So we got the men's final four, women's final four.
We're going to talk aboutcooper flag.
(02:07):
Since you know we are herecoming at you from cary, north
carolina.
We uh have to talk about cooperflag and duke his place in duke
history if they win thischampionship.
Where does he rank amongst thegreats?
We'll talk about that.
Uh, we'll go into the nba.
Oh man, we had.
We had a.
There was a game between the LALakers and the Golden State
(02:28):
Warriors last night.
Did you guys happen to see thatgame?
Speaker 6 (02:31):
I definitely did.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
I did.
Speaker 6 (02:33):
Yeah, it was a little
rough.
Speaker 4 (02:35):
A little rough, ok,
and anybody Laker fans or LeBron
fans, ok, all right.
Speaker 6 (02:46):
I'm a LeBron fan, but
fortunately there's a guy we
traded for that decided to foulbait instead of passing the ball
to the two guys that were hoton the team.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
So you know, we'll
see how that one goes there's a
guy named Anthony Davis who'splaying well for the Mavericks
right now.
Speaker 4 (02:57):
Yeah, he is he's
playing very well.
Too bad they don't have Kyrie.
It would be very interestingthey.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
They have a five-game
win streak, I think, oh my
goodness, yeah, they're heatingup a little bit.
Speaker 4 (03:08):
Yeah, they are.
It would be very interesting, but this should be in the
play-in, so who knows what noisethey make?
That would be hilarious, kyrieBlackham.
Speaker 6 (03:18):
Yeah, let's not be
too deep into it.
Speaker 4 (03:26):
It.
Duke hospital is not that good.
So we also will go into the NFL.
We're excited about that.
We'll talk about the CarolinaPanthers.
They are who they should takewith the number eight pick.
We will end the show with allof our NFL topics.
You guys are both sporting thePanther theme Diego, army T, so
check out the pick them proscomto get your latest Pick'em Pro
(03:48):
merch.
We got that representing thePanthers from our two Panther
fans here.
So y'all look good, rockingthat, rocking that.
We'll talk about Aaron Rodgersand a whole lot of other stuff.
So super excited, all right.
Well, let's get into it.
Let's get into our first topichere.
All right, cooper Flagg, getinto it.
Let's get into our first topichere.
All right, cooper flag and Duke.
So, fellas, where will Cooperfly?
(04:11):
Let's go ahead and assume Dukewins the championship.
All right, diego, duke wins thechampionship.
Where do you put Cooper flag?
Is it no brainer?
Top five, just go ahead andtake this one man.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
Obviously top five
Duke players.
If they win the championship hemight be the best ever.
It's hard to put him over guyslike Grant Hill, christian
Laettner and Bobby Hurley, because they're some of the main
guys on a team with twochampionships.
He's going to leave after thisyear, so he'd just have one.
(04:46):
I'm going to say number threeafter Leitner and Grant Hill,
but ahead of Bobby Hurley, ifthey win.
Okay, if he becomes one of thetop NBA players, face-to-face
the league, that could get himhigher, but just right after
this year I'd have to put him atthree.
Speaker 6 (05:04):
I would say it would
be three as well, but it would
be a 3A and 3B between him andJJ, because again what he meant
to.
Duke and also I'm not puttinghim over Grant Hill or Christian
Leighton.
I'm sorry, that's a little toomuch, a little too rich for my
blood.
You feel me, but again, what JJdid did as, again, one of the
better players in the acc andagain, with our reputation of
(05:27):
having players who are a bit notliked is the most friendly word
to say that.
But yeah, I did love hisrashness and how he played, so I
would definitely say that wouldbe how I rank it okay, okay,
yeah, and brand, I did see yourcomment there about, uh, j
williams.
Speaker 4 (05:43):
you can't forget him.
J williams is one of the one ofthe greats, for sure, jj Redick
, that was good for you tomention him, jay didn't win one,
though, so I think that'sthat's what I'd say yeah, yeah,
but then a lot.
And you alluded to this, diego, what you do after Duke also says
a lot.
So if, if Cooper Flagg goes onto become the face of the NBA,
(06:08):
that gives him a whole lot ofcredit coming back and that can
then elevate.
You know, hey, let's put okay.
So let's put Coach K in this, all right, because, would you
guys say, maybe silly question, would you say, coach K is number
one just as far as aura legacy.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
Yes, Okay, that's for
sure.
Number one just as far as auralegacy?
Speaker 4 (06:24):
Yes, for sure.
Okay, so Coach K is this?
So maybe a better questionmight be all right, 10 years
from now?
Okay, I don't know Coach K.
You know still, you know hereand everything still has his
aura.
But Cooper Flagg is the face ofthe NBA, unquestioned face of
the NBA.
Who has the most aura on campus?
Speaker 6 (06:45):
On unquestioned face
of the NBA who has the most aura
on campus.
It's still OK because for me.
I'm always a lineage personLike it's the house that the
place has been built.
Speaker 4 (06:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (06:54):
So, as much as I love
Cooper, coach K is the reason
why, like Cooper, would evenwant to go to Duke and want to
even play for the team.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
Yeah, that's what I
would say OK so yeah, I'm sorry.
Speaker 6 (07:03):
Mike Chizanski is
always going to be good money
with me.
I'm sorry, I agree.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
It will be closer
than a lot of people would think
, with him doing that.
Actually, a lot of people fromDuke of Cone's NBA have been
bust Marvin Bagley and someother guys.
Cooper, if he ends up becomingthat guy, it will be very close,
maybe even tied.
Speaker 4 (07:30):
Now, okay, you know
what this just hit me.
But this is where, again, myage and experience comes into
play.
It would be Cooper flagging.
It wouldn't even be close.
All right, I have a greatexample for you.
Michael Jordan, okay, you,michael Jordan.
Okay, when Michael Jordan leftCarolina, he wasn't Michael
Jordan, dean Smith waseverything to Carolina and Dean
(07:56):
Smith continued to have crazyorg.
It was called the Dean Dome.
Was it the Dean Dome when hewas still coaching?
Like it was crazy.
Dean Smith just had all the org, but Michael Jordan Dean Dome
Was it the Dean Dome when he wasstill coaching?
It was crazy.
Dean Smith just had all theaura, but Michael Jordan
becoming Michael Jordan afterthe fact he had so much to where
(08:17):
there was no bigger figure thanJordan.
So we are a very recency-biasedsociety and whatnot.
So, as great as his aura willalways be, if Flagg goes on to
do the things that some of usthink, you won't even be able to
touch it, jordan became thegreatest player ever.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
If Cooper ends up
becoming the greatest player
ever, sure.
But if he's just a face of theNBA, but still really good, it's
tied, but if everyone knowshe's going to be the greatest
player ever, then sure yeah,it's not a debate.
Speaker 6 (08:45):
We just said that
Cooper Flagg might be the
greatest player ever.
Speaker 1 (08:49):
I mean, I wouldn't
put it past him.
Speaker 6 (08:54):
Okay, all righty, got
like maybe 20 or 30 people
before.
Speaker 5 (09:00):
Let him get in the
league first, man let's not Let
him get in the league first.
Speaker 4 (09:04):
That's fair.
I see the lead, that's fair.
I see flashes.
That's fair, you see flashes.
Speaker 6 (09:10):
Okay, as a lebron fan
on here, I feel like that's
just last one's for mj.
Speaker 4 (09:15):
Like guys put the
brakes you know what, though,
and we'll we'll get to the men'sfinal four in a second, but to
stay on.
It's going to be so fun for me,as I get older, to watch all
the LeBron people hate on thenext generation of who comes up.
(09:35):
It's going to be so funny tohear the LeBron, whoever debate.
It's going to be very similarto the Jordan-LeBron debate now.
It's going to be so fun to hearall the people that are
delusional about LeBron, andthis is the thing that's going
to really make you mad, becausewhat's going to happen is like
you have to have lived througherrors to really know who people
(09:57):
are right.
So, like Jordan, you can go toYouTube and stuff like that, but
it doesn't really do it justice, because you had to have lived
through the magnitude of a hugegame, six and all that to really
get what he did.
Yeah, it's going to be the samething with LeBron, because we
all know LeBron is great, right, there's no as much as you know
me and Diego troll and whatnot.
We know LeBron is great,greatest.
(10:19):
You know, one of the greatestof all times.
But when you look at like skillwise, right, just imagine is,
especially with how long heplays, could you imagine the
next generation going back andlooking at youtube highlights of
lebron and going, okay, well he, he just played for 25 years,
but was he really all that?
yeah, he passed it he really hewasn't a great shooter.
(10:40):
He wasn't.
It's like I can all I canalready hear all the arguments
and then you'll be losing yourmind because you'll be like, no,
you can't just go to youtube, you had to have lived through it
and it's gonna be the samething a lot of people discredit
like jordan because he played sofar back a lot of a lot of
people now are like oh well, people back then were trash,
yeah, like yeah that's gonna befun to see I
Speaker 6 (11:01):
already resigned to
Wemmy and Jokic killing the game
.
Oh you know Wemmy's going tolisten.
I'm already like hey, it'sgoing to happen with one of
those two.
I'm just waiting for everythingto fully develop between those
two careers.
Speaker 4 (11:13):
Yeah for sure.
All right, well, that was fun, man.
Well, let's move on to men'sFinal Four here and let's talk
about, within this year, nil.
Alright, so NIL, we've got fournumber one seeds here for the
men.
We've got Florida and Auburnplaying.
So the men play tomorrow, womenplay tonight.
Can't wait for that Matter offact.
(11:33):
They just tipped off First game, just tipped off at 7 pm
Eastern here.
So, yes, yep, so can't wait forthat.
But we've got Florida andAuburn playing first, and then
we have Duke and Houston, oh man, and we're going to bring Breon
in a second and we're going totalk about those games.
But, diego, what's your take onNIL?
Has it eliminated mid-majorsfrom competing anymore in
(11:55):
college?
Speaker 1 (11:56):
I think mid-majors
will still be able to compete in
the tournament and get a fewwins.
But as far as Final Four makingdeep runs, like like some teams
in the past that might be over, like that might not be as
common they will be able to wina game or two but not go as far
as they have in years past.
Speaker 6 (12:16):
I think okay I would
say, like for mid-majors, you're
gonna need veteran squads whoare, like you know, at least
proven at this point, because, again, you're not going to be
able to attract, like all theselike high profile, like high
school players.
So that's going to be, you know, the difficult thing.
But if you're a team, that'syou know, then like gone through
a bunch of stuff and you'restill like are going to keep
(12:37):
pushing, that's what I think isgoing to happen.
But I, uh, it's.
I'm looking at all theseonesies, I'm like this is crazy.
Yes, yes, and everybody whopicked the brackets are like oh
well, you know we went againstour conventions, you know we
were trying to pick upsets andit's like you know it felt feels
inevitable at this point is.
That's kind of what's alarmingabout the change in basketball
(12:58):
and football as well yeah, andit has happened before.
Speaker 4 (13:01):
you know, we've had
four number one seeds make it to
the Final Four, so not thefirst time.
So is it more of a fluke or isthis how it's going to be?
But yeah, the mid-majors willdefinitely have to have players
that are more seasoned, but thething is, once they then show
out, they can enter the portaland then they're losing those
guys.
So that's kind of the argumentthe experienced guys are going
(13:28):
to want to go where they get themost money because they know
they're not going to nba rightaway, so they're trying to get
as much money in college aspossible.
Yeah, yeah, so that that'sdefinitely going to be tough for
the uh, the mid-majors to keepthese guys for sure.
So, with all the money beingthere, yeah, definitely,
definitely.
Okay, brandon, and said brandonsays might be unpopular,
unpopular, take, but you rootfor the big programs in Kansas.
Ok, better for college, ok, allright, brandon, yeah, you have
(13:50):
to expound on that a little morewhen we have you on at the end.
So, yeah, curious to hear alittle more about that, all
right, well, let's bring Brie onand let's actually dive into
who we've got for these finalfour picks here.
What's going on, brie?
Speaker 7 (14:07):
Hi, not much.
Speaker 4 (14:08):
All right, all right,
well, good to see you, as
always.
So yeah, we're here with themen's final four.
They're in San Antonio.
We had all number one seedshere and, man, I believe, I
believe somebody actually pickedall the number one seeds, that
was me.
Man that was definitely me.
Speaker 1 (14:29):
So I know I did.
Now did you as well.
I said on the King show Ichanged it to Michigan State.
On my bracket I have all oneseeds.
Speaker 4 (14:39):
Oh, that's
questionable.
You can check it.
So you got one.
So that sounds like you hedgedyour bet there.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
I did, but like what?
But what's written on mybracket, that's the one that
matters, that's the moneymaker.
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (14:53):
Yeah, I don't know.
I think I would go by what yousaid at Kings.
Yeah, I think so.
You think so?
Speaker 1 (14:59):
Watch when.
Speaker 4 (14:59):
I win the bracket.
What do you think, Bree?
Do we need to go about what hesaid at kings?
Yeah yeah, I think so.
I think we need to go aboutthat, all right.
So, brie, uh, let's go withthese uh matchups here.
So we've got florida auburn.
Does auburn have any chanceagainst florida?
Speaker 7 (15:21):
uh, yeah, they're
gonna to beat Florida.
Speaker 4 (15:24):
What.
Speaker 7 (15:24):
What?
Yes, I have Auburn winning itall.
Speaker 4 (15:28):
Oh man, all right,
okay, you got them winning it
all.
Speaker 7 (15:33):
Yeah, I feel a little
risky, but I like this.
Speaker 4 (15:37):
Yes, yes, now you
know they have to be probably
the most.
I don't know if I should saydisrespected, they are seasoned,
but they have to be the most.
I don't know if I should saydisrespected, they are seasoned.
They have to be the most.
I'll say underrated, they haveto be the most underrated number
one overall seed ever.
They're the number one overallseed as far as for the
tournament goes.
(15:58):
There's not many people thatare like, if you did a poll of
people right now, I'd say maybe10% of people right now, I I'd
say maybe maybe 10 percent ofpeople would say auburn at this
point.
Yeah, because it's gonna beduke and duke and um, florida
heavily right.
Then houston would be that nexttier and then auburn.
So we'll, we'll see there.
(16:18):
All right, okay, so you gotauburn winning it all.
And then what about the, theDuke?
And well, you know what?
Let's stay with that Diego whoyou got with Auburn.
Speaker 1 (16:28):
Auburn, florida.
I'm going with all no Florida.
Okay, you got Florida.
Florida, okay, I'm sure youhave the pick right now.
Speaker 6 (16:35):
That's a good job.
Yeah, okay, was it differentsomewhere?
Speaker 4 (16:39):
else, it's Florida,
it's Florida.
It's Florida, man, all right,it's Florida, all right.
So we're staying with Florida.
What about you, chris?
Speaker 6 (16:44):
I would stay with
Florida as well.
That Texas Tech game and howthey came back in the fourth
quarter really moved me, justseeing how, again, during all
the adversity and they justlocked in on defense, even when
their shots weren't falling, they still had faith in it.
And, yeah man, they got one ofthe most clutch players I've
ever seen.
So yeah, walter.
Speaker 1 (17:03):
Clayton.
Yes, yes, walter Clayton.
Speaking of Walter Clayton, hewent to a mid-major and then
transferred.
Yes, he went to Iona.
Speaker 4 (17:10):
Yes, yes, great point
, Great point, yeah, absolutely
Okay.
So yeah, I have Florida as well, for sure.
Okay, so yeah, bre, bre, oh man, you're're gonna have some big
(17:31):
time bragging rights, if I just,if they beat florida, but if
they win the whole thing oh yeah, you're gonna be looking good
on that, okay.
Speaker 7 (17:33):
So what about duke
houston?
Who do you have on that brie?
Well, duke, because, justbecause super flag is really
good I don't know, I uh yeahokay, you don't seem too excited
about that, so yeah well, because if they do and if auburn
wins, then I don't know ifAuburn would beat Duke.
Speaker 4 (17:46):
Okay.
Speaker 7 (17:47):
I got that.
Speaker 4 (17:49):
All right, diego.
Silly question, duke Houston.
Speaker 1 (17:55):
We all know it's
going to be Duke?
Speaker 5 (17:57):
I don't even have to
say anything.
Speaker 1 (17:59):
It's just about how
much are we going to win by?
That's really the thing.
Speaker 6 (18:03):
I don't think, duke,
but I pray that this is another
Detroit Lions.
It's just about how much are wegoing to win by?
That's really the thing.
Okay, I don't think, duke, butI pray that this is another
Detroit Lions thing that we havehappened again.
Speaker 1 (18:10):
It's like oh, it's
right, how much are we going to
win?
And then we get you know.
That's all I'm saying, that'sall.
Speaker 6 (18:16):
I'm saying I just
don't want to have a repeat of
that.
Speaker 4 (18:22):
That's why I'm like
Duke man, that was bad, that was
bad, yeah.
Well, hey, you know I'm goingHouston, okay, so I picked
Houston to win this.
I picked Houston to win it all, okay, so I'm still looking good
here.
Houston has that defense, oh mygoodness.
And what I worry about, ifyou're pulling for Duke, what
(18:44):
you need to be concerned aboutis how Carolina and how some
other teams put some reallytight defense on Duke and came
back strong in the second halves.
So if those teams put defenseon them and had them throwing
the ball all over the place, what in the world are they going
to do against that Duke?
Speaker 1 (19:03):
I got a question for
you, I mean against Houston.
How many times do we beatCarolina?
This year, you beat them atleast three times.
Speaker 4 (19:11):
You beat them three
times, we beat them three times.
Speaker 1 (19:14):
So I don't think that
should be your example here.
Okay, all right, okay.
Speaker 4 (19:18):
Good point.
But again, I've seen but I'duse that as a good example
because that is a much lesserteam and you struggle with their
defense.
So if you struggle withCarolina's pressure, just wait
until that Houston footballsquad shows up and puts their
defense on you.
Oh man, they're going to be allup in your chest.
Speaker 1 (19:39):
We got the D.
We got the D and the O.
Speaker 4 (19:42):
OK, you got bailed
out because she had that injury
last year, but you're notgetting bailed out this year.
Speaker 1 (19:47):
We are much better
this year.
Speaker 4 (19:50):
We didn't have Cooper
last year, and so are we.
We've got offense.
Now we can shoot threes.
Speaker 1 (19:55):
Now we can shoot
threes too, All right.
Speaker 4 (19:59):
We are going to see.
It's going to be a showdowntomorrow night, oh man, about 11
o'clock y'all, we're going tohave to call the authorities.
We're going to have to do awellness check.
You may have to do a wellnesscheck on Diego.
So our dog Kirby, our supportdog Kirby, might be making an
appearance.
Speaker 1 (20:15):
I'll be right here.
I might come to the studio.
Speaker 4 (20:20):
The support dog may
be making an appearance.
So, bree, we have a lot to beproud of you for.
For one, you have done a greatjob interviewing and tracking
down a lot of athletes, andwe're going to take a moment to
highlight that.
So, but before we do that, wewant to congratulate you on
(20:40):
being accepted into Grand CanyonUniversity.
So congratulations to you, thank you, yes, yes, we're very,
very proud of you for that.
Uh, they have got a gym and weknow you're going to continue to
go on and do many great things.
So we're proud of you for that, first and foremost.
Second of all, you've alreadydone several interviews.
(21:00):
Some are being edited right now.
We have one that is out rightnow with Eric Priest.
He's 15 and 0 boxer.
I tell you what.
We're going to play a threeminute clip from that interview
so everyone can get familiarwith your interviews and what's
to come.
So we're going to play a threeminute clip from that.
But why don't you maybe justtell us a little bit about Eric
(21:21):
and who he is, to kind of leadus into this?
This clip of my sports journeywith Eric yeah, of course.
Speaker 7 (21:27):
So, eric, he's really
inspirational just the way he
talks.
If you listen to him, you youwould just get inspired by that.
And he's a really good boxer.
I mean, he's 15 and 0.
He fights under Oscar De LaHoya.
Yeah, I mean, he's a reallygood guy in the interview.
I think shows for itself allright, fantastic.
Speaker 4 (21:47):
Well, let's go ahead
and go into it.
I'm gonna fire up this clip, enjoy.
You can see the full interviewon our youtube channel.
Just go into my sports journeyand watch the full interview.
Speaker 7 (21:58):
But we're gonna go
ahead and play this three minute
clip and we'll be right backhey guys, it's brown with pick
and pros and you're watchingEpisode 3 of my Incredible
Sports Journey.
I had the pleasure of sittingdown with 15-0 boxing champion
Eric Priest.
I hope you enjoy.
(22:51):
We'll be right back so when youstepped into the ring for your
first main event in January, that must have been a huge
milestone for you.
How did it feel to carry theweight of the attention and that
pressure on your first mainevent?
Speaker 2 (23:04):
You know I've always
said pressure is a privilege.
Um, so, to carry that weightand to be able to have the
opportunity to be my first mainevent, um, I would say, you know
it's like an honor.
You know what I mean.
I feel like a lot of peoplewould, um, like kill for that
opportunity.
You know what I mean.
Like I mean a lot of people wantto view pressure and things as
(23:25):
like a bad thing, but to me it'slike what an opportunity.
You know, it's like what youknow, like this is what you
asked for.
And so, um, to have theopportunity to have high
expectations of myself or haveother people have high
expectations of what I can do,and I knew, going into it, it
was going to be a hard fight andthe guy, um, you know, with a
20 and 2 record, that's, it'spretty good and, uh, I was all
(23:48):
right.
Well, you know, I think I don'tknow, like I said, what a
privilege.
So I don't know, fresh pressureis a pressure can either make
you or break you, and I preferto let it make me what are your
ultimate goals in boxing?
Speaker 7 (24:00):
do you see yourself
going for world titles or do you
have other aspirations for thecareer?
Speaker 2 (24:05):
sport right now, like
my goal, my mindset, everything
that I'm doing.
You know, I'm about to go topractice right after this
interview, like for absolutelyno reason at all.
I just fought, like three weeksago.
I don't have to, you know, andit's just like just because, uh,
yeah, like I want to win aworld title.
That's just always been thegoal.
I want to at one point say Iwas the best in the world.
That's something, not somethingboxing.
(24:26):
If I can impact thousands, notmillions, on the way up doing
that, that would be pretty cooltoo.
I would like to utilize winninga world title to become the face
of Korean-American sports in asport where it's very saturated
with Latinos andAfrican-Americans.
Winning a world title to becomekind of the face of Korean
American sports, uh, in a sportwhere it's very saturated with,
(24:47):
like, latinos and AfricanAmericans it's like there's not
too many Korean people in thereso, to be able to represent my
culture and, um, kind of act asa front runner for a lot of kids
that may be wanting to take thesame path as me, um, and kind
of trailblaze, that that'd bepretty cool.
So, yeah, wanting to take thesame path as me, um, and kind of
trailblaze, that that'd bepretty cool.
(25:08):
So yeah, first step win worldtitle.
Everything else, I guess, willkind of fall in place afterwards
all right.
Speaker 4 (25:13):
Yes, yes, all right.
So great job, brie, great job,and there's many more that
you're working on.
I believe you had an interviewyesterday with the nfl player.
You want to tell us about thatone.
Speaker 7 (25:24):
Yes, I do so.
Yesterday I had the pleasure ofinterviewing Will Hernandez.
He's a defensive lineman forthe Cardinals and that interview
was really really good, so I'mexcited for that one to come out
.
He's super, super nice andeveryone's so welcoming there,
so he has some pretty goodanswers for some things and I
think you guys will be reallyimpressed with it.
Speaker 4 (25:44):
Had some pretty good
answers for some things and I
think you guys will be reallyimpressed with it.
All right, good, good, we can'twait to.
Can't wait to see that one.
So great job, thank you, allright.
Well, let's move on to our nexttopic.
We've got the women's finalfour OK, so that is actually
going on right now.
(26:04):
We've got South Carolinaolinaplaying texas right now right,
okay, all right.
So feel free, brandon, oranyone, to kind of keep us
updated on what's going on withthat throughout the show here.
So I'm hoping, because I gotsouth carolina going.
I'm nervous because theythey've been looking shaky,
they've barely been winning.
But uh, brie, who do you havein the south carolina texas game
?
Speaker 7 (26:22):
um, I have texas
mainly because I feel like they
have more drive, because it'stheir first time in the South
Carolina-Texas game.
I have Texas mainly because Ifeel like they have more drive,
because it's their first time inthe Final Four since 2003.
That's like 22 years ago, whichis kind of crazy.
So I feel like they have moredrive and, like you said, I mean
South Carolina kind of likebeen iffy a little bit lately,
but yeah, I chose Texas.
Speaker 4 (26:43):
Okay, all right.
What about you, diego?
Speaker 1 (26:46):
Yeah, I'm going with
South Carolina.
I mean they got a ton ofexperience, good coaching, and
yeah, I just think they're goingto have what it takes to just
win in the big games.
They got the experience.
Speaker 4 (26:57):
I think they'll pull
it out, and I know they're in
the SEC so they've played, they've already played, they're
familiar with each other they'veplayed, they've already played,
they're familiar with eachother.
How about you, chris, uh us.
Speaker 6 (27:07):
Oh well, south
carolina, as well, south
carolina sorry okay, folks, butlike yeah I'm still, um, yeah,
so rocking with don staley andall the talented people that
they have down there.
I'm just really scared becausethey get matchups that they have
played they're like one and oneon the season to like it was
like a coin flip to decide whowas like the SEC championship,
so that was like the whole thing.
So that's why I'm a little bitmore nervous.
(27:30):
So I'm picking South Carolinabecause of the experience, but I
don't know.
Speaker 4 (27:34):
Yeah, we're all just
pulling for Don Staley, I think
to be honest.
So we were very nervous aboutit.
Brandon said, yeah, texas is up15-11 right now, so yeah it.
Speaker 7 (27:47):
Brandon said, yeah,
texas is up 15, 11 right now.
So yeah.
Speaker 4 (27:49):
So, brie, we need the
, we need the island.
Uh hat in the island shop onthe island for like two games,
so we need to bring that back.
All right, so what about thenext one?
We've got um UCLA and, uh,who's UConn?
Yes, yes, uconn, uconn, yes, yes, ucla, uconn.
Who do you have in that Bri?
Speaker 7 (28:06):
Okay, dawn was a
tough one.
I don't want to be on theisland again, I'm just kidding.
I chose UConn just becausePaige, she's like dominating
right now, um, but also lauren, bets on ucla is also dominating
for both their teams right now.
So it's really.
It was a close call for me, butI chose uconn yeah, okay, yeah,
(28:28):
I think smart money's probablyon uconn.
Speaker 4 (28:31):
A lot of people have
them winning at all.
How about you, diego?
Speaker 1 (28:35):
yeah, I'm gonna go
with uconn.
Um ucla, they're a good team.
They got their 6-7 center.
That's going to be tough forthem to guard.
But UConn, they got Paige, theygot good coaching over there,
so I think they have the edge inthis one.
Speaker 6 (28:52):
I hear UConn as well.
Paige has been losing her mindrecently.
I just want to see her.
As much as I have been rude forDon, I do want to see page go
out with a bag, just justbecause yeah yeah, I'm.
Speaker 4 (29:06):
I'm pulling for
though I picked uconn.
I had uconn south carolina.
Like a lot of people in thechampionship, I'm pulling for
ucla.
I hope ucla can get the updatebecause I don't want to see
uconn.
I'm hoping, hoping UCLA canknock them out.
And isn't it funny that UConnis the only non-number one seed
(29:26):
to make the Final Four acrossboth Everyone else is the number
one seed.
Uconn's the number two seed.
It's still UConn.
It's not even like an upset?
No, not at all.
Uconn's the team everyone's themost scared of.
That's pretty funny, all right.
Well, bree, always a pleasureto have you.
(29:46):
We will bring you back on alittle later as we talk Aaron
Rodgers specifically, as well asmaybe a few more NFL topics.
Speaker 7 (29:55):
Yep, all right, see
you in a bit.
Speaker 4 (30:06):
Okay, see in a bit.
Okay, see you in a bit.
Thank you all right, cool, cool, uh hi, josh boo, yeah, josh,
yeah, josh.
Yukon needs to get knocked outbecause so, josh, yeah, one of
our very, very loyal subscribersand supporters he has a chance
because we have the bracketchallenge right, pick them pros.
We've got a hundred dollar nikegift card for the men's bracket
and the women's bracket.
Josh has a chance, as well as Ido a few people to win both,
(30:26):
depending on how it falls.
If if yukon and duke wins, hehas a very good chance.
If yukon wins, I think heautomatically wins the women.
If duke wins, you and uh, joshand die will be tied and it's
going to come down to tiebreaker.
So that'll be very interesting.
So, yeah, yeah, can't wait tosee that, all right, well, hey,
(30:49):
let's go to the NBA.
Speaker 1 (30:51):
All right.
Speaker 4 (30:52):
Yes, Can't wait to
talk about this here with our
guy, Christopher Davis.
So Lakers and Warriors so theyare currently the 4-5 seed.
So Lakers and Warriors so theyare currently the four and five
seed.
So if the playoffs startedtoday they would match up in the
first round.
A lot of people are saying theydon't want to see that first
round, they want to see thatlater.
I personally want to go aheadand get it over with.
Speaker 1 (31:13):
I want to see that,
please, yeah, let's please see
that first round.
I don't want that to wait.
Speaker 4 (31:16):
Yeah let's please see
that first round.
I don't want that to wait.
So, Diego, first, do you thinkthey will face off first round?
And whenever they face off, who's going to win?
Speaker 1 (31:29):
I think they'll face
off first round.
With the way it's going, Ithink the seeding is going to
flip.
I think the Warriors will befour, lakers will be five.
Either way, I'm still going tohave the Warriors, of course,
because I'm a Warriors fan, ofcourse, and then, with the way
they beat them yesterday and wegot playoff Jimmy, he's going to
come in and play at anotherlevel.
(31:49):
That's going to be big.
They beat them yesterday, yes,definitely.
How much Beat them by aboutseven.
Speaker 4 (31:58):
Oh my goodness, they
beat them by seven.
That had to have been in theBay right.
Speaker 1 (32:03):
It was in LA.
Yeah, in LA, in LeBron's house, and Steph was getting MVP
chance.
Speaker 4 (32:08):
What?
No, not in Cryptocom.
That did not happen.
Speaker 6 (32:14):
There's no, listen, I
already said what's going to
happen when we pop out in LA.
We're going to happen when wepop out, let us pop out in LA.
We're going to have to dealwith some people in a different
color because we called it thecrib.
Now let me get my take off withthe Lakers.
Listen, luka, I have no ideawhat he was doing at the end of
that game.
(32:34):
And him going 0 for 6 from 3,him choosing the worst game for
him not to show up, especiallyknowing that we're going to have
to play these guys in theplayoffs.
You chose the one and again, even LeBron's absence.
There's been moments where he'sbeen hooping, but also guess
who else has been hooping?
Austin Reeves, and guess who,at the end of the game, hit two
really big threes?
Austin Reeves.
(32:55):
So why did he not get the ballin the last few seconds?
And again, I not get the ballin the last few seconds?
And again, I understand it iscrazy the fact that we did trade
anthony davis for a player andI am saying that when austin
reeves to get the ball.
But again, I was thinking let'sgo with a player who just hit
three big like, three big shots, like what's what's going on?
y'all, maybe y'all should havekept 80, perhaps perhaps perhaps
(33:17):
perhaps and look, we can talkabout, like, listen.
We could talk about, like,listen.
We could talk about our teamdefense improving and us seeming
to get better, but we don'thave that big man.
And again, with the Warriors itis a favorable matchup, but
every single time we play them, lebron and Steph decide to be
like oh, this is our legacy tofighting series.
So I have to have a heartattack every time.
(33:39):
So I am very worried.
So I think that we, as lakershead, are you know, I'm so
rooting for them, but I amterrified having to play them
first our concern, okay, yeah ifI'm terrified, we're terrified.
We might go out the first round.
Speaker 4 (33:54):
I'm not I'm not
joking about that.
So yeah, if, if somebody offersyou a Lamborghini for half off,
you know you might want to kickthe tires a little bit and just
don't purchase it right off thebat.
You may just want to take yourtime a little bit, ask a few
questions.
You know you just may want todo that.
(34:16):
There might be a reason why.
Speaker 6 (34:19):
You know you just
woke up one day and had a Lambo
following you, because when theTigers are pushing 270 and they
just automatically decide not toshow up, but when you need them
to show up, but a randomTuesday shoot no, I'm sorry, the
Bulls losses in this really gotme messed up y'all, I am
stressing Josh Giddy, josh Giddygetting us for game.
And then LeBron having thatstupid in-barrels pass Josh
Giddy getting us for game andthen LeBron having that stupid
(34:39):
inbarrows pass.
Listen, I don't want to takeoff too much more of the show
man.
I'm going through it.
Speaker 4 (34:46):
I'm so scared man,
yeah, that half court heave by
Josh Giddy to meet them justtook all the momentum for game.
Yeah, Josh Giddy for game.
And then, right after that, didn't they go to OKC, Wasn't it
the Josh Giddey return?
Speaker 1 (35:00):
Yeah, it was the Josh
Giddey return.
I don't know if he got atribute video or not.
Speaker 4 (35:03):
Yeah, I was about to
ask that's kind of the question.
Did he get a tribute video?
I don't know.
I'm out to do some research.
We'll leave that alone.
Speaker 6 (35:10):
All right.
Speaker 4 (35:14):
So let's move on to
all right, bad Boy Pistons.
So, man, shout out to allfamily in Detroit Love you guys.
And yeah, shout out to my mom, everybody repping Detroit, we
know you are excited that thePistons.
The Pistons are doing some bigthings, playing some ball, but
(35:37):
not only are they playing welland will be in the playoffs, but
they are playing with a tough,hard-nosed, bad-boy style that
represents the city of Detroit.
So that is so great.
So, diego man, what's your takeon these bad boys?
Man?
Are they, for real, someone tobe concerned about?
(35:57):
Just go ahead and take thisaway.
Speaker 1 (35:59):
I think they could
win a series, depending on who
they face up against.
But I'm not surprised that theygot the bad boy mentality,
because whenever they've beengood throughout their history
they kind of had that edge.
So I'm not surprised for sure.
But they have a chance to win aseries.
They're a solid team.
Speaker 4 (36:19):
Okay, they can get a
series, make the city of Detroit
proud.
What would you say they need toadd, just in general, to maybe
get over the hump, maybe to getto a second round, get to a
third round?
Are they lacking anything?
Anything stand out to you.
Speaker 1 (36:35):
I think they just
need one more guy.
One more guy, okay, becauseCade's playing really well.
Yeah, they have that edge.
I think if they just have onemore guy to take the pressure
off kade, okay, then they couldreally compete with, like the
calves and you know, all the topteams brand.
Speaker 4 (36:50):
You see what brandon
put in the uh comments devin
booker interesting, interesting.
We gotta bring hold on brie, you it?
We got to bring hold on brieyou.
Speaker 1 (37:07):
I'm looking at brie
backstage.
Speaker 6 (37:09):
He's like no don't,
don't take it might be good for
both sides.
She's gonna lose.
Speaker 1 (37:14):
It might be time for
a rebound, but he would be his
game though, man.
Speaker 4 (37:20):
Yeah, that's a good,
brandon, you snapped on that.
Yeah, he did game wise.
That that's a great, that's agreat fit.
Was leaving at that.
All right, what do you think, chris?
Speaker 6 (37:27):
well, um, yeah, I
think that they are a very great
defensive team.
Again, you have jaylen.
During, you have a star.
You have, you know, the mainenforcer, isaiah stewart, who is
, ah, you know, our nose bringsthe, brings back the feelings
that you know, that's the one we.
You were, you were watching it,yeah, man so uh yeah, I really
think that they are.
(37:49):
They are the best story in thenba.
They're seeing theirimprovement.
After all the turmoil, all thecrazy stuff, you know, everybody
like saying like, oh, theyruined monty williams and it
turned out that monty williamsmight have just you know, I
ain't going to go too much onthat.
But I will say that KennyCunningham's improvement has
been good.
I do want to see what the teamlooks like with Jaden Ivey fully
(38:09):
healthy, like next season.
And yeah, I do think that theycould get a series because again
we've seen teams, you know, with a certain energy and a
certain like type of you know.
It's more of like okay, we'restarting to get established.
We're like so young, we don'tknow what's happening right now.
So I think that that could be akey thing for them in the
(38:29):
playoffs.
Speaker 4 (38:30):
Yeah, and you know
it's also interesting with the
whole two things can be truefactor with the Pistons the
coach, right Bickerstaff, gotran out of Cleveland.
Okay, and you know a lot ofpeople thought it was terrible,
some people thought it was agood move, including Josh.
But it was a good move forCleveland because you can't
argue what the new coach, KennyAtkinson, has done.
(38:53):
He is probably coach of the year.
But then you can sayBickerstaff, who got ran out of
Cleveland, is coach of the yearfor what he's done in Detroit.
So that is amazing.
Speaker 1 (39:03):
I don't know if we've
quite seen that happen, because
Cleveland was just close, theyjust needed a little boost and
Atkinson's giving them the boostand Detroit was just so bad.
They just needed somebody toget them to a playoff team and
he was that.
Speaker 4 (39:18):
And he was that
because they tried many, many
people.
So many have tried and failedin Detroit.
So for Bickerstaff to be theone to come in and get them
going, that says a whole lot, soshout out to him for sure.
Yeah, love to see the Pistonsdoing their thing here.
So excited about that.
And then, yeah, brandon'sputting some other oh, there you
(39:39):
go Bree.
Yeah, excited excited aboutthat.
And then, yeah, brandon'sputting some other oh there you
go, bree, yeah, bree, read up onthose.
That's funny, those commentsthere.
I don't like that.
Oh man, I know, I know.
No, we got to.
You know we will have to talkabout Phoenix, though we might
save that one.
We'll have to talk about thatwith Bree We'll bring Bree on.
(40:00):
And one.
We'll have to talk about thatwith Bree, we'll bring Bree on.
And something We'll have totalk Suns.
We'll do that in the offseason, when it's time to go into that.
We'll definitely talk aboutthat with you, bree.
Let's move on to our final NBAtopic before we go NFL here
today, our segment of Fact orCap.
We've got a lot of teams herethat are in the running.
Are they, you know, contendersor pretenders?
(40:24):
So let's start with the HoustonRockets.
Diego, how far can the Rocketsgo?
Speaker 1 (40:32):
I mean, I just think
it depends on matchups.
If they face a team like theClippers, which they easily
could, I think they win thatseries and then go on to face,
maybe like a Warriors team orLakers team, which they'll
probably lose to.
But if they face a Timberwolvesteam which has Ant on it, then
I think the Timberwolves getthat.
(40:53):
So I think it just depends onthe matchups.
Speaker 4 (40:56):
Now I think and I
think Chris and I are looking at
each other I think we boththink the Clippers would beat
the Rockets?
Speaker 6 (41:00):
Yes, because again,
the way Kawhi's all of a sudden
seeming to turn back the clock, which I'm very concerned with
because I'm like, hold on, wait, wait, it's the fourth leg
surgery and now it seems likethe claw's moving back to what
we've seen before.
I'm like, okay, this is alittle concerning that this is
like the 7th, 8th seed in thisconference.
So, yeah, very, very worriedabout the I don't know if we
(41:24):
want to rely on Kawhi I know wedon't want to rely on Kawhi at
injuries, but the way he's beenlooking I'm almost close to
buying that fool's goal again.
I'm almost you got.
Speaker 1 (41:33):
Harden, that would be
his kind of homecoming.
I guess you like, but I thinkthe Rockets would try to, would
try to prove themselves.
Speaker 4 (41:42):
I truly don't need
him anymore to like that would
be very entertaining, very funto watch.
I don't think Houston hasenough offense and after seeing
them struggle to score in someof these games, I don't feel
when it gets into playoffbasketball they certainly have
the defense.
They've got the grit.
Love their point guard.
Love, of course, udoka, the wayhe coaches.
Speaker 1 (42:04):
They got a little
experience too.
They got Van Vliet who's won.
Udoka's coach in the finals.
Then they got Dylan Brooks, who's played in playoffs.
Speaker 4 (42:13):
It's just when they
have to get a bucket in the
fourth quarter.
They don't have that go-to guy.
I saw that in the game whenthey played the Lakers this past
week.
They could not get a bucketwhen they had to.
Speaker 1 (42:24):
I think Jalen Green
will step up and get the bucket
when it's time he can get somebuckets.
I think when it's time he'll doit.
Speaker 4 (42:35):
As far as the
Clippers go, I say yeah,
depending on matchup, I'd givethem first round maybe, but
beyond that I do not trust Kawhibeyond the first round.
Speaker 1 (42:47):
Yeah, definitely
matchups.
That Clippers Rocket Serieswould be tough to see.
Speaker 4 (42:53):
For sure.
Yeah, that definitely wouldOkay.
How about the Knicks?
What do you think about theKnicks?
Speaker 1 (42:59):
Knicks, I'd say
they're real.
I'd say they're real.
But the only thing is thatthey've been playing so many
minutes and it's just like amatter of if they're just going
to run out of gas.
But pure talent-based, I thinkthey have what it takes Okay.
Speaker 4 (43:17):
And they have a home.
Their home crowd is amazing.
Yeah for sure.
Speaker 6 (43:22):
MSG is crazy, but
they are going to have to play
either the Celtics or the Cavsin that next round.
I'm so sorry, Listen.
I think the Cavs is a muchbetter matchup, but if they end
up playing the Celtics, it's notgoing to be good.
And I also think that, when itcomes to Tibbs and again, when
(43:45):
your own players are coming outbeing like hey, get the guys of
the bench, the bird.
Yeah, that's, that's a problem.
That is a serious problem.
Yeah, so if you'll be like wesaw last year, when everybody
was getting run to the groundand then every single person
dropping and then like we didn'teven know who was playing on
the court on the last in thatgame, seven versus the pacers
yeah so I'm like, until theyfigure that out, I don't know
what's gonna happen I.
Speaker 4 (44:07):
I like the fact that
brunson has been able to get
rest.
Yes, I think that injury wasthe best thing that could have
happened.
Yeah because, he's not able tobe running to the ground, so
that gives me some kind of hopefor the Knicks.
So it's going to be funny, especially with the Knicks fans
and whatnot, because of course alot of the diehard Knicks fans
(44:29):
even just Stephen A Smiths andall those people they're like,
oh no, no, they don't haveenough, they don't have enough,
they don't have enough.
But again they're just like ourguys C-Pain here.
They say that but when they getin the thick of it they're not
going to be able to helpthemselves and they're going to
keep picking the Knicks.
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (44:45):
Shoot.
If we down two overs of theWarriors, I'm saying it's over
y'all.
I'm not Listen, I'm not aboutto be dishonest right now.
That game terrified me.
I am so worried Okay.
Speaker 1 (45:06):
Girl guys see pain
coming around.
All right, what about thenuggets?
That's a tough one, yeah, uh,you know what I'm gonna say cap,
cap, no, they don't have enough.
Well, I mean, they have.
They have some experience, ofcourse, from winning the
championship two years ago, butI just don't think yokich is
gonna be able to go all the way.
You know, know, beat the topteams like the Thunder, you know
, maybe the Warriors or evensome of these other teams.
Speaker 4 (45:27):
They do have a
10-time MVP?
Speaker 6 (45:29):
Yeah, I just I don't
believe that they have the role
players, like they did in thatchampionship run out of Bruce
Brown or KCP.
Just like you know, you can'tjust rely on Joe Kutcher-Murray
because, again, the one thingwith Jamal Murray it's like, oh,
he'll show up versus certainteams and then all of a sudden
versus others.
(45:49):
It's like, oh, it goes backdown the drain, so we're going
to see they're tough.
Speaker 4 (45:56):
Everyone's concerned
about their supporting cast,
although a lot of theirsupporting cast I mean like the
people that we're talking aboutaren't there are like the fourth
, fifth guy, you know, sixth guy.
So their top three, reallytheir top four, are still there.
Top four Jokic.
Speaker 1 (46:11):
Murray, Porter and
Gordon.
They're still there, so the topfour are still there.
Speaker 4 (46:15):
So when we're saying
they don't have help, it's like
okay, we're talking like six, seven guys, yeah, yeah, so you
know, but but their bench wasvery strong for that run.
So you know, there's a littlebit of truth to both of those.
I think we can all agree.
The nuggets are a team nobodywants to face, true?
(46:36):
I don't think you want to facethem.
Speaker 1 (46:39):
We will face them
Okay.
We'll face them.
Speaker 6 (46:43):
I just better use it.
Speaker 1 (46:46):
Who's going to guard
Joker?
We got Looney.
We got Quentin Post.
He's in the center.
We got some guys that can playsome.
We even got Kaminga can evencome in there, draymond.
They're smaller but they can.
We even got Kaminga.
Can even come in there,draymond.
They're smaller but they can.
You know, if Looney and Postare on the bench, we have those
guys that can get aggressive.
Speaker 6 (47:07):
We're calling this
the closest MVP race we've seen
for a reason and again, I'm notclose.
No, all right, listen.
Obviously that man had a60-point triple-double Like.
That's not okay as a center.
That's not.
He's putting up wilt numbers.
This is not.
He's becoming mythical.
This is not okay.
(47:28):
So I would say you always gotto worry about what he can do,
and this is as a Lakers fan.
Trust me, I am traumatized bythis man for the past two years.
I know exactly what it is likewhen he hits the most ridiculous
three-point shot you've everseen at the end of a clock, at
the key part of the game.
So that's why I'm like.
Speaker 1 (47:50):
We beat the Nuggets
on the road to winning the NBA
championship three years ago.
Speaker 4 (47:56):
That was a long time
ago.
That was a long time ago.
Speaking of the Warriors, jokicwas.
Speaker 1 (48:00):
MVP that year.
Speaker 4 (48:01):
Speaking of Warriors,
shout out to my wife, your mom.
She just put a comment on thereupping you about the Warriors,
so she's the biggest Warriorsfan.
So shout out to you, baby, anda shout out to Meshika Trey,
everybody, and also ProfessorLou Thompson.
We're going to see you in acouple weeks, so we can't wait
to talk about Dallas with you.
(48:21):
Okay, how?
Speaker 1 (48:27):
about we got one more
.
One more before we move on toNFL Cavs.
Yep, you know, I might shocksome people when it comes to
winning the MGA championship Cap, because like.
I got to see more from Garland, from Garland and all their
supporting cast.
I know Mitchell's going to showup.
It's just like I don't know ifGarland's going to show up in
the playoffs, like EasternConference Finals.
(48:48):
They're playing the Celtics inBoston.
I don't know if he's going tostep up like honestly.
Speaker 6 (48:53):
All right, okay, all
right, that's the same thing.
Because, again, boston'sexperience is the looming thing
here, and I know that you wantto talk about like well, boston
shoots too many threes, butthere's some games where they're
like, hey, it's not working.
Jalen Brown, jason Tatum, go towork.
And when you have the option, you have those players who've
been in those big high leveragemoments time and time and time
(49:15):
again, especially because theyfeel disrespected off of the you
know, especially the Olympics.
I was like, oh, the Celtics wonthe championship.
We didn't even know like thatthat's that, that's a chip on
your shoulder, I feel.
Speaker 4 (49:26):
So we're going to see
you know, commissioner Adam
Silver needs to put a rule inand let DiVincenzo, once the
once the Timberwolves areeliminated, they need to let him
go back to the Knicks.
Yes, so they can.
Once the Timberwolves areeliminated, they need to let him
go back to the Knicks.
Yes, please, so they can faceoff against the Celtics, because
I would love to see that.
Oh my goodness, oh man.
Speaker 1 (49:49):
I would love to see
that.
Speaker 4 (49:50):
He's clearly not
happy about that.
Oh man, I know, I know.
Oh man, that's rough, that'srough.
So actually so crazy, Actuallyso okay.
One last one Timberwolves Arethey dangerous at all?
Speaker 1 (50:03):
Nah, really not.
You're not concerned aboutTimberwolves.
Speaker 6 (50:06):
No cat, they're not
the same, they literally took
away the only thing that wasable to beat Jokic.
That's the most irritatingthing.
I'm just mad with theTimberwolves in general this
week, so we're going to leave itat that.
Speaker 4 (50:19):
All right, okay, all
right, sounds good.
Well, let's move on to NFL.
Okay, so with the NFL, you guysagain rocking the Diego army,
carolina Panther theme shirts.
You can get those at the pickthem proscom.
Check that out.
Matter of fact, I'm sure y'allI'm going to show y'all I'm
saying check out this, check outthat there.
(50:41):
Oh yeah yeah, look at usrocking the Pick'em Pro gear.
Get your merch right now.
We got the retro hoodies, tees, all of that, so you can go
classic or retro.
We now have it in all differentcolors so you can get your
favorite colorway and rep anyteam that you want.
So go to vpick'emproscom andget your merch All right.
(51:02):
So just wanted to plug that Now.
With that said, carolinaPanthers, they have the number
eight pick in the draft in acouple of weeks, diego, what
should the Panthers do?
Speaker 1 (51:15):
I think the Panthers
should take Teterula McMillan
with the eighth overall pick.
The receiver from Arizona.
He had a monster year there.
Looking like the best receiverpick the receiver from Arizona.
He had a monster year there, okay.
Looking like the best receiverprospect in the draft Okay, yeah
, he's got that.
Mike Evans build about 6'4",like 220 or something.
Okay, I think we should drafthim.
Okay, get a weapon Okay.
Speaker 4 (51:38):
So he's got that
Leggett build.
I think I'd rather say Leggettthan yeah.
Speaker 1 (51:45):
He can catch the ball
, oh, okay.
Speaker 4 (51:48):
And run, but Leggett
had a wrist.
His wrist, yeah, he had a wristinjury.
It's okay, he'll be back.
Speaker 6 (51:55):
I would just let
Diego think about the Eagles
game.
Man, I don't want him to.
We might have to take him offcamera, because that's just the
wound's still fresh.
Speaker 1 (52:05):
Yeah, I can't even
talk about Luget, yeah that's a
little rough.
Speaker 6 (52:09):
Okay, I would say I
would want either Jalen Walker
or Tet, because I think that westill need that star player on
defense, because again, losingShaq Thompson and we still have
derrick brown and jc, but weneed another guy on defense to
really, like you know, set thetone.
And I would just say, get awide receiver early, like second
(52:31):
, would be the better move.
Okay, if we don't, if we're notable to get that, because we
just need, like again, a young,a good, another younger I'd
receive, because again, legateehands were a disaster and plus,
with Jalen Coker coming on, adamThielen is getting older.
So that's why I'm like I don'tthink we should keep relying on
Adam Thielen.
And again, there were somegames where I was like, okay, he
(52:51):
turned back the clock all of asudden.
I don't know, what got into him.
But I don't know if we canconsistently trust that.
I don't know if we canconsistently trust that you feel
me.
So that's why I would say ifwe're not able to get Ted, take
Jalen Walker and then get a widereceiver in the second round,
okay.
Speaker 1 (53:06):
Yeah, Me personally.
I'm like if we draft a receiverearly second round, we're
getting another Leggett andanother Xavier Leggett is not
going to make a difference forus, I'm sorry.
So if we're going to get areceiver, I want to either get
one with the eighth overall pickor just trade for somebody.
Just trade for somebody.
Speaker 4 (53:24):
Hey, I have a great
idea, guys.
This will help you a whole lot.
I think you should draft TravisHunter.
Speaker 1 (53:31):
I don't think we can
how.
Speaker 6 (53:33):
Where is he going to
be?
He's going to be gone.
Speaker 4 (53:38):
Like the man is
literally like he can play two
positions at the highest level.
You know what I forgot?
Y'all won a bunch ofmeaningless games at the end.
Speaker 1 (53:45):
Yes, those were worth
it.
My bad, my bad, I totally.
We don't need Travis Hunter.
We don't even want TravisHunter.
Speaker 6 (53:51):
Okay, shoot it was
good for him around, that he
scored five touchdowns.
But then I remembered oh, nowwe're picking eight.
Speaker 2 (54:02):
It was like oh, we
got a quarterback down the day.
Speaker 1 (54:02):
I would rather Bryce
Young have those big games than
us get Travis Hunter.
We don't want or need TravisHunter.
Speaker 4 (54:05):
We're good.
Alright, we're good.
Who don't want?
Speaker 6 (54:08):
or need Travis Hunter
he don't speak for me.
We don't need Bryce Young hedon't speak for me.
Speaker 4 (54:11):
We don't need Travis
Hunter.
We're going to get the guywhat's his name?
From.
Speaker 1 (54:14):
Arizona.
If you watch the collegefootball you would know.
You don't even know the top,but I didn't go quite that deep
in college football.
Speaker 4 (54:23):
So you know I like my
college football at the.
You know Texas, you know OhioState, you know Michigan,
colorado.
That level I didn't really goto.
Yeah, you went a little, you.
You went division four on me onthat I didn't.
Speaker 6 (54:39):
He beat Colorado, he
did.
Speaker 1 (54:42):
He beat Colorado he
mocked Travis Hunter in the end
zone?
No way, yeah, he did.
There's a clip.
We're going to have to pull theclip over that.
Speaker 4 (54:49):
We're going to have
to pull the clip.
We're going to have to see that.
Speaker 1 (54:52):
Then Travis might
have even fell to the ground.
Now you know what.
Speaker 4 (55:01):
I don't want to maybe
spill the tea here, but in our
new studio we may be able toshow that.
So just a little tease of whatmay be coming in a couple of
months.
So yeah, we're going to have,if you like, this.
Just wait until you see us in acouple months.
Man, this thing's going to belooking like NFL Network.
Oh, my goodness, you are notready for that.
All right, let's bring Br.
All right?
Well, let's let's uh bring brieback and let's uh talk a little
(55:24):
more nfl.
What's going on, brie?
hi all right, hey, hey.
So, uh, you know, uh, your boy,we like to say this when we're
talking about someone that'sclearly not your boy, your boy,
aaron rogers.
Um, a lot of drama going on.
Seemed like about two monthsago the Steelers and Rodgers had
(55:46):
some mutual interest, but theyhaven't signed anything, at
least last I checked.
Unless there's something on theticker, what's going on?
Speaker 7 (55:54):
Yeah, he just needs
to retire.
He's taking too long.
I don't know what he's doing,but he needs to retire because I
mean he's not good anymore.
I mean last season with theJets really proved it.
I mean he looked like he wasout of it all the time.
So it's just weird.
He needs to say goodbye to thecareer.
(56:16):
He probably wants to go outwith a bang, though, but he
hasn't even signed with anyone.
So it's weird.
I don't know what they're doing, but he was seen throwing with
DK's cap, so maybe, but I don'tknow, yep yep with DK's cap, so
maybe, but I don't know.
Speaker 4 (56:30):
Yep, that is true.
Yeah, it's kind of like what wewere saying before something
too good to be true.
It is, and here it is.
If the Jets cut you, I don'tknow if.
Speaker 1 (56:46):
Ooh, let's go get
that guy.
Yeah, I've never seen thatbefore.
Speaker 6 (56:50):
They thought they
were going to the Super Bowl
with him.
Even after the Achilles tearthey were like, oh, we just
needed him back and we're goingto the Super Bowl, traded
Devontae Adams, his best buddy,to that team.
They still were like we'regoing to trade Devontae and
we're going to cut you.
Speaker 1 (57:09):
Yep, that's crazy
Brought in Justin Fields.
Speaker 6 (57:13):
Brought in Justin
Fields.
Speaker 1 (57:16):
This is an indicator.
You got to go, man.
Speaker 6 (57:20):
That's when stuff
starts to get bad.
The backup for the Steelersyeah, we're not even going, yeah
.
Speaker 4 (57:26):
Drop the mic on that.
Yeah, the Jets said, no, that'sall right, we'll go with Justin
, we'll get the backup for theSteelers yeah.
But you have to steal.
Speaker 1 (57:35):
We're basically going
to get your backup Right,
someone that's not even as goodas your backup.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that makessense yeah.
Speaker 4 (57:51):
I think, the Steelers
would be better off with
Trubisky at this point.
Speaker 6 (57:53):
I don't know.
I mean, all the quarterbacksnever throw a pick six.
Really, yes, weirdest stat ever.
He's the only quarterbackplaying actively who's never
thrown a pick six.
Mitchell Trubisky Wow, that'scrazy.
He throws every otherinterception in the world but
not a pick six.
Speaker 4 (58:04):
That is a wild stat,
Bree.
Did we miss you?
Speaker 7 (58:09):
Oh, I just said Kyler
Murray would be good on the
Steelers.
Speaker 4 (58:12):
Oh man, yeah, now he
would be phenomenal, because I
still believe in Kyler Murray.
Yeah, yes.
Speaker 5 (58:19):
I believe in Kyler
Murray no steps.
Speaker 4 (58:21):
I am a Kyler Murray
fan, for sure, so I'm surprised,
bree, you've given up on Kyler.
Speaker 7 (58:28):
Right, he's been on
the team for years and he hasn't
done anything but it's not him.
Speaker 4 (58:34):
He doesn't he, he
doesn't have enough help then he
would do something it's not himnow.
Now, okay, he's got now will.
Hernandez, of course, is great,so he's got help there.
All right that that's our guy,but besides that, he needs more
help.
Speaker 7 (58:52):
Maybe if he got more
help, then I'd be persuaded.
We'll see how this season goes.
Speaker 4 (58:58):
Okay, all right, yes,
yes, definitely, definitely.
So, hey man, arch Manning.
Yeah, arch Manning would begreat, would be great yeah.
Anywhere would definitely takehim.
So all right Now, Bree, you hadmentioned, as we're preparing
for the show you were talkingabout, I think it was DK, DK,
Metcalf.
(59:18):
Yeah, what did you find outabout him?
Speaker 7 (59:21):
Yeah, he didn't even
want to go to the Sears the
first time.
Wow, yeah, which I read aboutthat, but you never know.
I mean sometimes fake news outthere, but pretty sure.
And then, um, the panthers, they showed interest in him too,
wanted him, but they were nevergoing to get him.
(59:49):
It's the Panthers.
Speaker 4 (59:51):
We could have just
traded one of the young guys.
Speaker 1 (59:54):
That shot wasn't
necessary.
Speaker 6 (59:55):
We could have done it
.
I mean, I know we, I don't knowthey didn't decide to go to the
Steelers, but it happened.
Speaker 1 (01:00:05):
If we didn't pay JC
he should have come to Carolina.
We would have had the money toget it.
Speaker 2 (01:00:09):
We've got great
weather we have Bojangles we
have Bojangles.
Speaker 4 (01:00:14):
There's no Bojangles
in Pittsburgh oh, bri, you
didn't get Bojangles.
You know, next time you gottaget Bojangles when you're here
next time.
Speaker 7 (01:00:21):
I think I've had it
when I lived in the south when I
was little, but I don'tremember if you were in ATL, you
definitely had Bojangles.
Yeah, I don't remember, thoughI was like that's all right,
okay, all right, we'll have to.
Speaker 4 (01:00:33):
We'll have to, yeah
get that back.
Speaker 7 (01:00:35):
Yeah, but it's weird
about DK because there's so many
other teams that he could havewent to.
Yeah, so I'm actually isn'tgoing to be their quarterback,
maybe I don't know, we'll see,because I don't want to play
with him.
Speaker 4 (01:00:52):
Hopefully, once the
draft takes place in a couple of
weeks, then we'll get a littlemore clarity on what's going to
happen.
Speaker 7 (01:00:58):
Keeps me up at night.
I need to know.
Speaker 4 (01:01:00):
Yeah, we'll see.
All right, bree Well.
Again appreciate you, and we'llbe looking out for the next set
of interviews, including theone that you just did with Will
Hernandez thank you for havingme we'll see you soon alright
(01:01:20):
alright, yeah, man could havehad DK could have had DK man of
all the free agency signings of
Speaker 6 (01:01:31):
all the free agency
signings, right, knowing we
needed a wide receiver, wedidn't get one.
Alright, listen, we better gettat now, now.
Now it's serious.
Speaker 1 (01:01:42):
That's what I was
saying you guys were trying to
defend jc.
This is all because of that.
We don't have enough money.
So let's, uh, we got, uh we'realmost to defend.
Speaker 4 (01:01:49):
JC.
This is all because of that.
We don't have enough money.
So let's we got.
We're almost out of time here, hey, brandon.
When you get it well, actually, you know what, when we bring
you on, you can tell us aboutthe.
You can update us on the game.
So we'll get an update when youcome on in a second, brandon.
But let's just finish up withShador, Sanders and the Cowboys
drama, and then also thePatriots.
So let's start with Shador.
(01:02:10):
Where do you think Shador isgoing, diego?
Speaker 1 (01:02:17):
I think the Browns I
guess I mean the Browns need
someone.
I'd say that's who they shouldtake, but he might slide.
You'll never know.
Speaker 4 (01:02:28):
Maybe Giants, maybe
to the giants, okay one of those
two teams you think so there, you don't see him going past the
third pick.
I think he'll be, I can see itokay I can, I can really.
Speaker 1 (01:02:39):
I'm really wouldn't
be shocked with anything.
Okay, the giants, but Iwouldn't be shocked to him
sliding either what about you?
Speaker 4 (01:02:45):
is there any chance?
Your door slides past three Ithink so.
Speaker 6 (01:02:49):
But I would say the
giants quarterback room.
I feel like they're like tryingto get again.
It's very messy with jamis andrussell wilson.
I would say they're trying todo the hey, let's have you sit,
watch these two guys really dotheir thing and then bring in
because I think that would bethe better way to operate.
Yeah, because again, jamis win,Jameis Winston and Russell
(01:03:10):
Wilson in the big 2025 as yourquarterbacks, especially in that
division.
And you know, this is BrianDable's like last shot with the
Giants.
He definitely wants to, youknow, go out on top.
So I would say, if the Brownsdon't get him, it would
definitely be the Giants.
Okay, and yeah, I just I don'tknow If be the Giants, I don't
know If he somehow by somemiracle winds up on the Raiders,
(01:03:32):
that would be cool.
That would be really coolbecause, again, Tom Brady's his
mentor and all that stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:03:37):
I have a feeling, I
definitely have a feeling he
ends up on the Raiders, forwhatever reason.
That's part of the reason why Ipicked them to be a Gino just
signed a two-year extension,though.
Speaker 1 (01:03:49):
Oh, gino, did he, did
.
He just signed a two-yearextension.
Speaker 4 (01:03:52):
Ah yeah, they might
not do that.
Yeah, I don't know.
Depending on the terms of thecontract.
Speaker 1 (01:03:56):
Pete Carroll really
likes Gino he does.
Speaker 4 (01:03:59):
That's right.
That's right.
They have Carroll Also if hegoes to the Giants.
Speaker 1 (01:04:04):
I don't think he
should start right away, because
they don't have a good O-line,it would be, like Bryce Young on
the Panthers.
The type of rookie year.
Speaker 4 (01:04:12):
Yeah, that's a great
point.
What about Cowboys?
Your boy, jerry Jones, andMichael Parsons?
Do they sign them right beforethe season starts, as they
always do?
Yeah, yes, okay, typical Jerrynegotiations.
Speaker 6 (01:04:31):
On this defense.
There isn't another MichaelParsons walking through that
door.
I'm so serious, jerry, likeforgetting the age is safe.
And again, the most annoyingthing about the Cowboys is they
have all the makings of a greatteam.
You have a solid quarterbackand again, dak, you know
whatever you can say about him,he is solid, right.
You have the star wide receiver, you have a good offensive line
(01:04:53):
, you had a good running gameand now that's kind of iffy.
But again, with your defense, abunch of your players were
injured.
So that was the excuse lastyear.
So why wouldn't you pay the guywho is literally like a
game-changing defensive playerof the year candidate?
That just doesn't make sense tome.
And again, jerry, trying tolowball or just try to see what
(01:05:14):
the market brings.
Listen, mike already said thathe wants to go to the Chiefs.
You know if he doesn't get aring anyway?
So I mean, let's just see ithappen earlier.
I guess that would be hilarious.
Speaker 4 (01:05:25):
Yeah, they'll do it
at the last minute.
That Chiefs yeah, they'll do itat the last minute.
That's just how the Cowboys andJerry does business, and they
want to be in the headlines.
So this is a perfect way tostay in the headlines all the
way through until the seasonstarts.
So it'll be just like all theother negotiations, so it'll be
the same thing.
Now, how about?
Last thing here Diggs, stephonDiggs, going to the Patriots,
(01:05:51):
and they also got my guy Hollandfrom the Bills.
Very underrated yes, veryunderrated Talk about that
receiving duo that the Patriotsare going to have.
And Coach Rabel, are thePatriots a team to watch out for
?
Speaker 1 (01:06:05):
Patriots a team to
watch out for man.
If the Patriots draft AshtonGentry in the draft to get that
running back because they don'treally have a guy, you got that
to go.
With Diggs Holland, thereceivers, drake May, he can
throw, he can throw.
They got added pieces to theirdefense.
I think they're a playoff team.
Actually, I think they're mysleeper pick to make the
(01:06:27):
playoffs because I love whatthey've done in the offseason.
Sp playoff team.
Actually I think they're mysleeper pick for make the
playoffs because they I lovewhat they've done in the
offseason.
Speaker 6 (01:06:30):
Yeah, spent, spent a
lot of money, got the coaching
and I like what they're doingthere okay, I do think ravel is
a very good coach and I reallythink that these moves are
definitely good for you know theflashes that we saw from drake
may I just again in a divisionwith the bills, I've really and
again, this is like a very sweetdivision like it ain't it ain't
(01:06:50):
it ain't like nobody else is aworld beater in that division.
We're really worried about thejets or dolphins.
They could at least get a wildcard spot.
And again, with the afc, youfeel me it's not as and again
like, because last year it wasthe first time I've seen that
the conferences flipped with howcompetitive the nfc was
compared to AFC.
But like you feel me, this isn'tlike an awe-inspiring division.
(01:07:12):
So I really could see thePatriots sneaking out as a wild
card team because, again, variable teams, they compete
really well.
It's going to be a hard-nosed,smash-mouth team with again
having a quarterback.
I don't want him to be in theTannehill world because I think
Drake May could be better thanthat.
So just have Drake May, justhit the key throws and you know
we could definitely see themmake a run.
Speaker 4 (01:07:32):
Okay, yeah, I can
definitely see them making a run
.
The Steelers always do withtheir talent level.
I think the Patriots can easilytake that slot that the
Steelers always seem to takeevery year.
Speaker 1 (01:07:44):
I'm not even a Drake
May fan.
I'm not even a Drake May likefan.
Right, I think they can do it.
Speaker 4 (01:07:49):
Yeah, but yeah.
But I love Holland.
He is such an underratedreceiver I don't know why the
bills let him go.
Yeah, he is so clutch.
Speaker 1 (01:07:58):
Make a lot of big
play yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:07:59):
Great block.
Yes, yes, he's tough.
Speaker 4 (01:08:02):
Walking in bare it
and freezing temperatures.
Speaker 6 (01:08:06):
You got to have a
crazy person like that.
That's a necessity.
Speaker 4 (01:08:11):
Definitely Alright.
Well, it's almost time to getout of here.
Thank you for rocking with usonce again.
Before we go, we've got a fanfavorite, brandon Bean, joining
us.
To recap what's going on,brandon what's going on?
Hey, alright, man, good to seeyou.
As always, we've got theBrandon recap here.
(01:08:35):
We got our three-minutecountdown.
So, brandon man, why don't yougo ahead and take it away?
First, maybe, give us an updateon the South Carolina-Texas
game, give us your take on bothFinal Fours and then just
whatever else you want to coveras far as what we talked about
from NBA and NFL.
Speaker 5 (01:08:55):
Okay, so South
Carolina obviously is up 38-35
at the half.
It's tight, but it's a tightgame.
Yeah, but it depends on howMadison Booker does in the
second half for this game to go,I felt like Duke would be
(01:09:20):
Houston.
It's probably about doubledigits.
I think the more tighter gamewould be Florida and Auburn.
That would be a more tightergame, walter Clay florida and
auburn like that would be a moretight game uh walter clayton jr
kind of, he's the reason whyI'm picking florida to win it
all.
Uh-huh yeah, because, like, whatever reason it's like, oh,
(01:09:41):
they're down, we need a bucketyeah, he just raises his hands
like I'm here, man like, manLike, and just go crazy, yep.
So there's that, but I thinkit's time for the Suns to blow
it up.
Yeah, maybe, send you know, kd.
I've heard KD could go to Miami, mm-hmm, yep.
(01:10:05):
Or KD could go to Miami.
Me personally and people mightnot like this, but I could see
KD's best chance would be comefull circle and go back to OKC.
Oh for sure, oh yeah.
So there's that.
If they could somehow notinclude Jalen Williams in the
(01:10:30):
trade to pull it off, they cando it.
That's going to be the onlything, of course, devin Booker,
there's only like two teams thatcould.
I could, legit.
I don't know if the Rocketsgoing to do it because they
trust their young core oh yeah, the Rockets, but I don't know if
the Rockets are going to do itbecause they trust their young
core.
Oh yeah, the Rockets, but Idon't see the Rockets to do it.
(01:10:55):
So I could see them moving, devin Booker, to the East.
So the only two teams out therewould be like either the Pistons
, or like the pistons, or likethe new york knicks.
Oh, those are the two teams Icould see them trying.
Now, pistons probably have thebetter trade package, because
(01:11:18):
they got a younger core for sure.
So they probably gonna shipthem out there, because with new
york, yes, you can offerplayers, but I don't know about
their draft picks, yeah.
So that's the thing.
That's why I kind of leantowards the pistons right.
So for is like nil, nil is kindof like.
(01:11:40):
I think nil helps collegesports, because we never had
this much contenders on men'sand women's and, of course,
college football ever.
So I think it, I think parityis good for college sports yeah,
okay, okay, no.
Speaker 4 (01:12:01):
Great great takes and
great great way to wrap it up.
One thing I will add, though,is we're talking about pick
packages.
Who has more picks than OKC?
To wrap it up.
One thing I will add, though,is we're talking about pick
packages, who has more picksthan OKC?
Yeah, I'm so scared.
Speaker 6 (01:12:15):
Could you imagine?
We got enough problems in theWest.
I don't want that added issue.
Speaker 4 (01:12:23):
He's messed up too,
many teams so move Kevin Durant
aside.
Could they put enough togetherin OKC to get Booker?
Oh my goodness, Could youimagine that they could get both
?
Speaker 5 (01:12:36):
They're good enough
to get both.
Oh my.
Speaker 6 (01:12:39):
God, that's greedy.
Speaker 4 (01:12:42):
That's biblical
levels of greed, they could get
both.
That is a sin.
That is against Kevin.
Speaker 6 (01:12:47):
Durant, I am so sick.
Listen.
That is against so many ethicscodes Out of all the trades that
need to be nixed.
I understand how crazy the LukaAD one was.
I completely understand whypeople wanted to nix that.
That one should never be on thetable, please no.
Speaker 1 (01:13:04):
Okay, seeing the
Warriors.
Speaker 6 (01:13:06):
They already are at
60 with well gonna.
Speaker 1 (01:13:08):
Probably they're
right there they could get 70
just like the dynasty years thatis too funny.
Speaker 4 (01:13:16):
That's too funny, not
at all all right not at all
well, we, uh, we're gonna get onout of here.
