Speaker 1 (00:45):
Thank you, hello and welcome to the Pig and Whistle
Tales from Azeroth.
As always here at the Pig andWhistle Inn in Stormwind, I go
for a variety of subjects withregards to World of Warcraft.
I grab a bottle or a pint, sitback and enjoy the world of

(01:07):
warcraft.
Grab a bottle or a pint, sitback and enjoy this episode.
We'll be going over the 11.2ptr patch, what it entails, what
it is, what's going to becoming with it and everything in
between as well, as I'm goingto be covering something that is
to do with the podcast itselfand that will be towards the end
of the episode.
So, please, it's going to besomething that's important to

(01:27):
the episode or going forward.
So if you're interested, pleasekeep to the end and keep a
listen out for it.
And I do keep people up to dateon the Twitter or X as it is
now, so do drop me a follow overthere and I can keep you

(01:47):
updated on what is happening.
But let us start with theweekly news.
As always, we have aggregationof horror as well as the
godfather as our world bossesfor the week.
They can be located within theringing deeps as well as the
undermined.
Uh, we have BFA Time Walking aswell as Delves as our bonus

(02:08):
events.
Bfa Time Walking is new andthis, essentially, is a battle
for Azeroth Dungeons in a timewalking sense.
So you can get multiple thingsfrom that expansion for time
walking badges, and these aredifferent cosmetics, mounts,
reputations, etc.
As well as delves.
You get extra pieces of lootfor completing the delves this

(02:31):
week.
So make sure you are doing thatas and when you want to.
Classic ashram is your brawlfor the week.
Classic ashram is simply ashram, but they remove the reinforce.
Therefore, the only way thatyou can win, and the only win
condition, is if you defeat theboss.
Ok, and this is essentiallysomething that could never

(02:52):
happen or it could happen withinfive minutes.
So, yeah, it could go on for awhile or it could, you know,
finish very quickly, but usuallythe classic Ashram goes on for
a longer period of time.
So 11.2 has obviously beenannounced and it is going to go
into PTR.
If not now, I think it will gointo it very soon.

(03:17):
I'm just double checking to seeif it was on PTR now or if it's
going to be next week, becauseI wanted to check that.
No, it is on PTR right now.
Okay, cool, so it is currentlyon PTR.
They're doing raid testing, Ithink in July mainly, and the
end of the raid testing is July16th or something.

(03:41):
I believe it's something aroundthat 18th.
There we go.
July 18th yes, I believe so.
So I would imagine that thiscomes out on the 22nd of july or
the 23rd.
Um, the patch that is.
So if you're looking tocomplete anything like mythics
or a certain rating in pvp, youwant to be doing it by the end

(04:04):
of that date, so make sure thatyou are staying tuned or keeping
up to date with that.
Now, the patch itself is calledGhosts of Koresh.
Koresh is a planet that hasbeen destroyed essentially by
the Void.
Is he a Void void lord?

(04:25):
I think he's a void lord.
Uh, demencius.
Okay, now, we have actuallyencountered demencius in uh
world of warcraft before, butit's a very low scale demencius.
The place in which weencountered him was back in the
burning crusade back in 2007 innether storm, and it's one of

(04:46):
the sort of end missions innether storm if you are
following the entirety of thenether storm campaign, and it
can be overlooked.
And it's just not seen um inretail at the moment, really
like ever, because you usuallyout level some of these zones
quite quickly.
So we have it face Demetrius, and this whole patch is about

(05:09):
trying to stop them frombringing him back.
Essentially, the Ghost ofKoresh is available for testing
and this is what it entails.
You continue the War Withincampaign.
So in Ghosts of Koresh, thecampaign continues as more
pieces to, uh, to a troublingpuzzle fall into place.
With the release of this contentupdate, players will be able to

(05:31):
immerse themselves in the warwithin story as it leads up to
the next chapter of the worldsoul saga midnight.
So midnight being a very voidheavy.
So it seems expansion.
And what better way to sort ofintroduce this to the void than
to have a void lord in Demensiusbeing the final boss of this

(05:52):
expansion?
And a lot of people are sayingthat it isn't going to be a
final boss.
It looks final bossy.
Okay for the M expansion, itreally does.
I get that it might not be thefinal boss you wanted.
I get that it might have beenZalatath that you want, but
Zalatath, to me, screams like amidnight final boss or a like

(06:16):
final boss at the end of all ofit, at the end of the saga.
Okay, that's what Zalatathscreams to me and I'm hoping
that it is going to be one ofthem.
You're going to have eridicron, most likely as the second um.
Last boss in midnight is myguess, because eridicron just

(06:36):
wants to destroy the world andthe titans and all of that, and
this will allow that to open.
Eridicron will be our link tothe last titan uh, which is the
third um expansion of thetrilogy, and I imagine zalatath
is going to be the final finalboss.

(06:56):
Uh, yeah, I, I just think so,and we'll obviously have the
whole.
Oh yeah, illidan's back kind ofarc in that at the end of the uh
midnight expansion that that'llbe good, I'm pretty.
Yeah, illidan's back kind ofarc in that at the end of the
midnight expansion that that'llbe good.
I'm pretty sure Illidan'scoming back.
You can't have a last titanwithout bringing back all of the
titans that are currentlychilling having a picnic with

(07:17):
Illidan right next to them, canyou?
So he'll be coming back forsure.
I really hope that it's thesame voice actor, by the way.
He does such a good job withIllidan's voice and he's
absolutely amazing.
He kills it.
He absolutely kills it, thevoice, and it's so iconic it
really is.
So there's some unfinishedbusiness to be had on Koresh and

(07:42):
a spectre of an old enemy looms, large Forces with ill intent
are determined to bring forthDemensius the old, devouring
once more to finish off theEthereals.
Should he arise, azeroth willalso be in peril from this
dangerous Void Lord.
Hey, I got it right, it was aVoid Lord.
So, yes, demensius essentiallyengulfed the planet of the

(08:05):
Ethereals, the Ethereals beingthe people who are wrapped up in
sort of bandages.
That is their race.
They are Ethereal and theirplanet was Koresh, and so it was
destroyed by Demencius.
Explore the shattered world.
Home of the Ethereals, koresh isa fragmented, void touched

(08:26):
world just waiting for playersto explore what remains of the
little known land.
With shadowy forces workingtowards bringing demensius back
into the world, players willneed to gather their allies in a
bid to put a stop put to himand his followers.
He'll'll fight alongside ElyriaWindrunner and her mentor,
locus Walker, among others, toend the clear and present danger

(08:49):
he poses.
Players will also have theopportunity to explore Tazavesh,
the Veiled Market.
Work towards restoring theecosphere in the ecodomes.
Go phase diving, and more soTazavesh, you might think.
Oh, I know that name.
Tazavesh is a dungeon that wasin Shadowlands and it was one of

(09:09):
the Ethereals.
Tazavesh is for the Etherealsand where they trade a lot of
the goods across the cosmos kindof deal.
They can, from this, portTazavesh into the sort of
afterlife or any sort of planethat they want.
Now how they do this no oneknows at the moment, but kind of

(09:30):
makes sense.
It didn't belong in theShadowlands, not at all, so it
makes sense that they are ableto just keep porting.
But I didn't know that theywere able to port into the
realms of death.
That one's a bit crazy.
So the return to tazavesh, theveiled market, it's not just a
dungeon.
In the koresh content update, tazavesh has been brought from

(09:51):
the shadowlands to serve as ahome base for adventurers.
Glowing, glimmering shields ofenergy protect the city from the
dangers of the cosmos, uh,beyond, allowing, uh, the many
survivors of this land to have adegree of safety behind them.
Yes, it's so cool.
It's cool.

(10:11):
You know what this gives me?
It gives me the same feeling ofwhat?
Was it not korthia?
Ah, the final zone in theshadowlands?
I forget in the name of it.
You know where the sepulcher ofthe first ones is, that land?
Um, it gives me that sort oftown vibe and I don't know.

(10:35):
It's just a sour taste in themouth really.
You'll forge for the campaign, gather allies, hunt down the
mountain threats uh found inkoresh and set the stage to take
on Demetrius himself, all fromthis iconic ethereal and broker
hub of activity.
Now I hope that they go over it.

(10:56):
But OK, yeah, yeah, I'm prettysure they do.
So I'll leave that point untillater.
I think that it'll be reallycool.
They have quite a bit of freereign to do the world as it is,
because there is very littleknown in lore about this world.

(11:16):
There is very little knownabout Koresh.
All we know is that this istheir planet, this is where the
Ethereals came from, and we'veknown that for a very, very long
time now.
So it's actually quite coolthat we're going back there.
But it's kind of weird.
The war with him.
We've gone everywhere.
We've gone deep into the groundwith the Ringing Deeps,
hallowfall, ajkahet, and thenyou went further into the

(11:42):
Azeroth with Undermind, thegoblin sort of home world, and
then you went further andfurther, uh, so far that you've
gone off of azeroth now and ontoa different planet, uh, to
koresh, which is quite cool.
So you've gone everywhere inthe war within um midnight.
I would, I would imagine, takes.
I don't know, I don't know.

(12:07):
My thoughts for Midnight is thatDemensius is going to somehow
go to Azeroth and plunge it intoa void sort of darkness and
this will revamp the entireworld and allow us to play in
old Azeroth, but just in thecurrent expansion.

(12:29):
That's my thoughts on it,because they did hint that
Demencius, the size of him, isthe size of Stormwind, and I get
that.
They're just doing a comparison.
But it would be kind of cool ifhe did just attack Stormwind,
kind of like garrosh in themythic version of garrosh hell
screams boss fight, where heteleports and he sees a vision

(12:53):
of himself destroying stormwind.
Okay, that raid fight.
So it would be kind of cool, but it's actually it comes to
fruition.
He does manage to encase theworld in void.
You know it, I, I would likethat that be the case.
And you have these sort of safehavens, with silver moon being

(13:14):
revamped and you've got theexodar.
Well, not the exodar and thenar or the dragon are making a
new city in kalimdor and youhave Silvermoon in Eastern
Kingdoms.
These are your two main hubsfor Midnight.
It would be really cool becauseyou have two light protected
zones with the Draenei and theExodar, or the new city that

(13:40):
they're going to build, and thenyou have Silvermoon with the
sun, well, and all of this stuff.
They're very sort of prominentpoints that have never featured
in wow to a very big degree.
So this is their time to getthat sort of the light, almost
have the light shown on them.

(14:01):
Yeah, for an expansion, and Ithink it would be really cool to
have to be honest.
So the rush, reshi rap, rap, ohmy god, raps.
Upgradable artifact.
There we go, we got there.
Harness the power of theethereals and see the world
through their eyes.
An artifact cloak hold on,don't judge it yet.

(14:23):
Reshi raps.
Wraps can be used to try and saythat a few times quickly can be
used to transform into anenergy form, much like the
ethereals, and interact with theworld in a new way.
You use these wraps to take ona new type of content, phase
diving as well as use them inthe mana forge, omega, raid,
raid, the Open World, delves andmore.

(14:44):
Rashi wraps will upgrade andscale with you and include new
visuals as you progress throughthe content.
So the visuals are really cool.
You become more and more of anethereal wrapped up in this like
well, toilet paper is what I'mgoing to call it, but it does
look really cool.
It really really does, andpeople who want to look like

(15:07):
that.
I'm sure there'll be a transmogfor it and I think you'll be
really happy with the look of it.
I just worry that this artifactcloak is going to impact
everything and that if you don'tupgrade it, you're going to
constantly be behind, kind oflike artifact weapons or azurite
powers or anything like that.

(15:27):
It's not great.
I just hope that it isn't sortof um conduits or from
shadowlands where you have to dothis, otherwise you will fall
behind.
They need to make sure thatthere is a catch-up mechanic for
those that cannot do it.
Okay, they really need to makesure of that and I'm sure they
will.
I'm sure they would havelearned from their previous
mistakes with that, but it doeslook good and I'm very curious

(15:50):
to see the phase diving and theway that they implement these
mechanics.
I think some mechanics areessentially, you become a ball
of manna okay, and you can phasethrough certain things within
the raid uh, like like certainmechanics that require you to
turn into this ball of mana, um,and I'm hoping that it looks

(16:11):
visually really cool and itfeels just as good to use.
Okay, that's all I hope.
I really hope that they do wellwith this wrap up and go phase
diving.
So this is one of the thingsthat you can do with the wraps
enter untethered space by usingyour reshi wraps to experience a
whole new aspect of koresh.
You'll experience new creatures, objectives, world quests and

(16:34):
some new mechanics.
All within this overlay of theworld.
You can expect to see everyanything you normally would in a
world, such as treasures, rare, rare mobs or objects.
But there will also be someunique opportunities to be found
, such as warrants, aid theconstable of tazavesh by hunting

(16:54):
down notorious monsters for funand profit.
I swear to god, if this is how Imake my gold in the next patch,
I'm fine with that.
It's a bit annoying that it'spve based, but I'm fine with
that.
It sounds all right.
I'm not sure what phase divingis, though.
It doesn't really clarify it.
It kind of just feels like it'sanother way to get around the
map instead of um.

(17:16):
It's kind of replacing.
What is it?
Oh my god, dragon riding.
But I'm perfectly fine withthat for a patch.
I think that it's very good andkind of needed every now and
again, because we're going tohave a lot of dragon riding,
probably in the next expansion, and it makes sense that they're
playing with these differentthings.
They tried it in um theundermine with the car and I

(17:37):
think that was quite effective,so I'm hoping that they do this
and it's going to be just aseffective.
Same with the car and dragonriding going forward.
New system ecologicalsuccession.
Help Venari, yes, yes, yes.
Yes.
Venari is one of the bestcharacters, not best characters.

(18:02):
Her character wasn't great inthe shadowlands, but I love
vinari's voice actor.
Vinari's voice actor is so goodagain, it's um anna from
overwatch and many other things, but honestly, such a unique
voice and such a cool voiceabsolutely amazing.
I hope it's her, but there'smany different things that might

(18:28):
not have her being the voiceactor for it because of
altercations and stuff like thatin the past.
Um, and that's with just herpersonal preference to not work
with blizzard and stuff, I'mpretty sure.
Um.
So help venari.
Bring back to Koresh with hereco domes.
You'll help fill them withcreatures that thrive within the

(18:49):
ecosystem.
You'll scour previouslytraveled zones to bring back
animals to live within the ecodomes and aid them in adjusting
to life in Koresh.
It's up to you to helptransform this barren eco dome
into one filled with life andpromise for a new future.
That's really cool.
So you travel to, like elwynforest and pick up some sheep

(19:11):
and some critters and somerabbits and you know some of
this and you throw them in there.
That would be kind of cool.
I hope that after like anexpansion or two, you are able
to go and visit these eco domes.
That you've done and, dependingon how much you did back in
this patch, it actually shows areflection of that.

(19:32):
It's like, oh my god, this ecodome is completely thriving.
You know, and you'll get andyou can see that it'd be really
cool payoff, but I highly, highly, highly, highly doubt
that that would happen.
Um, yeah, it's still a reallycool feature and I think it's
trying to get people out thereto different zones, like older

(19:54):
zones, to be like, oh, this is aold zone from wow, but people
never really got to experiencethat, so that's fine.
The mana forged omega raid, amassive facility built upon the
planet to harvest cosmic energy.
Players will fight their way inand through this raid dungeon.
This raid dungeon, yeah, totake on the shadow god,

(20:16):
ethereals, who have set theirefforts towards reviving
demensius.
You'll join with your allies toultimately fight demensius in a
cosmic battle of truly epicproportions to stave off what
could be the end of azeroth aswe know it.
Oh, when I read that I gotgoosebumps.
I feel like we're going torevamp old azeroth again.

(20:39):
That's a revamp of old azerothif I've ever seen one.
Oh, that'll be good.
These are the raid bosses uh,plexus, sentinel, lumithar,
soulbinder, nazim drie prettysure I said that right
forgeweaver aries, the soulhunters optional encounter.

(21:01):
Fractilactilus, nexus, kingSalhadar, and then Demensius,
the All-Devouring.
So you have an eight boss raid, one of them being an optional
encounter.
The Soul Harvesters are theones I want to talk about.
These are the optional ones.
This is a council fight andit's of three demon hunters.

(21:25):
You have one vengeance demonhunter, one havoc demon hunter
and then you have a shadowydemon hunter.
Now, for those of you thatobviously don't know, demon
hunters only have twospecializations, specializations

(21:48):
.
I think and a lot of peoplehave obviously thought this as
well that this is an indicationthat there's going to be a third
demon hunter spec and it'sgoing to be doing, be going on,
my god, the words, and it'sgoing to do with shadow, and
this would be really cool.
I really hope that they do this, and it it's long overdue.
Demon hunters have needed thatthird uh specialization for a

(22:10):
very long time, and I'm gladthat they are finally getting
that.
What this means, though, isthat they will need to redo the
hero talents as well for demonhunters, because you're going to
have havoc, and this shadow umdemon hunter, what's going to
share the hero talents for that?
What's the vengeance and shadowdemon hunter going to be, and

(22:32):
then what's the vengeance andhavoc demon hunter going to be?
You know these sort of things,so they're going to have to redo
the hero talents as well.
The war within season, obviously.
You have multiple dungeons, andyou have a new dungeon, ecodome
Aldani.
This is a three-boss dungeonwhere you'll encounter a variety

(22:53):
of creatures, includingdevourers who are consuming the
life found there.
You'll also face thewastelanders who have dug in and
learned the purpose withintheir ecodome.
This new dungeon will beavailable immediately on, like
every difficulty, pretty much.
The dungeon bosses, obviously, are called Azhikar, tabat and

(23:18):
Awaz.
Yeah, we'll go with that.
Soulscribe.
That one's easy.
I can do that one.
These are the three bosses inthe um, where is it?
In the dungeon and for thedungeon pool.
For the mythic season, you havethis eco dome, you have my one
that I really enjoy.
Halls of atonement I like hallsof atonement.

(23:40):
You obviously have both, bothtazavesh's, so Streets of Wonder
and Solia's Gambit.
Aracara City of Echoes is back.
Dawnbreaker is back as well.
Priory of the Sacred Flame andOperation Floodgate these are
the ones.
Returning for season three, there is a new delve called the

(24:03):
Archival Assault, and within theAzure Vaults, within the Dragon
Isles, you'll encounterEthereals, ethereal Pirates and
Brokers who are plundering thedelve.
Using the Rashi Wraps, you willunlock unique challenges,
gateways to bosses or challengerooms.
You may also get a glimpse ofyour friends within the delve,

(24:24):
as well as even mourn them asyou observe their ghosts from
where they died.
This feature will be availablein a later PTR build, so if you
die in a Delve, you'll be ableto actually spectate your friend
.
Is what I'm kind of getting.
I think so Is what I'm kind ofgetting.
I think so.

(24:44):
The delve boss for this seasonIs going to be Nexus, princess
Kaivessa, and this boss was inthe very first raid tier About
the sixth boss in or something, and essentially all she does is
disappear.
She doesn't actually die, shejust walks away.
And this is going to be yourdelve boss for this week.

(25:07):
Okay, you can get two new toysas well as the delvers.
Oh, or, these are the toys thedelvers manabound ether gate
open.
Manabound ether gate opens aportal to return to the
explorers league in Dornegal.
And the oh my God, these words.
Ethergate opens a portal toreturn to the Explorers League
in Dornagal.

(25:27):
And the oh my God, these words.
The Etheric Bramometer.
Bramorpha, sorry, summons anethereal transmorpha that can
change your appearance.
Oh, that's cool.
It's a transmog toy.
That's cool.
I like that.
New world boss.
Roshanor the Untethered.
The Ethereals of Koresh firstwitness this destructive maw of

(25:50):
the void after Demencius' attack.
They believe Roshanor hasmanifested as their eternal
punishment, for it comes backaround to keep eating them and
their planet as it growsinfinitely bigger over the years
.
Quite simple season three, classsets.
So instead of doing normal tiersets, they're going to be doing

(26:14):
hero talent tier sets.
This means that your class willhave two different tier sets
for your specialization.
Sorry, you will have one tierset that is one of your hero
talents and you'll have anothertier set which is the other part
of your hero talents.
Okay.
So this means that you can geteight pieces of set, but

(26:34):
essentially it still be four setfor one of your hero talents.
That way you can dip in and out, and I really hope that they
make it so that you can get twoa week with the converter thing,
because if you start going withone of them and you realise, oh
shit, I actually need the otherhero talent set, it's not going

(26:57):
to feel good, it really isn't,so hopefully that changes.
But it's still very good, very, very good.
The PvP updates there isn't alot, and it's still very good,
very, very good.
The pvp updates there isn't alot, and it's sad to see, but,
um, they'll also be able toundertake new world quests to
vanquish their foes onvanquish's wake island.
This new point of interest is aperfect spot to hang out hang

(27:19):
out for those seeking to gotoe-to-toe in some outdoor pvp
battles.
So this is where you'll getyour bloody tokens from from the
start of the week.
Very simple, um.
I do really hope that there ismore to that for pvp updates,
and that's all I can say on thatmatter.
Really, obviously there are alot of hero changes or talent

(27:40):
changes, um, but there is waytoo many to go over.
They are also adding extracursors, so a grabbing hand
inspect, drive and resize.
These are the cursors that havebeen added or improved in
resolution, which is reallyweird.
But that is it for the patch.
It's looking good.

(28:01):
I genuinely think it's lookinggood.
I'm glad that it's coming outin july and I really want to see
what midnight is going to bring.
Okay, I hope that as soon asthey release this patch, they go
look so grateful for you guysto stick with it.
This is what we have in storeand it shows the midnight, um,

(28:24):
what is going to come in thatpatch.
Okay, and when pre-patch mightbe, potentially.
I really hope they give usupdates on that and I hope,
again, they do something withPVP in that regard.
When it's, you know, being sortof talked about, it's like, yeah
, we're looking to revamp theentirety of the rating in PvP or
looking to do something with it, because, again, we need

(28:47):
something for PvP.
It's at an all-time low andit's quite upsetting, to be
honest with you, as it is a funelement of the game.
That is where I'll end it forthis episode, but I've gone over
this so many times and I'vetried to write it down to get
points, but I'm just going totry and freestyle it.

(29:08):
Over the course of the month orso, it's been very tough to
produce these episodes, okay Interms of motivation or just
other factors, completely otherfactors.
Um, I would love to keep doingthis, but it's so yeah it.

(29:40):
It's really tough at the momentbecause I would.
There's a lot happening, ok,and that is to do with just a
lot of IRO stuff potentiallymoving and not having the
opportunity to do these goingforward as well Going to be
looking at that in the nearfuture and I'll keep you guys

(30:01):
updated on that, but what I needto do for now is currently go
back to a one episode a week, and I know that you guys might
be accustomed to getting twoepisodes a week.
Um, for a while and I doapologize I would like to do two
episodes a week, like goingback into it, but at the moment
it's a really tough right nowand there's many different

(30:25):
factors that affect this, onboth mental health, just
motivation, in terms of stuff toactually talk about as well
from WoW, because obviously thisis the first major patch that
we've had in a while.
It's, you know, slower.
It's a little bit slower andit's sort of downtime of wow,

(30:47):
obviously when mr pandariareleasing and stuff like that.
You know there's many differentfactors to this, but we will,
for the time being, be goingback to one episode a week on
fridays.
I will try and keep it at thesame time every friday.
That way there is a consistencyin it.
Please do keep um.
Please do follow twitter or x.
I do keep constant updates onthere, whether there's an

(31:11):
episode that's late, what'shappening, all of that.
I also do, uh like videos ontiktok.
You can see how active I amthere.
This is on wow stuff, mainlyarenas, the team that I play
with.
I'll do clips of that.
Just have fun.
Uh, I will also stream onyoutube.
There is constant streamshappening on youtube when we do

(31:31):
play and with the end of theseason happening, there is going
to be a lot more streamshappening throughout the month.
So please do check it out.
Please subscribe to the youtube.
Do check out etsy as well.
Multiple things are going upthere.
I'm constantly trying to getmore things out, but it's a very
slow process of find it.
You know, print it.
Something didn't go right, amend it, print it again, there

(31:55):
is a lot of you know, stuff thatcan go wrong with that and it
does take a while to get stuffout, but there is stuff
constantly.
But from now on and for theforeseeable future, we're going
back to one episode a week andagain, I do apologize.
I know that it's not ideal forsome people who do enjoy the
content and I appreciate all ofyou, I really, really do but

(32:18):
it's something that I need to doright now.
Um, just for myself.
But thank you all very muchonce again and go avala, friend,
goodbye.

(32:57):
Thank you.
