he's at in his career where he'slike, okay, I'm stuck, I'm

Or if he's like, no, we reallyhave a good team and we can run

My other thing is we need, ifwe have, a player like Luka
Doncic the one thing I didnotice with the Dallas Mavericks

even though Nico Harrison didsay defense wins championships
they did have very soliddefenders around him, like a pj
washington, and it's just, weneed dogs like that around him.
So it's not just luca be theone who's constantly getting
hunted.

So again and again, even duringthe playoffs versus the wolves,

especially in game four, you seelebron coming up with all these
defensive stops and I'm like,okay, this is like great, you're
showing that while you're anall time green at 40, but nobody
else is making a defensive stop.
Everybody is late rotating,somebody's not making the right,
the right play, and it's just.
I think that in order to getthe pieces that we need to
compete for championship, he'sgoing to have to take less money

I think that I don't even knowif trades or trades can fix it,
or we help a free agent getblinded by the bright lights of
Los Angeles.
It's like come here, you'll befamous.
You'll have to deal with theInternet sometimes hating you if
you don't play.
Well, like that's just Play fora lower salary.

I think he's going to have toTim Duncan it and take less.

like, oh, we have a chance,right.
I was like this still feelslike the games on the bounce.
Typically, like five or sixyears ago, you would think, oh

They have to give the keys to Luka and they have to
build this team the way thatDallas was building the team
around Luka last year.
So Luka has to be ball dominant.
They've got to build adefensive team around him, build
some sharp shooters around himwhere he can dribble the air out
of the ball and either shoot astep back shot or kick it out to
somebody and have some.

You know defenders are lobbingup to you know the dunker.
So that's definitely whatthey're going to have to do.
But let's go ahead andtransition here to Ant-Man All
right and his quest to take downall of the legends.
So we know that he took down KDlast year, swept him All right,
and that was something the Sunshaven't been the same since, not

at all.
And then he went and took downthe champs.
At the time the Nuggets beatthem in seven.
That was an amazing comeback.
And then they folded to theMavericks and I was very
disappointed in how he let Lukacome in his house and again, not
so much beat them, but the wayhe was able to talk to the fans,

the way he was able to talk toGobert, and there was never any
type of pushback, and so I wasvery, very disappointed in that.
But I was proud of Ant and theway he stepped up, made big
shots, throwing the signs toLuka after he made them, and you
could tell early on that hefelt some type of way about how
that happened and he wasn'tgoing to let that happen this

So big props to Ant.
How do you feel about Ant man?

I think that he has.
He's now the Kingslayer, asAdidas, you know, rated him in a
very great promotional imagefor him.
I think that, yeah, this is.
It's scary the fact that he'smind you, I didn't acknowledge
the fact that he's actually myage because I've seen him, like,
play basketball for all theseyears, but I'm like, wait, he's
23, I'm 23, okay, this is, andyou're out here, you know, not

literally taking out legends inthe game.
I mean what he did in thisseries and again being the best
player, and again this game fourwas the was the moment I was
like, okay, this guy is reallythe best, best shooting guard,
possibly best, definitely top 10player in the league because 43
and 11.
You're making all the keydefensive plays.

You're making all the keypasses.
You're the big shots.
Every single moment that thegame can switch, you're making
the big play.
I was, I was in awe because Iwas like I don't know if I've
seen a young player come in andjust be like, okay, let me get
fully, start getting rid of theold guard.
I'm here now and it's yeah, andeven still, like you remember
the clip going viral a couplemonths ago about like him

talking to obama, him sayingthat he's the truth, and
everybody was like, oh, why isit so confident?
The older generation was like,oh, why is he so confident?
The older generation's kind oflike, ah, why is he so confident
?
I'm like I mean, look at theresume.
He's already like stacking up.
You feel me and I think that,again, most people who are like
fans of the league love Antbecause of the flamboyance,
because of the charisma that hehas and again it that he has,

and, again, it helps the factthat he's transitioned from
mostly dunking and doing allthat to being a very, very good
three-point shooter.
My goodness, some of the threeshe was hitting in those series
was demoralizing.
I think that the face of theleague conversation is very real
for him.
I hope that he becomes that.
But I did want to ask youbecause I remember us having a

conversation about this on theway home from one of the shows,
but I asked you does it restorethat mj feeling for you
absolutely after this seriesespecially?

Speaker 3 (18:13):
absolutely, absolutely.
I've never felt that anybodybrought the magic that michael
jordan brought to the leagueuntil the playoffs, those first
few rounds last year.
I never had that feeling, evenwith Kobe.
Rest in peace.
As phenomenal as Kobe was, Inever had that feeling that I

had those first two series.
And I remember even talking toother people that were like my
peers and they were all gettingexcited like, oh man, because
just the way he attacked hisopponent, the way he attacked
the basket, the charisma, justeverything.
He embodies a lot of what I usedto see with Jordan.

(18:55):
So, yeah, he continues on thispath.
He will absolutely be the faceand, yeah, can win many titles.
And what I also love thatthey're doing in minnesota is
they're not doing what so manyother teams are doing, whereas
they're taking.
Just because you're the bestplayer on the team, they're
making you the point guard.
I hate that, like I can't standthat with sga and you know some

of these other players thataren't pure point guards but
since they're the best player onthe team, they just have them
bringing the ball up and makingthe decisions.
I can see sometime in crunchtime, but I like it when there's
a designated point and I lovethe fact that with Minnesota
they've got Conley and I thinkhe brings a lot of stability, so
I hope they never deviate fromthat.

I hope they can always alignhim with a strong point guard.
But yes, to answer yourquestion, man, yeah, he is the
closest thing I've seen since.

Jordan and to me, anthony Edwards.
It's just, yeah, it'sspectacular just seeing what he
does.
I hope and again, nobody was we.
I really think that the mediaand everything, the star power,
the brightness of LA, reallyovershadowed how well
constructed this Wolves team is.
And also Rudy Gobert, greatseries man.

I tip my cap because after allthe crap everybody talked about
you not guarding on theperimeter.
There were some plays that youwere making guarding LeBron and
Luke.
I was like, hey, I got to tipmy cap to you, man.
And even still, like Nas Reed,you know, jaden McDaniels,
akilah, isaiah Walker, all ofthem.
They're such a well-constructedteam, whereas the Lakers man
I'm envious because it's like,okay, even though it is the best

player, it still has todominate.
There isn't as much pressure asit is on LeBron or Lucas.
So I definitely wouldn't.
I would give the Wolves theprops for this series.

Man, it's, I would give the Wolves the props for
this series man, a lot of propsand on top of that, you know,
look at the moves, you know,giving away Cat or trading Cat.
I should say A lot of peoplethought that was an awful move.
It's over for him.
And then bringing in JuliusRandle, who would underachieve
in the playoffs and fizzle out,had injuries.
He was phenomenal Physical withLeBron, you know, had that dog.

Now I'm curious to see okay, ifhe gets his money what's going
to happen.
I don't want to get too crazywith Randle, but I love what he
did.
