Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is easy money.
I'm getting everything that Ilost on the Lions game back in

this game.
I pick them like a pro globaltrial ball talk a bigger role.

All right, ladies and gentlemen, welcome back.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
Yeah, yeah, that was cool Courtesy of my wife.
Yeah, c-pain is actually reallytough.
Like I was like huh, I've nevereven thought that's tough.
Yeah, yeah, that's right, wefigured we'd throw that at you
live, hey, shout out to chuckglobal.
And uh, tavaris jordan, uh, theproducer extraordinaire for
that, uh, pick'em pro song man, that's fire can't wait for that

(01:17):
yeah, that's tough, man, that'stough.
Gonna be working on the musicvideo january at king's, so
that's, that's gonna be hot.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So you guys ready for a fireshow?
Yes, sir, man, we have so muchto get into.
Today We've got week 14.
Fire, a whole bunch of games.
This week we have the CarolinaPanthers, even though they've

(01:37):
lost.
They've lost two in a row.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
They were close.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
My Carolina Panther homers here swear they're on
fire now.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
We the rest robbed us in both games, literally like
the touchdown we should have gotlike he was in bounds.
Then the chiefs game.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
You know, the chiefs got bailed out, as always, okay
so, all right, crazy, hold on,but we're not gonna talk about
that it's what it's whathappened.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
This is what the chiefs do okay, okay.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
so by that same logic then I'm on fire from my Green
Bay Packer pick last night.
Then.
So, because I was right there,I almost I basically had it, I
basically won.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
No, you didn't have it at all.
No, you never had it.
Shut up sir, you never had it.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Yeah, you know when Jared, hey, shout out to you
guys for getting that right.
So you both had that right, along with Brianna, who will be
joining us later in the show.
You guys all had that right.
I went out on a limb, got thatone wrong man I was.
Whew, you guys are luckybecause I was going to be on one
.
First of all, my pockets weregoing to be a little heavier if
I won that.

(02:47):
A cause out there was going tobenefit from that, but that's
okay.
I've got the Chargers-Chiefsgame to make it up and give to a
good cause as well as pad mypockets.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
so that's okay, Our boss should be worried watching
this show, man, if you were, youall should be worried watching
this show.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
Man, if you were, and you know my home's going to use
this as a receipt.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
That's right.
Yeah, I watch Pickup Pros man.
They get their pictures wrong.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
That's hilarious.
All right, well, welcome backfellas.
Well, let's go ahead and getinto it.
Let's get into our first topic.
Let's talk about Bryce Young.
All right, so Bryce Young.
All right.
So Bryce, here he.
You know, everyone was sayingthat he was a bust last year.
Okay, not everyone, well, everyone but you, that's right.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
I still believed in him.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
You were the only one .
Now, Chris, you saw someflashes, so you, you know, were
hoping for sure, but Diegodefinitely was sticking with him
through thick and thin.
However, when he got benchedand then Andy Dalton came in,
Andy came in flinging that ball, you were looking.
You were looking a little shaky, but hey, he has, he's playing

(03:59):
a lot better.
Yeah, certainly, but Diego, let's start with you.
Man Is Bryce Young.
Is he no longer a bust?

Speaker 3 (04:06):
He was never a bust.
Okay, he just needed some time.
You know he's needed.
You know the O-line around theO-line's good now, good running
game.
You know solid offense, youknow system and good coaching.
But yeah, he's not a bust andnever was a bust.
And you know, now he's lookinggood.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
Okay, now he's looking good.
Yeah, okay, even though he'slost two in a row, he's looking
good now.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
No, it's like they were close.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
Rebs sold us.
Okay, we should have won, andhe won two in a row before that.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
Yes, okay.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
Against the.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
Giants and and the Saints, which have been good.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
They've been good at times this year, at times when
they were like 2-0 and they lostto the Shreds they beat the
Eagles.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
you know what I'm saying Beat the Eagles, Beat
some good teams.
Chris, what's your?

Speaker 1 (04:54):
take man.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
All right.
So I think that Bryce isn't abust no longer and I think he's
actually given us some hope forthe future for our team no
longer, and I think he'sactually giving us some hope for
the future for our team.
My main issue with how we'velike lost these past two games
has really been our defense.
Like when we won those twogames back to back, it was like,
okay, our defense is playing upto snuff and then, like this

(05:16):
week, we like here, having runall over us and then we had them
home scramble late in the game, that kind of stopped us.
So the thing is, bryce hasplayed back-to-back weeks of
very solid football and just theconfidence that he's showing,
like the last touchdown to AndyDalton, even the fourth down
conversion, I was like, okay, wehaven't seen this Bryce since
Alabama when he won the Heisman.
So I definitely appreciate whathe's saying.

(05:37):
And the one thing I wasactually talking to my friend on
his channel about this but it'slike in the second year of
quarterbacks more recently, everybody's expecting them to be
like the next guy, like you nolonger are for the luxury of a
sophomore slump Like Mahomes 50touchdowns, 12 interceptions,
then Super Bowl right.
Then you get Joe Burrow Greatrookie season, tears ACL.

(05:57):
The second year he goes to theSuper Bowl.
So, like in recent history, everybody in the second year,
everybody's more expected like,oh, you're supposed to build on
this instead of like, low-key,go fall back to earth.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
Ooh, okay, low-key, was that a shot?

Speaker 2 (06:13):
Oh no, no, CJ Okay.
I didn't think, I didn'ttranslate that as a shot, but
low-key.
I translate that as a shot toCJ and I'm happy about it.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
I'm happy about it.

Speaker 5 (06:26):
I'm happy about it, you own it yeah.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
I own it.
That was a shot at CJ, but yousaid it on what?

Speaker 1 (06:31):
I said I was like wait no.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
CJ, that was funny.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
That's going to be so funny.
One day you meet CJ.
Who is this kid?
Oh man.
So yeah, but you know what?
That's very interesting becauseyou make a great point about
the second year.
The second year is when youstart to see if they're going to
be the real deal or not, especially the third year.
Third year is really the seriousyear, but that's interesting.

(06:57):
So a lot of quarterbacks havestruggled their first year,
especially quarterbacks thatstart game one.
And you know, the Panthers hadtheir challenges, of course, but
it's funny how those challengesare highlighted when the team
doesn't do well.
We look at, you know, lookingat CJ, the offensive line.
All we hear about is theoffensive line, offensive line
and every single problem you canimagine.

(07:19):
We didn't hear any of thoseproblems in the offseason.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
Nobody said anything about it.
Last year their O-line wasn'toff.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
And it's the same O-line.
I don't think anything haschanged.

Speaker 3 (07:28):
It's the same O-line.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
I don't think anything has changed.
It might be like the guard, like one of the guards, is like
playing really bad this year andthen, also like with Joe Mixon.
It's like it's either likeawful he like disappears so and
then also like we can'tunderstand, like the losing of
like Diggs and then like NicoCollins for a certain period of

(07:50):
time, but again eh he can't playgreat without his two all pro
receivers, I see.
I mean, there's only like twoquarterbacks all the time.
Who've like played good withlike all pro receivers?

Speaker 3 (08:02):
and Bryce is the one, xavier, leggett and Coker and
like adam that's true.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
So most quarterbacks, especially early in their
career, can't play well withouttop tier receivers.
But bryce does not have anyreceiver.
That we would say is top tier.
Yes, and that offense haslooked very efficient so I will
say that yeah, great point.
All right.
Well, let's move on to our nexttopic.
Guys, we have to pick thesegames, so I've got to get the

(08:32):
chain back.
So, diego, you snatched thechain off of my chest last week.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
You and Bree did it's business as usual.
Business as usual.
Okay, you were making a big bigdeal about when you won.
It Business as usual.
Okay, you were making a big bigdeal about when you won, and
that's just business as usual,Of course.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
Well, that's okay, because I'm going to make an
even bigger deal when I win thisweek.
I'm going to make an even biggerdeal and I'm going to make an
even bigger deal from being downin the hole with the Detroit
Lions-Packer game Because I'mgoing to chase y'all down.
I'm going to do LeBron chasedown block, although that might
not be the best analogy rightnow with the slump that the
Lakers are having, but that'sokay, that's a different topic

(09:06):
here.
But let's get into these games, man.
Let's get into it, All right.
So first one we've got the Jets.
Aaron Rodgers and Cruz travelto Miami to play Tua the guy
that was third in my MVP ranking.
I might have to adjust that.

Speaker 3 (09:23):
Miami's a 6-point play.
That's a 6.4.
A little shiver.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
As Bree said, that was my list, my special list,
your list, not anyone else.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
My special- list On an island.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
I think we all agree on this one, so we'll probably
be quick on this one.
Diego, who do we have?

Speaker 3 (09:43):
Yeah, we all got the Dolphins this one.
As I said a few weeks ago, Ijust stopped picking the Jets
because they just keep lettingme down.
Aaron Rodgers has been playingwell.
They are in Miami where theyare comfortable, so I'm going
with Miami.

Speaker 2 (09:59):
Warm weather.
You know, dolphins, and howthat offense looks.
In warm weather, That'll be allright.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
You know, dolphins, and how that offense looks in
warm weather, that'll be allright, absolutely Easily.
Yeah yeah, not nothing toreally say about this one.
Uh, definitely go with thedolphins.
Uh, this, this is a.
This is a no brainer for sure, all right.
Next game that we've got we'vegot the Atlanta Falcons
traveling in Minnesota to playthe Vikings.
Um, yeah, that's right, that'sright.

(10:26):
Yeah, this is the Kirk CousinsBowl here.
This one, I wouldn't say it's ano-brainer, but we all agree
for sure on this one.
Who do we have in this one, diego?

Speaker 3 (10:32):
We all got Minnesota in this one Atlanta.
They haven't been looking sogood recently.
Kirk's been cooling down alittle bit since his 500-yard
game a few months ago and youknow I think these Minnesota
they're at home, so they got abig advantage there.
But I just kind of wantMinnesota to lose one late
because I want Detroit to have alittle bit of a cushion and you

(10:55):
know, solidify that spot alittle bit.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
Yeah, I would like to see Detroit at home, but I'll
touch on that a little later, and I call Kirk Cousinsins
Schrodinger's quarterbackbecause it's either you get 500
guards and he looks like he'stop five, and then you get the
four interception Kirk Cousins,Because of how inconsistent he
seems to be and moreconsistently bad in more recent

(11:20):
weeks.
I have the Vikings in this one.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
Okay, All right.
Yeah, I agree We've have theVikings in this one.
I agree, We've got the Vikingsin this one.
The Falcons.
I believe it will be a closegame.
The spread is what?
Five Minnesota's by five?
I definitely would not pickthem to cover this spread.

Speaker 2 (11:35):
It might be a late field goal.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
I think it could be a late field goal for sure Next
game.
I think we all agree on thisone as well.
We're getting these out of theway.
Yeah, this is game of the weekthe Saints travel to MetLife
Stadium to play the Giants.
Saints are a five-pointfavorite.
That's interesting, Diego.

(11:58):
Who do we have in this one?

Speaker 3 (11:59):
I'm going to go with the Saints.
Giants don't really have aquarterback right now.
Yeah, just Saints.
Yeahants don't really have aquarterback right now.
Yeah, just Saints, yeah forsure.

Speaker 2 (12:09):
I mean, if Derek Carr hits like two big throws, it's
over, so we're not even worriedabout this.
I got the Saints in this one.
Yeah, Panther Bowl.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
Definitely the Saints in this one and yeah they may
even cover that spread Toughwatch.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
This is a very tough watch.

Speaker 5 (12:24):
Yeah, this is a tough watch, for sure.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
For sure.
All right, next game, here wego.
We've got the Carolina Panthers, we've got some Panther
paraphernalia in the background.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
Jalen, that spreads too far, jalen.
Oh my gosh.
12 points man.
Yeah, yeah that's crazy.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
Yeah, that's crazy.
Yeah, that's crazy.
Yeah, 12 points, that is a lot, although we do have the guy
that just dropped $3.1 millionbet on the Eagles to beat the.
Panthers.
So I wonder what the return issupposed to be on that.
Yeah, can't be any more thanlike $100,000 off a $3 million
bet.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
Let X lose the money, because that's not good yeah,
especially off a 12-point.

Speaker 1 (13:04):
Oh my gosh All right Diego.
Hey man, you're supposed to bethe Panther homer.
You were talking all that stuffabout Bryce.
You believe in him.
He's hot.
Come on, man, Go ahead.
Man, Change your pick.

Speaker 3 (13:16):
I'm picking the Eagles in this one.
Eagles, they've just been on aroll and it's in Philly, so it's
going to be hard for thePanthers to win this one.
But hey, if they do win, youknow I'll be able to say I
believed in them and all that.
You know, all that good stuff.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
So it's kind of both ways here.
If they do win, you can say youbelieved in them.

Speaker 3 (13:36):
This is how I like to pick Panther games usually, but
so you know.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
Because his reverse jinx like worked like maybe
twice this season.
So like when was it the?
Giants game and then, like he'skind of, been like, okay, let's
keep reverse jinx again and seeif it'll happen, but it's so
with my pick, look.
I mean, my holy hope is anotherget moral victory where Bryce
plays well versus, like, a veryvaunted Philadelphia defense.
However, they got a dude wholikes to jump over people
backwards and get moral victorywhere Bryce plays well versus a
very vaunted Philadelphiadefense.
However, they got a dude wholikes to jump over people

(14:08):
backwards and also Jalen Hurts.
We have an awful we let BuckyIrvin get 150 yards.
If Saquon there should be a beton, will Saquon break Adrian
Peterson's single game rushingrecord?
Because that's how bad I thinkit can get.

Speaker 3 (14:27):
Will he get more than he did against the Rams?

Speaker 2 (14:29):
Yeah, because he literally had a 300-yard game
versus a Rams defense.
That's way better than what wegot on the field.
So, I am very, very scared.

Speaker 1 (14:38):
So we will see, we will see.
That is true, that's true, yeah, yeah, I'm going Eagles in this
one as well.
Nothing else to really discuss.

Speaker 3 (14:49):
Hey, maybe we're giving Bryce receipts.

Speaker 1 (14:51):
I'm definitely rooting for a moral victory,
though.

Speaker 3 (14:55):
Bryce is the spoiler, so you know he likes to do.

Speaker 1 (14:59):
Well, hey, he will be the man.
If he pulls this one off on theroad in Philly, it'll be cold
and everything All right.
Well, let's move on to the nextone.
We've got the Cleveland BrownsJameis Winston All right Coming
off that close loss.
It was such a Jameis Winstongame Coming off of that loss,
with the great quotes that hegave us traveling to Pittsburgh

(15:22):
to play the Steelers.
We disagree on this one.
Somebody's on the island onthis game?
Woo-hoo.
Who could that be, diego?
Who do you have in this game?

Speaker 3 (15:33):
I have the Steelers man.
They're 9-3.
They're 9-3, and yeah, they'reat home.
And yeah, I just don't knowabout Jameis man.
I just think their defense isgoing to pick him off at least
once or twice.
So it just depends on how manytouchdowns you can put on the
board.
But I'm just going with theSteelers All right.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
There was a great announcer who said Jameis is
either going to get four of them, it's either going to be four
touchdowns or four interceptions.
So we're just going, just lethim rock on.
That I got the Steelers, Ithink after the Browns game kind
of left a bitter taste in theirmouth.
I don't think they wereprepared for the elements being
as much as a thing and you know, maybe they can, you know, get

(16:16):
it together because they arelike pushing for the playoffs.
And the one thing I admiredabout last week with the
Steelers is the fact that theywanted to shoot out.
I've never seen like this TV.
It's like wait, anotherquarterback is balling out, like
how well Joe Burrow did.
So I definitely think that theSteelers are going to be a good
hard knocks episode.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
It will be a great hard knocks episode.
I've not been able to checkthat out yet.
I love the fact that they'redoing the whole division.
That's fantastic.
So, yes, we may have to startchecking that out tonight.
All right, well, ladies andgentlemen, I am on an island for
this game.
Yes, hey, jameis, winston, didyou guys not see the post game?

Speaker 2 (16:53):
Yes, Did you not see the post game?
He was like praying that heasked the.

Speaker 1 (16:56):
Lord right to deliver him from pick sixes, and that's
what's going to happen.
See, the problem is a lot oftimes when you guys pray.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
You're not specific enough.

Speaker 1 (17:08):
Okay, and his prayers will be answered.
All right.
This will be a letdown game forthe Steelers.
He is going to get a win and Iwill get my Packers loss back
from you guys and I'm going tosnatch it.
This will be a victory for me.
Good luck with that.
I'm going with Jameis, Winstonand the Browns in the upset win.

Speaker 2 (17:26):
All right.

Speaker 3 (17:27):
Yes, he's just desperate.

Speaker 2 (17:29):
He's down a lot of games, he's just desperate.

Speaker 3 (17:32):
Not at all.
He's just trying to catch upwith me, man.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
Not at all.
Speaking of hold on.
So with our picks.
Okay, and Bree, we're going toget your picks as well, because
we already have your pick fromThursday Between the four of us.
Okay, we're all going to pick acause, alright.
And from this week until theend of the season, pick your
cause, alright.
Whoever has the best picks, whoever has the highest rating

(17:59):
from now to the end of theseason, will donate to your
cause, alright?
So that's on the table.
So, diego, you know, shake yourhand.
You already won this season.
You're good, I'm going to goahead and concede.
You already won.

Speaker 3 (18:13):
It's over.
Thanks, man, it's over.
You beat me.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
You are back-to-back champion.
You won last year, you won thisyear.

Speaker 2 (18:32):
I did win the first season.

Speaker 1 (18:32):
I won the inaugural, that's the one that really
matters but anyway, you are backto back for winding.
Uh, let's, let's flash back tothe past real quick let's go.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
Yeah, we got to go back the very first one I want,
okay, and then the celticschampionship.
So that's what that is, yes inthe fall off that's exactly like
the toronto raptorschampionship oh no, no shots in
Toronto.

Speaker 3 (18:45):
No shots in Toronto.
Yeah, no shot at them, no shots.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
Silas, we love you.
We love you, silas.
Scotty Barnes yes, yeah, allright, but so we'll have to get
your calls.
We'll talk about that in aminute.
But yeah, we're playing forthat, okay, all right.
Well, let's get to the nextgame here.
We've got the Las Vegas Raiders.
Still feels weird saying theLas Vegas Raiders, but the

(19:10):
Raiders travel into Tampa toplay the Bucs.
The Bucs are a seven-pointfavorite.
I believe we all agree on thisone.
Who do?

Speaker 3 (19:17):
we have Diego.
Yeah, we got the Bucs in thisone.
They're at home, the home.
The Raiders just don't playgood unless they're playing the
Chiefs.
And yeah, really, buccaneers.
Shout out to Wyatt.
Shout out to.

Speaker 2 (19:29):
Wyatt, I got time for being this Baker's gonna do
Baker things.
Mike Evans, actually the oneinteresting is Mike Evans' 1,000
yard.
Watch the next few seasons, seeif he ties Jerry Rice for the
record of most 1,000 yardseasons consecutive.

Speaker 3 (19:44):
Nice we consecutively .
We'll see.
It's crazy.
Mike Evans share a record withJerry.

Speaker 2 (19:49):
Rice.
That's the thing.
Somebody on Twitter was tryingto say he's a Rudy Gobert of the
NFL.
I was like that's just rude.
That was rude.
That's interesting.

Speaker 3 (20:00):
It's rude.
Listen, he's been tooconsistent, way too consistent.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
He has won a ring.
I don't even want to have it,yeah he does have a ring, Rudy
Gobert he is a three-timedefensive player of the year I
forgot.

Speaker 3 (20:14):
Mike Evans had a ring .
I just think that's Tom Brady'sring.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
Oh man, he not following the playoffs All right
, I'll let you grab that one.
Yeah, I agree, bad luck.

Speaker 1 (20:24):
I'll let you grab that one.
Yeah, I agree.
Yeah, bucks, in this one forsure.
I don't think there's much elseto say about this one.
We good?
Alright, we're good.
Okay, let's move on.
Alright, here we go.
I think this one somebody's onthe island on this one.
Okay, we got the JacksonvilleJaguars.

(20:44):
They do not have TrevorLawrence.
Hope he seriously recovers welland gets okay, because that was
a pretty vicious hit.
But the Jags travel toTennessee to play the Titans.
Tennessee is a four-pointfavorite at home.
Yes, this will be a tough watch.
I will not be watching this one.
Diego, who do you have?

Speaker 3 (21:05):
I got the Ooh.
I'm picking the TennesseeTitans this week.
This may be the first time allyear, I think, so it feels weird
.
I'm picking the Titans, they'reat home and Jacksonville
doesn't have their quarterback,so I'm going with Tennessee.

Speaker 2 (21:20):
I'm expecting a sneaky Mac Jones day and I
figure I'm on an island on thisone.
I liked what he showed like inthe comeback of the near
comeback versus the Texans.
So I had the Jaguars in thisone because the Titans and you
know, after getting Molly Wapsout of the commanders, I think
you know they might justcompletely fall apart and come
back down to earth.
We might have to start talkingabout potential 11th

(21:42):
replacements, but we'll see okay, that'll.

Speaker 1 (21:44):
That'll be interesting.
That'll be interesting.
Well, yeah, I think, withoutTrevor Lawrence, I'm with Diego.
I'm going to go with the Titanson this one.
So, chris, this is one of yourisland games, maybe, unless
Bree's going to come in and takethe Jags.
We'll find out about that overthe next day or so, but as it
stands right now, it looks likeyou're on an island with this

(22:05):
one, so we'll see what happensthere.
So this will be where you gainground or lose ground, all right
, okay.
Next up, we've got SeattleSeahawks.
Ooh, divisional game.
They are traveling to Arizonato play the Cardinals.
Cardinals are a two-and-a-halfpoint favorite and, yeah, I

(22:26):
think one of us is on the island.
So far in this game, diego, itis you who do you have.

Speaker 3 (22:32):
I have the Cardinals in this game.
I'm surprised I'm on the islandwith this one because you know
Cardinals, they seem to playwell in divisional games.
That is true, that is true.
And they're, you knowzona, uh,playing against this divisional
team.
And yeah, I think kyler, kyler's gonna show out marvin
harrison connor, shout out tohim yeah and yeah okay, I'm

(22:56):
sorry I got seattle on this one.

Speaker 2 (22:58):
I just think that they're kind of riding high off
of these past two like very goodwins and just kind of like they
really should have lost thegame last week, like it was the
special team mishaps their waythat their offense really wasn't
performing well and, like youknow, it was getting rushed in
somehow.
Some way they've won like threestraight or something.
So like the one thing aboutthem was they're weirdly streaky

(23:19):
this season.
So I think that this continuesversus the Cardinals, Okay.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
Okay, yeah, yeah, I agree, I think the Seahawks are
right.
Seahawks got me a huge win, gotme the chain.
A couple of weeks ago, whenthey had that win, we were at
the Canes game.
Yeah, we were at the Canes game.
I was enjoying it, losing yourmind.
That was phenomenal.
Wish we had that on film.
So, yeah, so same thing isgoing to happen this week.

(23:44):
My guy, gino, is going to getme another win and get me closer
to that chain.
Thank you, sir.
Know is going to get me anotherwin and get me closer to that
chain.
Yeah, all right.
Okay, next one.
Oh boy, we've got desmondclark's chicago bears.
Uh the, uh new, they got the.
I guess the office ofcoordinator is taking over.

Speaker 2 (24:01):
Okay, it's taking over.
There's the form panthersoffice of coordinator oh, is he
okay?
Oh, boy yeah no, when, nah, itwas when.
Uh, he's actually made caleblook a little bit better.
I'm I going to go?
We didn't have.
Well, they also have.

Speaker 3 (24:13):
When was that?
Was that when we had likeDarnold?

Speaker 2 (24:15):
No, no, no, it was actually like last year when we
fired Frank Reich.
Oh wow, yeah.
So everybody's kind of like no,literally.
Did y'all not watch theThanksgiving game?

Speaker 1 (24:26):
It was balling out In the second half, In the second
half, yeah it was shaky, thefirst half it was bad, but they
got it together.

Speaker 2 (24:33):
Then he refused to be in it.
I'm not even talking about that, I'm not even losing right now.

Speaker 1 (24:37):
It's just well, that was wild.
That was wild.
Yeah, part of that caused me topick the Packers this week, but
anyhow.
So the Bears travel to the Bayto play the Niners, the Niners.
What is up with these odds, man?
They just always pick theNiners and pick them big.
The Niners are a four-pointfavorite at home, with all the

(25:00):
issues that they have.
Diego, who do you have in this?

Speaker 3 (25:03):
one.
I'm actually picking the Niners.
I mean, this is a rare game.
They're at home, they're're athome, they're playing the Bears.

Speaker 1 (25:14):
So yeah, that's why I'm picking the Niners it's a
rare occasion and you're on theisland for this one, I believe.
Chris, are you Bears?

Speaker 2 (25:23):
Yeah, I'm picking the Bears mostly because I have a
bad offense way in the secondhalf and kind of I feel like it
might be revitalized underThomas Brown.
I think this is going to be oneof those games where it's like,
hey, new coach, new system.
We're going to play for himbecause there was literal
immunity in the locker roombecause of that ineptitude of
Betty.
Everybody was like why didn'tyou call a timeout, bro, when

(25:46):
your whole offense is sayingwhat are we doing?
Yeah, y'all needed to change.
So hopefully it's that likeweird magic of having a new
coordinator that gets them towin.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
Yes, yes, this was a tough game.
The last game was with theBears and it was so funny
because Uncle Dwayne, my brother, huge Bear fan so we're trying
to take a holiday picture, right, and it's while all that was
happening.
And so we're gathering on thecouch, we've got our Buc-ee's,

(26:20):
your holiday shirts that my wifebought, and we're all trying to
gather and take a picture andmeanwhile they're blowing the
game and he's doing everythingin his power not to like start
crying or start throwing stuff.
That was the funniest thingever.
Anyway, got off track here, butyeah, I've got the Bears as
well.

(26:40):
I think the Bears redeemedthemselves.

Speaker 3 (26:44):
They will be fired up and want to get away.
That Panthers game was prettyrough, so I can kind of feel.

Speaker 1 (26:57):
Yeah that was right.

Speaker 4 (26:58):
Canadian dudes are down like a hundred right now.

Speaker 2 (27:00):
It's not To Canada.
Canada, you're down bad.
Some of your representativeshave blown a lot of stuff Shout
out to.

Speaker 1 (27:11):
Scottie Barnes.

Speaker 2 (27:12):
Shout out to Scottie Barnes.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
Let's go to the next one.
We got Buffalo Bills travelingto LA to play the Rams.
Buffalo is a five-pointfavorite, riding high, the
number one team in the AFC.
That I've been saying for weeks.
A lot of other people arefinally starting to catch up to
that.
That I've been saying for weeks.
A lot of other people arefinally starting to catch up to

(27:33):
that.
Okay, but we'll see if you guyshave caught up to where I've
been since the beginning of theseason.
Who's going to win this game?

Speaker 3 (27:38):
Diego, the Bills will win this game.
Yeah, they're just one of thebest teams in the league and
going into a Rams environmentthat doesn't have the strongest
fan base, so there may be a lotof Bills fans there jumping on
tables and whatnot, so I'm goingwith them, okay.

Speaker 1 (27:58):
Got the Bills.

Speaker 2 (27:59):
Yeah, those monsters are going to show up in LA
because we know that fan base iskind of fair weather.

Speaker 1 (28:05):
So we're going to.

Speaker 2 (28:06):
Yeah, josh Allen is going to be spectacular yet
again and, I think, notsolidified his candidacy for MVP
, because I still think ifSaquon breaks the Russian record
, he should definitely win.
But I think Josh Allen hasdefinitely moved up in my views
of the rankings for MVP, soshout out to him.

Speaker 1 (28:24):
Josh Allen will.
He's already solidified it inmy mind.
He's been my MVP for a while.
What if they lose to the Rams?
There's no way.
No way, that's not going tohappen.
No way that happens.
Just like Mike Tyson said, there's no way he was going to
lose.
There's no way that Josh Allenand the Bears lose to the Rams.

Speaker 3 (28:44):
Mike Tyson lost, did he?
Yeah, he did.
Some people say it was fixed.
I see they weren't saying itbefore.
That's right they weren'tsaying it before.

Speaker 1 (29:01):
All right, okay, so we all have the bills on this
one.
Next one We've got the oh man,I'm so excited about this one
here.
Sunday night football.
Waiting all day for Sundaynight.
We've got the LA Chargerstraveling to Arrowhead to play
the Chiefs to give them theirsecond loss, right, diego.

Speaker 3 (29:20):
No, no, it will not be.
They will not receive theirsecond loss.
The Chiefs will win their homein Arrowhead.
Don't never bet against theChiefs, because they got the
refs on their side as always.

Speaker 4 (29:34):
They're.

Speaker 3 (29:35):
Sunday night, especially it's primetime.

Speaker 1 (29:38):
It is primetime.

Speaker 3 (29:39):
Yeah, the refs are going to have their flags ready.
And yeah, Chiefs, all the wayThey'll find a way.

Speaker 2 (29:47):
Before we all hear Derek's speech, I just want you
all to know Patrick Mahomes is34-5 versus Ac west opponents
and he is 9 and 2 versus thechargers.
So let's just we're gonnabefore this thing.
We just I'm just like what hishome record is too, sunday night
, okay, okay yeah, wait, they'rein here.

(30:07):
I thought they were in LA itdoesn't even make more sense.

Speaker 1 (30:09):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (30:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (30:11):
Kansas.
City is going to win this gameand even if it's close, you know
, and it's going to come down toa Mahomes drive and a
game-winning field goal orsomething crazy is going to
happen, because that's howMahomes always plays when it
comes.
Weirdly, when it comes to theChargers in this Justin Herbert
herbert era, you find some wayto sneak out and win versus this
team and you know, I'm notexpecting any difference he

(30:35):
always finds a way, so you arenot telling a lie, but that
streak will end on sunday night.

Speaker 1 (30:42):
jim harbaugh, michigan wolverine.
Jim harbaugh has brought awhole new culture to this team.
He's already seen the Chiefsand now he's ready to go in
there and take them down.
The Chiefs are reeling and yeah, this is easy money.
This is easy money.
I'm getting everything that Ilost on the Lions game back in

(31:02):
this one and some, so I'm goingto win at least $500 to $700 on
this game.

Speaker 2 (31:08):
I'm with it.
Easy math man.
This doesn't make any sense.
This is easy money.

Speaker 1 (31:15):
So, bre, when you come on, you got to tell us who
you have in this one, becauseI'm curious.
So far I'm on the island onthis one and, yeah, I don't know
why y'all are picking theChiefs.

Speaker 2 (31:25):
Enjoy your palm trees , man.
Yeah, you said that there, onboth the Super Bowl picks and I
won.

Speaker 3 (31:30):
Why are you picking the Chiefs?

Speaker 1 (31:32):
Why are you bringing up old stuff All?

Speaker 3 (31:34):
right, all right.
The Chiefs win the Super Bowl.
Shout out to.

Speaker 1 (31:36):
Elijah, too, I saw your comment, man, he's got the
Chargers with him.
So there's one other person.
Yeah, has the Chargers with him.

Speaker 3 (31:44):
Four, all right.

Speaker 1 (31:51):
Four and five man.
Come on, this is right, you'regonna see jim harbaugh, jim
harbaugh, okay, all right, andthe uh last one, the monday
night game.
We've got the cincinnatibangles traveling to big d?
Uh to play the dallas cowboys.
Uh, and I believe we all agreeon this one, diego, who do we
have?

Speaker 3 (32:03):
yeah, we all got the bangles.
Uh, yeah, I really wanted tostop picking the Bengals this
year, but they were playing ateam that's actually worse than
them, like actually worse thanthem.
So, yeah, I'm going with themone last time and their defense
can hold this Cowboys offense atleast, maybe under 30.

(32:24):
And they will put up over 30 onoffense.
Yeah, going with them.

Speaker 1 (32:29):
Okay.
Well, Chris, you're wearing theDallas Cowboy-themed Pick'em
Pro retro shirt, so you sureyou're not taking the.

Speaker 2 (32:35):
Cowboys.
Also, I am only doing this forbrand awareness.
I know my aunt is currentlyliving this right now.
However, I am still picking theBengals in this game.
I think that they got them withsomething.
It's come to the point whereit's like, hey, they're just

(32:56):
gonna sneak up and win, maybe golike eight, nine, seven or ten.
That really sucks, because joejoe burrow has been really
playing out of his mind and hiswould literally be like winning
mvp if they like were actuallywinning games.
And then jamar chase is gonnahave a triple crown and a
contract here.
So you know, I don't know howthey're gonna afford him because
that's going to be likecontract here.

Speaker 5 (33:09):
So you know, I don't know how they're going to afford
him, because that's going to belike $45 to $48 million a year
for his services and he deservesit.

Speaker 2 (33:14):
So shout out to Jamar Chase man.

Speaker 1 (33:16):
You go get your bag next year, bro.
He will, he will, absolutely,he will absolutely get his bag.
Yeah, you know.
But so all the reasons whywe're saying Bengals is why I
picked them last week.
I'm hesitant.
If they were playing anybodyother than the cowboys I'd
probably pick against them, butum, they.
I don't think they have anychance of making the playoffs

(33:37):
now, but this is a prime timegame, monday night in dallas.
This gives them one last chanceto just show their talent and I
feel they're gonna puteverything into this game
against that win this game andthen they'll go in the tank the
rest of the season, I think andhasn't Dallas not won a
primetime game this whole season?

Speaker 4 (33:56):
And if so they've been destroyed by like 20.

Speaker 3 (33:59):
They've been killed by like 20 every single one of
those games.
Well, you know.

Speaker 2 (34:05):
Shout out to Jerry, bro, man Shout out.

Speaker 1 (34:07):
Shout out to him.
Shout out to him.
Shout out to Jerry bro man.
Shout out to him.
Shout out to him All right, well, those are our picks.
So, hey, you know where westand there and we're going to
go ahead and talk about the gamelast night.
Talk about that briefly.
And we're going to do that withthe one and only Brianna that
was with us on Thanksgiving Day.
So big round of applause, let'sbring in Brianna.

(34:31):
Hi, hey what's going on?
Not much All right, all right, good to see you.
You riding high from thatcorrect pick last night.

Speaker 4 (34:42):
Yeah, it was amazing.
What a good game, seriously.

Speaker 1 (34:45):
Yeah, it was.
It was.
It was definitely a good game.
Yeah, it was up and down.
You know the Lions jumped onthem.
Then Packers came back.
So I was feeling good about mypick and again I am full
transparency Love the Lionsfamilies in Detroit.
I know my Detroit family'swatching so I got a lot of grief
this morning in the family, that of picking the Packers.

(35:06):
But it was.
It was a strategic pick becauseI'm just seeing how the Lions
are losing people left and rightand then coming off of that
game where they could haveeasily lost to the Bears.
I thought they were ripe for ayou know, just ready for a
letdown loss there.
But they proved me wrong andwere able to pull that out.
But what's your just overalltake on that game last night?

Speaker 4 (35:29):
That game was so crazy.
My sister, who doesn't evenlike football, she was even
interested in watching it, whichI thought was crazy.
That's how you know it's a goodgame when my sister wants to
sit down and watch it.
You know that's right.
But what are you going to learnto not go against the Lions?

Speaker 1 (35:44):
I know, I know.

Speaker 4 (35:45):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (35:47):
I got to stop and then it's a no win, because then
I got the whole family goingagainst me.
So yeah, it's tough.
I need to just pick the Lions,no matter what.

Speaker 4 (35:58):
Yeah, and their defense and a lot of players are
injured.
But I think they've reallyproven themselves because they
are low on players andeverything and I think that
really just proves that they area super bowl team and they can
win it yeah, yeah, absolutely.

Speaker 1 (36:14):
I definitely agree with that and and so with with
that, um, talking about thelions and the super bowl, so
they've had a lot of injuriesand you just said you think they
, they can win it.
Um, they've had injuries.
Hutch, if they make it all theway to the Super Bowl, maybe
he'll be able to come back there, but they've got bodies
dropping left and right.

(36:35):
And the comparison that I wantto make is with the Kansas City
Chiefs.
The Kansas City Chiefs have oneloss so far, but they've lost a
lot of games narrowly.
Detroit, although Detroitearlier on were blowing people
out.
Now these last two gamesthey've squeaked by and their
defense is looking a little softin the second half of the game.

(36:56):
Does any of that concern you atall?

Speaker 4 (37:00):
A little bit, but I know that they're still good,
even though they are not thatgood of teams that they are
playing, but I still think itproves that they are good enough
to barely get by.
You know, like I don't know, Ijust feel like they can really
do it and I think that won'tchange a thing, because I mean,
the chiefs come on, no one likesthe chiefs.

Speaker 1 (37:20):
So that's true, not not anymore.
We've got uh aaron, our, uh,our lead videographer.
He's diehard chiefs guy, waschiefs from back in the day, had
his heart broken so many times,so he's one of the diehards,
but they definitely have a lotof hate right now.

Speaker 2 (37:36):
Yeah, I think it's a great redemption arc for you
know, chiefs fans Like that'sthe thing, I'm all like, what's?
Like?
I've been a big proponent ofthis.
Like, if you have a team, thatteam that all of a sudden is
good, I need you to be aWarriors fan like, oh wait,
leave team beating Dirk.
That's as far as you need to go, but new Chiefs fans popping up

(37:58):
it's kind of crazy.
There are a lot of them, a lotof them.

Speaker 1 (38:00):
Definitely a lot of Chiefs fans popping up, all
right, well, let's move to ourother topic, topic that we want
to get your expertise on Bree.
This is with Kirk Cousins.
So Kirk Cousins has beenstruggling.
You told us on the show lastweek on Thanksgiving that you
know you definitely have someties to the Falcons and your
heart is with them.

(38:22):
I'm sure you know you werestoked when you signed Kirk
Cousins.
Now I'm interested on how youfelt when they drafted michael
pennix jr right after that.
You know so.
Most people didn't like it, afew people did, but um with his
struggles, do you think theystay with him no matter what?
Or at some point do they lookto their number one, um, their

(38:45):
first round draft pick?

Speaker 4 (38:46):
right.
So when they drafted michael, Iwas like what the heck?
Because you have a goodquarterback who's a veteran,
knows what he's doing and justand they have been struggling,
yes, but he's a veteran, so heknows how to handle those
situations.
I feel like, um, but withmichael, I feel like they're
probably just going to use themnext season because they got

(39:08):
perk.
Why would they need to use theother guy right now when they
have a contract, you know?
So I feel like, and you know, kirk Cousins only does have 17
touchdowns so far this season, which is not as good as he
normally has, so maybe this ishis last year, I'm thinking.

Speaker 1 (39:24):
Yeah, yeah, I can see them definitely with all that
they've invested in themsticking with no matter what
this season, but then after thatthey may move on.

Speaker 3 (39:34):
I think he goes two seasons at the most the very
most this year and next year, but I definitely see him going
to Pennix next year.
You see, him going to Pennixnext year.
No matter what, I can see it.
I wouldn't bet on it, but I cansee it Okay.

Speaker 2 (39:50):
Well, what do you think?
I feel like the 500 yards afterthe achilles injury was like
the biggest, like fool's goldthis season.
Everyone's like oh, kirk's back, he's swag surfing, yay, no, no
, no, he's.
He's definitely come back downto earth and it's it's like
worse than like what you see, typical of kirk cousins.
But like this is like look, it'slike how he looked at prime
time in previous years andthat's what kind of pairs with
kirk cousins and he's again likehe's become one of my favorite

(40:13):
players, like throughout theleague, like when I watched the
quarterback show on netflix itwas like okay, like you're, I
kind of rock what you made andthen now I'm like this is a
little rough man.
So you know, okay, congrats ona career.
Shout out to your agent forliterally getting you paid,
because everybody he has thebest how did you get that much
money?

Speaker 1 (40:31):
shout out to him, yeah yeah, that's indisputable,
for sure, indisputable, but nowwith the um so brie, now kurt
cuz, hey, he's going, he's goinghome, he's going to minnesota.
Um, how do you think he'll playthis week in minnesota?

Speaker 4 (40:48):
um, I think it will give him the motivation to play
as good as he can for his oldfans in the stadium and his old
teammates like Justin Jefferson.
So I think with that I thinkhe's going to play really good,
and if not, then I don't evenknow.
But that's just what I think.

Speaker 1 (41:07):
Have you picked that game yet you still working on
your picks.
Did you still have another dayor so?
Yeah, I'm yeah.
Have you picked that game, yetyou still working on your picks.
Do you still have another dayor so?

Speaker 4 (41:12):
Yeah, I'm still picking.

Speaker 1 (41:13):
Still picking.
All right, all right.

Speaker 4 (41:15):
Make sure I make the right choice.

Speaker 1 (41:17):
Okay, what about the Chargers-Chiefs?
Because I was thinking aboutyou with that game.
Do you have any thoughts onthat one?

Speaker 4 (41:26):
Yes, I think the Chargers with you, you agree
with me charges, I do, becausethe chargers are eight and four
and the chiefs are 11 and oneand they're.
I feel like they're just comingto an end, like I feel like the
lions are up there with themand I think they're gonna
outshine them.
So I think the chargers aregonna swoop in and get that win

(41:46):
yep, yep, easy money, all right, all right.

Speaker 1 (41:49):
Well, you know what?
Oh, yeah, this is so.
Hey, I gotta figure out.
Uh, because, yeah, I'm mypockets.
If the chargers win that game,my pockets are going to be fat,
so I'm definitely going to peeloff, I'll peel off.
I've been spending a little toomuch.
I'm gonna peel off at least 100or so, and and and.
It's gonna go to a cause.
So, yeah, yeah I, I will donatesome of my earnings from that

(42:12):
one, because that's gonna beeasy money for sure.
Yeah, if you, oh, there's, no,if there's no, if there's a big
if three co-signed it.
we got it.
We're on, we're on this side ofthe eye.
Yeah, we got it.
We got it.
Hey, tell us in the commentsI'm sure they're coming in.
Tell us on that game, who doyou have?
Is it Chargers or Chiefs?

(42:34):
We definitely got to have toput a poll out on that one.
All right, all right, all right, bree.
Well, hey, it's always apleasure to have you.
We look forward to having youon many more of our shows and
take care, enjoy and enjoy theCardinals this weekend as well,
oh, I will Thank you.

Speaker 4 (42:52):
Thank you, guys, for having me.

Speaker 1 (42:54):
All right, our pleasure, take care.
All right, that is Bree, greatto have her on.
And yeah, yeah would love toknow her take on that the
Cardinals game too.
So, yeah, you should have askedher about that one.
All right, well, man, you guysready to talk about the NBA?

Speaker 2 (43:16):
We haven't talked about the.

Speaker 1 (43:17):
NBA since a couple weeks ago, when we were here
with C Payne last time.

Speaker 2 (43:23):
A lot of pain with the Lakers.
A lot of pain.

Speaker 1 (43:25):
A lot of pain.
A lot of pain with the Lakers.

Speaker 5 (43:29):
You like that picture .
You like that picture.
You like that picture.

Speaker 1 (43:33):
That is classic.
That's classic right there.
And Brandon, we see you in thebackground.
So we're going to bring Brandonon in a little bit to talk
about the ratings in a minute, but we'll keep this slide up.
Let's go ahead and talk about.
First, though, c-pain.
Since we have you back, let'stalk about your Lakers.
My man, you know, last time wewere talking about the Lakers

(43:56):
could go to the WesternConference Finals.
They were looking good.
Ad was looking like a MVPcandidate and everything.
It was just everything waswonderful.
Jj Redick was the next, patRiley I wasn't going that far.
Didn't you hear that?
No, we gave Pat Riley a Phil.

Speaker 2 (44:15):
Jackson talk off the regular season with
Championships Matter.
This is title town over here.
What are we doing?
Pat Riley is so nuts.
Okay, but you know yeah.

Speaker 1 (44:28):
Floor is yours.

Speaker 2 (44:29):
Well, everybody wants to call it a coaching issue
with the Lakers.
You know everybody's like.
Oh, this is the same record asDarvin Ham had last year Mr
Ham's in his pockets.
Now we're gonna we're gonnakeep it real.
Father Time might be nipping atsomebody's ankles, you know,
and that's what's getting alittle scary, and the fact that
our roster isn't we.

(44:52):
Literally, in the early part ofthe season it felt like we were
punching above our weight.
at this point, it feels likewe're coming back to Earth where
I kind of thought we were kindof like middle of the pack as a
conference team and I think thatwe're going to do the typical
thing with LeBron team.
We're going to do the typicalthing with LeBron team.
We're going to be like, made itto like the all-star break and
then we're going to look, youknow, to make a big trade to get
some star that's disgruntled, and then we're going to try to

(45:14):
make a conference finals run ora finals run.
Do I think that's possible inthe West?
After how I've seen us playsome of these younger, more
talented teams with guys who canlock up our guys who can
actually play on the perimeterbut can't guard, it's going to
be a little rough.
I just think I feel like I'mback to the Swan song train.

(45:37):
I'm just like, hey, let's justenjoy LeBron while he's here.
The whole game where he scored10 points, I got so scared.
I was like no, my goal argument,it's ruined.
We'll be fine, I think, at bestsecond round, if we get lucky
and we play a reallyinexperienced playoff team.

(45:57):
But if LeBron turns back theclock, he gives us a couple good
memories before the Thunder orone of these way better, younger
teams just puts us out of ourmisery.
So I hope not.
Uh, it's a tough watch,obviously it's a tough watch
with the team in la okay team inla still because of screw the

(46:17):
rivers, second round.

Speaker 1 (46:18):
You've adjusted.
Uh, tough watch and um ad is nolonger in the in the
consideration my friend likes tocall him a toothpick because
him and Christian McCaffrey arethe two things he always
slanders.

Speaker 2 (46:32):
So shout out to my homie DJ Always keeping me real,
keeping you real.

Speaker 1 (46:36):
All right, diego, what's your take on the Lakers
man?
Is this pretty much in linewith what you've been saying?

Speaker 3 (46:43):
Yeah, I think so, because I just don't think their
roster has it.
You know what I'm saying Liketheir roster, it's just not all
that great.

Speaker 1 (46:51):
Okay, shout out to Rob Palenka, I need to throw
Bronny in there.

Speaker 3 (46:54):
Okay, I don't know Bronny's smart.

Speaker 1 (46:58):
You know what?
Okay, let's compare the recordthough.

Speaker 3 (47:08):
What was their record when Bronny was with them,
compared to him being in the GLeague?

Speaker 1 (47:12):
is Bronny the missing piece.

Speaker 2 (47:13):
Okay, but that would be like a like a fact on our
team at this point, like oh,it's like, oh, like does LeBron
need Bronny to?
Like kind of help motivate him.

Speaker 4 (47:20):
That might be it.

Speaker 2 (47:22):
That might be it, but again, we suck because D'Angelo
Russell decides to turn upevery other game when he's like
in trade rumors.
That's true.
And then don't connect, can'tshoot but he can't defend Really
can't shoot but can't defend.
Right Austin Reeves, it dependsif he wants to show up.

Speaker 4 (47:39):
LeBron, and then we got.

Speaker 2 (47:40):
Anthony Davis.
He's either going to be hurt,he's going to ball out, or, when
LeBron's playing bad, he's likeno, I'm not going to pick up
the slack, I'll suck right withhim.
So it's like it's a mess.

Speaker 1 (47:50):
LeBron was rejuvenated when it was bring
your kid to work day.
He was playing like a madman.

Speaker 3 (47:56):
The Bucs actually haven't been as good since they
cut the Nantes, that's right, that's right.

Speaker 1 (48:03):
You need that moral support.
Yeah, moral support.

Speaker 2 (48:05):
Yes, you need it.
Okay, also, guys who can defendon the perimeter, like both
teams, desperately need it.

Speaker 1 (48:12):
All right.
So, diego, we're not going toleave you out of this.
Golden State Warriors.
Hold on, let's see.
I think I got a slide on thisone.
Golden State Warriors, my man, what's going on with them?

Speaker 3 (48:29):
They're, you know, slipping a little Warriors.
My man, what's going on withthem?
At least we're not as bad asthe Lakers.
We're 12-8 right now.
It's not the best record, notas good as it was.
We lost about five in a row, thank you.
We just really it's more movingtowards the middle of the
season, which is time for moreSteph and Draymond missing a few
more games.
We just really it's more movingtowards the middle of the
season, which is time for more, you know, steph and Draymond
missing a little few more games.

(48:51):
You know, that's just how itrolls.

Speaker 1 (48:55):
Now were you saying fifth, in the West as well.

Speaker 3 (48:57):
Fifth, and right now they're like sixth in a
tiebreaker oh my gosh and like atiebreaker for like third.

Speaker 1 (49:04):
They're kind of in that little bubble right there
Did I see Draymond Green andSteph Curry?
Were they on the bench theother day?

Speaker 3 (49:13):
They indeed were, but they won the game.
They beat the Rockets, who aresecond in the West.
That was a good win, are?

Speaker 1 (49:19):
they low managing or something wrong?

Speaker 3 (49:21):
I don't really know.
It's a regular season.
Who knows, it could be wrong.
They could have a left thumbinjury and miss that game.

Speaker 2 (49:31):
Okay, all right, okay , all right.

Speaker 3 (49:33):
Left thumb bruise, left thumb bruise.
Miss that game, man All right.

Speaker 1 (49:38):
Well, let's see we have Brandon in the background.
So, yeah, marathon, not asprint, that is true.
So, brandon, if you're ready, man, we'd love to bring you on
and get your take on this andtalk about the ratings here.
Yeah, there, he is All right, let's bring our guy Brandon on
here.

Speaker 5 (49:59):
What's up, Brandon?
What's?

Speaker 1 (50:00):
up.
Yo hey, good to see you, man.
Hey, first off, before we start, I just want to to tell you you
are a.
You know a.
My family loves everybodythat's on the show, but I always
hear about how's brandon doing, where's brandon all of that.
So you've got much love, man,and I also want to thank you for
all your support of everybodyon the show.

(50:22):
We know our guy chris hasstarted his uh, new podcast,
generational debates.
We know you've been supportinghim.
You Debates.
We know you've been supportinghim.
You've been supporting Brianna, you've been supporting
everybody.
So we appreciate you, not onlysupporting Pick'em Pros, but
everybody in our ecosystem, man,so much love to you, brandon.

Speaker 5 (50:39):
Much love to y'all too.
Appreciate that.

Speaker 1 (50:42):
All right.
Well, Brandon man, we got totalk.
We've got just a couple minutesleft here, but give us your
take on the Lakers.
What's what's going on with theLakers?

Speaker 5 (50:57):
And then we want to get your take on these, these
NBA ratings being so low.
So far as the Lakers, I thinkit's kind of like.
It's kind of like how the Westis Like there's no like like
yeah, lakers are bad, but it'slike there's no like real
separator in the West.
Like in the East it's like,okay, there's Cleveland, there's

(51:20):
Boston, okay, we know those two, but like in the West it's like
there's no like real, maybe okcand that's about it, but like
there's no real team out in thewest that's like separate
themselves above the rest.
Like okc could slip up onenight, maybe houston slipped up

(51:41):
the other night, gold statecould like get high, or denver
or minnesota like.
So I think it's justrespectfully, they're all like
bunched up and we're justwaiting for maybe like a trade
deadline to come around andmaybe that, could you know, that

(52:02):
could determine which teamstarted to pull away from other
teams in the West.

Speaker 1 (52:07):
Yeah, yeah.
And so, speaking of trade andwe'll get into the ratings here
what move would you suggest thatthe Lakers make?
I've got one in mind.
I think we all maybe havedifferent ones in mind, but if
you're the Lakers, what move doyou make?

Speaker 5 (52:31):
So they need a consistent score like maybe
somebody on the wing, likesomebody on the wing, so like
the only two names I could thinkof would be like maybe, you
know, like a brandon ingram orlike a zach levine, maybe like
somebody that's like a.
They need another 20-pointscore that could kind of take
the pressure off of LeBron andAD on some nights, because I

(52:56):
know that the rookie connect, but it's like he probably coming
off the bench or he could be inthe lineup.
Now the question is, who do theLakers give up?
Is it, you know?
I know D-Lo is probably intrade talks.
I'm pretty sure teams want, youknow, hachimura, and like

(53:19):
Austin Reeves.
So it's like it's up to theLakers.
Do they want to, like you know, know, get those players up to
pull the trigger?
Or they could go after a big, maybe like a vucevic or
valentine's, so like it's either.
what do they feel like?
I feel like they kind of needlike another score, though I

(53:43):
think they value score, though Ithink they value another score.

Speaker 1 (53:49):
Okay, what about AD?
Is AD touchable?

Speaker 5 (53:55):
Do they trade him?
I don't think you trade him.
I think you make him the guythat likes this.
I think Brian understands like,okay, I got a guy that's giving
me that like this.
I think Brian understands like, okay, I got a guy that is
giving me 25, 28 a night.
I could get my 20 on mostnights.

(54:16):
We just need another guy I'mnot saying a superstar, but at
least like an all-star caliberplayer that could stay on the
floor healthy and give us 18, 20a night.
All right, and as long as wehad that along with, let's say,
maybe they go into a buyermarket, maybe get some.
You know vets get the rightrole players in there and you

(54:42):
know, tweak the roster a littlebit and that's kind of like the
how the rest of the west iswhere it's like might what?
I think one or two moves woulddetermine who's gonna win out
from the west okay, all right, all right now.

Speaker 1 (54:59):
Um, let's, let's touch on it.
We're gonna, uh, let you closethis one out, brandon.
But, chris, I know you havesome thoughts on the ratings,
the NBA ratings, and why are theratings in the tank and is
there anything that can be doneto fix it for the NBA?

Speaker 2 (55:13):
well, there's two main things.
One, lebron.
I feel like and also like whyhe doesn't get a good whistle
anymore is because, well, like,if ever, but like is because
there's no real star after him, like, no, everybody's kind of
like still holding on to thelegacy act that is LeBron.
Even people are trying to pushWemby and try to push Luka and
try to push all these guys, butbecause their games are a little

(55:37):
bit boring and Wemby's stillcoming along, it's not looking
great.
Plus the really good teams.
It doesn't feel like they'revillains anymore.
Everybody just kind of looks atthem as corny in a way.
Like we literally like watchedthe olympics and like kind of
forgot that the celtics like wonthe championship.
I was like, oh, lebron, stephkatie, yeah, like that's what

(55:58):
everybody was focusing on.
So I, and because, like, theolder guys are still carrying
the torch and like, notnecessarily like, and I feel
like they've been trying to passthe torch but it's just not
really been happening.
And I think, like with theceltics, we it's weird because
they play like prime goldenstate and everybody should like
appreciate that because it'sbeautiful basketball, but then

(56:18):
it's like it just seems cornylike it's just like weird like
it's weird being like oh yeah, like I love the Celtics, they're
so good it just doesn't look orfeel the same.
They don't feel like they'revillains, if that makes sense
yeah, they definitely don't comeacross like that.

Speaker 3 (56:35):
I think part of it is that the older players are
hanging on too long because, they're hanging around and the
ratings rely on them and they'regetting hurt in and out of the
regular season and then they'renot really letting the younger
guys really shine really.
So I think that's maybe part ofit.

Speaker 1 (56:54):
OK, that's good, and we did touch on that a couple of
weeks ago about the older guysLeBron, kd, steph, those guys
being around and how they stillare the face, and but when
you're the face and you're notstill the best, that definitely
discourages people.
So, brandon, what's yourthoughts on the ratings and what

(57:16):
can we do to fix it?

Speaker 5 (57:18):
So I've heard this a lot of times.
I think the best answer wouldbe it's a multitude of issues
where, like, the first partwould be how the game is played.
Like I know a lot of peoplehave said oh, you know,
everybody's copying the Warriors.

(57:39):
Warriors are like hey, wedidn't tell 29 other teams to
start shooting threes.
Like we won how we won.
And if y'all want to change up,hey, that's on y'all.
So it was that.
And like this, analytics, likeDaryl Morey coming out and

(57:59):
saying, oh, threes are worthmore than twos, even though twos
are still better shots thanthrees.
So it was that.
Then it's for as, like the oldguard, new guard stuff.
I think when players come outearly, it had a pro and a con to

(58:24):
it.
Like I understood.
Like, okay, they want to comeout early, they don't want to
stay in college, that's cool.
You get in AD Zion.
Now this draft, you got CooperFlagg coming out.
It's like, although that's cool, that kind of hurts not only the

(58:45):
college game but also the NBAgame, cause, like guys still not
coming in developed.
Yeah, it's like.
Yeah, like it's great thatCooper coming out this year, but
it's like I kind of want him asa college basketball fan Also.
I kind of want him to stayelite two or three years to kind
of like work on something andthen come out where it's like

(59:08):
that's kind of hurting thecollege game as well, like high
school college.
It kind of all like rollingtogether where it's like they
kind of like like americanplayers development are getting
hurt because of au and guyscoming out a year too early,
where it's like, oh, I want tocome out first year.

(59:30):
It's like yeah, but we stillkind of want you to work on your
game before you get to the NBA.
That's true, like I said.
So really in short, it's styleof play, analytics and American
player development.

Speaker 1 (59:50):
Yeah, our American player development is definitely
lacking.
You can tell that by wheneveryou have the MVP race, you know
four of the five top people aregoing to be international.
So no, that definitely is agreat point.
So we'll have to come back inand hit these, because I want to
go deeper into some of those.
We'll have to double click that, as they like to say.

(01:00:13):
So we'll go a little deeperinto that.
But, brandon man, it's apleasure having you on.
We appreciate you, man.
Thanks for all the love andsupport, and we'll definitely
dive deeper into these when wehave a little more time, All
right, ok, all right, divedeeper into these when we have a
little more time, all right, okay, all right, hey, thank
thank you, thank you all right, all right, yeah, yeah, so yeah,

(01:00:34):
we definitely need to uh, gointo, go into that a little more
, but we are are at time, fellas, um, chris man, again
appreciate all that you do withus and we want to definitely
plug the fact that you've gotgenerational debates is now out
live.
You've already had a couple ofepisodes.
Tell them where they can watchit.

Speaker 2 (01:00:53):
So generational debates is on YouTube.
It's Jenner and then the numbereight no debates Definitely is
tapping with us.
I'm going to tag it like when Iget home, but I definitely want
to like have y'all supporteverything that I'm doing.
