
Man, that was wild.
I think I could have taken thatslap.
Man, I really think I couldhave taken it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, there, we go,there we go.
Yeah, yeah, I think I couldhave taken it.

(39:15):
Yeah, d, you ain't that toughman.
Yeah, yeah, all right, allright, okay, well, hey, y'all
ready for Christopher Davisagain?
All right, you can do betterthan that.
You ready for Christopher Davisagain?
Come on, come on, chris, comejoin us.
Man, let's talk a little NFLNFL draft.

(39:37):
All right, all right.
So, man, wow, let's talk alittle NFL NFL draft.
All right, all right.
So, man, wow, I think the drafthas finally concluded.
Yep, so, diego man, kick us off.
Man, what happened with ShadorSanders?
Man, I thought he was going topthree first round.

Speaker 4 (39:59):
It ended up going round five pick 144 to the
Cleveland cleveland browns.
So that was a shocker, wow, yeah, I think I think nfl gm
just wanted to, you know, humblehim because he he came in, you
know he had a lot of a lot ofconfidence, so did a, did some
you know, controversial things,yeah, colorado.
So uh, yeah, but he finally gotpicked.
Okay, good for him finally gotpicked.

Speaker 3 (40:17):
So, chris, where did he go finally?

Speaker 5 (40:18):
He went to Cleveland and it's weird because they
drafted a quarterback before himjust to kind of like spite him.
And then you see the coachesand the GM's face when they
drafted her.
It wasn't necessarily a face ofexcitement.
Yeah so my whole thing is, eventhough the NFL did seek out to
either humble him or humble Dionthing is, even though the NFL

(40:39):
did seek out to either humblehim or humble Dion, which I
think is a very bad move PR wiseby the NFL, because now
everybody's gonna compare everyrookie quarterback to what
Schroeder could be or whatSchroeder is gonna be, and again
you now just lit a fire underone of the more confident
players in the like in collegefootball.
So it's gonna be very excitingto see where his career comes,
like, goes from here.
But just watching the draft Iwas just in shock.

(41:02):
Like there was like four orfive teams.
I was like y'all need aquarterback, y'all are just in
spite of your team.
And I have never heard of TylerShuck until, you know,
yesterday.
I don't know what happened withNew Orleans and that, but that
was crazy.
Yeah, drafted a, but that wascrazy.

Speaker 4 (41:15):
You're after a 26-year-old guy who only started
20 games in college.
Yeah, that's wild yeah.

Speaker 3 (41:22):
That's wild.
Yeah, I can't believe thatthere were so many other places
that I thought he would go, andI'm shocked about the Steelers,
though.

Speaker 5 (41:32):
The Steelers.
The Steelers they got aquarterback in the sixth round,
Will Howard.
But it's like time and timeagain, and they were like the
Steelers were like, oh, we had agood visit and all this other
stuff, and then that just Idon't know, I don't know if it
was the GMs everybody just saylike, hey, we're just going to
wait to draft this guy so he canlearn a lesson.
But, if you're just doing thatin spite of your team, I don't

(41:53):
think that's good business forthe NFL.
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (41:55):
That's rough.
That's rough.
Well, let's transition to theCarolina Panthers.
All right.
So, man, you are both CarolinaPanther homers.
We got the Carolina Pantherfans in the house.
All right, come on, we areNorth Carolina.
All right.
So, diego, how would you ratethe Panthers' performance?

Speaker 4 (42:16):
A.
A performance from the carolinapanthers getting tetsa rule of
mcmillan in the first round, best receiver in the draft, and
then getting two edge rushers.
One of them's name is nick, theother one's name is princely.
I forgot their last names justkind of learn them a little
better.
But I've seen their highlights, watched them in game.
They're really good edgerushers.
They're going to help us a lot.
And, you know, got some otherpeople.

(42:36):
Got a receiver from Colorado, jimmy Horn Jr.
You know got a lot of othergood pieces.
You know Got a D-tackle.

Speaker 3 (42:43):
I do like Jimmy Horn Jr.
I like that.
I like that piece.
Admit to that.
Okay, what about you, Chris?

Speaker 5 (42:48):
I'm giving her the B-plus because we didn't get
corner help and that's been anissue, because again, we can
have all the pass rush that wecan have.
We're just relying on JC backthere and we already know how
Diego and me feel about JC.

Speaker 4 (43:02):
So it's like ah, we got JC and we got Mike Jackson
too.
He's good, he's pretty good.

Speaker 5 (43:07):
So we don't need anybody else, and the fact that,
like Tampa, just loaded up onlike two very good wide
receivers as well.

Speaker 4 (43:14):
Yes, they did, and JC was supposed to be so good that
we don't need any corner help.
We have JC.
He's supposed to be so good.
That's not true, we paid himlike he was top tier.

Speaker 5 (43:26):
Okay, and how often does he get hurt?
Like, let's just say, why do wepay him?
We paid him because we're theCarolina Panthers and we needed
to keep defensive talent.
However, we still neededanother corner, so it's a little
dicey.
So I would say b plus.
I love the additions to theoffense, I love us getting more
pass rush, but we really I justwanted at least like one quarter
and the safety we got is verygood hard hitting.

(43:48):
I appreciate that, but I feltlike just one more quarter for
depth would have been, wouldhave made us an a plus draft
yeah, yeah, I would have likedto have seen that, but but yeah,
I like Horn Jr, I like thatpick.

Speaker 3 (44:01):
But yeah, the others I'm going to have to see, I'm
going to have to see.

Speaker 4 (44:05):
Yeah, I expect this to be a more hard-hitting team
this year.
Like run defense is going to bereally good.
You know, short passing game weshould be able to cover, but
the long passing game I mean JCis and game and jc is known to
struggle in red zone, so we'llsee about that, okay well,
laguette did have, I think hehad surgery.

Speaker 3 (44:22):
So hopefully you know we'll be catching those long
balls and you'll be we drafted.

Speaker 4 (44:27):
We drafted a t-mac and we drafted horn jr.
So I think we can trade okay weget you might need to get rid
of them all right, all right, well, we will see.

Speaker 3 (44:37):
We will see.
Well, we can't wait for the nflseason.
The schedule is coming out in afew weeks so uh, yeah yes, yes,
may 12th, may 12th.
Can't wait for nfl, all right, well, uh, hey, man, chris.
Thank you, man.
We will be back with you onfriday diving deep into nba and,
uh, nfl, um, when we get back, man.

(44:58):
So we can't wait to see youthere.

Speaker 5 (45:00):
Let's see if the Lakers come back and win this.
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (45:02):
Yeah, more than anything, I'll really be waiting
for you regarding the Lakers.
So yes, yes.

Speaker 5 (45:08):
Many of us will be waiting for you.

Speaker 3 (45:12):
All right, cool, cool , all right.
Well, ladies and gentlemen, we,uh, in a minute, are about to
have speak, speaking of the nfl.
Speaking of the nfl, we areabout to talk to a hey, might be
the next uh, travis hunter, youknow, lockdown corner and, uh,

(45:32):
and and a great receiver rightwith blazing speed.
So, uh, we are going to talk toour guy, uh, jalen mickles, but
before we do that, we have alittle video that we are going
to play and then, when we comeback, our man will be joining us
on set, so we'll be right backcome on jaylen, come on jaylen,

(45:55):
come on jaylen, come on jaylen, come on, come on, come on, come
on come on, come on, come on,come on, come on come on, come

(46:24):
on, come on, come on, come on,come on, come on, come on come
on, come on, I'm not going tocatch him.
You're not catching him.
You're not catching them.
You're not catching them.
You're not catching them, you're not catching them.

(46:48):
Throw a flag on that.
Throw a flag on that.
All right, ladies and gentlemenfrom ravens croft, here in
Raleigh, north Carolina, putyour hands together for Jalen
Mickles, all right, all right, finally, man.

(47:18):
Welcome to the show, my man, thank you, thank you.

Speaker 15 (47:19):
Glad to have the opportunity here to speak with y
.
Finally, man, welcome to theshow, my man.
Thank you, thank you.
Glad to have the opportunityhere to speak with y'all man.

Speaker 3 (47:22):
Yeah, it's great to have you, man.
It's been a joy, you know, as adad to you know, see you grow
up, man, I've been watching youfor many years, since middle
school.
I've always been impressed byyou.
You've always just been greatand always been impressed by you
.
You've always just been beengreat, um, and uh, yeah, I,

(47:42):
diego knows it, everybody knowsit.
You know, I named you baby dionearly on, uh, because I I see a
lot in you, um, and youdefinitely have a great work
ethic and it's a pleasure tohave you here on the show.
But uh, diego, I'm gonna kickit to you, man, for the first
question jalen.

Speaker 4 (47:55):
So tell everyone a little bit about your journey
and how you fell in love withthe game of football.

Speaker 15 (48:00):
You know, it all started in the living room, man,
with my parents and me watchingthe NFL superstars on the field
on TV, and they realized that Iwas so focused in the game as a
four or five-year-old you knowand I was so focused in the game
and I wanted to be there oneday and started having fun with
the game, started catching theball, you know, yeah, started
having fun with the game, started catching the ball.

Speaker 3 (48:19):
You know, yeah, Nice, nice.
So again you play defensiveback and you play wide receiver.
Okay, what position would yousay you enjoy more, if any?

Speaker 15 (48:31):
I enjoy defensive back more, you know, picking the
ball off the quarterback andreturning it to the house, and
I've always loved playingdefensive back, especially in my
early days playing flagfootball, always having an eye
for the quarterback, seeing whathe's doing too.

Speaker 3 (48:42):
So yeah, okay, Well, you definitely take it to the
house many times, yep.

Speaker 4 (48:47):
Going into next season.
What part of your game are youworking on your hardest to
improve?

Speaker 15 (48:52):
I've been going to trainers with DB trainers having
my footwork ready and hipmovement and with DB trainers
having my footwork ready and hipmovement, and also being in the
weight room strength, strengthand conditioning coaches, you
know, helping me get my strengthup and for me on the field,
getting my condition up so Idon't get out of breath as
easily, you know, so I can playthe whole game all four quarters
, yeah.

Speaker 3 (49:11):
Yeah, yeah, because you're on the field the whole
time, so I know it definitelytakes a lot of endurance to do
that.
So who are some of the NFL oreven college players that you
may look to and maybe modelyourself after?

Speaker 15 (49:24):
Ever since middle school I always looked up to
Jalen Ramsey cornerback, even inhis Jacksonville Jaguars days.
You know he was always that man.
He could lock up anybody, anyreceiver he wanted to.
Even at his Los Angeles days hewas always that man, still top
in the league.
You know, and you know he wasalways that man, still top in
the league.
He was just always that guy whocould guard anybody.
And that's what I want to be.
I look up to him, I can seethat, yeah, I can see that.

Speaker 4 (49:47):
What's your mindset like going into a big game?
Are there any pregame ritualsor any music you listen to?

Speaker 15 (49:57):
I always have my beats on man, listen to rap,
music, music.
And when I do, in the lockerroom or even on the way to the
game, I always tell myself man, nobody, none of these people can
guard you.
You can stick anybody on the onthe field, whether they're tall
or faster than you.
I can always play with them, even play better than them.

Speaker 3 (50:10):
So yeah, yeah, now you go to ravenscroft.
You know it's very challengingschool, clearly, and you play
three sports at ravenscroft.
So you know is a verychallenging school, clearly, and
you play three sports atRavenscroft.
So, man, just how do youbalance?
And then in the summer, I knowyou're playing seven-on-seven in
your training.
You stay busy.
So how do you balance academicsand sports In?

Speaker 15 (50:31):
school I try to have all my homework done.
Go to my teachers, ask themmany questions on how I can get
better at this and then I gethelp with the homework.
Is asking many questions on howI can get better at this and
then I get help with thehomework.
And then during practice orafter practice, you know, I go
home, finish that homework andthen after that.
I mean it's just a seven-dayroutine, man, always going to

(50:51):
classes and teachers, you know.
So, yeah, they really help me alot man.
Yeah, yeah, so you have a greatsupport system.
Yeah, Okay, really helped me alot, man.

Speaker 3 (50:56):
Yeah, yeah, so you have a great support system.
Yeah, okay, very.

Speaker 4 (51:00):
So what are your personal goals for this upcoming
football season first season onvarsity?

Speaker 15 (51:06):
I want to have a great season, stat-wise, you
know, hopefully three to fourinterceptions, you know, and at
least two, three, fourtouchdowns, maybe as a starting
receiver, and I want to getlooked at by our coaches.
College coaches start gettingrecruited this year, so yeah,
man, that's my goal, I love it.

Speaker 3 (51:27):
I love it.
Speaking of goals, we'll getyou out of here and then we have
a question from the audiencehere.
But before we take our questionfor the audience, so we know
those are your goals for nextyear.
Just looking down the road, youmay or may not want to look too
far ahead, but, uh, do you haveany?
Uh aspirations beyond, beyondhigh school?
What's your aspirations later?

Speaker 15 (51:46):
I want to go d1.
Hopefully uh play football andhave a great career of all three
or four years in college andthen hopefully make it to the
nfl.

Speaker 3 (51:55):
All right I love it.
I love it any in any particular.
I know you can't pick your teamin the NFL, but any team you
want to play for.

Speaker 15 (52:03):
Carolina Panthers.
Man, there we go.
I've been in love with them formany years, many years.

Speaker 3 (52:07):
There you go.
So here it is Carolina Panthers.
I know they've been strugglingfor years, but when they get
this man, they may finally getover the hump and get to the
Super Bowl.
Yes, yes, so we're going tospeak that.
We're going to speak that intoexistence, my man, yep, yes,
that's what we want to see, allright?
Well, we have a question fromthe audience.

(52:27):
Debbie.

Speaker 7 (52:29):
Hello Jalen.
Hi when did you realize thatfootball was more than just a
sport for you?

Speaker 15 (52:38):
Around the age of going into seventh, eighth grade
, I took it more serious.
I took it more serious as asport because I knew it was more
hard work and my parents toldme that if you want to go D1 or
wherever you want to go, youhave to put more work into it
than just playing the game.
Go to school, get good grades,go in the weight room, get your
strength up and really practiceto build your craft.

(53:01):
You know, and yeah, that's what.
That's what I found out.

Speaker 7 (53:05):
I have a follow up question.
I know you have bigger dreamsof wanting to go to the NFL, so
what do you think you couldpossibly bring to the table that
will make you stand out againstsome of the other recruits?

Speaker 15 (53:19):
You know I'm going to be a lockdown corner man.
No one can get past me.
I'm going to shut down anybody.
You want me to shut down.
You know I'm faster, I havebetter hands.
I can pass up on them if I wantto, you know.
So yeah, Confidence is key, soI believe in you.
Yeah, thank you Thank you.

Speaker 3 (53:43):
I love that.
Confidence is absolutely key.
I love it well.
Hey, jalen man, it was apleasure having you here.
Thank you, uh, we're rootingfor you, and you have many more
fans that'll be following younow and following your career.
Okay, thank you.
All right, best of luck to you.
Put your your hands togetherfor Jaylen, all right, all right
.
Good job, mike, we'll be rightback.

(54:40):
All right, welcome back, ladiesand gentlemen.
Wow, so yeah, that was man, funto talk to your teammate there.
Man, yeah, it was fun.
Man, yeah, proud of Jalen, sowe'll be looking out for him.
So that's one of the coolthings about picking pros is,
years from now, when you seepeople go on to do big things.
You know this will be the first, many times.
This will be the first time yousee them, so that's going to be

(55:01):
cool, all right.
Well, we are bringing togetheranother great guest.
As you just saw in the promo,we have a gentleman here that
has been everywhere, has workedfor many, many teams in
professional sports, has been toall the stadiums.
In Major League Baseballthere's not many people that can
say they've been to everysingle stadium.
So this gentleman has flown infrom Florida to visit with us.

(55:25):
Put your hands together for MrStuart Marshall.
Stuart, what's going on, sir?

Speaker 14 (55:41):
Hey how we doing.

Speaker 3 (55:42):
Man, man, it is great to have you so.
Wow, we have been linkedtogether for a while, I believe.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
Didn't you win the first MarchMadness bracket?

Speaker 14 (55:55):
that we had, I believe.
So I host one myself, and Ilike joining others when I'm
invited.
So, sounds about right.

Speaker 3 (56:03):
Yes, that is great.
Yes, so not only you knowyou've been to all the baseball
stadiums you traveled all overthe world but you also know your
college basketball for sure forwinning that bracket, all right
.
Well, we definitely want tohear.
Since you've been to everysingle stadium, we wanted to get
your top 10.
But within the top 10, becauseI know that was very hard for

(56:26):
you to put that list together.
Okay, so I believe you havethree honorable mentions, so why
don't you go ahead and I havethe graphics here so I can show
a graphic from each one whydon't you go ahead and take us
through these top 13?

Speaker 14 (56:43):
Sure, all right.
So I think number 13, we wentwith Petco Park.

Speaker 3 (56:48):
Yes.

Speaker 14 (56:49):
Are we doing PNC?

Speaker 3 (56:50):
Yeah, yeah, let's go, let's see PNC.
Yeah, okay.

Speaker 14 (56:54):
Yeah, pittsburgh, pennsylvania, you know
sharp-looking stadium.
They got the Roberto ClementeBridge in the outfield and a lot
of excitement out there rightnow with Paul Skeens big-name
up-and-coming prospect.
The Allegheny River out therein right field is quite a
highlight of that stadium and Idon't know if you saw the
highlight from last week.

(57:16):
Someone actually took him yardout there out of the stadium.

Speaker 3 (57:18):
Oh, wow no.

Speaker 14 (57:20):
So for big-name Paul , someone is able to take him
yard.
Yeah yeah, pittsburgh's verycool Kind of part of the edge of
the northeast right thereStarting to head towards the
Midwest, it's definitely one tocatch.

Speaker 3 (57:35):
All right, ok, all right, what's?
What's your next one?
Next honorable mention?

Speaker 14 (57:40):
We'll go Baltimore.

Speaker 3 (57:41):
Okay, all right, yep, baltimore Orioles Park.
Yeah, diego, we haven't been tothat stadium, but we walked
right by it.

Speaker 4 (57:49):
Yeah, we have.

Speaker 3 (57:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (57:50):
It looked like a cool stadium, got all the brick
around there.

Speaker 3 (57:54):
Tell us about that one, Stuart.

Speaker 14 (57:55):
Yeah, so old school stadium, a lot of history in
Baltimore there.
Yeah, it's an excellent town.
If you're into crab and somelocal eats, it's a sharp place
to be.
It is close to the DC area tooNot to bring in their stadium as
well, but there's plenty to doin that area there between DC

(58:17):
and Baltimore.

Speaker 3 (58:17):
Okay, all right, that's another.
And then what's your 11th nexthonorable mention?

Speaker 14 (58:23):
Yeah, so I do like Petco Park a lot.
You can't beat baseball inSouthern California.
There's always good weather outthere.
Yes, with a lot of these cities, there's plenty to offer
outside of just the stadium.
Got the San Diego's Hoos outthere and the beaches so a lot
of times too, with me me beinginto traveling it's not just

(58:43):
about the stadium, it's aboutjust the whole city experience,
and and san diego's got a lot tooffer.
Yeah, I did want to pick thatover the la stadiums yes even
the dodgers, they, they can havethe winning, but uh but,

Speaker 3 (58:57):
I think peco sharp yeah, peco, sharp diego, I know
that's.
That's your team.
Man, that's my team.

Speaker 4 (59:02):
Yep, happy to hear that, yeah and that's another
team man, that's my team.
Yep, Happy to hear that.

Speaker 3 (59:04):
Yeah, and that's another one that we walked by.
We were in town and theyweren't playing, but we walked
by it.
Oh, it looked gorgeous.
Yeah, yeah, okay, All right.
Well, let's get into your topten.
What's number ten?

Speaker 14 (59:14):
Yeah, so I went with San Francisco.
I think, being it being, it'shard to narrow it down to 10.
I said cutting out nine waseasy and then trimming it down
from 21 to 10 was difficult.
I went with San Francisco.
So a lot of historic home runsthere, going into the bay and
the fans chasing them down onthe kayaks, and all of that.

(59:37):
My dad brought home a shirtfrom the 2007 All-Star game, so
that was pretty cool.
I was there prior to all theway back when it was AT&T Park.

Speaker 3 (59:49):
Oh, that's right.

Speaker 14 (59:50):
Now I think it's got the same name as the Warriors
right with Oracle.

Speaker 3 (59:54):
That's right, yeah, their last one, yeah.

Speaker 14 (59:57):
So they're always flip-flopping.
Yeah, that's right.
Yeah, just pull the Coke bottleout in left field and the glove
.
Just some iconic memories.

Speaker 3 (01:00:09):
Yeah, okay, in that stadium, All right.
All right, so that's 10.
What's 9?

Speaker 14 (01:00:15):
So, contradicting to the jersey that I'm wearing now
, as I was introduced with theRed Sox jacket, I'm going to go
with the Yankees.
Ooh introduced with the Red Soxjacket.
I'm going to go with theYankees, ooh.
So been to the old one and thenew one.

Speaker 3 (01:00:25):
Yes.

Speaker 14 (01:00:26):
The new one's sharp.
You know, of course, that's anorganization that has a lot of
money.
Right.
They certainly crafted up agood ballpark there.
I always keep saying history, but that's one you know.
The Yankees go way back.
Monument Park is certainlyiconic.
They had it in the old stadium, they've got it in the new one.
Now I've got a highlight for acouple more food items.

(01:00:50):
This one in Yankee Stadium isthe steak sandwich with au jus.

Speaker 3 (01:00:54):
Okay.

Speaker 14 (01:00:54):
A little pricey being in New York.

Speaker 3 (01:00:57):
I bet About how much is it?

Speaker 14 (01:01:00):
It's got to be probably mid-20s what yeah?
Good gracious, it's got to beprobably mid-20s what yeah?
Good gracious, it's not likeMercedes-Benz Stadium with the
Falcons.
They do a good job with thefans about offering good prices.
Yankee Stadium not so much.

Speaker 3 (01:01:14):
Man, wow, okay, that's good to know.
I did not know that.
All right, okay, what's yournext one, stuart?

Speaker 14 (01:01:21):
Then I'm going to go with the Phillies.
Okay.
And the reason for that is it'svery like a tall stadium.
Yes, when you think stadium, like I mentioned the Dodgers
before, it kind of goes out alittle bit Right.
Yes, this one's kind oftowering.

Speaker 3 (01:01:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 14 (01:01:37):
I like the way that they have it set up there in
Philadelphia, with all of thestadiums and arenas being right
next to each other.
So you have Lincoln Financialthere, that's right.
And then where the 76ers andthe Flyers are playing.
It's cool having that, You'vegot to get a Philly cheesesteak.
I think that they have thecoolest mascot in the league
that Philly fanatic.

Speaker 9 (01:01:58):
Yeah, yeah, they do.

Speaker 14 (01:01:59):
Philadelphia is definitely one to catch, and you
know, close to Baltimore too, Alot of these you can knock out
at the same time, if you map outthe schedule, the right way,
that's a great point.

Speaker 3 (01:02:09):
That's a great point.
I have been to that one.
That's one of those in the topten that I have been to.
Okay, what's your next one?

Speaker 14 (01:02:17):
So then I'm going New York Mets.
So I did grow up in Connecticut, so I've had the ease of being
able to get to some of thesestadiums more often than not.
I knew it originally as SheaStadium, now it being Citi Field
.
Right.
Just seeing a new stadium verysimilar to Yankee Stadium.
You know money put into it.
The Big Apple's awesome Like ifyou have the opportunity to

(01:02:40):
check out New York City.

Speaker 3 (01:02:41):
Okay.

Speaker 14 (01:02:42):
You know you think about when they hit a home run.
The apple pops up in theoutfield.
It's a cool experience.
Let's check that out.
Not quite for yourself yet, being under 21, but they have a
good beer selection out there incenter field for all the adults
in the crowd.

Speaker 3 (01:02:57):
All right.

Speaker 14 (01:02:57):
So that's a must-have at the game, for sure,
yeah, okay.
Oh yeah, oh yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:03:00):
For sure, yeah, ok.

Speaker 14 (01:03:03):
And then this one.
I, I really prefer the top fivehere.
Yes, this one is easily a topfive.
Is the new Atlanta Stadium?
We talked about this on thephone.

(01:03:25):
Yes, just about.
Not necessarily the stadiumitself, but the surrounding area
.
Okay, um, they have restaurants, shops, they have places
similar to this where you coulduh all or do uh.
I think I was googling it beforeand it jogged my memory like a
uh, top golf simulator oh yeahso there's a lot of like
pre-game, post game items, andwhen you go in there, it's it's
one of the newer ballparks, yeah, so a sight to see for sure.
Atlanta's a really good sportscity.

Speaker 3 (01:03:46):
Yes, yes, absolutely.

Speaker 14 (01:03:48):
And it is one I kept all domes and roofs off of my
list, but that's one of thehotter stadiums that if you
think geographically, that onethat's going to be one of the
hotter ballparks For sure.
So choose the time of yearwisely.
Yeah, definitely, definitely Iknow that from Tallahassee,
being at those games.

Speaker 10 (01:04:09):
It was pretty hot today too.

Speaker 14 (01:04:10):
I was at the NC State game.

Speaker 3 (01:04:12):
Right, right, yeah, you were, you were All right.
Okay, what's your now we'regetting is this number four,
Number five.

Speaker 14 (01:04:25):
Oh okay, five, five, oh okay, okay.
So, uh, minnesota target fieldokay, uh, so that was really
cool.
Uh, I was out there last april.
I got to see two of my favoriteteams, the twins and the red
socks.
Yes, that's a nice stadiumthere, aesthetically with the
limestone.
Um, it's a lot calmer out therein the midwest.
It's a different fan base.
They they're not going to havethe crazy fans as much that's
true.

(01:04:45):
It's a little bit more of justan honorable game out there.

Speaker 10 (01:04:49):
Right.

Speaker 14 (01:04:50):
But I had to put that one on the list.
That's one of my favorite teams.

Speaker 3 (01:04:54):
It made top five.
Yeah, they have some nice ballbecause they have the beautiful
Vikings stadium there.
So, yeah, they've got some nicestadiums there.

Speaker 14 (01:05:03):
Man yeah, yeah, they split off.
It used to be the Metrodome, Iwas there years ago and for all
the Minnesota fans I think itwas bittersweet to let that go.
But like you just said, there'stwo beautiful ones out there.

Speaker 3 (01:05:15):
Right, you sure do.
Okay, all right, now we've gotnumber four.

Speaker 14 (01:05:20):
Colorado.

Speaker 3 (01:05:22):
Oh.
That's of course that's astadium that was beautiful.

Speaker 14 (01:05:27):
You know, colorado, denver it's a hard state to pass
up, whether you're going forsports or traveling Right?
So yeah, that's one.
Choose the time of the yearwisely.
I was there early on and it wascold and it hailed before the
game.
So you don't get thateverywhere.

(01:05:47):
No, not at all.
I've heard from some friendsthat they had a similar
experience.
If you're there this year, theseason kicked off at the end of
March.
If you're there, march, april, you might be looking at a cold
one.
Come summertime, with theelevation, you could be looking
at a game in the 90s or maybepushing 100.

Speaker 3 (01:06:02):
Shockingly, wow, wow.

Speaker 14 (01:06:04):
But gorgeous views.
The Rocky Mountains areincredible.
They have the right field porchway up for again, the 21-plus,
the Coors Light and all of thegood stuff from Golden Colorado
that they have to serve there.
It's a different taste when youget it for real out there in
the Rockies.

Speaker 3 (01:06:23):
Okay, You'll have to definitely check that.
I know, Diego, when you werepulling the stadiums because you
weren't familiar with that one, that really got your attention.

Speaker 4 (01:06:31):
Yeah, it did.
I wasn't expecting that, but itlooked really good yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:06:37):
Yeah, we'll have to catch that one now.
Yeah, because we've beencatching one or two stadiums the
last few years.
Yeah, so we'll have todefinitely catch some this
summer.
All right, okay, all right, nowwe're getting into the top
three.
Top three, so what's numberthree?

Speaker 14 (01:06:50):
So I'm glad that you said that you were shocked
about Coors Field.
So this one shocked me was theCincinnati Reds Great American
Ballpark.
Wow, one of the first, but thisone was actually my last, so I
was able to make it there lastyear as well and really cool
views another river.
You don't even realize it, butI guess if you hit it far enough

(01:07:12):
, which would be impossible, youcould hit it into Kentucky from
there.

Speaker 8 (01:07:15):
Man.

Speaker 14 (01:07:16):
Yeah, it's a cool stadium.
They have a lot of history inthat organization.
The gift shops are very nice, wow, yeah, I was just pleasantly
surprised.
I mean, it's one that I wouldlike to go back soon and it
sounds like I might be going upin August for a game.
I've got a friend going up andI might tag along for that trip.

(01:07:37):
Nice, I would definitely putthat one near the top of your
list.

Speaker 3 (01:07:41):
Yeah, I never would have thought that one.
So yeah, you're definitelyeducating us on that.

Speaker 14 (01:07:46):
You know again, I think that there was a reason
why I had it last, and now Iwould certainly move it up the
list.

Speaker 3 (01:07:51):
For sure.
Okay, all right, now number two.
What's the number two?
Your second best ballpark inmajor leagues.

Speaker 14 (01:07:58):
So I think these top two have to get reserved for
the classics.
So so I think these top twohave to get reserved for the
classics.
So Wrigley Field, oh man, I waswatching a highlight earlier
today and it's a good reminder.
Go in the summer, when the Ivyhas a chance to grow and you're
not looking at a dead wall.
You want to see some true greenout there.

Speaker 10 (01:08:16):
Right.

Speaker 14 (01:08:17):
But classic scoreboard.

Speaker 3 (01:08:19):
in the outfield they have some seats that are just an
iconic thing outside of thestadium on a building, they have
those condos, they haveresidences over there and the
rooftops over there.
That's one of the otherstadiums in the top ten that I
have been to years ago.
Matter of fact, I think I wasthere before they put the lights

(01:08:39):
in, because they didn't havelights back in the day, so it
was a big deal when they hadlights.

Speaker 14 (01:08:45):
I had that on my list about saying to go for a
day game.
I saw them play the rivalCardinals there.
That was one to go to.
There's a restaurant outside ofthe stadium in right field
called Bleachers, which I guessis a pretty iconic stop if
you're going to the game, for apre-game, post-game snack.

Speaker 3 (01:09:04):
Okay, good, good, all right.
And then, hey, number one.
What is the number one ballparkto go to?
If you could not go to anyother park, we're picking one.
What is the top ballpark to goto in Major League Baseball,
Stuart?

Speaker 14 (01:09:18):
So I'm going Fenway.
Okay, I think it's awesome.
I've never watched the gamefrom on top of the Green Monster
, yeah, but yeah, it's supercool, the fan base.
I'm sure the Yankee fanswouldn't attest to it, right,
but yeah, it's a special place.

Speaker 8 (01:09:37):
Yeah, okay.

Speaker 14 (01:09:38):
That's one I grew up going to probably the most
games there.
Uncle was a season ticketholder.
I've caught a World Series gamethere before.

Speaker 3 (01:09:45):
Oh, my goodness.

Speaker 14 (01:09:47):
So that one's definitely a memorable one to go
to with family.

Speaker 3 (01:09:50):
Okay.

Speaker 14 (01:09:50):
Close to home.
I know I get to see family andfriends every time I'm up there
in New England.

Speaker 3 (01:09:55):
Wow, so been to a World Series game there in
Fenway.

Speaker 4 (01:09:59):
That's really cool.

Speaker 3 (01:09:59):
Yeah, diego, I think you had one more question for
Stuart.

Speaker 4 (01:10:11):
Oh, yeah, so.
So who would you?

Speaker 14 (01:10:12):
say is your baseball goat?
Oh, the baseball goat.

Speaker 4 (01:10:14):
So I would say so the greatest of all time not
necessarily my favorite player,so the greatest Okay the
greatest In my lifetime?

Speaker 14 (01:10:26):
Oh, probably.

Speaker 6 (01:10:28):
I would say it's got to be someone that I would see.

Speaker 14 (01:10:30):
So I would go, probably contrary to the Red Sox
.
I would probably pick a Yankee.
I'm going to go with DerekJeter.

Speaker 3 (01:10:38):
All right.

Speaker 14 (01:10:40):
That guy was a class act.
He stayed with the organizationthroughout everything.
I would say, maybe likewise CalRipken.
All right, that guy was a classact.

Speaker 8 (01:10:42):
He stayed with the organization throughout
everything.
Yes.

Speaker 14 (01:10:43):
And I would say, maybe likewise Cal Ripken.
Those guys were very honorableto their fan bases and put up
the numbers.
You think about a guy like CalRipken.
He went all those games withoutsitting out one.

Speaker 3 (01:10:56):
Right, yes, the Iron man.

Speaker 14 (01:10:57):
So I think that those guys are.
It would be a close tie forfirst.

Speaker 10 (01:11:02):
Yeah, wow.

Speaker 14 (01:11:03):
Yeah, I'd tip my cap to both of them.
But, yeah, it's been a pleasureto just see some of these guys
over the years and guys thathave made Hall of Fame campaigns
.
I've been to Cooperstown beforeand, yeah, hopefully a lot more
memories to come.
We've got a new stadium comingup in Vegas and then, I'm living

(01:11:23):
in greater Tampa right now.
I've been watching some outdoorbaseball while they figure out
what they're doing on my way.

Speaker 3 (01:11:30):
Yeah, man, Well, yeah , we're looking forward to
tagging along with you to a gametomorrow and, yeah, you are a
true sports fan.
You are a true sports fan.
And then also for you to be aRed Sox but be able to say Derek
Jeter, that says a lot aboutyou, and I'm repping the Rays

(01:11:53):
shirt today.
That's right.

Speaker 14 (01:11:54):
Taylor Walls.
He went to Florida State andhe's repping our university well
, yeah, sure is Well, stuart, weappreciate you, you.

Speaker 3 (01:12:03):
We appreciate you making the trip here from
florida.
We appreciate all the love andsupport of the channel and we're
looking forward to doing muchmore with you in the future.

Speaker 14 (01:12:11):
My man let's do it.

Speaker 3 (01:12:12):
Yeah, looking looking forward to that game tomorrow
yes, blue devils hokies allright, let's go, let's get it
all right.
Ladies and gentlemen, put yourhands together for stewart
marshall.
Oh, ladies and gentlemen, putyour hands together for Stuart
Marshall.
Alright, alright, appreciate it, man.
Thank you.

(01:12:41):
Alright, Now you know what.
All right, Now you know what.
We actually have a huge momentcoming up.
But there was a question fromthe audience about the Texas
Rangers stadium.
There was a question there.
Can we get Stuart to come upwith the mic and just address
that?
Go, come on up, Stewart, maybeup here.

(01:13:03):
There was a question.
Yeah, Dwayne Thompson askedwhere would Texas Rangers
stadium rank?

Speaker 14 (01:13:11):
So I was there two years ago and for that I looked
it up, it is actually the neweststadium, 2020.
I tried to see all angles ofthe ballparkpark and I just
wasn't that big of a fan of it,unfortunately.
Um, again, I think to have thethe claim to fame, you have to
go see them all.
But, uh, there were some viewsout there in right field that

(01:13:34):
you couldn't even see thewarning track, unfortunately.
Okay, um, super tall stadium, there's a lot of angles that you
can't see the game as as goodas you would want to.

Speaker 3 (01:13:43):
Um, and and now, and with that, and this is so texas
anyone that's been to texas, this is a very texas.
Diego, okay, that's a brand newstadium, okay, and there's
angles where you can't see right.
But, diego, what stood outabout you, about the texas
rangers stadium?
Because we were.
We were there this past summeryeah, so they had.

Speaker 4 (01:14:04):
I saw they had the brand new stadium, of course,
right there, but then on theother side of the street they
had the old stadium.
That still looks really goodjust sitting there right there.

Speaker 14 (01:14:12):
Yeah yes, so.
So that that was one.
I uh, it was tough for me tonot make it to the old ballpark
there in Arlington my uh, my dadwould travel down to Dallas
quite a bit and he had caughtthat stadium a couple times.
I guess I wasn't able to getthere in time.
No, definitely a good community, good fans there.
Jerry World's right next dooras well, but yeah, that's one.

(01:14:35):
I don't know if I'd be rushingback necessarily.

Speaker 3 (01:14:38):
And what stood out to us is that they didn't even
tear the old one down, Like thelights were on and everything.
They had a perfectly goodstadium right next to the other
one and they're both justsitting there.

Speaker 14 (01:14:49):
Yeah, I'm not even sure if maybe one of the college
teams is playing there.

Speaker 3 (01:14:52):
Yeah, I don't know, I don't know.
Yeah, all right.

Speaker 14 (01:14:55):
Well, there's time to go back if they want.

Speaker 3 (01:14:57):
That's right.

Speaker 14 (01:14:58):
Maybe they could do like a retro game or something
like that, that's right, allright.

Speaker 3 (01:15:03):
Well, thanks again, stuart.
I just wanted you to answerthat question.
Thank you, right on, all right, all right.
Well, ladies and gentlemen, weare about to make history here.
We have a high schoolbasketball player that we've
been following, that we're proudof, lives in the Clayton
community and man, before webring him on, we have a quick

(01:15:26):
video and then we're going totalk to him, talk to his father,
learn more about their story, and then we're going to go ahead
and sign his letter of intentto his college.
But before we do that, let's goahead and play a quick video.

Speaker 6 (01:15:55):
To Mars Jordan and play a quick video.
You can play your bet with us,cause you know we're going with
them all.
I pick them like a pro global.
Try my ball, talk a pick androll.
We're going up the scoretouchdown.
This is not field goal.
We the winning team champions.
When you walk through the halls, you can play your bet with us,
cause you know we're going withthem all.
Yeah, this is a major play.

(01:16:17):
We do it big in a major way.
The end will be having the pickof the day.
We'll be right back.
Oh man Woo.

Speaker 3 (01:16:58):
I especially liked that one there, man, we got up
there and jammed it, that wasnasty, wasn't it?

Speaker 4 (01:17:02):
Yeah, it was tough.

Speaker 3 (01:17:03):
All right, diego, why don't you do the honors on this
one man?

Speaker 4 (01:17:05):
All right, now we got Southern Wake Academy
basketball star Jeremiah Henson.

Speaker 3 (01:17:18):
Hello, what's up my man?

Speaker 16 (01:17:21):
How you doing.

Speaker 3 (01:17:24):
Nice, nice, how you feel.

Speaker 16 (01:17:25):
I feel great, real excited.

Speaker 3 (01:17:28):
Yeah, yeah, man, this is great.
So, yeah, we've been followingyou for a while.
You know we've always lovedyour intensity.
You know you got that dog inyou and just bring a certain
presence to the game.
So I remember first time I'vetold you this, first time me and
Diego saw you play.
I remember making a comment youguys were about to play some of

(01:17:50):
the old heads, yeah and Ilooked at y'all.
I said, man, I think theseyoung guys are about to take it.
And you didn't even make eyecontact but you were like, yeah,
you thought right, yeah.
I said, ooh, tapping, you likeyeah, you thought right, yeah.
I said, oh, I like him, I likehim gotta be confident, that's
right, that's right, yes, yes.
So uh, man, congratulations man.
Um, why don't you go ahead andjust uh tell everybody a little

(01:18:12):
bit about your, your journey?

Speaker 16 (01:18:14):
so so far um, as a freshman I always had my dad
there with me, my mom.
They were always my biggestsupporters.
Started off at Water God, thentransferred to Clayton and then
it just soared from there andthen going into my senior year,
transferring mid-year.
It just made big adjustmentsand all that, but it was a

(01:18:38):
really great journey.
I really appreciate everythingthat's happened.
It just made me the characterof who I am today.

Speaker 4 (01:18:49):
I'm very happy.
All right, when did you realizeyou had what it takes to be a
college basketball player at thenext level?
Was there like a?

Speaker 16 (01:18:54):
specific moment or game.
Um, since I was young, I'vealways had that type of chip on
my shoulder, especially gettingit from my dad.
Um, he's been telling me sinceI'm young, since I'm like the
smaller guard and all that Ihave to do X, y, z, better than
the next man.
So I have to be better than thetaller guy, better than the
next guard.
So it just came down to whoreally wants it more.
And if I really wanted it, thenI had to believe in myself at

(01:19:16):
all times.
So it's not really like amoment, it's just clicking in my
head knowing what I could do.

Speaker 3 (01:19:22):
Yeah, yeah.
So tell us, Jeremiah man, whatwas the recruiting process?
Like I know, the landscape haschanged now as far as you know,
being able to play more years atcertain schools and whatnot but
just tell us a little bit aboutthe process and how it was for
you this past year.

Speaker 16 (01:19:41):
Very, I had to be very humble, keep my head down,
just stay in the gym at alltimes, because now different
coaches, different recruitingcoaches, they like to pick out
the portal, the transfer portal.
They like to pick Juco colleges, usually D3 and higher, just so
it makes it harder for the highschool guys.
But if you just stay humble, stay at it and stay in the gym

(01:20:02):
at all times and stay confident, then you always, it'll always
be good for you.

Speaker 4 (01:20:06):
Yeah for sure.
So, without revealing theschool yet, what were some of
the most important factors whenyou were looking for in a school
that fit for you?

Speaker 16 (01:20:15):
um, it was just.
I was trying to get somewherewhere I can play immediately,
make an impact and then be ableto just show people who I am and
show how I can provide on thefloor as a teammate, off the
floor as a character.
It's just.
It's all amazing, it's just Igot to be who I am.

Speaker 8 (01:20:35):
Yeah, yes, yes.

Speaker 3 (01:20:37):
Definitely yes.
Round of applause.
Round of applause.
Well, you know what, jeremiah?
Jeremiah, let's go ahead, because my next question is will
be more of a uh, a two-parterhere.
So, or for, for both of you,but let's go ahead and bring
somebody that I know has been amajor influence in your life and
has helped you.
Uh, you know, get to where youare right now.
Ladies and gentlemen, pleaseput your hands together for

(01:21:00):
Jeremiah's father, mr ChrisHenson.
All right, all right, thank youfor joining us, thank you for

(01:21:21):
having me.
Yeah, yeah, so it's great tohave you on here.
You know, we talked about, talked about this moment.
So, man, just tell us, as wetalk about this for a little bit
, tell me about the rides in thecar.
All right, tell me about therides in the car and just the
overall bond that the two of youhave.

Speaker 13 (01:21:37):
Well, first things first, everyone put your hands
together for Derek and Diego forthis amazing show.
I really appreciate you havingus.
As far as these car rides, man, sometimes they're good,
sometimes they're bad, but allthe time they're influential and

(01:21:58):
we create a lot of moments inthose car rides, a lot of things
that people don't see, theconversations that me and
Jeremiah have building up.
You know, maybe after a loss ormaybe after a win, there's
always an opportunity toencourage and give him that
solid foundation andunderstanding who he is,

(01:22:18):
understanding what he can bringto the game and understanding
that the world is going to knowwho he is very soon.

Speaker 3 (01:22:23):
Yes, that's right, I love it, love it, love it.

Speaker 4 (01:22:27):
How do you see your game translating to the next
level?
What are you excited to bringto your team?

Speaker 16 (01:22:34):
I'm a really good player, but I really want to
bring my defense.
I feel like every team needs adefensive player and my energy I
feel like my energy will pickup different players, pick up my
team, and then it will justimmediately impact the entire
game in general.

Speaker 3 (01:22:50):
Okay, yeah, yeah, he does have that doggone defense.
I love it, I love it.
I see you there slapping, slapping your leg, you know, and
getting ready.
Everybody knows that he'swatched him play, yes, yes.
So, jeremiah man, you know alot of great players.
They have that chip, you knowthey have that chip on their
shoulder.
So, man, just tell me aboutthat and tell me.

Speaker 16 (01:23:16):
What do you still have to prove at this next level
?
It's not even like proving todifferent people.
It's proving to myself, becauseI still know I can do it.
It's now to the point where thelights are on me and I have to
prove to everyone that I can doit.
It's about being confident, andas I'm confident in myself, I'm
going to show the entire worldwho I am.

Speaker 3 (01:23:36):
All right, all right, love it, yes, you will.

Speaker 4 (01:23:39):
So off the court.
What are you looking forward tomost in the next chapter of
your life?

Speaker 16 (01:23:44):
I really say, like the college experience, because
I'll be moving out the house.
I was joking, I'll be movingout the house.
I was joking, I'll be movingout the house and all that.
So like being with thosecollege teammates and then
living their lifestyle and thengoing to class and then just
being in that environment isjust going to be real fun and a
big change for me.

Speaker 3 (01:24:03):
All right, that's great, that's great.
Well, all right.
Ladies and gentlemen, themoment everyone's been waiting
for, man, are you ready to readyto make this official?
We're gonna bring the thecamera over here and, uh, I
guess you could make theannouncement and then sign you
ready to make it official?
Man, absolutely okay, I'll letyou do the you guys do do the

(01:24:24):
honors here, there we go.

Speaker 16 (01:24:31):
I will be committing to Central Carolina and Sanford
, north Carolina.
It's been a great opportunity.
They have been basically anextended home for me and my
family, and the coaches overthere are amazing and I can't
wait to get started.

Speaker 3 (01:24:48):
All right, fantastic, let's put our hands together.
All right, all right, let's goahead.
We'll slide that cup over tothe side and let's get the
camera over here and we'll getyou to sign that official letter
.
My man, yes, make a history.
Love it, love it history, loveit, love it there.

(01:25:16):
So, uh, dad, how do you feelman?

Speaker 13 (01:25:18):
Uh, it's a long journey.
Uh, it's a long time coming.
You got to understand that.
He's been working at this sincehe was five years old.
He was my ball boy when I wascoaching at Green Hope.
Um, he's been around the gamehis entire life.
This didn't happen by mistake, and this isn't the last door
that opens for him.
This is just one of many, and Ijust want everyone to know that

(01:25:46):
Jeremiah Henson is coming.

Speaker 3 (01:25:48):
That's right, yeah, I couldn't agree more.
And also, I believe you have a4.0 average.

Speaker 16 (01:25:55):
Absolutely Go ahead, guys, stay on the books.

Speaker 3 (01:25:58):
Yes, yes, so doing it on and off the court A lot of
times.
That's not highlighted enough, but, yeah, man, 4.0 average is
amazing and I know you work atit.
When I reached out this morning, you were already at the gym.
So, yeah, you're putting inwork.
Just keep that discipline.
We're proud of you.
This is just the next step andwe'll be following you, my man.

(01:26:20):

Oh, my bad.
Oh, online.
Okay, oh, this is from KevinThomas online.
Jeremiah, what are your corevalues for life now on and off
the court?
What are your core values forlife now on and off the court?

Speaker 16 (01:26:43):
Everything's a big adjustment.
So now that college work isgoing to be added to my schedule
, I maintain college.
I maintain off and on the courtbasketball, maintain family
friends.
I think everything's just goingto be a big adjustment for me,
but I feel like I can handle itall.
I think it's going to be realfun.
I think, since I got my dadwith me, he's going to be right

(01:27:05):
there with me and, of course, mymom in the crowd.

Speaker 3 (01:27:07):
That's right.
Everybody's going to be with me.
