Speaker 1 (00:00):
And I'm also I'm sorry, but that light-skinned
boogeyman up in Kansas City.
Okay, those knees get a littleshaky when he comes around.
And until you handle thatboogeyman in Kansas City, I
cannot in good conscience votefor you to get that MVP.
Until you get over thatlight-skinned man in Kansas City

race.
It's basically down betweenJosh Allen and Lamar Jackson.
So I can't wait.
We got some people that's beenflip-flopping y'all, so I'm not
going to say who, all right, butwe're gonna get into that.
We're already starting.
We'll get into that.
And uh, nba, did they losechristmas to the nfl?

(02:11):
Did the nfl steal christmas?
We're gonna talk about that.
And man, our fantasy footballshowdown.
The trophy is here.
We're down to the wire.
We got the final two teams andwe're gonna have them join us

So that's going to be so fun.
We got Silas from Canada.

We'll be in the building andwe're going to have some fun,
fun trash talk between them.

So thank you, trey, love you, man, appreciate you, my man, and
just so excited to rep for them.
And they also gave us thesespecial Happy New Year straws,
party straws, so we're in a veryfestive mood.

(03:15):
So thank you, fam, for that.
We appreciate you and love youfor that.
All right, well, hey, fellas,y'all ready for a fire show?
Yes, all right, let's get intoit, man.
So let's start off.
We've got um the nba.
Did they lose christmas to thenfl, diego?
What was your take on this man?

Speaker 5 (03:34):
yeah, it's looking like it.
It's looking like they'relosing christmas to nfl.
I mean, like the nfl, theirratings were um five times with
the NBA, got almost five timeswhat the NBA got, yes, and the
games weren't even that great.
So that just kind of shows howmuch they're kind of taking over
.
So, yeah, I think NFL is takingover Christmas.

(03:58):
Yeah, I think they're takingover.
What do you?

Speaker 1 (03:59):
think Chris.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
I mean I think that the NBA overall had the better
slate, chris.
I mean I think that the nbaoverall had the better slate.
But unfortunately when you havebeyonce, you have like four
playoff teams on for christmas.
Obviously people are gonna tunein.
So I do think that the dealwith netflix to expand kind of
shows that roger's not playingaround anymore.
He's like nah, we really gonnabe pushing this.

(04:21):
So I'm very excited forbasically what comes of this new
deal with Netflix and see ifthere's more streaming deals.
But I am, I don't know.
I think the NBA, I think LeBronand staff held it down for him,
but it's still the Beyonce ofit all kind of sealed the deal
for how well the NFL was goingto do.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
Yeah, a lot of people were happy with the Beyonce
performance.
I'm not going to speak on itbecause you know we're not quite
big enough to deal with thebacklash from going against the
what's the group, the Beehive, yeah the Beehive.
So I'm not going to, on record, say anything bad about Beyonce

(05:03):
and the Beehive, but I do feellike the NFL is stealing it from
the NBA, especially onWednesday.

Speaker 6 (05:10):
Like.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
OK, christmas, you know, obviously is falling on
every day.
So Sunday, I get that, saturday, monday, but Wednesday, really.
So you know, they really flextheir muscles there.
And then the NBA didn't dothemselves themselves any, you
know, uh didn't give themselvesany help by, in my opinion,
putting stephan lebron in thatprime time spot.
I get it, they're the, you know, still the face.

(05:32):
But that's, that's the problemwith the nba is they still have
not turned to the new guard, umokc, best team in the nba, and
they're not on at all.
Ant-man, who's probably got themost charisma out of anybody,
not on, it's just interesting.
Wimby, who you know definitelyhas next is on at noon in a spot

(05:57):
when everybody's still asleep.
Just interesting.
What do you got to say, chris?

Speaker 2 (06:01):
My whole thing.
I believe that the NBA has kindof given up on their push for
young players over these pastfew years.
Just because of the stuff that'shappened with said young
players.
I mean the push that there wasfor Zion Williamson in 2018,
2019, when he was coming out ofDuke and everybody was losing
their minds saying, oh, he'sgoing to be the best player in
the league.
And then we see that doesn'tnecessarily go well.

(06:24):
You see how they try to pushjaw and you see how big jaw is
on social media and then youknow all the mess that jaws had
with the whole.
We're not going to speak on it,but if you know, you know.
And then we have anthony edwardsand then losing to the
mavericks in very dramaticfashion.
It feels like they haven't hadthe opportunity to truly push
that new guard.
It kind of like focus on thosevery new and talented players.

(06:48):
I feel like, especially likewith the celtics ring, that
definitely should have shown usthat they didn't care too much
for their younger playersbecause immediately we focus on
lebron, steph and katie for theolympics.
This is like the best youngcore of two players all of a
sudden finally breaking through, winning their their
championship.
And we heard nothing about thatafter the summer.
So I'm not mad if the Celticswant to start being a dynasty

(07:09):
winning, because I feel like wedisrespected them a little.
We just after this offseasonbased off how well Jason Tatum
and Jalen Brown both played.
So I really think they've givenup on it because they're like
okay, we got to focus on theretirement tours of these guys
instead of just focusing ontheir new guard, which kind of
worries me because I don't knowwhich new young players they're

(07:33):
really gonna like try to have totake those spots okay, okay,
now that that's a veryinteresting take.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
That that's a good take.
That's a good take.
They've given up on the, thenew guard and you know, had some
tries and failures and are justgoing to stick it out with the
old guard until they retire.

Speaker 5 (07:49):
Any final comments from you, diego, on that uh,
yeah, I wish, I wish we saw OKCand SGA.
That would have been coolbecause hence the best team in
the league.
And uh, yeah, we could have putthem on over.
You know the Sixers, the Knicks, or you know any of these other
teams with older players thataren't even that great to be
honest.
They aren't even some of thetop teams anymore.

(08:09):
Yeah, that's really all I gotto say on that.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
Good point, good takes there.
It was also interesting beforewe transitioned to the NFL.
Ant Ant did flex on Luka Well, not on luca, so that was kind of
the point.
So they were able to hold themavericks off right the other
day, but uh, conveniently whenluca was out.

(08:36):
Now luca's out for a month, butkind of like man, you know, I I
wish I could have seen thatwith luca there.
So I don't know if that'sfool's gold or not.

Speaker 5 (08:45):
I think it is.
Yeah, I think it is Becauseearly in the game, like I
watched the beginning of thegame, mavericks were leading and
then Luka goes out down andthen Ant starts going crazy.
When Luka gets out it hits afew shots and then he's flexing
and talking trash, regular Antstuff.
But it's like man, you weren'tdoing that when Luka was in

(09:05):
there Right, yeah, they didn'tbe doing that when they?
Don't have all their guys.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
Yeah, wasn't doing that.
It's kind of like on Friday, you know, people talking junk
when Deebo's not around, youknow, which kind of reminds me
of somebody else in anotherleague.
But we'll get to that later.
Anyway, we'll get to that later.
Anyway, we'll get to that later.
Okay, all right.
So any oh.
So I got one thing to say here.
So, questions we know a lot ofpeople are watching and whatnot,
and we've had some fans thatdefinitely you know we guys.

(09:37):
You guys put a lot of commentsout there and we love your
comments.
Please keep the comments coming, but we can't here on the live
show, we can't see all thecomments, so we're not able to
acknowledge the comments.
So the comments are foreveryone else watching.
If you would like to engagewith us during the show, please
ask a question and we will makesure that we answer your
questions.
So if you have a question, youwant to engage with us, put that
in the comments and we'll besure to answer that.

(10:00):
So we had one particular fanthat was very disappointed that
we didn't get to acknowledgesome of his comments.
So please just put a questionin and we will be able to answer
that.
So, with that said, summer, dowe have any questions that we
need to know?
Okay, no questions right now.
So, again, you want us toacknowledge you?
Please put a question in and wewill acknowledge.
All right.
Okay, cool, so let's move on.

(10:21):
Let's preview the NFL Week 17.
While we're doing this, we'regoing to recap some of the games
that already happened.
Man, we have the Kansas CityChiefs.
The NFL and the Kansas CityChiefs have taken over that
division.
They beat Russell Wilson andthe Steelers handily on Netflix

(10:44):
with a clean stream.
What's your thoughts on thatgame in the state of the Kansas
City Chiefs?

Speaker 5 (10:49):
Diego Just Red Chiefs doing Chief things, refs
throwing their flags.
I saw the second DBs weretouching wide receivers.
I was seeing multiple flags goout.
It was a flag fest in that game, for sure.
But hey, they pulled it through.
They did what they do.
Yeah, nothing shocking in thatgame.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
Okay.
So my mistake is the fact thatthe Kansas City Chiefs are yet
again rounding into form.
I feel that like it's veryscary seeing how well Mahomes
played homes played becauseagain it turned back to the
clock to like mbp my homes withall the touchdowns he was
throwing, kind of gettingthrough all of his reads.
Basically, travis kelsey, youknow, doing his whole turn the

(11:35):
turn the clock back thing, youknow, breaking tony gonzalez
like receiving touchdown record.
So I'm I'm very worried aboutthis three pete.
I'm not gonna lie, becausesomehow, some way, regardless of
how we feel about like the restof the teams of the afc,
there's something to be saidabout how patrick mahomes and
the chiefs play in the playoffs.

(11:56):
And we can talk about the refsall we want, but during every
single super bowl run, yes, I,he has a moment where you're
just like okay, dude, you'reabout to take this game over.
I'm very excited to see whathappens if somebody's able to
knock them off.
I feel like earlier this seasonwe could say it was just the
evil magic or all this stuff.

(12:17):
But now it's like, okay, they'vedefinitely turned a corner,
they're starting to look alittle scary now.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
The three-peat, I mean, if you asked me before the
season I would have saidthere's no way they're going to
three-peat.
There's no way, no how theywere lucky to win last year.
Now, man, I still say they'renot going to three-peat.
But man, it's looking shaky.

Speaker 5 (12:42):
It's looking shaky and it's looking scary.
I believe it's looking shaky,it's looking shaky.
It's looking scary.
I believe in uh of the teams.

Speaker 1 (12:51):
I believe in alan, I believe in the lions, yeah, yeah
, yeah, we'll see.
And so, dc, we see youbackstage.
Man, happy to see you.
So we're gonna be bringing youout shortly, uh, after we pass
the uh no-brainers, we'll begetting the fancy football to
see.
Dc's ready, he's ready into it,man.
So we can't wait to.
Can't wait to bring you on.
So we know you can hear us.
We just want to acknowledge you, let you know you're in the
right place, so we'll bring youout.

(13:12):
We'll bring you out in a minute.
All right, oh man.
But yeah, chiefs are looking.
Let's go into the RavensBaltimore Ravens visiting CJ
Stroud and the Houston Texans.
This is a segment that we know.
Diego is very happy and excitedabout.

(13:35):
Diego, let's just give it to you.
Man, how do you think BaltimoreRavens look against those
Houston Texans?

Speaker 5 (13:40):
Yeah, baltimore, they look good against another bad
Lamar.
Had a great game againstanother bad lamar.
Uh, had a great game againstanother bad team, so congrats to
him.
And cj did not look great, scored zero points on offense.
The only only points they gotwas from the defense and the
safety.
So, uh, yeah, cj didn't lookthat great bryce, by the way, he
won and his offense scored over30 and he got three touchdowns.

Speaker 1 (14:04):
Just saying Okay, bryce won how many touchdowns?

Speaker 5 (14:11):
Three.

Speaker 1 (14:13):
How many interceptions?
Zero, zero.
Okay, you said it with a lot ofconfidence.

Speaker 5 (14:19):
He had the best cute quarterback rating last week
also he did.

Speaker 1 (14:25):
Did you pick the Panthers?
See, it was a part of mystrategy, all right.

Speaker 5 (14:29):
I had.
If they won, I was going to behappy.

Speaker 6 (14:33):
If they lost my pick was going to be right.

Speaker 1 (14:35):
So that's how you got to do it.

Speaker 5 (14:36):
That's how you got to do it.
That's how you got to do it.

Speaker 1 (14:38):
You were clearly happy.
You were on social mediaholding the Welch's grape
champagne bottle, so celebratelike you won the championship
when you didn't even pick themto win but somebody was a
Christmas miracle.
So somebody picked him to winand put some money on it.

Speaker 5 (14:52):
Congrats man.
Who's leading the pick still.
Who's leading?

Speaker 1 (14:57):
Well, that's another.
So you're moving to go, we'renot.
We're not talking about thatright now.
All right, all right.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
What's your take on on uh ravens texas game?
I think that, yeah, cj stratshaving like an all-time uh
sophomore slump.
I, he looks night and day fromthe guy we used to see and again
the ravens just did what ratehow?
Basically they've beenprogressing since the buy.
They've just dominated more, focusing on running the ball.
I, I mean Derek Henry's doinghis thing, you got Mark Andrews
starting to round out and forfor making all his plays.

(15:31):
Dave flower is still doing histhing.
So I and I'll get to my takelater.
But yeah, lamar, you know, proves to be special again.
So you know, I'm I'm veryexcited to very excited with
Baltimore Ravens and you know, with the Texas, I feel a little
bit, I feel a little bit unsure.
I feel like they're going to beone and done in the playoffs.

(15:52):
Cj, they got to address thatoffensive line.
It's, it's weird.
I know that they're down two oftheir best receivers, but we
see what Bryce Young is doingwith, you know, not a player at
the caliber of Nico Collins.
Let's keep it real.
I love Chuba Hubbard, butactually, no, chuba Hubbard is
better than Joe Mixon this year.
I'm not even going to entertainthat.

(16:13):
But before this season wouldyou say that Bryce had the
better situation than what CJhad.
I don't think anybody would.
I'm just saying Bryce, sincehe's been benched, since he's
come back, has definitelyperformed better than cj shroud,
which you know.
We'll see, basically, how therest of their careers go.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
It's a very intriguing storyline going into
the end of the season so, diego, this is just a spur of the
moment question how many winswould the carolina panthers have
if they had nico collins?

Speaker 5 (16:45):
They would have more than what they do now.
That's all I got to say.

Speaker 1 (16:49):
Would they win the division?

Speaker 5 (16:51):
Yeah, definitely They'd win the division.
And then if Bryce you know,Bryce has been playing the way
that he had all year.
Well, he was benched, whichthen caused him to play great.
If we had Nico, I think we'dwin the division.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
Okay For sure, All right Got you, got you, okay,
all, if we had nico, we I thinkwe went into vision, okay for
sure, all right, got you, gotyou okay, all right, all right,
just just something I wanted towanted to ask there.
Okay, well, hey, let's get toour no-brainers.
We got a lot to get to.
We got to get to ourno-brainers.
And then we've got to bring uhsilas and uh david on and talk
about their fantasy footballshowdown.
So they also owe me and diego alot of uh credit here.

(17:27):
So we're gonna we're gonnabring up why they owe us some
credit here when we bring themon but all right let's get to
our no-brainers, man Diego.

Speaker 5 (17:34):
Start us off with the first one, all right first one
we got the Chargers going to NewEngland to play the Pats and we
all got the Chargers.
Uh, the Patriots, they're justnot great.
Uh, they're 3 and 12 and theChargers Chargers are fighting
for a playoff spot, so they'regoing to try and win as many
games as they can.
So, yeah, easy going with them.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
Not much to say.
You know the fighting hardballsare going to do their thing.
Yeah, Go to the Chargers.

Speaker 1 (18:03):
Yeah, I don't think there's much to say about any of
these seven no-brainers y'all, but we will acknowledge them
here quickly.
So yeah, that's a no-brainer.
Definitely charges over thePatriots.
What's the next one?

Speaker 5 (18:13):
Next one is the Cardinals traveling to LA to
play the Rams, and we all gotthe Rams in this one.

Speaker 2 (18:24):
I mean they're fighting to win the division and
making sure that they don'thave a reason to play.
That is our.

Speaker 5 (18:30):
Carolina Shout out to Bryce.

Speaker 1 (18:31):
Carolina Panthers.
Yeah, so sorry, bree on thatone, but you know Southern guys
had to, you know, flex a littlebit.
Yeah, show them what was up onthat one.
Yeah, what Bryce does.
Yeah, that's apparently whatBryce Young does.
Okay, all right, okay, sowhat's the next?

Speaker 5 (18:49):
one.
Next one we got the Jetstraveling to Buffalo to play the
Bills and we all got the BillsI mean Josh Allen trying to get
that MVP, MVP, and the Jetsdon't have anything to play for,
as a lot of these teams do Alot of these teams have nothing
to play for, so we all goingwith the Bills.

Speaker 2 (19:11):
Yeah, you going with the MVP.
Here I'm going with the Bills.
I ain't going with the MVPthough, but yeah, we going with
the Bills.
Interesting, we going to see,we going to see.
Like, listen, let's see if hehas a New England performance or
you know a great.
Rams performance.
Let's just see.

Speaker 6 (19:26):
Because he's throwing arm punts.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
Now, that's a little different, as I recall those
used to be called interceptions.
But you know what?
We will bow our head.
Let's just say shout out toJosh Allen.
Man, he's been playing well.
All right, I have the Bills inthis one.

Speaker 1 (19:39):
All right, okay, got the Bills in that one.
What's the next one?

Speaker 5 (19:43):
when we got the Colts traveling to New York to play
the Giants and we all got theColts in this one.
The Giants actually do havesomething to play for the number
one pick, so they're trying toget one of these quarterbacks
and they have to lose out to doit, so they will continue to do
that and the Colts will win.

Speaker 2 (20:03):
Yeah, yeah, no, I have the Colts in this one.
They're so fine for a playoffspot and you know the Giants,
they need to get Shadur,absolutely.

Speaker 1 (20:10):
Absolutely.
Yeah, no brainer here, coltswill definitely get this one.
Alright, what's?

Speaker 5 (20:14):
the next one.
Next one we got the Cowboystraveling to Philly to play the
Eagles, and we all got theEagles in this one.
Well, they already clinched thedivision, I think, did they?

Speaker 2 (20:25):
No, they haven division.
I think they did they.
Uh, no, they, oh, they didn'tthis one yeah, there's.

Speaker 5 (20:28):
Yes, they're still trying to clinch the division,
so they got a lot to play for,so, uh, that's why they're gonna
win this game.
Cowboys are also sat cd, so Idon't really have anybody for
this one.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
Yeah, yeah, I'm not gonna lie.
Uh, the jalen hurts.
Not being in kind of worries mea little.
I still have the eagles winningit.
I'm just like, hey, just givethe ball to Saquon, because
weirdly, during the Commandersgame they all of a sudden were
like, oh yeah, kenny Pickett cando it.
And I'm like you have Saquonback here, why are we not
running the ball and focusing onhim?
So I just hope that they learnfrom that mistake and they focus

(21:01):
.
And you know, saquon tries tobreak the record this game
because he's already had like250 um versus the ram.
So I definitely think it wouldbe interesting if he could, you
know, break the record on thecowboys at home that would be
really cool.

Speaker 1 (21:13):
That would be interesting.
And I hear some chatter aboutsaquon.
You know, if he's able to breakeric dickerson's record, does
that make him the mvp?
But again, it's 17 games.
So you know, with that extragame I don't think you can put
as much stock into that and he'sdipped a lot lately.
So I think it's between Allenand Lamar, but we'll talk about

(21:36):
that at the end.
All right, we got the Eagles.
What's the next one?

Speaker 5 (21:39):
Next one we got the Dolphins traveling to Cleveland
to play the Browns and we allgot the Dolphins this one,
dolphins fighting for stillalive, for a playoff spot, so
they got to try and win out inCleveland.
They don't have Jameis, he'sout, and the Dolphins, yeah.
They got stuff to play for, sowe're going with them.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
Yeah, Going Miami in this one, you know, might be a
rough watch but I definitelyhave the Dolphins coming out.

Speaker 5 (22:07):
I will not be watching that game.

Speaker 1 (22:08):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, we definitely got the Dolphins.
The Dolphins can beat theBrowns.
I don't know about the Ravens, but Dolphins will take care of
business and get the Browns.
Okay, all right.
Well, what's the next one?

Speaker 5 (22:18):
Next one we got the Lions going to San Francisco to
play the Niners and yeah, thisshould be ugly because they're
trying to get revenge from thatnfc championship from last year.
So, uh, I see at least a 20point victory and we're all
going with them.
I'm surprised the spread isn'thigher.

Speaker 1 (22:38):
Me three and a half, yeah yeah, that's a low spread,
very low spread.
I would definitely go with theover on that yeah yeah, I got
the Lions this one.

Speaker 2 (22:50):
I'm not too worried about what the 49ers have to
offer this year.
I think Lions are definitelytrying to make the push for the
one seed, so they definitelyneed to get this one.

Speaker 1 (22:58):
Yeah, okay, all right .
Well, that concludes thatsegment.
So those are our no-brainers.
We'll get to our Island games alittle later.
We'll get to our Island games alittle later.
We'll get to that.
But next we are moving on tofantasy football.
So we got the showdown betweenour two Titans here.
We've got Mr Silas from Canadaand we got DC David Cook repping

(23:22):
Georgia.
So we're going to bring both ofthese guys on.
So, without further ado, let meadjust the camera here to bring
both of these guys on.
So, without further ado, let meadjust the camera here and get
both of these guys on and let'sgo with this.
All right, here we go.
What's?

Speaker 4 (23:38):
up fellas.
What's up guys?
What's going on?

Speaker 1 (23:41):
hey, hey all right, all right, let's get.
Let the, let the uh, the talkbegin here.
So thank you for taking thetime to join us.
Guys, there is a lot on theline, a whole lot on the line
here.
You guys are, first of all, couldn't be two better guys here
in the championship.
So, while we are happy for you,you definitely owe you know,

(24:03):
diego and I.
You know we feel that we pavedthe way for you.
So we did a lot of blocking andtackling and you know we took
out, you know, the Brandons ofthe world Gosh, christopher,
christopher we took him out.
Yeah, there were a number ofguys that we feel like we took

(24:25):
out for you to pave the way.
So we feel that part of thischampionship is ours, no matter
what.

Speaker 4 (24:30):
Absolutely, I'll share it with you.
Oh, I'll know.

Speaker 3 (24:38):
I really don't know man.
I faced against Josh Burke.
That was a really difficultbattle but, yeah, really
difficult for my team to gethere.

Speaker 4 (24:49):
my team struggled all year, so thank, thank you,
diego, for all that you did forus.
Dc yes, yes, the league thatthe league that we have is a
super competitive league andmany, many close games yeah,
yeah, a lot of close games, alot of close games, a lot of
close games, a lot ofcompetition.

Speaker 1 (25:10):
This is what is on the line here the Lombardi.
It is as heavy as it looks, soit's great.
It will be engraved.
So get the mic.
It will be engraved, so it willbe customized before it is
shipped to you.
So it's either going to Canadaor going to Georgia, so we'll
see it's coming to Georgia.

(25:30):
No, I don't know man.

Speaker 3 (25:33):
I don't know man.

Speaker 4 (25:34):
I'm not sure why DT go ahead and inscribe it with my
name on it.

Speaker 1 (25:39):
Go ahead and inscribe it now.

Speaker 4 (25:40):
DT Nation.
You know Silas has a good teamand he has been really moving up
the ranks each week.
But you know something Inoticed about his team this week
that was interesting.
You know Hurds and Kamara, twoof his stallions.

Speaker 3 (26:03):
Who needs them?

Speaker 4 (26:04):
You know they were too scared.
They said they tapped out we'resuiting up to play DC Nation.
We don't want any of that.

Speaker 1 (26:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (26:16):
They just stepped aside.
They said we know, there's noway, you know.
So I mean, I respect theirdecision, but you know anyway.

Speaker 3 (26:26):
Yeah, they got hurt.
Fine for this cause, man.
You know my team is heart.
My team is ready.
You know my team isbattle-tested.
We faced against contenderafter contender.
We took them all down.
David, you're next.

Speaker 4 (26:38):
Hey, one thing I will say.
I have had a hard time withSilas' team this year.
My team did really well.
Surprisingly, I've playedSolace a couple of times and he
put me to shame.
He says my team is just aregular season team.

Speaker 3 (27:04):
It's a regular season , I ain't worried, just like the
Cowboys.
Why am I 2-0 in the playoffs, with scoring 200 points and
winning a regular season team?

Speaker 4 (27:07):
It's a regular season , I ain't worried, just like the
Cowboys Buy my 2-0 in theplayoffs with scoring 200 points
and winning each contest by 60%.

Speaker 3 (27:16):
Ain't going to happen against me.

Speaker 4 (27:18):
I have to light my odds DT.

Speaker 1 (27:21):
I love it.
I love it.
Now is this.
I know, silas, a couple ofthings.
Silas had the number one pickand took McCaffrey.
Huge, huge accomplishment byyou getting here to the
championship.
So that's a huge accomplishment.
Now, david, were you the numberone seed coming into the
playoffs?

(27:41):
Yes, okay, wow.
So this is because we had 10teams make the playoffs.
So this is number one seedversus number 10.
Because, silas, weren't you thenumber 10 seed coming in?

Speaker 3 (27:52):
Yeah, I'm like the we Believe Warriors right now.
It's like the Warriors versusthe Mavericks.

Speaker 1 (27:58):
Wow, yeah, so this is the number one seed versus
number 10 seed, so this is huge.
So this is David and Goliath, although it's flipped, because
David, in this case, is Goliath.

Speaker 4 (28:13):
Well, I don't know about that, but my team, my team
, has been fortunate.
We've we've been relativelyinjury free.
And you know, derek, you and Imade a great trade.
Yes, we did, and I I that.

(28:33):
That was a trade.
You know, I traded you joshallen and james connor connor,
and those two really helped you.
Yep and uh, but malik neighborsand t higgins have been so
steady each week and I thinkthat that's been the key.
Yeah, because each week thesame guys are tough.
Yeah, but the consistency hasbeen excellent.

(28:54):
Mm-hmm.

Speaker 3 (28:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (28:56):
I hope my guys can do it one more week.

Speaker 1 (28:59):
One more week, yeah, yeah, you just needed one more
week.
And what was so crazy is youfirst of all, who trades Josh
Allen and then still, you know, gets to the championship.
But you did that.
But you had strong enough QBbehind him and you had neighbors
on your team, originally Right, and traded them to me, and then
I traded them back to you in apackage for Allen.

(29:20):
That's right.
So we did a lot of wheeling anddealing there, but, yeah, you
definitely had some amazing GMskills, both of you to get here,
and then Silas, with you nothaving your number one pick, you
know that was huge.
So it's going to be a greatmatchup.
We are excited.
So you both are going to getthis new retro Pick'em Pro
hoodie.

(29:40):
Wow, you're both getting that nomatter what.

Speaker 3 (29:42):
Thank you, man.

Speaker 1 (29:42):
So that's for first and second place, so that's
coming to you, no matter what.
For first and second place, sothat's coming to you, no matter
what.
We'll talk to you offline andfigure out what colorway you
want it, because we've got it inmany different colorways.
So we've got a cowboy colorway,we've got all types of
colorways.
So let us know what you wantthere.
But then, of course, the winneris going to be the.
You know, this isn't theLombardi, this is the Thompson.

(30:08):
It's going to look nice on myshelf.
It's going to look nice on myshelf.

Speaker 4 (30:11):
Yeah, I've already cleared off the space.
I was doing some Christmascleaning and I got it.
I've got a spot right thereready for it, man.

Speaker 5 (30:23):
Love it, love it.

Speaker 1 (30:25):
That's awesome.

Speaker 4 (30:27):
Can I ask Diego a question?
Yes, yes I would love to hearDiego.
Who does Diego think will winbetween Silas and my team this
weekend?

Speaker 5 (30:38):
No, I think I'm going to go with Silas, because his
team is strong enough to beat myteam.
So I think any team that wasstrong enough to beat my team
has the ability to win it all.
And that caused me to brag Like, hey, I lost to the champion.
I like to hear it.
That makes me look a littlebetter.

Speaker 4 (30:57):
I will say that Diego's team.
I had full confidence that Iwas going to beat them, but my
team choked and Diego's teamcame through strong.
So that was a surprising winthat I felt confident.
And that's fantasy football younever know what's going to

(31:20):
happen.

Speaker 1 (31:21):
That's true.
Never know, that's true.

Speaker 4 (31:24):
That's why it's always fun.
True, that's why it's alwaysfun, but another thing is that
now the odds do say 64% to 36%.

Speaker 3 (31:34):
Don't listen to them.

Speaker 4 (31:36):
In favor, and so Kelsey got you off to a great
start.
But Flowers.

Speaker 3 (31:43):
Oh, zay Flowers, you know what I'm.
So done with Zay Flowers.

Speaker 4 (31:46):
The Flowers wilted man, the Flowers wilted man, the
Flowers wilted under pressure.

Speaker 3 (31:52):
I'm in two leagues in the championship with Zay
Flowers and he completely chokedboth times.
It's so unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (32:01):
He's up and down for sure.
He's definitely an up-and-downreceiver.

Speaker 3 (32:05):
Yeah.
I'd like to say one more thing, though.
Yes, he's definitely anup-and-down receiver.
I'd like to say one more thing, though.
Yes, david, good luck to you.
It's an honor to be in thisposition, considering I squeaked
into the playoffs, right?
Yeah, david has a reallytalented team.
It's going to be really fun.
Fantasy football is all abouthaving fun, right?
Yeah?
Thank you, derek, for makingthis league and giving the

(32:26):
sweaters to us.
I'm very grateful for that, youknow?

Speaker 5 (32:33):
yeah, it's been a really fun league, so I can't
wait to end it off with mewinning.

Speaker 1 (32:37):
Can't wait for that.
And oh, dc, I got to previewone thing for you.
I told you I had a special hatfor you, so this is courtesy of
a wife here for Christmas.
So, jerry Jones Thompson, I wastold that the hat that he had
was getting a little stale andold and didn't quite represent
Cowboy Nation.
So we got an upgrade here.

Speaker 4 (33:00):
Show us the upgrade.

Speaker 1 (33:02):
I got a, I got a, I got a Stetson Wow.

Speaker 4 (33:11):
That's a really nice hat.

Speaker 1 (33:13):
Yes, this is a Stetson boy hat.
So now, whenever, jerry, when, when it's time for Jerry Jones
Thompson to come back, he willdefinitely Prognosticate the
proper way.
Yes, sir, you can book it.
So, david, he will definitelyprognosticate the proper way?

Speaker 4 (33:28):
Yes, sir.

Speaker 1 (33:28):
You can book it.
So, david, yes, sir, I knowyou've got him right where you
want him.

Speaker 4 (33:34):
That's right.
I've got you right where I wantyou?

Speaker 3 (33:39):
I don't know about that.
I don't know about that.

Speaker 4 (33:43):
And one last thing I want to say, if it's okay, dt.
Yes, I think I've heard youmention the name Summer.

Speaker 1 (33:51):
Yes, yes, she's behind the scenes managing the
comments and everything.
Does all our social media.

Speaker 4 (33:58):
Was that the Summer?
Who was in our league?

Speaker 1 (34:00):
Yes, yep, and she can hear you right now.

Speaker 4 (34:03):
Okay.
Well, I just want to say toSummer great job, yes, because
her team was scraping the bottomof the basement Yep Entire year
, and I would much prefer toplay Diego than to have to play
Summer this Sunday, Because herteam would wax Diego.

(34:24):
Yeah, it is on fire.
And so I just want to commendSummer for her good work and her
perseverance, because shebelieved in her team.

Speaker 1 (34:34):
Yes, she did, she did .

Speaker 4 (34:37):
And I'm just being silly with Silas.
I know he knows I love him andI love his.
He has a great team too, but Iwas so impressed that Summer
just stuck with it.
She believed in her team and, man, at the end of the year her
team just took off.

Speaker 1 (34:53):
Oh yeah, it did Really impressive.
I was lucky to get by her thelast game of the season.
I was lucky because I neededthat win for the bye and I think
Judy went like crazy that lastweek.

Speaker 3 (35:05):
And I won by less than a point.

Speaker 1 (35:07):
So I was so lucky to win.
Yeah, if she got into theplayoffs she would have been a
problem.

Speaker 4 (35:13):
I know that's right.
Dt and Diego and all of youjust thank you for letting us be
a part of this.
It was such a fun time and Ihope that we can get invited to
come back again next year andI'm looking forward to defending
my championship.
And, diego, you know, let thebest team win.

(35:36):
All right, and thanks foreverything, derek and Diego.
We appreciate y'all so much.

Speaker 1 (35:40):
And you bet we appreciate you guys All right.
Well, good luck to you, andwe'll be talking to you in a
couple of days Sounds great.

Speaker 4 (35:47):
Good luck you and we'll be, talking to you in a
couple of days Sounds great.

Speaker 1 (35:50):
Good luck, all right.
Bye-bye, all right, thank you, cool, okay, all right, so that
was awesome.
Let's see, we're going to go toour island picks in a second.
But let's see, do we have anyquestions?
Summer, nope, okay, nope, arewe are clear?
All right, good deal, good deal, and we will be touching on, uh

(36:11):
, college football playoffs nextepisode too.
So just so you know that, allright, well, let's, uh, we're
gonna go into our island pickshere next in a minute.
So, uh, we'll have a quicklittle, quick little uh
transition and we're gonna go toour island.
We're going to go to the islandman.
I know I have the cowboy hat.

(36:35):
We're going to the island.
All right, we are back.
We are back, we are on theisland man.
Yes, yes, all right, don't beconfused by my accent here.
Okay, so let's get into theseisland pics and let's bring the
one and only Brianna on.
Brianna, what's up?

(36:56):
All right, how you doing.

Speaker 6 (36:59):
I'm good.
It's a beautiful day outsidetoday, so I'm just in such a
good mood.

Speaker 1 (37:03):
Good, good, good, fantastic.
I'm sure I made your moodbetter with the, the accent, the
island accent.
I know it was for sure, yes, Iloved it thank you, see you,
thank you.
Thank you so much, brie.
All right, cool, cool.
Well, we have got six games.
First of all, that hoodie'slooking fire.
You got the yep.

(37:24):
The detroit lions themed yeah,themed.
Pick'em Pros retro hoodie.
So it's looking good.
Yes, those will be available.
Those will be available by ourKing show.
So we're working out a fewthings here to be able to
produce a larger quantity.
They've passed all the qualitytests and I think they're good
to go.
We've gotten rave reviews onthem so we'll be rolling those

(37:45):
out soon.
So those of you watching you'llbe able to get those in a
couple of weeks.
We'll have them available, allright.
Well, I think three gamesseparates us.
So this is the final week ofour matchup between the four of
us.
So Diego has got a one-gamelead.
Chris is one game back fromDiego, diego's in the lead.
Chris is one game back fromDiego, diego's in the lead.

(38:06):
Chris is one game back.
Then Bree is just one game backfrom there.
So Bree has gained a game fromlast week.
That Cowboys pick was huge.
You were right on that Cowboysgame, so that got you into it.
You chipped into that lead andthen I'm just right there behind
you guys.
So of course, that Panthers winwas bold and great for me and

(38:26):
really stole the show last week.
But you know I won't take theshine from you guys.
It's all about you guys, allright.
So here we go.
Let's go into our first islandgame here.
We've got the Green Bay Packerstraveling to Minnesota to play
the Vikings.
The Packers was the team that Iboldly said was the best in the

(38:48):
NFC.
So of course y'all know where Istand on this game.
Bree, where are you on thisgame?

Speaker 6 (38:53):
I have the Packers on this game.

Speaker 1 (38:56):
Okay, yeah, Bree is with me on the Packers.
We're both on this side.
I think you guys are on theopposite side.

Speaker 5 (39:03):
Diego, where do you stand?
I'm with the Vikings in thisgame.
They're at home, they're hotright now.
Diego, where do you stand?
I'm with the Vikings in thisgame.
They're at home, they're hotright now.
I'm just going with them.
I just have the confidence inSam Darnold and the defense and
Justin Jefferson and all thereceivers they got.
I'm just confident in them.
Home field advantage as well.

Speaker 2 (39:24):
Okay, I believe that the Vikings definitely want
their fight for the 1C to comedown in Week 18.
So they're going to come outwith very great aggression in
this game.
I believe they're going to beatthe Packers.
It's going to be a close one,but you know, if Jordan Love has
his typical you knowinterception here or there, I

(39:45):
think the Vikings are going toget this one and they're going
to have another cool celebrationto end the game in the end zone
.
Ooh, okay.

Speaker 1 (39:53):
That happens a lot in Minnesota.
They seem to get lucky and havea lot of miracle finishes, but
I don't think that's happening.
Man, jordan Love and those guys, they're firing on all
cylinders.
They're a complete team, they're ready, they smell blood
in the water and they're goingto go in there, ready to make a
statement and show.
I think the Vikings have beenplaying a punching above their

(40:15):
weight and I think this is agame that's slightly out of
their, out of their weight class.
They should not be a two lossteam at this point.
So they're just ready to goahead and get another another
loss.
That's my take.
Uh, brie, any, any othercomments on on this one?

Speaker 6 (40:31):
yeah.
So the vikings, they have aneight game winning streak.
So I think that's about to cometo the end of that because the
packers they've been hot.
They just had their firstshutout game of the whole season
, like everywhere.
So I think the packers aren'tgonna let them get this ninth
game winning streak.

Speaker 1 (40:46):
Yeah, yeah, totally agree.
All right.
So me and Bree are on the sameside here, taking you guys down
and boom, just getting anothergame on you.
So you guys got to watch outhere, all right, so let's go to
the next one.
We've got the Broncos versusthe Bengals.
Okay, man, now this is a toughone.

(41:07):
This can really go either way,and again, we are split on this
one.
Bree, who do you have in thisone?

Speaker 6 (41:13):
I have the Broncos because Bo Nix has really just
been playing pretty good, for Imean, he's been pretty good.
I feel like he reminds me ofPeyton Manning a little bit
right now, in this time of hiscareer, so I think he's really
just going to focus on this gameand get that win.

Speaker 1 (41:29):
Okay, all right, yep, he's looking good.
Diego, who do you have?

Speaker 5 (41:34):
I'm also going with the Broncos, the Bengals.
They just let me down too manytimes in these games.
It seems like earlier on in theseason when they had to have it
, they kept on losing.
Then they played a few badteams here.
These last few games they'vebeen able to win.
But the Broncos, they're a goodteam.
They're 9-6 and fighting for aplayoff spot.

(41:55):
So I think Bo Nix will playlike Peyton Manning against this
awful defense and get the win.

Speaker 1 (42:02):
Okay okay, Young guns are on the same side on this
one.
Where do you stand on this one,Chris?

Speaker 2 (42:10):
Look, I'm liking the run that the Bengals are putting
together with Joe Burrow andJabbar and I do think it's going
to be really interesting seeingthe matchup between Jabbar and
Pat Sertain.
But I don't know.
I like how the Bengals aregetting towards the end of this
season and, you know, I thinkthat they'll come away with a
win.
Now, are they still going tomake the playoffs?

(42:32):
That's yet to be seen, but Istill think they want to go out,
you know, with some good thingsto say, like towards the end of
the season, yeah, okay.

Speaker 1 (42:40):
All right.
Well, yeah, I'm with you, man.

Speaker 5 (42:42):
Old heads unite, all right unite, all right, yeah,
yeah, you a little older headright there.

Speaker 2 (42:50):
But all right, all right, you know 22 over here,
guys, just just I basically look22 yeah, I'm there with you,
man, I'm with you.

Speaker 1 (42:56):
So we got the teens they're the teens and we're.
We're in the 20s, you know I'msaying 20s, 20s, unite, yes, yes
.
So cincinnati bangles yeah, man, they're looking good.
Ooh, everybody better Pray thatthey don't get in the playoffs,
because that's the dangerousteam right there.
So, yeah, as long as they stayout, then you know, I think

(43:17):
things will go the way that mostpeople think.
But the Bengals are tough.
The Bengals are not scared.
The defense has been shaky, butthe Bengals, they're at home,
they.
But the Bengals, they're athome.
They need to have this one.
I think they find a way to well, they do find a way to get this
one All right.
So we're split on this one.
There's another one where weinch a little closer.
The next game where we're split2-2, the Tennessee Titans

(43:39):
versus the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Now, this is probably more of acoin flip one I think we just
happen to be.
The Jags are just the one gamefavorite.
So I don't think anybody's boldabout this one here.
But, bree, what side are you?

Speaker 6 (43:53):
on for this one.
Yeah, I have the Titans on thisone because they're on a four
game losing streak, so I thinkit's their time to get a game.
And they're both.
They both play the same way,but the Jaguars, they struggle
more with their consistency, with their offense and
everything.
So for me it just makes sensefor the Titans to win this game,
since they're on a losingstreak.

Speaker 1 (44:13):
Okay, yeah, I'm going to break that streak, and not
really.
They've still been trying towin, so you know they're not
like some of the other teamsthere.
But okay, chris, who do youhave?

Speaker 2 (44:25):
Out of the Titans in this one.
I'm just I don't know.
It's very hard to pick thisgame.
It's just, you know, hardwatching the season y'all.
It's not going to be great.

Speaker 1 (44:34):
So, I definitely have a tendency in this, so you're
not going to be watching thisone specifically Not at all, not
at all.

Speaker 2 (44:40):
Okay, all right man Anybody who willfully watches
this game.
You love the game of footballto an intensity that we should
be concerned.

Speaker 1 (44:49):
You are a fan.
You are a real fan.
If you're watching this one.
You're a real fan, for sure, much more than we are, and we
have a show.
Alright, alright, diego.
Who do you have?

Speaker 5 (45:03):
I'm going with the Jags in this one.
Both these teams are reallysimilar, but the Jags I just
have more confidence in theirroster.
They're not saying their rosteris great, but I mean they do.
Have you know, etienne andBigsby in the backfield and
Brian Thomas at the receiver.
He's been playing well, so I'mgoing to go with them.

(45:24):
I've never heard of him, brianThomas.

Speaker 6 (45:27):
Brian Thomas he's playing great.

Speaker 3 (45:29):
That's LSU fan.
He's playing great.

Speaker 2 (45:31):
Thomas.
He's having one of the betterrookie seasons out of the rookie
receivers, and him and Malikare again the two best rookie
receivers other than the guy inArizona.
Sorry, bree, I don't mean totalk bad about Marvin Harrison,
but he's locking them up.
They've been doing their thingOkay.

Speaker 1 (45:50):
All right, yeah, I got the Jags as well.
The Jags and that amazing homefield advantage is going to pull
through and I think thatstadium is going to be rocking
man, we might have to make thedrive down there Might be
rocking for them to lose, sothey can get a higher draft pick
I

Speaker 2 (46:08):
wonder how much tickets.

Speaker 1 (46:12):
I wonder how much tickets will be for this.
One Might be cheaper than thePanthers tickets were last year.
Yeah, last year.
Alright, okay, alright.
So let's split on that.
So let's get to some slightlybetter games here.
This next game we've gotAtlanta Falcons.
Breeze Falcons travel toWashington to play the
commanders, the team that upsetthe Eagles last week.

(46:34):
So I have in that vision that Ihave, am going with the Atlanta
Falcons.
Yes, I am not going with thehome team that had the great win
there.
No, no, no.
You guys are fooled by that.
As usual.
Y'all are looking at.
You got recency bias here.
You got to look at, you got toanticipate what's going to

(46:54):
happen here.
Okay, and I see the Falcons man.
They got that bad boy.
Michael Pinnock Jr has takenover, looked amazing last week.
He's going to march in thereand snatch that win.
Commander is going to take himlightly.
And the Falcons have taken overfirst place in the division.
So they've got to win.
They've got to get this win andcontinue to win and hold the

(47:16):
Bucs off.
And, yeah, I think they getthis win.
So, bree, you going to switchto my side.

Speaker 6 (47:23):
Unfortunately, as much as I love the Falcons, no,
the Commanders.
They want the NFC East title,so I don't think they're going
to lose that game.
And the Falcons, they're not asgood as the Commanders are,
Unfortunately.
As much as I hate to say that, yeah, it's just no.

Speaker 1 (47:41):
Okay.
All right All right, okay, andWashington is a four and a half
point favorite, all right.
So their home team, they'restill in it, they can still win.
That division had a big win, sothey're going to ride.
That momentum says breathe.
What do you say, diego?

Speaker 5 (47:54):
Yeah, I agree, I'm gonna go with the commanders.
The Falcons don't have the bestdefense.
I think their offensecommanders offense is going to
go is going to go crazy in thisone.
Kyle Pitts can't catch the ball.
Sorry, that's just fact.

(48:15):
The one interception Penix had,it went right off of his hands
into the defenders.
I'm going with the commanders.

Speaker 2 (48:25):
I'm sorry.
The fact that they beat theGiants of all teams that's
giving you confidence going intothe next week versus the
commanders, a team who had fiveturnovers in a great Saquon
Barkley first quarter and stillmanaged to win that game.
I'm sorry.
What are we doing here, man?
I'm very concerned.
Look, we got the rookie of theyear.

(48:47):
This is going to be hiscoordination of the Sunday night
football.
This is going to be hiscrowding moment.
And like yeah in a season fullof crowding moments.
I think that Jaden Daigles isgoing to do his thing again,
Even if it's close.
I trust Jaden.
If I have to do his thing, Allright.

Speaker 1 (49:01):
All right, we're going to see.
It's going to be the rookie QBshowdown here.
All right, we're going to seewhat happens here.
But I'm on an island with thatone.
Okay, another game where I'm onan island by myself.
The Las Vegas Raiders travel toNew Orleans to play the Saints.
I've got the Raiders in thisone Only because the Raiders
seem to be still going for wins.

(49:23):
Coming off the win last week, now you would think they'd be
trying to tank, trying to getShador or whatnot, but they're
clearly trying to win.
So that's the only reason I'mpicking them.
It's because both teams shouldbe tanking and they look like a
team that wants to win.
So that's who I'm going with.
We'll switch the order here.
Who you got, diego?

Speaker 5 (49:43):
I don't think the Saints are tanking.
I think the Saints are tanking.
I think the Saints are tryingto win just because they've got
a few games throughout thecourse of the year and even
though they are heavily injured,I still believe that the home
field advantage is a big thing.
The crowd's going to be rockingand I just this isn't a great

(50:04):
game.
I'm just going to pick theSaints coin flip because of
their home field.

Speaker 2 (50:08):
Okay.
But yeah, I'm picking theSaints in this one.
I just think the Saints aregoing to do their whole
purgatory act, finish with like78 wins and then, you know, head
to the off season thinking like, hey, what do we need to do?

Speaker 5 (50:21):
to do to all the people that were hurt.

Speaker 2 (50:23):
Exactly.
We signed all the hurt peoplenot drafted quarterback and just
stay in perpetual midness.
So that's kind of what we'regonna see from the new world
sounds like the saints.

Speaker 1 (50:34):
Okay, what about you, brie?

Speaker 6 (50:36):
yeah, I have the saints for this one.
The raiders, they're not good.
I know they're still going forthe wins, but I don't think
they're gonna win this game, even though they only have like
one player out right now andit's just a guard player.
So I feel like it's gonna belike a good game, but not too
good, or everyone's gonna gocrazy for it okay, all right.

Speaker 1 (50:52):
Okay, everyone's going with the home team except
me.
This will be another one whereI climb in there.
Oh, snatched at the end, I likeit.
I like it.
Okay, all right.
The last island game before weget to our mvp race debate.
We've got the carolina pantherscoming off of that win that I
predicted that I called on anisland last week.

(51:13):
They now travel to Tampa toplay the Bucs.
Yeah, and let's see.
So it appeared that we hadChris on an island for this one,
but we may have some shiftinghere, so let's go around.
Let's start with Bree.
Who do you have in this one?
Yeah, I have the Bucs for thisone, but we may have some
shifting here, so let's goaround.
Let's start with Bree.
Who do you have in this one?

Speaker 6 (51:30):
Yeah, I have the Bucs for this one because they beat
the Panthers last time 26-23 inovertime.
So I think it was a close game.
But I think the Bucs are goingto win it again, just because
the Panthers don't really have alot going for them right now
anyway.
So I'm going to for them rightnow anyway, and let's go with
the Bucs on this one.

Speaker 1 (51:47):
Okay, all right, we're going with the Bucs on
this one, diego.
Mr Supposed-to-be CarolinaPanther, who do you have in this
one, diego, for?

Speaker 5 (51:55):
the record.
We should have won that gameagainst Bucs.
We just got the first down, wewere in field goal range and
then Chuba fumbled while we werein field goal range.
We were about to kick it, soreal ones know that we should
have won that game.
I just had to get that off mychest because that was a pretty
bad game.

Speaker 6 (52:12):
Anyway.

Speaker 5 (52:13):
I'm picking the Bucs for this one.
This is a part of my strategy.
A part of my strategy.
This is what I do, part of yourstrategy.
Okay, yeah, the Bucs arefighting for the NFC South.

Speaker 1 (52:23):
Still, and yeah, and the still and uh, yeah, and the
bucks, bucks at home, they gotthe home field advantage.
So, yeah, I'm going with them.
Wow, you're going with them.
Okay, very interesting,interesting man.
Well, you know, we may have to,we may have to not produce any
more of these.
So we had.
So johnny yo, if you'rewatching, johnny yo coined the

(52:43):
phrase diego army last, and hecoined that when Diego was down
several games to Dez and me andthen Diego went on a run and won
.
A whole bunch in a row, coinedthe phrase Diego Army and won.
So we've got this shirt for himand his Panther fandom.
So that's the shirt.
And then the back right there.

(53:07):
It's cool.
So his Panther theme saysloyalty.
Wow, carolina panthers.
But here he is going againstthe team.
So, chris, that's for you.

Speaker 2 (53:15):
Man, appreciate your shot, your shirt go ahead and
give us your pick all right, Iam picking the carolina panthers
because one, we do have a lotof momentum going into this game
.
I mean, we kind of broke themoral victory streak last week
with being the Cardinals and Ido think that seeing the walk
off with Truba Hubbard, thatdefinitely was encouraging.

(53:38):
Now is Mike Evans going to, youknow, get us a thousand yards
against us.
Most likely, most likely.
But you know, I think that ifwe make enough plays and the
defense locks in for a coupledrives, we're definitely going
to win this game.
And you know, as a Panthers fanI've kind of grown past the
whole like oh, we're going totank and then we're going to get

(53:59):
a high draft pick.
Typically how it goes is wealways win a couple games you
don't expect and then we loseour draft position, so pretty
sure that's going to happen thisweek and then we're going to
lose next week.

Speaker 1 (54:09):
Okay, and I'm going to go Panthers.
I'm going Panthers.
On this, I'm changing my pick.
I initially was going Bucks,I'm going Panthers.
Excuse me, carolina Panthers.
Yep, that's my pick man.
I picked them last week.
They won.
I'm going with them again, allright, yeah.

Speaker 5 (54:29):
So, Diego, see what happens, man, We'll see man All
right?

Speaker 1 (54:33):
Okay, all right, carolina Panthers man, we'll
pull this one out and chase youguys down.
All right, you guys ready totalk?
Mvp.
Yep All right, let's get intothis.
This is going to be all fun, okay, mvp race Diego, start us
off.
Man who you got MVP.

Speaker 5 (54:49):
I'm going with Josh Allen for MVP.
He's won all the big games, beat Patrick Holmes only QB to
do that beat the Lions they onlylost two, though he's beat the
two best teams in the league.
Just these crazy games.

(55:09):
He's putting up with the threepassing touchdowns, three
rushing, then two passing, tworushing against Detroit, and
he's just been balling all year, had these crazy stats and just
doing his thing.
So I think if you win the biggames and you put up the good

(55:31):
stats, I think you should be MVP.

Speaker 1 (55:34):
Okay, okay, now hold on.
Let us pause for that, becauseI think we got three questions.
So, summer, can you put thosequestions up?
We know you got Josh Allenthere, but I want to answer
these questions because he'sthere.
So okay, that, uh, for my wife.
Uh, exactly, who is my team?
Um, so it it's complex.

(55:56):
Uh, I would say my team overallis the carolina.
Well, you know, it's multiple,I've got, I've got a couple
teams, so so I'd say CarolinaPanthers are the hometown team.
Ok, so that's one.
And then Green Bay Packers are,you know, my team.
I claimed the Green Bay Packersseveral, several years ago.

Speaker 5 (56:17):
I was a free agent I went.

Speaker 1 (56:18):
I went through a very detailed free agent process as
I was picking my team and formany reasons that I don't have
time to go into for the showright now, I selected the Green
Bay Packers, but by living here, being a Carolina Panther, I
went to believe you know, thefirst game they ever had and
whatnot, in the Bank of AmericaStadium and all that.
So you know, but definitely aPanther.
So those are the top two that Ihave many other that I like,

(56:41):
all right, so that's so.
Those are some of my teams, butknow, I'm I'm more of an nfl
guy.
I'm an nfl guy and of courseit's my pick over everything.
So my pick overrides everything.
So that's that one, okay.
What's the other?
I claim everybody, okay.

(57:04):
What's the other one?
The other one is, I think, diego.
Sounds like he's from anyisland, that's you.
Oh man, yes, I definitely soundlike I'm from an island.

Speaker 2 (57:16):
I don't know what island, but it's an island
Definitely.
Okay, any other he might be theonly resident, but yeah.

Speaker 1 (57:25):
Oh, there we go.
And then Mikey asked Bree, what's your thoughts on that
shirt?
So I wonder which one?
Is it probably the one that Iheld up?
The Diego Army shirt.
What's your thoughts on theDiego Army shirt?
Do you want to show that, chris?

Speaker 6 (57:39):
Yeah, I think it's an amazing shirt, but it's no
longer for Diego because he'snot loyal anymore.
Oh man.

Speaker 4 (57:46):
Yes yes.

Speaker 5 (57:49):
It's just a strategy to being a Panther fan.
You gotta have strategies tomake your team win going against
them yeah sometimes you gottado things you're not proud of
for your team to win okay, that's his logic there, bert,
that is his logic, okay, alright.

Speaker 1 (58:07):
Okay, you got to do things you're not proud of for
your team to win, you know?
Okay, that's his logic there, bird, that is his logic, okay,
all right.
Okay, so great questions.
Thank you for those.
Oh, and then thoughts on Lamar.
So we're going to get into that, mike, we're about to.
Whoa man, we're about to diveinto that.

Speaker 2 (58:34):
So hold on just one second and then if you still
have any follow-up questions onlamar, let us know.
But by by the time um, thethree of us go here, I think
you'll hear a lot about lamar.
Okay, so go ahead, chris.
So due to the early seasonissues and dysfunction and with
how well josh allen was playing,I'm not gonna lie, I was a big
josh allen for mvp guy, but but, seeing Lamar Jackson still put
up these crazy numbers, still dohis thing, and in recent weeks
it looks like he's about to winhis division.

(58:55):
I'm just going to say that LamarJackson's my MVP.
Now detractors are going to sayoh, he has Derrick Henry, he
has all these weapons.
Do you know how.
And again, lamar Jackson's myfavorite quarterback.
So I'm going to say this Do youunderstand how many years we've
been waiting for a Lamar hasgood weapons argument?
In all the MVP conversation, all I'm going to say is, yes,
derek Henry has played well, butlet's look at former MVPs and

(59:18):
the great players that they hadIn 2007,.
Who did Tom Brady?
Who was Tom Brady throwing to?

Speaker 1 (59:23):
There was a guy, randy.

Speaker 2 (59:24):
Moss.
Yeah, caught 26 touchdowns.
They went 18 and out bet.
Okay, pain manning.
You know who did he have?
Edrin james, you know marvinharrison jr.
Hall of famers, correct.
So what is?
Derrick henry and zay flowersand mark andrews.
That's not really moving me with, you know, lamar sobbing me an
mvp.
I'm so sorry and, again, I lovethat josh allen and the bills

(59:45):
are doing so great and youthey've won all these games and
you know Josh Allen is throwingarm punts.
You know, to kind of help outthe defense.
However, I think that Lamarshould win MVP.
I again.
It's just, it's a matter ofrising any time you watch him
play.
Like, I'm not going to say thatJosh isn't deserving this year

(01:00:06):
and is going to be one of theclosest races I've ever seen.
But I think Lamar, with thefact that he's going to win the
AFC North and how he's playedbasically since the bye,
basically this whole season,it's kind of been like if he
doesn't play well, all of asudden this team falls
completely apart.
So I definitely have the Ravensin this one.

Speaker 1 (01:00:26):
Okay, all right, sogo , yes, lamar.
So diego has josh allen, chrishas lamar, uh, but although he's
been up and down, so uh chrishas been on a little bit of a
emotional roller coaster.
Vivian green, uh, up and down,so you know, week to week that's
fluctuated, but that's okay.
Got uh lamar jackson today.
So let's see uh, brie, who, whodo you have?

Speaker 6 (01:00:49):
yeah, so I have josh allen for mvp.
At first I was with lamarjackson, but alan really secured
it for me because, I mean, hehas the most accuracy with his
throws and he's always there forhis team.
He I don't know, he's like themost efficient quarterback in
the end zone red zone, samething but Lamar Jackson, he's

(01:01:11):
the most dynamic runner, but Ifeel like and Lamar's had the
same stats almost every year, soI feel like he's not really
doing much anymore, like he'sjust there, I feel like I don't
know.
So I just like Josh Allen more.
I feel like he's more of avaluable player than Lamar.

Speaker 1 (01:01:26):
OK, ok.
So that's another for JoshAllen, and yeah.
So look, lamar Jackson.
Lamar has the new perfume.
Okay, love it.
You know what I'm saying?
I'm a buy it.

Speaker 3 (01:01:43):
So I am a Lamar.

Speaker 1 (01:01:44):
Jackson fan, and I want to smell like a woman too.

Speaker 4 (01:01:47):
So I'm with you on that.
I'm with you on that LamarJackson fan and.

Speaker 1 (01:01:49):
I want to smell like a woman too, so I'm with you on
that.
I'm with you on that, lamar.
You are my guy, but you got toget to a Super Bowl.
You've already won two MVPs.
It's the same rule that I hadfor Joker in the NBA when he won
two MVPs and had not gotten tothe finals.
And I'm also.

(01:02:09):
I'm sorry, but thatlight-skinned boogeyman up in
Kansas City okay, you've been.
Those knees get a little shakywhen he comes around, and until
you handle that boogeyman inKansas City, I cannot in good
conscious vote for you to getthat MVP until you get over that

(01:02:30):
light-skinned man in KansasCity.

Speaker 2 (01:02:31):
How did Josh Allen face that light-skinned
boogeyman?
What are we doing?
He beat him.
He beat him in the regularseason.

Speaker 1 (01:02:38):
He beat him and then, when he lost to him in the
playoffs.
It was one of the most epicgames ever.
Went back and forth, back andforth, back and forth, Lamar.

Speaker 2 (01:02:52):
Jackson, are you talking about who loses better,
like they still lose?

Speaker 1 (01:02:55):
Lamar Jackson still has the title of playing poorly
in the big games.
Josh Allen doesn't have thattitle.
He's played great Josh.

Speaker 2 (01:03:04):
Allen's played great.
Also, it's the other Otherteams fall with Josh Allen.
He loses to the better playerin the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (01:03:15):
And the other thing that I can't unsee is that
Raiders loss man that Raidersloss at home.
You can't forget about theJameis loss too, oh yeah, the
Jameis loss oh my God, I meangosh Jameis basically got kicked
off the Browns three gameslater.
I'm saying buddy out of nothing.
They lost the worst team in theleague, in the Raiders and the
big bad Ravens.

(01:03:36):
So yeah, yeah, but yeah, I justagain, I cannot unsee an old
broke-down Kelsey and aboogeyman Mahomes on one leg
hobbling into Baltimore and kindof breaking them down like that
.
Just like I can't unsee Ant andwhat happened when slow Euro

(01:03:58):
step Luca went and made him looksmall.
I cannot unsee that.
So again, I'm rooting for Lamar.
If he overcomes and gets to theSuper Bowl and has another big
year, I'll be the first to votefor him.
But right now he's on probation.
Until he overcomes that hump.

Speaker 6 (01:04:14):
All right, I will let you go, Josh Allen.
They beat the Lions, so I feellike that's a pretty big
accomplishment.
So you know, that's just apreview for the Super Bowl,
though.
So the Lions will win the SuperBowl, but you know.

Speaker 1 (01:04:27):
That's right.
That's right, that was huge.
Yeah, you go up to them if youjust whisper Mahomes, okay, all
right, so we're just going tosay listen, we're going to talk
about a dude who loses better.

Speaker 2 (01:04:38):
That's all I'm going to say.
Like they are both losing tothe same player.

Speaker 1 (01:04:45):
Okay, who's your favorite football team?

Speaker 2 (01:04:47):
Carolina Panthers.

Speaker 1 (01:04:48):
Okay, so you know all about losing better.

Speaker 2 (01:04:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:04:52):
Losing with style points yeah yeah, world victory.

Speaker 2 (01:04:57):
You got me there.
You got me there.
I'm going to let you at it.
I'm going to let you at it.
Sorry to tell us, man, losing, losing.

Speaker 5 (01:05:04):
We lose with the best of us.

Speaker 2 (01:05:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:05:09):
We lose with the best of them.
We lose with the best of them.
Fun debate, fun conversation.
Can't wait to see these finaltwo weeks.
It's going to be fun to watchwithin the playoffs.
Oh my goodness, it's going tobe so much fun to watch.
We can settle it on the field.
That's where it should besettled.

Speaker 2 (01:05:24):
Can't wait to see that.
Let's see who might fall to myhomes this year.

Speaker 1 (01:05:27):
It will be the Arrowhead Invitational again,
for sure.
Well, bree, pleasure to haveyou, as always.

Speaker 6 (01:05:35):
Yep, thank you for having me.

Speaker 1 (01:05:36):
Yes, thanks for being on.
We will see you here in personFebruary 8th for our Super Bowl
show, our Super Bowl pre-show,and again we'll be here in
studio in a couple of weeks, sowe'll, of course, have you there
and a whole lot on social mediaover the next several weeks.

Speaker 6 (01:05:54):
So have a very great new year and we'll talk to you
soon.
All right, bye.
Thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (01:05:58):
All right, thank you, bye.
All right, all right, guys.
Well, almost time to get out ofhere.
We've got one final segment.
We are starting a new segmenthere quickly with.
We're going to have a fan onevery single week where we end

(01:06:19):
our show with a fan.
So if you would like to be ourspecial fan and join us at the
end of the show, let us know, reach out to us, dm us and we'll
get that schedule going and tryto get you on.
But right now all of you knowBrandon he's got the most
knowledge of anyone that we know, so we love to have him on.
So we're going to come on andgrill him and ask him a couple
of questions real quick about alot of what we talked about

(01:06:39):
today.
So let's give it to our man, brandon.
What's going on?
My man?

Speaker 7 (01:06:46):
What's going on?

Speaker 1 (01:06:47):
Hey, man, good to see you.
As always, you have a goodChristmas, man.

Speaker 7 (01:06:51):
Yeah, I did Good good man.

Speaker 1 (01:06:54):
Well, good to see you , yeah, man.
So, man, what's your thoughtson the whole NFL taking over
Christmas?

Speaker 7 (01:07:03):
on the NBA, man, Christmas on the NBA man.
So I feel like the NFL won theviewership race, but I think the
NBA won the product Okay.
So it's like, yes, I saw whereit's like, oh, they had 24

(01:07:26):
million viewers to just buy forthe NBA.
It's like, yeah, that's cool, but the NBA games were kind of
better overall than two NFLgames.
So it was like, while the NFLwon the viewership war, but the
NBA won the product war, yeah, okay.

Speaker 1 (01:07:46):
Okay, yeah, the NFL, the numbers, you can nfl the
numbers, you can't argue thenumbers for sure.
But all those games were, uh,you know, the games were, were
definitely none of them wereclose.
And then the game last night, even though it wasn't a
christmas game, my goodness, sixto three, uh, that that game
was so bad we didn't even talkabout it here on the show today.

(01:08:08):
Yeah, so it was pretty, uh,pretty bad.
So, yeah, the nba definitelyhad some better, better games,
for sure, uh, there, uh, mvp man, who you got so I have josh
allen to win vp.

Speaker 7 (01:08:25):
Like when I look at it, I kind of like the whole I
like to do theories on MVPawards in sports so I was like
I'm thinking like, as I keeplooking at all this was, I'm
like I think what's getting lostwith the MVP award is like what

(01:08:45):
is the criteria?
Because one year you're sayingthis, one year you're saying
this.
It's like it's not reallyconsistent.
Is it best player on the bestteam?
Is it best player in the league?
Is it just numbers and stats?
Is it team accomplishments?

(01:09:06):
Is it both?
So it's like, and then you lookat, well, lamar got two, he
shouldn't win another one.
It's like josh, josh gotta beone.
It's like, okay, we give it tojosh.
Then like, who's next up?
Yeah, like, is it we trying tosearch for the next court?
Well, my home's got and Lamar'sgot two and Josh got one.

(01:09:29):
So it's like, okay, maybe JoeBurrow's up next.
So it's like I mean that's cool, but it's kind of like the NBA,
right?
So like I think what happens alot of times is, once you start
winning multiple MVPs, we kindof get tired of seeing the same
people winning MVP awards.

(01:09:51):
Yeah, we do, but it's kind ofcrazy because it's like I look
at NBA, I'm like, wait a minute,If Jordan won like five MVPs,
he could have easily had abouteight or nine of them.
Oh yeah, for sure.
Lebron could have had eight orseven or eight of them.

(01:10:14):
Kobe could have had two or threeof them yeah shaq could have
had two or three, right, umyokich could have like three or
four.
You look in the NFL Brady couldhave had more MVPs, mahomes
could have had more MVPs, lamarcould have had more.

(01:10:34):
I think a lot of times it'slike there's this thing called
bonus fatigue.
I think a lot of times thatkind of get in a way of
consistent dominance, oh yeah.
And then the voters are like, well, he's gotta do something
different or somethingcatastrophic for us to vote for

(01:10:56):
him.
Like right, gotta be somethingnew.
Like either you have a careeryear, your team has a career
season, a record-breaking season, something record-breaking you
gotta to do to put in.
And I'm like, well, if he's justgreat every year, like I can't,
I don't want to punish the guyfor being great every year.
Like with Jokic, it's like he'snearly average of a

(01:11:18):
triple-double, but you don'twant to give him MVP.
And it's like, no, you got togive him MVP because he's
putting up, he's averagingnearly triple-double, but he's
also shooting.
He's going 50-50-80 or 50-50-90or whatever, yeah, so it's like
you got to look at that pointand he's keeping the Nuggets
afloat in the NBA playoff race.

(01:11:39):
So it's like it's just kind ofcrazy, because I felt like no
matter if it's football, basketball, hockey, baseball,
it's like the mvp award criteriagets changed every year, it
does, and I would just liketrying to I'm trying to still
understand, like why yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:11:59):
yeah, we definitely need some more strict criteria
on that.
But uh, yeah, hopefully we'llget that at some point.
But you know it's truly a it'sobviously a quarterback award,
so we know that's happened manyyears ago and then I really
typically kind of goes to, youknow, the quarterback that's on
the best team or with the bestrecord and if, if one

(01:12:21):
quarterback has amazing numbers, that kind of have the edge.
But yeah, it's kind of drilleddown to that but need some some
stricter criteria.
So, definitely agree on that, man, well, um man, hey, I got
one final thing.
If we get you out of here,we're going to sign off because
we're at our time.
But who?
Who wins the uh inauguralpick'em pro fantasy football
championship?
Is it, is it uh david, or is itsilas?

(01:12:42):
I'm going with Silas.

Speaker 7 (01:12:45):
Okay, I think a lot of times.
Sometimes, like in sports, sometimes an underdog is better
than a favorite.

Speaker 3 (01:12:56):
Uh-huh.

Speaker 7 (01:12:57):
And so I think by him scratching his claw and waiting
for the finals as a lower seed, kind of like it gives him the
edge in this, okay.
And four is like fantasyfootball, like I kind of took
this one kind of hard becauseobviously, you know, I finished

(01:13:22):
in the top three, but it's likeI ain't getting the job done.
So, yeah, now it's like okay,I'm thinking too much.
You know, like I would just belike you know what, let me just
like wait a while.
But I'm like, nah, like ithurts so much.
So I'm like I, I started kindof looking at what do great

(01:13:45):
people do?
So I'm like, okay, what didMahomes do when he lost the
Super Bowl?
Okay, he watched film.
So it's like okay.
So, like, right now, I probablygot like note.
I got like a lot of players I'mlooking forward to picking next
year on my notes, uh-huh.
So Are you ready?
Yeah, so, like you ready?

(01:14:07):
Yeah, so like it's never tooearly to plan ahead, it's not.
So all I'm saying is for nextyear, like anybody that I feel
like I lost to, that I shouldn'thave lost to.
It's like, look out, okay, Ilike it, I love it and hopefully

(01:14:27):
next year I start off at thetop and I end at the top.

Speaker 1 (01:14:32):
Okay, all right.
Well, you putting the league onnotice.
I like that, and that's the wayto do it.
Years that I've lost, especially if it was earlier.
I really did the same thing andtried to pay attention to guys
that you know were up and comingand that other people may not
be noticing.
So that's a great strategy, man.
Well, we're out of time, man.
