Destiny comes knocking during this week's total lunar eclipse in Pisces! When cosmic forces align with the lunar nodes, we experience those unmistakable moments that forever alter our life's trajectory. This powerful eclipse on September 7th marks a pivotal point in the Pisces-Virgo eclipse cycle that began in 2024 and continues through 2027.

Many listeners are already feeling the intense pre-eclipse energy that typically surges in the two weeks leading up to the main event. If you're experiencing sudden endings, relationship shifts, or unexpected changes – you're right on cosmic schedule. These aren't random disruptions but fated redirections aligning you with your soul's journey. The South Node in Virgo asks us to release rigid structures and perfectionism that no longer serve our growth, while the North Node in Pisces calls us toward greater intuition, creativity, and spiritual surrender.

What makes this eclipse particularly potent is its connection to Jupiter's trine with the North Node on September 1st, suggesting that whatever leaves now creates space for expansive new opportunities aligned with your destiny. Those with Pisces or Virgo placements (especially Sun, Moon or Rising) will feel these shifts most profoundly, but everyone is invited to become the artist of their own life during this transformative period. Like children engaged in make-believe who fully embody their imagined worlds, we're encouraged to envision and manifest beyond our conditioning. Even if the eclipse brings challenges, remember – when fate closes a door, it's always making room for something better aligned with your soul's purpose. Subscribe now to navigate these cosmic waters with clarity and purpose!

Hi everyone, welcome to theweek of August 31st through
September 7th.
I'm actually going a day overthis time because, of course,

(00:26):
the eclipse is on the 7th.
All right, let's just jumpright into it, because I don't
know about you, but I havealready had some fated endings
and all kinds of eclipsy thingshappening.
I think I mentioned in my lastepisode that I really feel like

(00:49):
eclipse energy is strongest thetwo weeks leading up to the
eclipse and, like I said, I'vealready had a relationship end
and things like that.
Wow, wow.
So let's just jump right in.
As I said, on the 7th we've gotthe total lunar eclipse in

(01:13):
Pisces, all right, so that's thePisces-Virgo axis, but the moon
is actually in Pisces.
So this is going to have awhole lot to do with fated
release of emotional baggage andoutworn structures, and it's
going to increase or enhancespiritual unions and creativity,

(01:36):
because we know, when fatethrows us an ending, it always
has something to do with makingroom for a new beginning.
So that's what we're talkingabout.
And, yeah, before we get intoall the details, just let me say
thank you so much for beinghere.

(01:57):
Thank you for listening to thepodcast.
I truly, truly appreciate youand if I could ask you to please

(02:19):

If you could do that, that'd besuper cool, but if not, I'm
just glad you're here and thattoo, is super cool.
Also, I want to announce a veryrare event, and I'm not just

(03:01):
So I don't run specials veryoften at all, but for eclipse
season and, I don't know, laborDay here in the United States
and whatever you want to call itI'm running a special right now
.
So I would love to read for youand if you haven't had your
natal chart done, I promise youit makes all of these planetary

(03:24):
aspects and things make so muchmore sense and they will be so
much more meaningful.
Okay, getting into the astrologynow, before we get completely
focused on the eclipse, I dowant to tell you I was actually
torn.
I think if the eclipse energyhadn't been hitting me so hard,
I think I would have talkedabout this other aspect going on

(03:47):
this week, but the eclipse isso intense already I had to do
that.
Anyway, the other thinghappening is we have this
beautiful trine between Jupiterand the North node, that's
Jupiter in Cancer, still exalted.
This is a beautiful Jupiter andthe north node is in Pisces.

(04:10):
That's part of this eclipseenergy.
This goes exact at 18 degreesand that's on September 1st.
We're going to be feeling thisall week long and it's going to
be mixed in with the eclipseenergy because, of course, the
nodes are part of what makes aneclipse.

(04:32):
But this Jupiter North Nodemoment that we get is going to
have to do with faded expansion.
I think it's very exciting.
It's a beautiful, beautifulaspect that's being formed, but
it's also going to be connectedto the eclipse.

(04:54):
Okay, so let's get into the mainevent.
It's big, it's very big.
Like I said, I've already beenfeeling it and an eclipse occurs
when either a new moon or afull moon is connected is very,
very close to the north andsouth lunar nodes, and we know

(05:17):
where the nodes are, that'swhere destiny is, that's where
fate is, and what happens duringan eclipse is it's like a jolt
of energy.
We are forced down our path, weare sort of given a giant kick
in the behind to get going inthe right direction.

(05:40):
Let me try to be clear here.
It is is always one of thosetimes where, when we look back,
we're like, yeah, thank goodnessthat happened, because I was
carrying around all kind ofbaggage that I had to let go of
or whatever.
I was not on the right trackexactly.

(06:00):
And it usually involves thatwe've been clinging to something
a person, a job, a situation, ahome, a friend.
You know it doesn't matter, itdepends on what house is being
affected, but we're usuallyclinging to something that is
outworn, that needs to go, andthe eclipse is like, yeah, I got

(06:24):
no more time for you, I got nomore time for this, you got to
get moving.
Fate is calling, destiny iscalling.
So we do look back and go.
Yeah, that was a turning pointin my life.
It was for the best all of that, but I do have to say that the
going through it is not alwaysthat much fun.

(06:47):
Now, definitely, it hits somepeople and some signs harder
than others.
I should say it hits somecharts harder than others.
If you have your sun moon orrising in Virgo or Pisces, boy,
howdy you're going to get hit.

(07:09):
You might guess from the nameof my business that I am a
Pisces moon.
It's in my 11th house.
That's friends, that's my tribe, and this eclipse is hitting me
exactly on my moon Moon.
One of the things is emotions.
This eclipse has a lot to dowith letting go and in the house

(07:31):
of friendship.
Guess what happened to me thisweek.
That's all I'm going to say,because I don't want to talk
about it, even though I've justbeen talking about it, but you
get how you put this together.
Oh, and another thing, before Iget into all of the details
about how this is going to playout, this has been going on.
This eclipse cycle actuallystarted in 2024 and it's going

(07:56):
to finish on February 20th, 2027.
That's when we're going to haveour final Pisces Virgo eclipse.
All right, so this is like somany other things that we've
been talking about this yearthat we're going to get a jolt
now with this eclipse.

(08:18):
We're going to get a jolt lateron this month, although not as
strong, because the solareclipse coming later this month
is a partial, so we won't befeeling that as strongly.
But anyway, this is not like aone and done.
This story is going to play outas we move through the whole

(08:38):
eclipse cycle.
What I am not saying is that ifyou lose a job, a person, a
situation, a home, whatever itis, this week, I'm not saying
that person, thing, whatever, isgoing to come back.
Could it happen that there'ssome back and forth?

(08:59):
It could.
More often than not witheclipses, though, we learn a
lesson.
As we go past one eclipse, youknow we take a step down our
path of destiny.
You know we move forward alittle bit and then, when the

(09:20):
next eclipse comes, we coursecorrect a little bit more.
It usually isn't the same aslike retrograde energy, where we
go over a thing.
Let's say we have a breakup andthen we retrograde and we get
back together and then we goover it thing.
And let's say we have a breakupand then we retrograde and we
get back together and then we goover it for the final time and
then we break up for real, forreal, right.
It's not usually like that.
It's usually where whateverhappens happens.

(09:40):
We get a course correction, wego to the next eclipse and we
correct more.
So into the details, this is afull moon eclipse.
That's what a lunar eclipse is.
So think of it in some ways aslike a full moon on steroids.
That's why I'm saying there'svery likely to be some kind of

(10:04):
ending or something brought tocompletion this week.
Ending or something brought tocompletion this week.
The difference between a fullmoon and an eclipse, a lunar
eclipse, is there's more of ajolt, it's bigger, it's faded,
it's intense and it's like abomb going off or a kick from

(10:24):
behind, right, it usually justisn't like oh, now I recognize
that I need to let go of X, y, z.
It's usually something thatgets brought up in real life and
there's some kind of boom.
There's a fight with a loverthat ends a relationship, some

(10:45):
drama happens at work and youeither quit or you're fired or
whatever.
It usually isn't just a slow,smooth awareness.
Does that make sense?
The other thing to keep in mindthrough this whole series is
this is the Pisces-Virgo axis.
Pisces is about intuition,spirituality, creativity.

(11:11):
It's about that inner knowing.
It's about subjective knowing.
Virgo is the opposite.
It's earthy, it'sdetail-oriented, it wants clear
structures.
Pisces is the ocean.
Pisces has no structure.
It's about riding the waves, riding the currents.

(11:31):
So this is the axis we're on.
The south node tells us whatwe're letting go of, and that's
Virgo.
We are supposed to let go ofsome of the previously important
structures in our lives.
The north node in Pisces, we'resupposed to be relying on
ourselves, our subjectivity, ourinner knowing.

(11:53):
This, if you think about it, istotally echoing the
Saturn-Neptune conjunctionthat's been playing around all
year.
Saturn structure all year, saturn structure, neptune

(12:14):
dissolving structure.
They've been asking us toreally look at the structures of
our lives and consider which ofthese is outworn.
What can we let go of?
This eclipse is saying okay, you've been doing this all year,
you've had enough time, andkaboom, let go of that structure
, that relationship, thatwhatever it is, and get moving.
Instead of taking little babysteps, it's time to leap across

(12:37):
the, the I don't know thing.
You leap across whatever.
It is.
All right, you get what I'msaying, but this is very much
faded.
So when this thing happens toyou.
I know when I went through theloss that I went through this
week, I didn't feel all PiscesZen about it.
Even though I'm a Pisces moonright, and that should come sort

(13:00):
of naturally to me.
I wasn't all Pisces about itand so now I'm looking at it I'm
like, okay, you know, I seewhat has happened and why it's
happened and I'm bringing thisinto myself, but I didn't start
there and that's kind of thisVirgo Pisces tension we've got

(13:24):
going on.
You may want to have a verymaterial meltdown first and then
go grab the meditation cushion.
You know what I'm saying.
It can be a little rocky, butthe goal is to accept, learn the
spiritual lessons and moveforward.
Now the other thing thatactually can happen, and you're

(13:47):
going to like this bit a wholelot better.
So here's the good part coming.
We may also be meeting people orfinding new opportunities that
come out of you know who knowswhere, right, they just spring
up in front of us that are alsofaded.

(14:10):
We could very much find thatwe're ending certain things, but
other faded beginnings arealready coming in, because that
North Node in Pisces is wherethe moon is, that's the growth
place, so it's reallysupercharged.
It is very possible that youbreak up with somebody on

(14:33):
Tuesday and on Thursday meetsomebody new that feels very,
very soul connected.
I'm not saying that's going tohappen to everybody.
It certainly hasn't been myexperience this week but it very
much could.
So fated beginnings can alsocome about this week.
It depends a little bit on justkind of how it's hitting your

(14:56):
chart, and I guess it alsodepends a little bit on how long
it takes for each of us toprocess whatever it is.
But no matter what, do notdespair.
The fated beginnings are coming.
I promise you they are Okay.
In addition to all of that, Iwanted to throw out there that

(15:17):
Pisces is like the waters ofcreation.
Think the water that existedbefore the world was spoken into
being.
Think the amniotic fluid Isthat what it's called where
babies are floating around.
You know what I'm talking about.
Think about those waters thatwe're floating in as we're

(15:38):
becoming little humans.
There is something deeplycreative about this area of life
that's going through expansion.
So for creatives and artistsand writers and all those people
, this is going to be a time toreally access those deep, deep

(16:00):
wells of creativity, thatconnection with the universe or
that connection to higher mind, where the art, whatever it is,
just flows.
But if you're not that kind ofartist, think about being the
artist of your life.
This is the energy thatliterally spoke the world into

(16:22):
being right.
So think about not living a lifethat's defined by some kind of
external rules, even if now Ialways say this and some people
don't get what I mean by this.
So I'll try to be clear.
Those external rules may bevery internalized Parental

(16:46):
voices, social constructs, allof those kinds of things get
embedded so deeply inside usthat we think we're following
our own rules.
But very often those are therules we were taught when we
were learning to be good boysand girls.
You know what I mean.

(17:07):
Like if we were really allowedto make our own rules, those
might not have been them, butthey feel natural to us.
This is a time to be the artistof your own life.
Think back to when you were akid and you played make-believe.
There's a point when you startplaying make-believe I don't
care what thing.
It is right Whether you wereplaying with baby dolls and

(17:30):
playing doctor, I don't knowcowboys, whatever y'all played
right.
But when you're playingmake-believe, there's a place.
When it starts, when you knowyou're playing make-believe.
It's like, okay, you're goingto be the doctor and I'm going
to be the cowboy and we're goingto do blah, blah, blah.
Right, there's a part whereyou're making it up and you're

(17:51):
very conscious that you're doingso.
But when it gets going in thatchild's mind think back to when
you were a kid and you're inthat moment space that kids get
so easily.
When that world is real, there's a place where the
pretend goes away and we'reliving it, we're in it, we're

(18:12):
doing that.
I'm really the cowboy or thedoctor or the nurse or whatever
the heck.
You're being right when it isso real like you forget that
you're making it up.
This is that kind of energy.
So for you all who are actualartist artists, yeah, but for
everybody else, you're theartist of your life.

(18:34):
If you were make-believing it,what would it look like?
What would your role be?
What environment would you bein?
Would there be fairies andmermaids?
You know what would there be?
And this is the energy.
This is that true deep soul art.
When you can make it real, it'sglorious.

(18:57):
I don't necessarily love everysingle step in the getting to it
but, like I said, it's right ontop of my moon.
It won't be that for all ofy'all, but, yeah, if there are
bumps along the way, that's justan eclipse.
Hang with it.
Have the tantrum you need tohave and then get back into that

(19:19):
Pisces energy.
Have the tantrum you need tohave and then get back into that
Pisces energy.
Go into your intuitive, innerknowing space and make your life
brilliant.
And remember this is all fated.
This is moving us toward ourdestiny.
It's good, right, it's reallygood.
That's what I've got.

(19:39):
I am wishing you the most Idon't even know what to say
easygoing, painless, smoothbumps.
I don't know what to say.
I'm wishing you the bestpossible eclipse season and,
yeah, thank you again.
So much.
Thank you for sharing.
Please, please, please do thesharing and all of that.
I can't tell you how much ithelps me.

(19:59):
And you for sharing, please, please, please do the sharing
and all of that.
I can't tell you how much ithelps me.
And until next week, go out andseize the energies of the stars
.
This is my wish for you alwaysand, yeah, I'll be thinking of
y'all while we're going throughthis.
Bye.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
